Javascript suddenly stopped functioning in Firefox?
I'm working with a site that stopped working in Firefox randomly. This piece of code is populating into the html each time I try to update, and I'm trying to understand it. I haven't made any changes to the javascript used in the site but whatever this is has completely disabled all the site elements that use javascript. The kicker is that it only happens in Firefox. Chrome works perfectly. I've been poring over the html all day and this is the only thing that's wrong with it- I'm at my wit's end, any ideas?

That was actually the first thing I checked and it's all enabled, but what you said sparked the idea that something else about the browser had to be interfering so I went down the line with the Firefox extensions on the computer I'm testing on, and sure enough, one of them was recently updated and has a bad string of code in it.

All these features work in IE, just not Firefox.
I have been searching the Internet for a solution, because I was sure it couldn't be "just me." But among all the solutions I've found in various places, none have restored these functions.
I have updated Java and Flash. I have checked security levels. I have tried a new Firefox profile. I have verified that the Enable button next to "Run ActiveX controls and plug-in" is selected, AND that the Enable button next to "Binary and script behaviors" is selected, AND that the Enable button under "Active scripting" is selected.
I've tried other solutions as well, but I don't even remember them all (I know, I should have written them down).*sigh* Sometimes the simplest...STUPIDEST...solutions fix the problem.
OK, I had read while I was searching for suggestions, that someone had discovered that their computer time was set wrong and this interfered with the java certificate, thus disallowing access to Google maps and Google images thumbnails. I immediately looked at my computer time and saw it was showing the correct time in the XP task bar.
What I didn't see, because I didn't check further, was that it was showing the wrong MONTH. I had used the calendar to look for a date in 2013 and apparently had selected November when I reset it. Once I corrected to December AND synced the Internet time as well, everything went back to normal (of course, duh).
Thank you for your help here. I hope the next person looking for a solution has the sense to check the ENTIRE setting for time and date. -

As for the downgrade Sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS.
Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any device.

Whether in open or private browsing, Firefox suddenly becomes non-functioning, as noted. (Seemingly) closing the browser to run CCleaner, the popup tells me I must shut down Firefox to clear the cache. Only remedy: restart the computer to reset.
Avast is my antivirus; I also run Ad-Aware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster and -- manually -- Malwarebytes. The latest quirk: running CCleaner's registry scan, "unassociated" .tif/.msn OpenFilesWith errors issues appear daily.
I've been in the middle of making an online reservation or payment, only to find the print confirmation link unresponsive; ditto for right-click, which produces an empty dropdown window (leaving me with only a select text, Ctrl C option to paste to an email.

You can also check if the issue occurs in
Clean Boot. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue.
Besides, uninstall it and re-download
a fresh copy of FireFox to check the result. If the issue still exists, create a new user account to see if it occurs.
If the issue persists, you can contact Mozilla Support directly and use Internet Explorer (IE) during the time.

The site seems to be hounded by adopt.specificclick.net. My account vanishes and forever tries to access specificclick.net. I cannot find a way to block that site. Any advice would be appreciated. I have tried several third-party blocking programs to no avail.
May be you reported the site by accidentaly.

Javascript link stopped functioning
For the last 3 years are so we have recieved CDs which contain multiple documents and a Table of contents file. Within the TOC there is the following linked code which when clicked spawns the correct document. This has worked for years and then magically stopped working a couple months ago. I'm sure this has something to do with version upgrades because it still works on older machines. Could anyone give me some pointers? Here is the code:

1. The value of the global variable does not match, or the global variable does not exist.
2. There is not "ADP:OpenReport" menu item on the machine. How does this menu item get added?
3. The function " trusted_execMenuItem" does not exist. It's probably included in a Folder-level JavaScript file.
4. There is some new security restriction.
Can you tell us exactly which version of Acrobat/Reader (e.g., 9.3.4, 9.4, etc) this does not work with? -
I have been using FaceTime regularly over the past year or so and suddenly it has stopped working. It seems to dial up and says its connecting and then just switches off. I have a number of other friends who are also having problems with this and also on their iPhones. Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

Why did my right click and drop down lists suddenly stopped working in firefox? How do get it fixed?
I have the latest firefox there is and one day when i opened it, the right click button stopped working. Then even the drop down litsts stopped working. For example if i click on the firefox icon in the top left corner, nothing happens. I have tried to reinstall firefox. No help. I don't know what to do. So if don't get rid of the problem I guess I'll just have to swich to another broswer, because this is a really really anoying bug...

Flash suddenly stopped working in Firefox
Hi
Over the last month or so I've updated Firefox and Flash a couple of times, and at some point flash stopped working and no longer loads videos. For example videos on youtube, or bbc iplayer don't play. I'm not sure at exactly what point it stopped working, and therefore don't know what I could undo.
In firefox plugins page flash v16.0.0.235 is showing up as installed and always active.
I've tried uninstalling both firefox and flash and then downloading new installs and reinstalling with no change.
I've also tried Mozilla's list of troubleshooting suggestions to no avail...

I'm running Win 7 pro 64-bit, fully up to date.

TomFor anyone interested, I tried installing previous versions combinations, and for once it seems that it's Firefox where the problem lies.
If I install Firefox v33 and Flash v16 then videos work fine. -
Both eBay photo uploaders have, suddenly, stopped working in FireFox.
When I click on the link(s), nothing happens. I have made no recent changes to add-ons, extensions, etc. I have to revert to IE to upload photos.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Javascript suddenly stopped working
Macbook Pro w/ Retina, Mid-2014, OS X Mavericks 10.9.5, Safari 7.1.3.
Safari security settings: enable Javascript checked, allow plug-ins checked, under manage website settings, Java set to allow.
Security software: Kaspersky* (recently removed - see below)
The day before yesterday I was watching a show on Hulu. The settings were set as above, along with the security software. Everything worked fine. When I was done, I closed Safari and shut down the computer. Neither I nor anyone else turned on or used the computer in any way until today. I turned it on, logged on, and opened Safari. When I went to Hulu, however, it said that Javascript was not being allowed to run. I checked my settings, and they were (and still are) set as listed above. I removed the Kaspersky software, to see if that was the problem. It then began to load Hulu, but froze in the middle of loading. It did this also with Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Vudu. I decided to check other, non-video sites. Some of those (such as Amazon and my local library website) either never loaded or loaded very slowly with errors (no graphics, etc), while others (such as my school website) loaded just fine.
It isn't the internet connection at my location. I have tried those sites with 2 other devices: an ethernet-connected desktop Windows computer (chrome) and a wireless connection through my iPhone (safari). Both display all sites just fine. So I know it's a problem with Safari on my Macbook.
Any help would be very much appreciated.Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Why did form fields suddenly stop functioning or calculating!!!
All the forms I have created stopped working from one day to the next. The numbers I enter in a field that have to change to dates, dollar amounts, and/or totals, won't do anything. I have used these forms for over a year without a problem, until now. Why is it doing this? We use these on a daily basis and need these calculations. We have to enter calculations in manually which defeat the purpose of this feature. Please help.
Answers:
1. Form was created in Acrobat 9 Standard.
2. We repeatedly open this form and save as something different. Other forms, we open often as well and just save (to replace).
3. I have attached one of the forms. The odd thing is that its the same case with ALL of our forms without exception.
