This box pop ups every time I try to type question in Firefox or Safari or Mac mail.
(JavaScript Application)
Incorrect username/password combination. Please make sure your username are valid in the options.
I went to applications/utilities/javascript (different ones) and I can not find OPTIONS. Do you have a clue to this issue? Thanks

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

JavaScript and Drop down menu help?

I'm having trouble trying to get options in my drop down menu to update in another section. I have the below script in a hidden field and everything seems to be working but it keeps picking up the last line only when doing calculations (i.e 48) when I change it in the drop down menu to say "HBZ-200" which has the value of 200 it is still only picking up the last line and value of 48.
So to put a little perspective on things the below script is in a hidden field called stndwatt, I then want to calculate that in another hidden field called calc which has the following calculations - (Qty3+ballconsump)-stndwatt, this should then update my visible field called ElectYear1 which then has the calculations of - (Qty1+Qty2)*(Qty4*Qty5*Qtycost*calcs*weeksinyear)/1000, as far as I can work out my stndwatt field is only picking up the last line below which is 48.
I'm sorry if this is vague I'm not very familar with JavaScript or PDF forms and have been scratching my head all day with this.

Are you sure the code you posted here is EXACTLY the same as the code in
your file? Did you copy&paste it?
If so, can you share the file in question?

Javascript dynamic drop down not working in Safari

This script works properly in windows IE, Firefox and mac Firefox, Camino, etc. but NOT in Safari. It controls a dynamic dropdown. Select the state 'Category' and the second dropdown 'metro' shows the city - in all browsers except Safari. For brevity, the example below shows only WY. When Category is selected, the Safari javascript console says:
"Value undefined (result of expression selectbox.options.add) is not object."
Is there anything I might be able to change so this will work in Safari? Thanks for any advice. Page is at http://look-on.com/ddTEST.html

the test page works fine in a very recent nightly build of Webkit ( the system framework behind Safari ) & Safari 2.0.4
I'm still on 10.4.9, so it's possible that 10.4.10 might fix it anyway.
..... since webkit fixes it, it's likely a bug that's been cured.
However, that doesn't help you get it working in older versions; you may get more help in the web-dev list at http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo

Alert message in javascript if drop down in 1 column is blank and other column is not blank

What I’m trying to do is have a java window alert pop up if the PNR column is blank and the BOM column is not blank on each row. I also put a cold fusion If statement around this javascript that the CN_Entry column in the Items table has to be an “N”. This code all actually works, but it only works on the row with the latest or newest item with an “N” in the CN_Entry column. I would like this to work on every row, so that if someone does this on any row, or multiple rows, this alert box will keep popping up until all the conditions are satisfied. What do I need to change to make this javascript work? Thanks.

The first thing you have to do is to remove the ColdFusion conditional logic. ColdFusion runs on the server. JS runs on the client.
The next thing is to call the function from an event that happens on the web page. form onsubmit seems like a good choice.

I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

I have virtually no experience with JavaScript and I am trying to figure out how to add some basic automation features to an Adobe form. I have a drop down box called "Hospital_Name" that will contain approximately 7 possible selections. When the user makes a selection, I would like to have the text field (called "Hospital_Address") below the drop down box populate with the corresponding address for the selection. I have the "Hospital_Address" text field configured for multiple lines and would like the address to have a line break between the street address and the city/state/zip.
For example, if the user selected "Hospital 1", the text field would display:
123 Main St
Anytown, CA 12345
Any help or examples you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

This is not a beginners task but requires a fair amount of knowledge about the structure of objects, defining strings, and structure of arrays.
Are you sure you have all the field names correctly spelled and capitalized?
Do you get any error in the JavaScript console?
Just trying the line that defines the "Location", I get the following error:
SyntaxError: invalid property id
1:Console:Exec
undefined
All the form field in a PDF are processed by using JavaScript and any error in any script will stop JavaScript processing.
It might help to have a link to the problem form.

Using Javascript to require 2 drop down menus to have something selected

Hi everyone. I'm trying to get 2 drop down menus to each have something selected when the form is submitted. I'm using javascript for this, but I can't get it to work. Basically, if one is blank and the other one isn't, I want an error to pop up saying they have to fill in the one that is blank and vice versa. What am I doing wrong? Here's what I have for the javascript and on the form below. My 2 drop down names are Mfg_Spec_Prod_Approval_Initials and Mfg_Spec_Prod_Approval_Rev. Thanks for anyone's help!

   I actually got this javascript below to work so if one drop down is left blank, and the other one is filled out, an error will pop up saying to entering either some initials or a rev. The only problem is that I have a dynamic list of drop downs in rows, so I need this javascript to run for each row. If I do the 1st row with 1 drop down selected and the other not, it gives me the error, which is perfect. But if I want the 2nd row to error out, for instance, doing the same thing, the error will not pop up. How do I make this work so it does this for each row since the list of drop downs is dynamic? My drop down menu names are Mfg_Spec_Prod_Approval_Initials and Mfg_Spec_Prod_Approval_Rev.

The Print function no longer seems to work in Firefox 6. When typing "Control P" or selecting Print from the file menu nothing happens. No error message, no drop down menu, nothing to select. Help!?

I can't print, print preview, nothing. I have several printers associated with this computer, including an HP, and PDF creator - none of these appear in a drop down menu, there is no error message, yet these all function fine if I am not on the internet!

No errors in error console. No effect using *. I tried using the dns name of my localhost both in the Firefox URL and in the javascript and I get exactly the same. I have spent a huge amount of time looking into this issue.
One thing I noticed is that if I use the examples on the internet (http://arunranga.com/examples/access-control/preflightInvocation.html or http://saltybeagle.com/cors/) they work in the same browser. These examples however, are accessed through HTTP proxies.
I am wondering if the issue has to do with using the same hostname just with different ports.

ITunes opens but without any text showing. Drop down menus have text but not the app itself. I have a Mac Powerbook Pro running Windows XP under Boot Camp.

Running under Windows XP, a few upgrades ago iTunes started opening without any text showing in the application. Clicking on PLAY will play music but no text shows to indicate what's playing and no text to show music library. Drop down windows show text but not the app itself.
Subsequent upgrades and reinstalls have not corrected the problem, When I run under iOS (Snow Leopard), iTunes opens with text and runs correctly.

Because I created FAT32 partition using Boot Camp tool few days ago I installed my custom copy of Windows XP with SP3, IE7 and WMP10 integrated using nLite (for WMP10 integration use RVM Integrator). I did not use Boot Camp tool this time - I just booted CD using Option key. Then I installed Boot Camp 2.0 drivers you can find on Mac Disk 1. After this I installed Boot Camp drivers 2.1 update. In Add or remove Programs I checked drivers - I uninstalled old drivers which call identical, but you can skip this. Everything works fine BTW it is better to format your partition to NTFS - you have much less disk errors, you do not waste time for disk errors scans during Windows startup, your data are much more safe. If you need NTFS write permissions use great tool Paragon NTFS for Mac OSX or open source NTFS driver.

Pages for the iPad and Pages for a Mac are completely different, so you have to purchase them twice, one for the iPad and another one for the Mac. The only advantage is that, if you buy another iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, you will be able to install Pages for free on all of them.
As you are running Mac OS X 10.6.8 on the MacBook, you can't purchase Pages from the App Store, so you have to buy iWork '09 on a DVD on Amazon or eBay in order to install it

Form- Submit Button/Drop-down file format and error message HELP (!!)

I am setting up a form with a drop-down menu and a submit a form button that is supposed to email the form. My coworker opened it and filled it out and pressed submit and it replied "the file may be read-only or another user may have it open..." How do I fix this problem as the creator of the form not the receiver? Also, is there a way that I can save it in a format that would allow people who do not have adobe acrobat reader on their computers to still be able to use the drop-down and submit button?

Problem with drop down list: on Windows it works, on Mac doesn't

I am reworking the MultiPageImporter2.5 script by Scott Zanelli; going to add some new features.
So far I added a drop down list so the user could choose on which pages to place a pdf/indd file: odd/even/both.
However I encountered a strange problem: on Windows it works as expected, but on Mac nothing happens when I click the popup. When I write a dialog, I almost always use automatic layout and never encountered such a problem before. But in this script the author uses fixed position for the controls so I followed his coding style:

Another question: in the script, the author created three popups. In the code, each popup has a different height (the last element of the “bounds” array) – 60, 88, 33. Does it make sense to make them different if on the screen they look exactly the same (I mean height).
Here’s my version of the script.
I think the easiest solution for me here is to rework the dialog part from fixed to automatic layout.

In my version of the script, the user will have to choose a file to be placed directly in the dialog box. The selected file can be saved into a preset. I'm reworking it for another person (not for myself) and that's what he wants.

How do I get a drop down menu to auto default to option selected a value other than the default written in the javascript?

I use web based software where I have to select from a drop down menu a particular option. However, I only ever use 1 option. Sometimes as much as 100 times a day. Is there anyway to get Firefox to auto select the same option every time? I don't have access to the source code so I cant change <option selected="selected" value="">.

A possibility would be a Greasemonkey script to do this automatically or a JavaScript bookmarklet to do it manually.
You would need to remove the selected="selected" from the currently selected option and set that attribute for the wanted option.

If there are more 'selects' then you need to adjust the element number [0] and you also need to adjust the value of the wanted option.
