Jaxws async sample
howdy,
I'm in the process of installing and configuring wsdp 2.0 and I ran into the following issue when trying to build the async sample under jaxws.
ant server
produces
taskdef class com.sun.tools.ws.ant.Apt cannot be found
Has anyone run into this issue. My env ANT_HOME pts to the ant distribution included with wsdp 2.0.
patrick
thanks for responding. And I agree I should have posted under jaxws but wasn't sure if it was related to the wsdp-2.0 dist.
Same problem when building jax-wsa samples.
If I manualy add the lib and build again I get the same message as stated in my previous post.
BUILD FAILED
/opt/jwsdp-2.0/jaxwsa/samples/etc/common-targets.xml:71: /opt/jwsdp-2.0/jaxwsa/samples/fromwsdl/lib not found.
Total time: 0 seconds
Exit 1
$ANT_HOME/ant server
Buildfile: build.xml
BUILD FAILED
/opt/jwsdp-2.0/jaxwsa/samples/etc/common-targets.xml:71: taskdef class com.sun.tools.ws.ant.Apt cannot be found
Total time: 0 seconds
Exit 1
Sample wsdp-2.0 web page comes up fine on //localhost:8080 and the sample web services run fine.
configuration: linux, j2se 1.5, wsdp-2.0, tomcat 5.0 container
Looks like its pointing to a classpath issue but all looks well.
any ideas?

Apt UnsupportedClassVersionError
I have been trying to compile the samples that came with the jaxws-ri download but I keep getting the following error:
BUILD FAILED
C:\jaxws-ri\samples\annotations\build.xml:53: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/sun/tools/ws/ant/Apt (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)I am getting the error because I am using the wrong java version;
My JAVA_HOME is set to "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08" but when I type "java -version" to DOS it displays:
java version "1.5.0_11"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_11-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_11-b03, mixed mode)In C:\Program Files\Java I have the following installed:
j2re1.4.2_08
jdk1.5.0_09
jdk1.5.0_11
jre1.5.0_09
jre1.5.0_11
Why is this so? Do I have the wrong version of java?
What's going on?
I would be grateful for any replies, thank you.I don't have an environment variable called CLASSPATH but I have a one called PATH which contains "C:\Sun\AppServer".
Maybe I should put in the path to the JDK's in "C:\Program Files\Java\" into this variable?
Edit: do I need to upgrade the JDK I have in the C drive? (ie the one in "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08")
The "Apt" class the compiler is complaining about was supposed to be in the "tools.jar" folder which is located in the "lib" folder of "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08" (under "com/sun/tools/ws/ant") and also in the "lib" folders of the SDK's i have in "C:\Program Files\Java".
It wasn't there so I downloaded it and put it in there.
Is this Apt class supposed to be in "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08" or in the the SDK's i have in "C:\Program Files\Java"?

juddiGo to Application Properties-Deployment-Deployment Profiles (Edit). In the Edit EAR Deployment Profile Properties window, go to File Groups - Application Libraries - Contributors and deselect all the library that you can. After that, in the Edit EAR Deployment Profile Properties window, go to Library Dependencies and select all the libraries.
Then, go to Model - Project properties - Deployment-Deployment Profiles (Edit). In the Edit ADF Library JAR Deployment Profile Properties window, go to Connections and set the button to Connection Name Only.
Supose that you have created and correctly assigned the JDBC connection on/to the managed server.
OK.
Hope it will work!

How can I get rid of jaxws-engine threads after processing asyncHandler?
Hi,
this question evolved from forum thread
[t-5404241]
In the current JAX-WS 2.1 (from Netbeans 6.7.1) implementation I see the following behaviour / bug:
If you use the async Jax-WS API (AsyncHandler and Future) to send a SOAP request, there will be a thread named jaxws-engine-xx-thread and one unnamed
thread generated by Jax-WS. Both threads stay running for 60 seconds after the soap response is processed.
This leads to high memory consumption, if requests are made often.
Is there a way to stop these threads?
StefanIf it's asking for the original owner's credentials, you cannot "get rid" of it.

Hi Friends,<br>
I am in a problem, I have one jpd published as a webservice to a poral [synchronous] client. This jpd is asynchronous,meaning it have separate client request and client response node, but the same jpd is calling one more process control[async again] to do the dirty work of tranforming incoming request and then sending to legacy system using JMS control[async activity]. The question is, can we call the outer jpd [that is published as a web-service] synchronously from a portal page. I seen the weblogic docs they say to make sync-async wsdl file and define client callback method,I tried it but it doesn't work.<br>
I think my design fall in some limitation that the doc is talking about as in between pair of client request and client response node I have another client request to the process control [for transforming and sendng receiving message].<br>
<b>Is there anyother way to make it work?<br>
Did anyone got the same problem before?<br>
Guys, you need to help me in this pls
I already tried lots of permutation and combination to arrive at this design so pls don't ask me to change this now. :(<br>
Cheers,<br>
Shailesh <br>Just to let you know that I have gotten sync-async WSDL to work.
In my situation we front an async JPD with a JWS via this sync/async WSDL. We had to do this since we had a requirement that only allows soap over http AND sync/async WSDL needs soap over jms protocol.
Can you clarify when you say "it does not work"?
There is a test project out there somewhere in dev2dev codeshare or samples area that demonstrated this procedure. The first time I tried this approach I missed one step where I forgot to add the following line in mine process definition block:
* @jws:protocol jms-soap="true"
Hope this helps.

Problems with async callback with the BPEL Java API (Urgent- pls help)
Hi,
I have an async BPEL process and I invoke it form a JSP page using BPEL java API.
I have followed the tutorials and docs at:
$SOA_HOME/bpel\samples\tutorials\102.InvokingProcesses\rmi\com\otn\samples\async
I can inititiate successfully the process, but when I try to get the result using getResult() or getField(String fieldName) methods I get the error:

Any kind of help is appreciable.

Is it possible to create soap to file sync/async bridge
Hi All,
I am balakrishna, I have one requirement, at sender side we have ep system and at receiver side having http system. from ep side we are using soap req/res as sync communication. At reciver side we have to use the reciver file adapter as a dummy because receiver file adapter doesn't pick the file from the http links. so, again we have to use the sender file adapter to pick the files (text/excel) from the http links directly using wget os command. how can i implement this scenario using bpm.Hi,
You will find a sample BPM for sync/async bridge under
SAP BASIS --> http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns --> Integration Process --> BpmPatternSyncAsyncBridge.
Your requirement would be similar to this.

Async Sync Bridge without BPM (Proxy-Soap-Idoc)
Hi,
I have read some blogs how to do the Async Sync Bridge without BPM for JMS adapters. I have a requirement that I am getting a Async Proxy message to PI and then PI makes Sync Soap call then the result need to send through the Idoc adapter.
Proxy - Soap- Idoc
Here Proxy is a sender so no adapter required in the Config and also Soap is java based adapter and Idoc adapter is a ABAP based so I am not sure this is possible but I just wanted to check with you.
Please let know if this is possible or not?
PI 7.1 with EHP1
Thanks,
Laxman
Edited by: Laxman Molugu on Oct 14, 2010 2:15 PMThe mapping programm can be defined as a user defined function. As sample of mine is "getGoogle()", which is doing some kind of address validation. The input parameter URL[0] contains source address. For that you need to import:
org.apache.commons.logging.*;
org.w3c.dom.*;
javax.xml.parsers.*;
org.xml.sax.SAXException;
org.apache.commons.httpclient.*;
org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.*;
org.apache.commons.codec.*;
org.apache.log4j.*;
Example code for UDF "getGoogle()" is:
String sUrl = "http://maps.google.de/maps/api/geocode/xml?address=" + URL[0] + "&sensor=false";
HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
GetMethod method = new GetMethod(sUrl);
byte[] responseBody = null;
try {
// int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
// byte[] responseBody = method.getResponseBody();
// result.addValue(new String(responseBody));
String sResponse = "initial";
int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
responseBody = method.getResponseBody();
ByteArrayInputStream bis = new ByteArrayInputStream(responseBody);
DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
DocumentBuilder db = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
Document doc = db.parse(bis);
doc.getDocumentElement().normalize();
NodeList nodeLst = doc.getElementsByTagName("formatted_address");
Node formAdr = nodeLst.item(0);
NodeList nlFormAdr = formAdr.getChildNodes();
sResponse = ((Node) nlFormAdr.item(0)).getNodeValue();
// Deal with the response.
result.addValue(sResponse);
} catch (Exception e) {
result.addValue(e.toString() + "######## exhrenda - googleResponse:############### URL=" + sUrl+"###########"+new String(responseBody));
} finally {
// Release the connection.

Hi Experts,
I am doing async JDBC to sync webservice scenario.
I did create async interface for JDBC and sync interface for webservice.
my scenario is i just want to see the response from webservice in XI for trouble shoot, i dont need to send the response message to database.
can anyone tell me how can we do it without using BPM (async to sync bridge).
Kind Regards,
kiranHi
Please go through below steps now
I have added the comments with same in bold font
Data Types: JDBC_DT,File_DT
Message Types: JDBC_MT,File_MT
Message Interfaces:
JDBC_OUT_MI(outbound,async),This should be Sync given MT_File as respo
File_MI(inbound,async), Dont use this
WS_IN_MI(inbound,sync,input=WS_req,output=WS_resp)
WS_resp_MI(outbound,async,WS_resp), -----No need of this
Message Mappings:
JDBC_WS_req_MM
(JDBC_OUT(JDBC_MT)------->WS_IN_MI(WS_req) ).
*Here WS_IN_MM msg. mapping should be used insted of*
*WS_IN_MI i.e message interface*
*WS_File_Res_MM*
(WS_Res(Source -- Ws_res) ---> File_MT)
Interface Mapping: JDBC_WS_req_IM(source=JDBC_OUT_MI,target=WS_IN_MI)
In IM you need to use the above one only
Here you have two tabs as Request & Response, Request will be normal as
it is JDBC_MT to WS_Req with proper mapping
*In Response use File_MT <--- Ws_RES with appropriate mapping *
For ID configuration refer below sample scenario,
It is File1 to RFC to File2- Just in your scenario it is JDBC>WS--->File2
So refer and do necessary changes
From SP 19 on XI 3.0 and SP 10 on PI 7.0, a File - RFC - File ( Asynch - Synch ) scenario can be done without a BPM.
Steps:
Integration Repository
The Integration Repository will be similar to any Synchronous Scenario ( say HTTP - RFC ) . 1 Outbound Synch message Interface and 1 Inbound Synch Message Interface.
Integration Directory
This is where a few differences lie, so let me take some time.
1. The Receiver Determination , Interface Determination will be the same as in HTTP - RFC synch scenario. Create the Sender File Adapter, Receiver RFC Adapter and Receiver File Adapter.
2. Sender Agreement will be for the Sender File Adapter. Sender Agreement uses the Synch Outbound Message Interface.
3. Receiver Agreement will be for the Receiver RFC adapter. Receievr Agreement will use the RFC as thge Inbound Message Interface.
4. We need to add a few modules in the Sender File Adapter.
Go to the Modules Tab of the Sender File Adater, and add the following modules in the same sequence,
Number - ModuleName - Type - ModuleKey
code1- AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean - Local Enterprise Bean - 1
2- CallSapAdapter-Local Enterprise Bean - 2
3-AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean-3[/code]
Parameters
ModuleKey - ParameterName - ParameterValue
code1 - passThrough - true
3-receiverChannel - Receiver File Adapter Name
3-receiverService - Receiver Business Service/ System[/code]
With this configuration, you can now handle the requirement without a BPM
This feature been already blogged for JMS Adapters in these blogs ,
Sync/Async communication in JMS adapter without BPM (SP19)
/people/venkataramanan.parameswaran/blog/2007/01/18/syncasync-communication-in-jms-adapter-without-bpm-sp19
Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM (SP 19)
/people/sudheer.babu2/blog/2007/01/18/asyncsync-communication-using-jms-adapter-without-bpm-sp-19
Dynamic Configuration is also possible,and this as well as many other options are discussed in the How To guide - "How To Realize a sync-async and async-sync
bridge within the Adapter Framework" available on the Service Market Place.
For info on the Modules used here, look into these links,
Request Response Bean

Response Oneway Bean

Hope this info helps,

Hi,
I was reading about the synchronous and asynchronous process in the forum, I have also some similar problem.
some of my questions are:
If suppose my BPEL process is going to take around 2 mins or more to finish , then I cannot chose synchronous BPEL process as the default timeout is 45sec and not recomend to increase the time.
As the above is true, I have created a asynchronous BPEL process, now I want the reply back from asynchronous, is this is possible? even I found that when I invoke the partner link of asynchronous BPEL process it doesn't ask for the output variable. SO if any process going to take longer time and need response from that, whats the solution.
Regards,
SreejitHi James,
Thanks, yes you are correct that receive is required for the response from async process.
Do you have any idea how we can get the response back if we are calling the asyn process outside the SOA server, say from PL/SQL or Java API. PL/SQL can call the sync process and get the response back but in case of async process it returns null as the callback response of async not send the response to database. Is this possible with java api, any link or sample which illustrate this or any step suggestion. Actually I am trying to call the BPEL process from Oracle Apps R12 E-Business suite.

I tried both building/deployiny using ant and netbeans (after importing to NB).

Check AMConfig.properties for the following properties
com.sun.identity.agents.app.username
com.iplanet.am.service.password
|#]The problem is that the AMclient does not find its AMConfig.properties. In my install this file is at
/Applications/SUNWappserver/domains/domain1/config. Simply add this path to the server classpath and it will work.

Good practice for async databinding, regarding entity-framework.
I have some issue to find a good pattern to keep my UI responsive using asynch databinding and entity framework which is not thread-safe. It would be a shame if the UI came to totaly freeze with no feedback for a connection lost.
So, entity framework is not thread-safe. Which mean I won't be able to rely on lazy loading here and involve than if I do async databinding to a collection of object, each object will have to load their navigations properties with their own context to display
data. Ok, I can handle this. But what if I need more than displaying data and I want to modify a navigation property ?
I need when I set the navigation property in my viewmodel to attach an entity from the same context than the parent entity is from. So here I have one context for multiple thread. What do I do ? =(
Does anyone have some experience in it and can help me to clear this mess from my mind ? =D
All the sample I can find about async databinding don't go any further than make a Thread.Sleep before returning a string, it's not realy helpfull.There are reasons people post simple explanations.
One of those is because they post blog entries when they're learning something rather than when they are expert in it. The blog post is part of their learning process.
I sometimes share context.
What I do is put the context in Application.Current.Resources and then go get it from there when I need to re-use that particular one.
xxxDomainContext DBContext = new xxxDomainContext();
Application.Current.Resources.Add("DBContext", DBContext);
and using that:
context = (xxxxDomainContext)Application.Current.Resources["DBContext"];
You can alternatively share collections in a similar way. Depends on how many related tables you have, but reading a whole tree of static data is sometimes a good idea rather than just one table at a time.
One technique I use is to cache slowly changing data on the client and then go get changes since the last run off the server. For a fair few applications, yesterdays data is good enough for most data sets. It's just the odd one or two which you really
need up to date numbers or whatever.
You can see a collection shared in this sample ( but the sharing is for different reasons ) :
