Javax.jms.TextMessage messages truncated

I use the following code to instantiate IBM MQ and create a text message
MQQueueConnectionFactory factory = new MQQueueConnectionFactory();
factory.setTransportType(JMSC.MQJMS_TP_CLIENT_MQ_TCPIP);
factory.setQueueManager(qcf_jndiName);
factory.setHostName(queueManagerHost);
factory.setPort(queueManagerPort);
factory.setChannel(channel_jndiName);
qcon = factory.createQueueConnection();
qcon.start();
qsession = qcon.createQueueSession(false,
                         javax.jms.Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
queue = qsession.createQueue("queue:///" + queueName +
                    "?targetClient=0");
TextMessage textMsg = qsession.createTextMessage(reply);
System.out.println("$$$Msg after qsession" + textMsg);
From System.out.println statement, I found that textMsg only takes the first 100 characters of reply. Would you share your solution with us?
Thanks

Hi Scott,

I have something like this in the code which is causing that error..
BusinessEvent businessevent = new BusinessEvent(s1, s2);
businessevent.setData("Opportunity " + s2 + "updated");
ArrayList arraylist = new ArrayList(1);
arraylist.add(oadbtransaction);
businessevent.setObject(arraylist);
businessevent.setStringProperty("pLeadId", getLeadId().toString());
java.sql.Connection connection1 = oadbtransaction.getJdbcConnection();
businessevent.raise(connection1);
Its asking me to import jms..but ii could not find those files in Unix..is there anyway to import these files OR any other solution to fix this error?

  • Javax.jms.MessageNotWriteableException: Message properties are read-only.

    Hi all,
          Me again, i need to know, how can i, to make available to change a message, from a queue. The subject (up) it's show the problem. I'm setting a message in that way: "message.setStringProperty("estado","ReEnviado");". The reason, of this change is to make possible, the consume of the message and "delete it" from the queue.
    Please if some, could help me,
    Thanks in Advance.

    I have copied tens of directories with JPG pictures from a CD (that I burnt using Windows XP while on a trip overseas) to my iMac's HD. The problem is that all the copied files are read-only now and I cannot edit them... I tried using Finder to make them "writable" but the yellow padlock at the bottom of the Info window of the affected files is disabled (it's pale yellow, I cannot click on it).
    My questions are:
    a) why are the files read-only in the first place?
    did you copy those files while logged in as the current user? if yes, look at the permissions of the files on the CD. in general, when you copy something via drag and drop in finder the owner and the group of the file changes but posix permissions don't change. so if they were read for the owner and the group on the CD they will still be so when you copy them to the disk. this should not normally be the issue with windows burned disks though.
    Was it the way that I copied them (drag and drop in Finder)?
    no. that was the right way to copy.
    b) is there a way to modify the properties of a directory and its content in one single command to remove the read-only attribute?
    yes, but later on that.
    c) why is the padlock disabled in Finder? I expected to be prompted for my Admin password when clicking the padlock.
    that's strange. check the ambient folder. it could be locked for example. re the files sitting in some folder you made or are they on the desktop?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • One vote for a javax.jms.MapMessage

    I need to send and receive MapMessages to integrate with other Java clients in my Flex app however i have seen that in the documentation message-type parameter of the jms property of a message destination only accepts javax.jms.TextMessage and javax.jms.ObjectMessage.
    If implementing a MapMessage would not be too difficult and someone can point me in the right direction i would be happy to contribute to the project.
    Max

    Hi Max,
    This would be a great enhancement to JMSAdapter and I don't think it'll be hard. These are the classes you need to touch.
    -JMSSettings.setMessageType should support the new message type.
    -JMSProducer.validate should support the new message type.
    -JMSProducer should have a new abstract method called sendMapMessage.
    -JMSQueueProducer and JMSTopicProducer should provide the implementation for sendMapMessage.
    I think this should be it! Once you get this working, please open an enhancement request to BlazeDS and provide your code. And let us know the bug number here so we can vote for it.

    My Steps for OJMS PRovider
    1. Creating AQ queue in DB
    2. configuration of resource adapter and provider
    3. configuration of connection factories for resourceadapter[jmsconnector]
    code:
    1. Created the Queue table in DB using the sql
    DROP USER jmsuser CASCADE;
    GRANT connect, resource,AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE TO jmsuser IDENTIFIED BY jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqadm TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aq TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqin TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqjms TO jmsuser;
    connect jmsuser/jmsuser;
    -- Create table to hold the queue, then create queue.
    -- For topics multiple_consumers must be true
    BEGIN
    DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE( Queue_table => 'SMSCP_INQTBL', Queue_payload_type => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_MESSAGE',
    sort_list => 'PRIORITY,ENQ_TIME', multiple_consumers => false, compatible => '8.1.5');
    DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE( Queue_name => 'SMSCP_INQ', Queue_table => 'SMSCP_INQTBL');
    DBMS_AQADM.START_QUEUE(queue_name => 'SMSCP_INQ');
    END;
    quit;
    Now our queue Name is queue Name : SMSCP_INQ table Name: SMSCP_INQTBL
    2. Creating the Cp and datasource for the db [jmsuser] to make java to access queue
    Creating ConnectionPool jmsDBPool
    Creating DataSource jmsDBDataSource
    Jndi jdbc jdbc/JMSDBDS
    After creating, i got the following data-sources.xml
    DATASOURCES.XML
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>

    Hi,
    I debug the application, I found my @ViewScoped ManagedBeans, they're recreated after you click a button or select a item in combobox
    Here is a piece of code:
        @PostConstruct
        public void resolveEntity() {
            Object sEntity = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap().get("entity");
            entity = (BctTbOportunidade) sEntity;
             FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap().remove("entity");
            if (entity == null) {
                entity = new BctTbOportunidade();
    I use @postConstruct to get a entity from another page in sessionMap(I set a item from a table and use this method to modify a entity in a other page).
    When I click a button or select a item in combobox in same page @PostConstruct method is called but values are lost. No Exceptions are thrown by server.
    I found a artice written by BalluC that some versions of jsf 2.1 has this behavior The BalusC Code: The benefits and pitfalls of @ViewScoped
    I already configured my web.xml to set false javax.faces.PARTIAL_STATE_SAVING
    But this behavior continues.
    The jsf version deployed in my weblogic 12c is 2.1.7.

  • When using rabbitmq-jms for vFabric RabbitMQ javax.jms.Message.getJMSDestination does not return the actual destination when it is received from a consumer listening on a Topic with a wild card

    When using rabbitmq-jms for vFabric RabbitMQ javax.jms.Message.getJMSDestination does not return the actual destination when it is received from a consumer listening on a Topic with a wild card. I have tested with both 1.0.3 and 1.0.5 clients with RabbitMQ 3.1.5.
    I was wondering if the community was aware of this problem and if there are any workarounds? If not what is the proper channel to file a bug report. An example code snippet is below. The test fails because the TextMessageMatcher expects the destination passed in on construction (second parameter) to equal the desination on the message received (aquired from getJMSDestination).
            Mockery context = new Mockery();
            final MessageListener messageListener = context.mock(MessageListener.class);
            final Latch latch = new LatchImpl();
            final String prefix = "test" + System.currentTimeMillis();
            context.checking(new Expectations() {
                    oneOf(messageListener).onMessage(with(new TextMessageMatcher("MSG1", prefix + ".1234")));
                    will(new CustomAction("release latch") {
                        @Override
                        public Object invoke(Invocation invocation) throws Throwable {
                            latch.unlatch();
                            return null;
            final Connection connection = createConnection(null, null);
            Session session = connection.createSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
            connection.start();
            Topic wildcardTopic = (Topic) getInitialContext().lookup(prefix + "." + "#");
            Topic destination = (Topic) getInitialContext().lookup(prefix + ".1234");
            final MessageConsumer consumer = session.createConsumer(wildcardTopic);
            consumer.setMessageListener(messageListener);
            MessageProducer producer = session.createProducer(null);
            producer.send(destination, session.createTextMessage("MSG1"));
            latch.await(5000);
            connection.close();
            Thread.sleep(5);
            context.assertIsSatisfied();

  • JMS Message Truncation

              We currently have a messaging bridge sitting between our Weblogic 8.1 (SP1) JMS
              queues and MQ queues. A program drops a fixed-length record onto the MQ queue
              and the bridge takes care of transferring it over to our WLS JMS queue. However,
              we have noticed that the length of the message, after it reached our JMS queue
              is smaller than that which was dropped on the MQ queue. Is there a size limitation
              that causes it to chop that message? I know I've looked at the Maximum Message
              Size on the console for that JMS queue and it's set to 2147483647. The MQ Max
              size is also set to 4MB.
              Please advise.
              Thanks
              Sami

              Tom,
              Thanks for your reply.
              I wanted to clarify that my previous message states that, per our MQ admin, the
              max size "on MQ" is set to 4MB and not the JMS max size (which is 2147483647).
              In any case, we were looking for any known bug/defect on the WL side that may
              cause such a behavior and we asked the same from our MQ contacts.

    Bottom line..... if you want to import the Copied Folder's audio exclusively for playback as a music file, you use the copy of the music file itself in the Copied Folder and not its conformed audio files (cfa and pek) of which the pek file is one (involved in the project'sTimeline waveform). You do not use cfa and/or pek as a playback audio file.
    More....
    When you write
    00001.m2ts 48000_1.pek
    In the BDMV folder, 00000.m2ts represents the movie file; 00001.m2ts represents the main menu of the disc menu; 00002.m2ts scene menu
    What you wrote tells me that you are trying to play back a standalone conformed audio file that relates to a main menu replacement audio in a disc menu. The replacement audio has 3 possible files associated with it, the audio file itself (Project Assets, .mp3, wav), the conformed audio set of cfa file and pek file (Media Cache Files Folder). The pek file is related to the waveform that you see in the audio track display style that displays the audio's waveform in the project.
    If you have imported audio to the project's Timeline and have replacement audio in the disc menu, then in the Copied Folder you should expect to find
    IN EACH CASE 3 files -  the music file itself and the associated conformed audio files (cfa and pek).
    If you remove the .pek file from the Copied Folder, the project.prel that you open from there will have audio issues (no audio track display waveform and
    probably no sound). The program automatically generates these conformed audio files if deleted, but.... that is another story.
    You are not looking for a .m2ts codec.

  • What causes javax.jms.JMSException: Can't publish message: Server running low on memory?

    I'm trying to debug a problem with an application running under
              Weblogic 5.11p11, Solaris 2.7. JMS has a JDBC backing store.
              The application runs fine unless we keep it under severe high load for
              a relatively long period of time (say a couple of hours) without
              giving it time to "breath". Then, we start getting these JMS
              exceptions: javax.jms.JMSException: Can't publish message: Server
              running low on memory
              I initially thought this was a GC problem: i thought the GC thread
              wasn't able to "catch up" because the server utilization was high.
              However, when i display Runtime.freeMemory() at the point where i get
              this JMSException, i can see that there is about 16MB (out of 64MB
              totalMemory) of allocatable memory. So it isn't really running out
              of memory!
              I'd appreciate any insights, pointers, etc., about this problem.
              Thank you in advance.

    JMS 5.1 prevents new messages if the server as at 75% utilization. I think (not sure)
              that this can be turned off if desired, but I would not recommend doing so, as this feature prevents
              JMS messages from "hogging" all of the memory.

    myFactory.setProperty(ConnectionConfiguration.imqAddressList,"myIp:myPort");
    myFactory.setProperty(ConnectionConfiguration.imqReconnectEnabled, "true");
    javax.jms.Connection myConnection = myFactory.createConnection("myUser", "myPwd");

    operation="Produce_Message"
    inputVariable="Invoke_1_Produce_Message_InputVariable"

    DestinationName="dattjndi"
    UseMessageListener="false"
    MessageSelector="Sender=AdaptationRequest"PayloadType="TextMessage"
    OpaqueSchema="false" >

    Where AdaptationRequest is the value for the Sender variable which will be used to filter the message. But this does not work. the messages are still not consumed. What could be the problem?

    did you check the message selector section on
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.3/techdocs/api/javax/jms/Message.html
    explains all the operators you can use and the correct syntax. Make a note of the case sensitivity.

  • Weblogic Unit Of Order on Javax.JMS

    Hi I want to use Weblogic Unit of Order on Javax.jms and not on Weblogic.jms, does anyone know how to do that.

    You need to use WLS JMS extension interface to programmatically set a Unit-of-order. In order for applications that use pure javax.jms interfaces to take the advantage of Unit-of-order feature, WLS allows administrators to enable unit-of-order via configuration. Once you enable Unit-of-order on a connection factory, all messages sent from one session will belong to the same unit-of-order either with a system-generated name or a user-generated name. In addition, you could enable unit-of-order on a per destination basis as well.
    For details, please refer to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm#i1040257.
