It seems there could be a several possibilities based on the code you posted.
1. The value of the global variable does not match, or the global variable does not exist.
2. There is not "ADP:OpenReport" menu item on the machine. How does this menu item get added?
3. The function " trusted_execMenuItem" does not exist. It's probably included in a Folder-level JavaScript file.
4. There is some new security restriction.
Can you tell us exactly which version of Acrobat/Reader (e.g., 9.3.4, 9.4, etc) this does not work with?

Javascript suddenly stopped functioning in Firefox?

I'm working with a site that stopped working in Firefox randomly. This piece of code is populating into the html each time I try to update, and I'm trying to understand it. I haven't made any changes to the javascript used in the site but whatever this is has completely disabled all the site elements that use javascript. The kicker is that it only happens in Firefox. Chrome works perfectly. I've been poring over the html all day and this is the only thing that's wrong with it- I'm at my wit's end, any ideas?

That was actually the first thing I checked and it's all enabled, but what you said sparked the idea that something else about the browser had to be interfering so I went down the line with the Firefox extensions on the computer I'm testing on, and sure enough, one of them was recently updated and has a bad string of code in it.

JAVAscript MM_goToURL iframe function has stopped working

I've been using a piece of javascript generated as part of an old version of Dreamweaver for a few years now with no problems. However, I visited my site the other day and discovered that one of the functions for 'MM_goToURL' has stopped working. I use this function to travel between pages in the site as well as changing iframes located within certain pages. While the code still works for moving between pages, it no longer works for iframes (or at least not on this site).
Could I ask for someone to look over my simplified code below and note any errors that may have crept in? Thanks.

I've now solved the problem by adding the criteria of 'name="iframe"' to the iframe code.

How do I code relative links as function parameters within Templates?

I am a newcomer looking for best practices for a "How Do I?" properly code relative links as function parameters within an Adobe template (DWT) which accomodates page creation at 2 different level of folders. Dreamweaver doesn't appear to handle auto-correction of relative links as function parameters as far as I can see. It's not clear to me what the best practice I should be following. While this is not exactly a SPRY question, I am hoping that someone using the Spry.Data.XMLDataSet had already found the best practice to use.
My Site
-- Multiple pages at this level and the parameter needs to be "_includes/UnitSideNavigation.xml"
SubFolder
-- Other pages at this level. and the parameter needs to be "../_includes/UnitSideNavigation.xml"
And this is the particular code snippet within a non edtable template area I would like to work for 2 levels of pages created from the template.

I use serverside includes instead of DWT for exactly that reason. Not only that, if you change anything within the template you must re-upload all of the files affected by the change; only the modified include file needs to be uploaded.

Copy and Paste Stopped Functioning

So I know how to copy and paste information. I have been doing it for years and now it has stopped functioning for me on my mac book pro =(
I can't even copy/paste things in word, text edit, skype, internet emails etc.
This is really frustrating me. I use the shortcut keys or even using the edit menu and can not get it to work... I have tried repairing disk utilities....
Someone please help!

When you are in one of the forums, near the top of the page it tells you the forum name. If you are on one of the pages that does not show the forum name (such as the page I'm on now doing this reply), there is a path such as "Apple.com > Support > Discussions > iWork '09 > Numbers '09" near the top of the page to let you know where you are.

Extended My Sites has stopped functioning correctly

I have recently extended MySites to an Internet Zone and it has stopped functioning correctly.
Previously, when i navigated to https://mysites it automatically navigated to https://mysites/my. Now, it stays on https://mysites and tells me i don't have permission to view this site. If i manually go to https://mysites/my it works fine.
It is the same behaviour for the extended internet zone. this is set to https://mysites.domain.com and works fine if i navigate to https://mysites.domain.com/my, but not if a dont type the virtual directory. As stated, this has been working fine for months
without the /my needing to be included, it has only changed since extending to the internet zone.
Any help would be appreciated.

According to your description, my understanding is that My Sites had stopped functioning correctly after you extended MySites to an Internet Zone.

Acrobat Web Capture cannot convert javascript links...?

In Matrix (Multiple Listing Service) Acrobat Adobe 10 Standard won't convert javascript links in newly created PDFs Documents from Matrix. The Error message is : Acrobat Web Capture cannot convert javascript links and the link often does not work correctly when opened in the web browser...
Is there any javascript download or work around program that can fix this problem?

Probably not. Pretty hard for Acrobat to handle all of the web JavaScript and possible function calls that could appear on a web page and be located in another directory.
If this is important to you, you can use the bug report/feature request page at adobe.com..

I would like to know how to make a link to open in to a new
window and..., I have been using javascript links to open images in

All you need is one simple line in flash an none of the HTML
stuff.

Take note tho, this might not work tested locally. You need
to upload to server and
test it online.
Now, if you have multiple windows, change the "thewin" to
something like "thewin1" "thewin2" etc...
If you keep requesting window with same name, you end up
loading other content into it.
New name assure new object and new window made.

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

Trying to load a javascript link from text file into a dynamic textfile

Can anyone help me with this problem? Im trying to load in a
newsfeed from freshcontent.net into my text field. If i put this
javascript link on an html page, the page shows correctly, which is
im supposed to get 3 dynamic links with news content headlines.

well sorry there fanmap - but I don't think you're going to
be able to get this to work. here's why: the link points to a php
file - which gathers dynamic info from a DB - the return from the
php is generating a string that is based on the DOM and
'constructs' a javascript method that in turn writes to the html
document. although we can embed html into a textField in Flash
there are a limited number of supported html tags - and JS methods
will not operate internally. in addition, (i'm not certain someone
correct this if i'm off) there's no way to 'change' the output of
the php call, therefore you will not be able to read the return
because it is designed to use the DOM and write solely to the
current document. Even if you were to access the JS method from the
swf file (which one can) it will still only write the content of
the php return to the html document - and the output is not
compatible with the textField class.

Javascript links don't work on my 2010 Macbook Pro

I've had this issue for a while now.
Javascript links such as "void", "loadmore" etc.. do not work on my 2010 Macbook Pro.
They are enabled in all browsers, (chrome, ff, safari) and do not work in any of them.

The firmware update corrects an error that may occur, however the techs would have checked the condition of the battery prior to installing a new one. If the battery was questionable, the firmware update was really not too important.
You can check the battery condition by going to the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power and see what it says about Cycle Count, Condition, Capacity: Condition anything but Normal needs to be checked and may need to be replaced.
The cycle count of 1,000 charge cycles is the typical life of a Lithium-Ion battery, the point at which the capacity drops to 80% of the as built capacity.
