Javascript to dynamically change url in submit button

Hi guys
Is there anyone who can share the code to dynamically change the url in the submit button?
Thanks
Sam

Change the button to Regular button instead of Submit and write the code in the click event of the button.
(OR)
Keep the button as Submit and remove the URL in the button properties. Place the code in preSubmit event to set the URL for submit.
The code to set the URL in any of the above approaches:
this.resolveNode("#event").submit.target = "PLACE URL HERE";
Thanks

  • Is it possible to have Dynamically changing list of  Radio buttons ?

    Hi,
    There is a list box which a list of values like 'State', 'City', etc.
    When the user chooses a value in the list box, based on the value chosen say 'City', I should display a list of Cities. The user should then be allowed to choose 1 and only city from the list.
    Is it possible to have list of radio buttons such that there is 1 radio button for each city and the user can then choose any one of the radio buttons ?
    In this case the number of cities and what those cities are is unknown. So I need to have a dynamically changing list of radio buttons. Is this possible ?
    Version of forms : Forms 6.0.5.
    Thanks in advance
    Aruna

    Hi Aruna
    You can create a lot of radio buttons and hide|display them in runtime. It is more suitable i think to use the t-list instead of radio.

  • Submit PDF form data to URL without submit button

    Our client use LiveCycle Designer to design PDF forms. We've an ASP.Net Web form application, where they want us to embed the PDF form as part of our Data Entry Form. The Entry form has a Save button. And we want to save all the entry form entries (including the PDF form) in the Save button click.
    The client PC will have adobe reader installed, so I guess we can embed the PDF form easily. I know PDF form can have Submit button and can submit data (XML) to a URL. But client does not want to place a separate Submit button in the PDF as the entry form has a "Save" button.
    Do you have any suggestion? If I'm posting in wrong place or an already answered question I apologize earnestly and please guide me.

    Check out the following:
    http://www.nk-inc.com/software/fdftoolkit.net/examples/
    You can download the open source edition for free:
    http://fdftoolkit.codeplex.com
    Or search for itextsharp on your favorite search engine
    Note: If you are able to use Static XFA forms or Acrobat PDFs you are able to parse and merge the submissions. If you are saving "Save As" a dynamic XFA PDF in LiveCycle, then your options are limited.

  • Dynamically change URL iView link

    Hi,
    I have a requirement like this:
    Button1 would open an external link from Portqal
    Button2 would open a KM document from KM
    Button3 would open a KM folder
    In future the link type of these button can change.
    These external link, KM document location and KM folder location are read from a properties file and are subject to change.
    Here is my Approach
    I have created a separate URL iViews for testing purpose and tested that with URL iView, it is possible to open:
    External link in the format of http://www.<link>.com
    KM Folder in the format /irj/go/km/navigation/documents/..../<Destination Folder> , &
    KM document in the format /irj/go/km/docs/documents/..../<Destination File>
    I have now created a single URL iView pointing to a default URL(google), and marked the URL iView parameter Forced URL - Enabled as True
    The plan is to use this single iView for invoking any type of links - be it external, KM Folder or KM document
    In WebDynpro, I have tried using the following code to call this iView:
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(("ROLES://portal_content/demo_role/universal_url_iview",
    WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_EXTERNAL,
    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,
    "forcedURL="+dynamicURL);
    Not Working! Always opening the default google link.
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(("ROLES://portal_content/demo_role/universal_url_iview",
    WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_EXTERNAL,
    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,
    "app.forcedURL="+dynamicURL);
    Not Working! Always opening the default google link.
    where dynamicURL= either  http://www.<link>.com or /irj/go/km/navigation/documents/..../<Destination Folder> or /irj/go/km/docs/documents/..../<Destination File>
    Am I missing any configuration or the code is wrong?

    You really need to open the url within an iView? Oo
    IWDWindow window=wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().
    .createExternalWindow("http://www.google.co.in","Google-search for an email address",false);
    window.setWindowSize(100,100);
    window.open();
    or
    String linkToBeOpen = "https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn";
    IWDWindow window =
    wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createNonModalExternalWindow(
    linkToBeOpen,
    "My window title");
    window.show();
    or
    import com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.portal.WDPortalUtils;
    import com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.navigation.api.WDPortalNavigation;
    if ( ! WDPortalUtils.isRunningInPortal()  ) { // standalone mode
      wdThis
        .wdGetExternalcompInterfaceViewController()
          .wdFirePlugGoToUrl(urlobject);
    } else { // portal iView mode
      WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
        ... /*set of parameters that I do not understand ;) */

  • HTTP Submit Button vs event.target.submitForm

    Dear All,
    I have a problem that looks like I would need some expert help to resove.
    I have designed a small Form with Acrobat LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2
    The plan is people to fill out the form and submit it to a script on a web page.
    Here is the problem.
    When I insert a regular HTTPSubmit button. Everithing is working just fine. All th fields are submited, and I can process them from there with my script.
    However, when I try to make a regular button and add javascript to the click event.
    event.target.submitForm({cURL: "http://mysite/myscript.php", cSubmitAs:"HTML", cCharSet:"utf-8"});
    The form is submited but non of the fields are.
    As an example output from REQUEST array in PHP.
    With the regular HTTP Submit button I get:
    Array
        [familyname] => 1
        [SubjectNumber] => 2
        [Site] => 3
    While with the above javascript I get:
    Array
        [form1] => Array
                [0] =>
    Looks like with the Javascript I somehow cannot submit the actuall fields.
    Finally, let me tell you the reason why I even want to use Javascript instead of the regular HTTP Submit button.
    My plan is so people can actually change the location where to submit the form.
    From what I read if I use a regluar submit button, the URL must be hardcoded and cannot be changed (selected, by the user dinamically)
    While if I use javascript then I can easily have a text field where people can enter the site where they want to submit the form and use it.
    Thank you very much for your help
    Please let me know if you need any further information
    Regards
    Tsvyatko

    Hey gays, thanks for answering.
    However, looks like I still have problems.
    When I insert a regluar HTTP submit button, it asks for the URL or it will give error.
    Anyhow, if I leave the URL setting blank, and try to execute the code u mentioned, I get a messege, "submit canceled" and nothing is happening,
    And if I enter something in the URL, looks like it still overites the code and submits the form the the hard coeded url.
    In addition, the regular submit button does not even allow me to enter code in the click even, so I did enterend in the mose in even,
    as to execute the code before the button is clicked.
    In addition I also tried to enter the even in a text field exit which I was hoping to use so the user can enter their own url.
    In other words.
    could please be more specific.
    On which even shown I enter the code.
    p.s.
    Finaly,
    in Form Calc
    If I enter this on the mouse enter of the button:
    form1.SCOPA_p2.HTTPSubmitButton1.event__click.#submit.#target = form1.SCOPA_p2.HTTPSubmitButton1_txt.rawValue;
    I get error accessor form1.SCOPA_p2.HTTPSubmitButton1.event__click.#submit.#target is unknown
    Any other thoughts
    Thanks

  • HTML Form Submit Button to call a procedure

    hi! been looking high and low across all forums and it seems there are specific users like myself having problems with submit button and pl/sql procedures. Hope someone can clarify on this.
    Scenario: created a html/dynamic page with a submit button(no java scripts, just plain <form action="schema.procedure" method="post"> etc) to pass values into a procedure to update database. In my case, i've hard coded the values in the procedure for testing purpose(thus my procedure don't receive any in parameters).
    Problem:
    Clicking on Submit button will result a page not found error.
    Solution read so far:
    Ensure that at least the Public has been granted Execute Access on that procedure, which i find funny cos I am logged in as the adminstrator having all the rights, heck, i even created the schemas, procedures and tables.
    Result for me:
    Page not found displayed, but when I highlight the url on that page (which is the complete address)and press Enter, the procedure went through and display the message in my procedure?!
    But if I clik on a link (pointing to the same procedure), the procedure went through immediately.
    I have tried:
    a) clearing the browser cache
    b) deleting archive versions of the page
    c) entering the whole address
    d) recreate the html page using pl/sql
    but still the same problem.
    Any advise on this? Is this a bug? how to go around this?
    Rgds.

    Hi,
    I did the following :
    1) created a procedure called test1 in schema portal30
    create or replace procedure test1
    as
    begin
    htp.p('Hi there');
    end;
    2) granted it to public
    grant execute on test1 to public;
    3)created a dynamic page like this:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Example</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <form action='portal30.test1'>
    <input type="Submit" value="click me">
    </Form>
    <H1>Example of A Dynamic Page</H1>
    <ORACLE>select * from PORTAL30_DEMO.emp where deptno = :department</ORACLE>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    4) ran the dynamic page ,works fine
    Thanks,
    Anu

  • Submit button in Web Dynpro Native and ActiveX tab

    We use LiveCycle Designer 7.1 in a SAP environment (CRM5.0/NW2004S 7.0.06). We are creating an online Interactive Form via Web Dynpro for Java using NW2004S.
    In NW2004 you have to possibility to select the 'Submit to SAP' button from the Web Dynpro tab. However, in NW2004S this has been changed into 2 submit buttons, one on Web Dynpro Native and one on Web Dynpro ActiveX tab. Does somebody know what the differences are compared to NW2004? When to choose what button and what kind of code you need to enter to send the data the SAP?
    kind regards
    Angelique Heutinck

    Sarang,
    Lets go step-by-step.
    1. Create two views in your applications lets say the names are View1 and View2.
    2. Goto Diagram View of the Window in under Windows node in your Web Dynpro Explorer in NWDS.
    3. Create Inbound and Outbound plugs for View1 namely inbView1 and outView1
    4. Repeat the same for View2. So names will be inbView2 and outView2.
    5. Create a navigational link between the Vies by creating a link from outView1 plug to inView2 plug.
    6. Goto Layout tab for the View1. This is where you have embedded the Interactive form element.
    7. Set the displayType property to native.
    8. Under Events there will be onSubmit method, craete a new method called navigateToView2 and click Go. This will take you where you can implement your logic.
    9. Fire the outbound plug of View1. See following code snippet:-
    public void onActiong navigateToView2(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
        //@@begin onActiongotoView2(ServerEvent)
        wdThis.wdFirePlugOutView1();
        //@@end
    10. Edit the Interactive form, it should open Adove LiveCycle Designer.
    11. Drag-drop Submit button from WD Native library ontot the form.
    11. Don't modify anything and check if you see below code snippet in the Editor.
    // DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - 705.20051114114126.253659.250577 - SubmitToSAP.xfo
                          ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
                          // END OF DO NOT MODIFY
    12. Now whenever you click submit button on the form, what it does is that it makes call to WD framework and the onSubmit action handler is called where you have written the code to navigate to View2.

  • Dynamically changing the file name using the submit button

    I am currently using a submit button to send information to myself from the user of the form. Is there any way to change the name of the file that is emailed as a .pdf file according to some type of parameter or data set that is collected in the form?

    Not programmatically. The attachment wil take the same name as the opened PDF. If you change the name of the PDF then it will change your form name as well. That cannot be done programmatically.

  • Dynamic Submit Button- Required Fields

    I needed a dynamic submit button that would cc a field from the form.  I found the following script and it works great, but it doesn't give an error message if someone didn't fill in a required field like a regular submit button would. Is it possible to use the script below but to check for required fields?
    // This is the form return e-mail. Its hardcoded
    // so that the form is always returned to the same address
    // Change address on your form
    var cToAddr = "[email protected]";
    // First, get the client CC e-mail address
    var cCCAddr = RegionalDirector;
    // Set the subject and body text for the e-mail message
    var cSubLine = "909 Camp Visitation Report-" + xfa.resolveNode("#subform[0].#subform[7].Country"); var cBody = "Thank you for submitting your 909 report.\n" + "Save a copy for your records";
    // Send the form data as an FDF attachment on an e-mail
    event.target.mailDoc({
              bUI: true,
              cTo: cToAddr,
              cCc: cCCAddr,
              cSubject: cSubLine,
              cMsg: cBody

    Hi,
    stefan's example uses a method that seems a bit clumsy or maybe that was the only way it could be done in 2006.  Assuming your email button is called EmailSubmitButton yo can use;
    EmailSubmitButton.event__click.submit.target = emailtarget;
    where emailtarget is a string in this format
    mailto:emailaddress?cc=emailaddress?bcc=emailaddress?subjext=text?body=text
    The bold parts you can't change but you can leave out, except for the mailto and the to email address that follows it.

  • Edit email for submit button and Javascript?

    How can I change an email address attached to a submit  button on a previously created form? 2) How can I see if JavaScript is being used with form? A prior team member created interactive forms with a submit button. Email address attached to button needs to be updated. I tried to edit in Acrobat Pro by double  clicking the button to access the properties panel, but it doesn't open. If I recreate the form to amend the address, my file size is about 1/3 of the original which leads me to believe there is JavaScript.

    Thank you. My version of Adobe Acrobat Pro X  Tools- Forms edits in
    LiveCycle Designer after the form has been created and saved.. There is no
    other edit option as shown in the screen print below. The action wizard in
    Pro doesn't seem to apply in this case. I had tried right clicking the
    button in both Pro and LiveCycle previously to no avail. However, when the
    form opens in LiveCycle, I just figured out that there is an object window
    that allowed me to modify the email address.
    However, I don't understand the file size difference or even how to find
    the JS. We both used the same original word docx. His file size is 47K and
    my recreated file is 19K, a big difference. I didn't compress mine. Any
    thoughts on what is causing the difference? The forms are on a client's
    website for external users to complete so load time is still important.
    Thanks,Vickie

    I have an Email Submit Button on my survey, which I am 'distributing'.  I would like for it to do 2 things once you click on the "Email Submit Button":

  • How to disable a submit button on click using javascript

    Hi,
    We have built custom pages for mobile device (PDT) using OAF.
    The application is running on mobile IE 6.12 browser. In mobile platform, the cursor style is not changing to hour glass upon clicking.
    Due to this, user is able to click the same button multiple times before the operation is complete and it is getting submitted multiple time. But the same is working fine in Desktop browsers.
    We have tried with ((OABodyBean)body).setBlockOnEverySubmit(true); But the API documentation states that
    "Sets If set to true, user input will be blocked after EVERY submit (not just PPR submits). This attribute is not supported on the following agent types: pda, phone, voice."
    Hence, I am trying with javascript to disable the submit button after the first click. The issue is, even in the desktop browser
    I am not able to get the button disabled after first click. Please help me.
    I have tried the following statments in PR. But none of them seems to be working.
    //Try 1: directly using id
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("document.getElementById('UpdateBN').disabled=true;document.getElementById('UpdateBN').submit()");
    //Try 2:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript:this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 3:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 4: using a function
    static final String JS_MULTI_CLICK = "<Script LANGUAGE=\"JavaScript\"> "
    +" function DisabSub(btn)"
    + "{"
    + "btn.disabled = true;"
    + "}"
    +" </Script>" ;
    OARawTextBean rawMultiClick = (OARawTextBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("JSMultiClick");
    rawMultiClick.setText(JS_MULTI_CLICK);
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript: var obj =disable(this);return DisabSub(obj);");
    Can any one please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Create two submit buttons A and B adjacent to each other.
    On page Load ,make A as rendered false and disabled true and B as rendered true. using SPEL.
    now on click of button B make button A as rendered true and Button B as rendered false through SPEL.
    In this way on button click the button will become disabled without the use of any javascript.
    Try it if it helps you...
    Thanks,
    Gaurav
