JAXB: using anonymous namespace (no prefix)

I am using a namespace for my JAXB serialized object, so that the first part looks like that:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<ns2:DataRecords xmlns:ns2="http://test.org/DataRecord/" StartProcessingTime="2010-05-20T12:34:37.123Z" ChargingDataVersion="1.0">
    <Item>
....As you can see JAXB uses the default Prefix "ns2" for assigning the DataRecords node to the namespace. Due to a special request I need
to use an anonymous namespace with no prefix, something like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<DataRecords xmlns="http://test.org/DataRecord/" StartProcessingTime="2010-05-20T12:34:37.123Z" ChargingDataVersion="1.0">
    <Item>
....If I got the XML specifications right this should do the job as well, as long as only one namespace is used. Using JAXB I only recognized the
possibility to change the prefix via a property of the marshaller and a custom prefix manager. But it seems impossible to abandon the prefix
completely (returning null or an empty string in the custom prefix manager falls back to the default name prefixes)
any idea?

This seems wrong to me. I've filed Bug 2400119 to get this looked into by development.
I'd expect any document with an appropriate qualified name to be found by your XPath expression, irrespective of whether syntactically one of the documents happened to use the default namespace syntax.

  • Format using default namespace prefix.

    Is there any way to format XML using default namespace prefix in an expression?
    My expression is as follows:
    oraext:get-content-as-string(bpws:getVariableData('JmsMdx_InputVariable','body'))

    This seems wrong to me. I've filed Bug 2400119 to get this looked into by development.

  • How are you using the Namespace Prefix?

    As the subject says...
    The top-level namespace prefix looks very useful for segregating projects into their own namespaces...is this what this is for, or does SAP have another recommended use for this prefix?
    The vendor name already makes the namespace unique to a corporate entity (if you use the domain name), so anything after that is really only of importance to the internal development environment...

    Even if your development isn't that big, using the 'name space prefix' would allow you to further segregate your codebase.
    This also becomes important when your domain name is rather long - 15 characters.  Take away four or so more for the namespace prefix, and you're left with 20 characters for the DC name.  Add in a few separators, and you're down to 12-15 characters.
    Obviously, readability can suffer when you start to abbreviate too much, so I'm looking for best practices when it comes to the namespace prefix.
    Thanks for your comment.

  • PI 7.4 - AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean - remove namespace and prefix

    Hi,
    In my receiver SOAP adapter I would like to remove the namespace and prefix. To do this I have configured the receiver SOAP adapter to include AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean:
    The message log shows "Anonimizer: successfully anonymized" but when I look at the message payload (after message mapping) it still contains the namespace and prefix. Is this because message monitoring does not show the payload after the Anonimizer has been processed? Is it only possible to see the Anonimized payload at the receiver party?
    Thanks
    Che

    Hi Che,
    Yes, you can only see the final result at the receiver's side.
    What you can do is temporarily use a receiver file adapter and write an XML on disk to verify.
    Kind regards,
    Dimitri

  • What are the benefits of using a namespace, such as 'flow'?

    In the past week I started to delved thru several blogs, livedocs and api articles on TLF, and noticed in some XML data to be used in TLF uses a namespace, such as 'flow'.  What benefits are there currently and/or in the near future of using them?  And is it advisably to have exisiting data to use a namespace?
    By the way, this framework gives me goosebumps.   Can't wait to start producing some work from it.

    The main reason to use a namespace is if you want to use some of your elements, and don't want to have to worry about name collisions. But you can make the tlf namespace (or any other) the default namespace, and then you don't have to use the flow: prefix everywhere.
    Glad you're looking forward to writing code on TLF! Let us know how it goes for you.
    Thanks,

  • XSLT Mapping: Namespace for prefix 'ns0' has not been declared

    Hello, I am working on a synchronous SOAP call and having some trouble with the response message. The web service has its own namespace and I am trying to convert this to my custom data type in PI. PI wants the message to be in format of having ns0 prefix and namespace like we have defined (http://foo for example).
    I have an XSLT mapping (see below) which works fine with my test response payload (pulled from SXMB_MONI source) on this online XSLT test site:
    http://www.freeformatter.com/xsl-transformer.html
    However when I import this archive to PI and test with operation mapping it always says "Namespace for prefix 'ns0' has not been declared."
    This is very confusing because when I test it online, I see both prefix and namespace declaration perfectly. Is there a way to see the results in the PI test tool? After this XSLT java error it doesn't give me the output even in Trace Level All mode.
    Please advise on this issue or if you know an easier way (such as altering my datatype/message type to match the inbound SOAP message). I tried working with the 3rd party WSDL but the response message types show a different root level node than what PI is receiving so I gave up to make my own matching datatype. I just have to solve this last inbound namespace issue and should be finished.
    FYI I have refreshed all PI caches and activated all objects.
    Thanks for your ideas!
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
    xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
    xmlns:ns0="http://foo"
      <xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" omit-xml-declaration="yes"/>
      <xsl:template match="@* | node()">
        <xsl:copy>
          <xsl:apply-templates select="@* | node()"/>
        </xsl:copy>
      </xsl:template>
      <xsl:template match="/*">
        <xsl:element name="ns0:{local-name()}">
          <xsl:apply-templates select="@* | node()" />
        </xsl:element>
      </xsl:template>
      <xsl:template match="/">
        <xsl:element name="{local-name()}">
          <xsl:apply-templates select="@* | node()" />
        </xsl:element>
      </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>

    Some additional info, here is an example payload which goes through the XSLT mapping perfectly, but in PI I get the error about missing ns0 declaration.
    XML input:
    <bar xmlns='http://irrelevantnamespace'
    xmlns:soap='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'
    xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'
    xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'>
    <foo/>
    </bar>
    XSLT mapped output using test tool and XSL above:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:bar xmlns:ns0="http://foo">
       <foo />
    </ns0:bar>

  • XML Payload does not have namespace and prefix.

    Hello
    I have created a consumer business service which will be called from JDEdwards EOne, pulls data from database and send it to Fusion Middleware.
    SO, I have created proxy using JAX-WS option. And suggested in oracle doc, I created proxy outside OMW and then copied it to my project. XML payload is getting generated without namespace and prefix. After some research, I modified package-info.java. Now, I am able to send the payload and if test it locally from Jdeveloper and take xml output using marshaller I can see it has namespace and prefix as well. BUt, when I run this from server it does not have namespace and prefix.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Naresh,
    The "rejectedMessage" property is for 10G, I am not 100% sure about its implementation in 11G.
    In 10G the faulted XML file moves to this location "Oracle_Home\bpel\domains\domain_name\jca\project_directory\rejectedMessages".
    This property is used to move the files which are not valid XML or which are not schema compliant. For DB polling I don't think this property is used.

  • Adding namespace as prefix to existing trasport object contents

    Hi there,
    I'm dealing with the following situation:
    I've written a program, so it's already finished. Now the Idea is, unfortunately this Idea came to my mind a little late, to generate and use a namespace for all the transport objects included in the transport package, since this program will be deployed on different customer systems and I want to avoid inconsistency regarding the Y- / Z-Objects.
    I've already reserved a namespace and added it via SE03 >> Administration: Display/Change Namespaces to my system.
    Now my question:
    Is there any function or possibility to set this new namespace as prefix for all already existing objects in my transport package, or has this to be done manually for every single object?
    Any help and/or ideas in this matter will be kindly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Marc

    Hi Matt,
    thanks for your reply. I guess you're right, too bad

    Just to clerify,
    The common complex types are StatusInfo, IdcProperty and IdcPropertyList. I ahve 3 more WSDL's with the exact same entires for those 3.

  • Delete namespace and prefix with Seeburger X.400 receiver

    Dear experts,
    I have a problem deleting a namespace and prefixes "ns0" from an XML output. When testing I was using an FTP receiver adapter with the AnonymizerBean which worked perfectly. I referred to: /people/stefan.grube/blog/2007/02/02/remove-namespace-prefix-or-change-xml-encoding-with-the-xmlanonymizerbean
    Now I have a Seeburger X.400 receiver adapter and the AnonymizerBean does not work anymore.
    The output message looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE xmlns:ns0="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" version="1.0">
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE_HEADER>
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE_INFO>
    <ns0:ORDER_ID>xxxxx</ns0:ORDER_ID>
    So I need to get rid of the namespace and the prefixes "ns0". Does anyone know how to configure the module of the X.400 receiver adapter to do this?
    Thank you very much for your help!

  • Using different namespaces in ALUI remote portlets

    I'm trying to incorporate AJAX technology into our ALUI remote portlets. I'm using Backbase tools to try to do this. However, these Backbase tools have their own namespace defined for their custom tags. When I try to access the remote portlet, I get 'unrecognized namespace prefix' errors in PTSpy. Is there something special I need to do to get ALUI to recognize different namespaces? I have the following line in my remote portlet:
    <pt:namespace pt:token="$PORTLET_ID$" xmlns:pt="http://www.plumtree.com/xmlschemas/ptui/" />
    Do I need to do something with this line to use different namespaces?

    I was able to get basic Backbase functionality running inside of ALUI. Since Backbase is booted from the onload method of the body tag, I had to create a Javascript method and call window.onLoad on that method to get Backbase to boot (it wouldn't recognize the onload method in my remote portlet).
    Also, since I'm using remote portlets, I had to gateway the calls to Backbase using the Remote Portlet's Web Service settings.
    In case anyone is interested, my remote portlet looks like this (where the server listening on port 7001 is the gateway server, and the server listening on port 7021 is the server running Backbase):
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8"%>
    <pt:namespace pt:token="$$PORTLET_ID$$" xmlns:pt="http://www.plumtree.com/xmlschemas/ptui/" />

  • XML DB: using default namespace gives different result

    In Oracle9i R2 I created an XMLTYPE table based on a XML schema. The schema uses a namespace. When I insert an instance document that has a namespace prefix for every element querying works fine. When I insert an instance document that has the namespace defined as the default namespace, the query returns an empty row for that document. It seems to me that before storing the document the namespaces must be expanded and hence there should be no difference between the two documents and the query should return a value for both rows. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Below is the script and the results of the queries.

    This seems wrong to me. I've filed Bug 2400119 to get this looked into by development.
    I'd expect any document with an appropriate qualified name to be found by your XPath expression, irrespective of whether syntactically one of the documents happened to use the default namespace syntax.

  • Weblogic.wsee.wsdl.WsdlException: Unable to find namespace for prefix 'tns'

    Hello,
    I am encoutering a problem on Oracle Weblogic Version: 10.3.1.0 when trying to deploy a jax-ws webservice (stateless session bean).
    When starting the ear i get the exception below. On an other version of Oracle Weblogic (10.3.3.0) the exact same ear deploys flawlessly.
    I have no choice but to run on the "older version" so i hope there is a way out for this.
    Any help is welcome.
    Thank you.

    It's probably time for a support case to see if this is a known issue.

  • How to use portlet:namespace in flex files?

    Hi,
    Iam developing a portlet whose UI is flex. using MXML and action script.
    Portlets require that their UI elements be unique to each portlet, so we use <portlet:namespace> for each ID, vars, functions etc..
    My question is how should i use this tag in my UI?
    Is this the right place to ask this question, if NO, the please direct me to the right forum.
    Thank you,

    application-param tag in weblogic-application.xml may be used to define parameters:
    webapp.encoding.default
    webapp.encoding.usevmdefault
    webapp.getrealpath.accept_context_path

    When we build an ear file , Weblogic-application.xml provides application-param
    tag?
    are they similar to env-entry in ejb-jar.xml.
    Can I use application-param tag to define a configurable params
    say myName and value as "Harshad"
    How do i read it in the application say a simple java class that is included
    in
    a jar inside the ear file.

  • How to use the namespace with a parser?

    I want to use the namespace in my project. For this reason, I use a sample
    from
    http://java.sun.com/xml/jaxp/dist/1.1/docs/tutorial/sax/7b_pe.html
    http://java.sun.com/xml/jaxp/dist/1.1/docs/tutorial/dom/5_ns.html
    to test my understanding.
    The slideshow2.dtd refer to the definition in 'xhtml.dtd'. Because in these
    two files, they all use the 'title' as the element names. To solve these
    conflicts, The namespace is used to qualified the one in slideshow2.dtd.
    But the parser still complain that the 'title' in slideshow2.dtd is declared
    more than once.
    I use apache's Xerces.
    I want to know if Xereces realy support namespace spec. now, or how to use
    the namespace with a parser. Can anyone kindly tell me where to find some
    material that demo the use of namespace in Java program.
    Thanks for any help!!!
