Javascript error in firefox amazon s3

I'm running Firefox 27.0.1 and receive the following error message when I try to download any files from Amazon S3 using S3Fox Organizer:
[Exception... "Not enough arguments [nsIWebBrowserPersist.saveURI]" nsresult: "0x80570001 (NS_ERROR_XPC_NOT_ENOUGH_ARGS)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://s3fox/content/js/xmlhttpNew.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 729" data: no]
I have uninstalled Firefox completely, reinstalled, updated all plugins, etc. and the problem persists. I did not have this issue prior to version 27.

I understand it is an issue with the S3 Organizer extension. I have tried running the extension with the default theme, have turned off hardware acceleration, disabled all other extensions, and the problem is still present.
I do not have a problem with any other extensions. Starting in safe mode will not help me troubleshoot as the problem occurs when I attempt to download from S3 using the extension. Maybe I'm missing something with you saying to run safe mode..., but how would I troubleshoot the problem when safe mode does not allow you to run the extension.
Thanks

  • Habitual Javascript Errors in Firefox 26.0

Firefox has always had problems with javascript (:js.(fill in number)), but literally in the past week whenever I got to a Facebook photo albums, Twitter photo sections, yahoo image galleries, etc...I get script errors EVERY time that hang the system for minutes on end before I'm allowed to close out the script.
Javascript is currently enabled on my system, so it's not that. And these happens whether I have the plugin turned on or off (I almost always have plugin's set to "never" unless they are absolutely necessary for what I'm doing). I've uninstalled and re-installed Firefox multiple times. My Windows Firewall also doesn't seem to be the issue. I've done things like switch the time to let the script run, and that doesn't really help anything.
    What is the deal?

How can I find a glossary or code for .js script errors? I assume there must be one since they are numbered.
    I just got this one:

I think the problem exists with the Netscape Style Sheet that
RoboHelp generates at compile time. Is there an updated version
    available?
    -- David

When RH generates the webhelp output it uses your css file
and creates a variant of it for Netscape. It writes into that what
it needs to so as to make your output look as close as it can in
Mozilla browsers as it does in IE.
It follows that there is no update version because the file
is unique to every project and is based on the stylesheet used.
This sounds very much like the style sheet you have for IE
(lc.css) contains some "errors" that IE will tolerate but Netscape
    will not.
First of all, take a copy of your project and play around
with the copy until you get things right.
Select all the topics listed in the Topic tab and apply one
of the supplied style sheets. The topics will look rubbish but that
does not matter here. Generate a new output and see if you get the
errors. If you do not, it confirms what I have outlined.
Then you just need to track it down.
Open the lc_ns.css file and look at those line numbers for
    the clue.

  • "ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined" I started getting this JavaScript error recently whenever I start Firefox. I would like to stop getting this error

I get the following JavaScript error every time I start Firefox:
    ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined.

hello, this sounds like it's possibly caused by an addon. do you have any extension/theme installed, you can connect the "FFB" to? if not try disabling them all in firefox > addons > extensions & reenable them one by one to find out which of them might be causing the error message.

Open in another tab or window still error boxes on CURRENT window, even if current site has no problem. Page refresh causes error boxes again. Any navigation on offending site (clicking on site links, opening photos, etc.) causes, again, error boxes.

  • How can I get Firefox to display details about a JavaScript error when one occurs?

When in Internet Explorer I can set it up to display JavaScript errors as follows. Select Tools then Internet Options… then the Advanced tab. Under Browsing, find '''Display a notification about every script error '''and be sure its box is checked.
I cannot find out how to do this in Firefox. I would like for it to display details about JavaScript errors when they occur instead of doing nothing.

  • OS Hangs On Firefox and Thunderbird Javascript Errors

    Hello all,
I recently swapped out my old HD for and SSD, and cloned my HD image to the SSD. Since then, whenever there is a javascript error in either Firefox or Thunderbird, the entire OS hangs for about 30-45 seconds, and when it recovers, either Firefox or Thunderbird pops up a javascript error notification. I can't remember the exact language used, but it was something about a script on the page being unresponsive. In Thunderbird, I keep a tab open for Google Calendar and Google Contacts. I also keep a tab open for SimpleNote. So that's where the problem comes from there, but in Firefox it can be from whatever happens to be open.
I absolutely never used to get a system freeze when I had a hard drive, but now that I have the solid state drive, I get them all the time. And almost always it's from the javascript unresponsive error in Firefox or Thunderbird. And I also almost never used to get javascript errors in either app when I had the hard drive.
I've done a good bit of searching for other reports of this but could only find one somewhat similar report that had gone unresolved. It is really frustrating sitting there waiting, because the entire OS usually freezes and I can't even switch to another app.
    Machine is a 2007 MBP 2.33 GHz C2D.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    steiney

  • Javascript error message upon opening gmail only in firefox

I get a javascript error message (Error: embeds[i].attributes.getNamedItem("src") is null) upon opening gmail, but only only in firefox, not in safari. I had firefox ver. 16.0.2 installed, then downgraded to 15.0.1, but I still get the message. I have an old macbook pro, OS10.5.8 -- can't go any higher. How can I resolve this?
    Thank you.

I checked Gmail with a Firefox 16 version and it still works.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • WebDynpro browser FireFox javascript error

    Hi,
I have a WD application and in FireFox after a few clicks I am getting 'oResponse undefined' in /sap/bc/ur/nw7/js/lightspeed.js.
It happens even on onMouseOver event, so I am unable to do anything from this point on.
    SAP version: 7.31 SP 0007
    FF: v28
Is there a fix for this?
    Thanks,
    Karoly Horvath

I nailed it down: the problem only occurs with FireFox Hungarian versions, like FF28 HU:
    ( Firefox Setup 28.0.exe )
It does not happen with the en-US version. ( Firefox Setup 28.0.exe ) nor with FF 29.01 EN of FF 27.01.
Only the HU version of setup seems to be affected. IN FF 29.01 (latest) HU version I am also getting this oResponse javascript error, but the webpage is working. In previous versions it stops working, meaning if I click on a button or a menu, nothing happens (not even javascript error).
The oResponse javascript error seems to be happening on some onMouseOver event.
All of them are under Windows 7 HU 64 bit OS.
    Thanks!

  • 10.1.3 Faces: Javascript error on PPR

    Hi all,
I'm getting a Javascript error during PPR in IE 6.0. This error does not appear in FF 2.0. The error is "Invalid Argument" on line 2984 of adf/jsLibs/Common10_1_3_2_0.js:
    form.removeChild(tempParams[paramName]);
Research suggests that this error should occur when "tempParams[paramName]" was created in a different document from "form", and sure enough, with a DOM inspector, I was able to determine that the documents have different unique IDs.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? It doesn't happen in all my pages, but I can't figure out what might be special about this one.
    Thanks much,
    Avrom

    Hi Frank,
The development environment is JDev 10.1.3.2; I can see if upgrading makes a difference--but the error is actually appearing in the deployed environment, which is Oracle AS 10.1.2.
The error is getting reported by Microsoft's script debugger--without it, there's a brief flash of a warning symbol in the IE status bar, but it disappears quickly.
The reason I care about this error (although it's transient and doesn't really seem to affect the outcome of that PPR) is that I suspect it as the culprit in more worrisome behavior--after this error appears once, the <af:messages> component on the page will no longer refresh until the page is left and returned to (although no error is reported at that time). I'm so suspicious because they always go together--I've never been able to get the component to refresh after getting this error, or to keep it from refreshing without getting it. This includes the fact that neither problem surfaces in FireFox.

  • Google searches throw Javascript error "Debug Error: Exception...."

I went away for a week. Everything fine. Since I got back (May 6 2010) when I click on any Google search result a pop-up box appears (sometimes when the search results page first appears before clicking anything) with this message:
"Debug Error:Exception... "Node was not found" code: "8" nsresult: "0x80530008 (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_FOUND_ERR)" location: "chrome://ffamazonhot/content/lib/Extension.debug.js Line: 366""
Continual clicking (100+ clicks!) of the OK button eventually clears the dialogue but any subsequent search starts the whole process again. I also not that the style of the Google results p[age has changed.
I have to use a different browser for Google searches. IE7-OK Opera 9.64 - OK Chrome - OK (naturally)
I have cleared Cache, History, Cookies etc. I have tried reinstalling FF. I have disabled JavaScript in he browser. All no good.
I notice in the forums that others are having this problem in the same time range - i.e it has just started happening. I have tired contacting Google with the usual lack of success!
    Help Please!

I have disabled the Amazon Add-on since the name Amazon appears in the debug message No change.
