JBO-26031 URGENT

we wrote a bc4j-jsp application. we deployed it on oc4js (shipped with jdev903), which runs on a windows server and on a linux server and everything works fine.
now we deployed it on a aix 4.3 (jdk 1.3.1, Maintenance level: 4330-09) and we got following error:
JBO-26031: Assocation end EmsBren of assoc ExeBstFkAssoc invalid for entity base EmsBrenExt in view object EmsExtView.
this exception occurs while inserting or updating a row.
we have checked the bc4js (the xml files), they seems to be correct.
there are also some strange things occuring while using oc4j on aix (compiler error after restarting oc4j), but the above exception is a large problem for us.
does anybody know, what4s wrong? is it possible, that the jdk is the problem?

Andre -- We do not recommend that you use OC4J extracted from a JDeveloper installation. It is not supported. You should use the standalone OC4J available from OTN. As for your JVM question, I am not familiar with AIX but you could look at the Oracle9iAS v903 installation guide for AIX (http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/903doc_otn/unix.903/install/toc.htm) and that should give you the information that you need. Lastly, if you are still having BC4J issues I would ask your question on the JDeveloper forum (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jsp?id=315684) BC4J is discussed under the JDeveloper forum.
Thanks -- Jeff

  • JBO-26031 Error encountered when attempting to create new row

    Hi
    We are experiencing an intermittent error whereby sometimes the call to
    View1Impl.createRow() fails with the following error message:
    JBO-26031 Association end Entity1 of assoc Entity1Entity2FkAssoc invalid for entity based Entity1 in view object View2.
    View1 is a generated view object based on a single entity whereas View2 joins the entity from View1 (Entity1 in the error message) with Entity2 and three other entities.
    View2 has previously been executed with a WHERE clause defined within the code. We have tried re-setting the parameters to null prior to the createRow() call but this does not seem to have fixed the problem.
    Has anybody any suggestions as to why this error would be thrown (and if possible why it does not happen every time we attempt to create a new row)?
    Thanks in advance for any help
    Lisa

    I have exactly the same problem when I deployed the ADF application to JBOSS.
    I am using jdev 10.1.3.3 ADF 10.1.3.41.57 and JBOSS 4.0.3 sp1 / JAVA 1.5.0
    The strange think is that when I am running the application from jdev (using the embedded OC4J) the problem dos not occur.
    Any suggestions?

  • LoginBean authenticateUser JBO-30003 - Urgent Please

    Hi guys - this is my first application developed from the start using JHeadstart 10.1.3.2 with JHeadstart security and it is not working after being deployed onto application server (10.1.3). Locally it runs fine. Then, to deploy to the application server I edit the configurations of my ApplicationModule and change the JDBC connection to that of the database the test application server uses.
    This has worked fine for a project converted to 10.1.3.2 but not using JHeadstart security with the nested JhsModelService.
    When I access the application on the test server, after entering my login credentials I am show the following error message

    I also had problems using the Test facilty on my application module but I solved that by adding the missing JSF library to my Model project as you had suggested in another thread. So it works fine locally - just not once deployed.

    Steven,
    Finally found the problem and it turned out to be my fault ! :(
    I removed all security from the application through the AppDef and regenerated (I noticed that the AuthenticationFilter entries were not removed from the web.xml so had to do that manually).
    I then redeployed the app and some more information appeared with the JBO error message - that of a JDK2ClassLoader, which made me realise my error. As I run JDeveloper on Vista I have my default JDK set to 1.6.0. Each time I build an application I then manually have to change the JDK library back to 1.5.0.
    As soon as I did that and redployed - it worked fine.
    Sorry to bother you and thanks for your time.
    Cheers,
    Brent

  • How to Avoid Infinite Validation Cycles (JBO-28200) = urgent.. , pls help

    Hi Guys,
    On my order entries application I have these attributes :
    ProdCode
    Qty
    WHCode
    Batch
    User only enters ProdCode and Qty, the application will then pick the warehouse and batch where the product and the quantity is available.
    So I put the logic inside validateEntity method and SETs the WHCode and Batch Attributes from within it. Here comes the problem, this cause ERROR :
    JBO-28200: Validation threshold limit reached. Invalid Entities still in cache
    Where else can I put this logic ? that executes only ONCE per entity ?
    (If I put the logic in the setProdCode and setQty methods, it will be called twice , isn't it ?)
    Thank you for your help,
    xtanto

    Hi all,
    I found another solution to implement validation. I changed the validation level from Transaction level to Entity Level.
    Still the question why I got the Validation Exception remains open.

  • Oracle.jbo.PersistenceException

    Hi,
    I am getting PersistenceException on AO when EO is modified.
    The scenario is like:
    1. Two Base table were altered to add new columns.
    2. To reflect these newly added columns, EOs were synchronized.
    3. The VOs based on this EOs were also modified to embed the newly added columns.
    4. No change was done on AO based on these two EOs.
    When I run the page whose VO uses this AO as read only and reference and try to create a new record it gives oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.PersistenceException: JBO-26031.

    Thanks & Regards,

    The issue got resolved. I am sure about the solution but seems like it had to do something with embedded oc4j server.
    After modifying the EOs and related VOs, the embedded OC4J server was not terminated due to which the modifications were not reflected (assumption).
    I did not make any changes to AO and now its working perfectly fine.
    Thanks,
    Mitiksha

  • JBO-25017:Error occurred while creating a new entity instance (URGENT)

    Hello, can anybody help me?
    We have a project that uses BC4J business components and UIX-based web tier. The entity object that causes this problem is based on Oracle table with 'ID' key field, the value is generated by means of 'before_ins' trigger that inserts appropriate sequence's next value.
    In the java EntityImpl-based class we redefine protected 'create' method of the base class:
    protected void create(AttributeList attributeList)
    super.create(attributeList);
    SequenceImpl idSeq = new SequenceImpl("SEQ_CATPARAMETERS", getDBTransaction());
    setId( idSeq.getSequenceNumber() );
    The fault is in the third line - setId(...) causes the exception.
    The only description of JBO-25017 I found is
    http://www.ffpmp.ru/doc/rt/oracle/jbo/CSMessageBundle.html#EXC_ENTITY_ROW_CREATE, this one don't throw any light on the problem.
    Oracle server version - 9.2.0.1
    Oracle JDeveloper version - 9.0.3.10.35,
    BC4J version - 9.0.3.10.7
    Any ideas?

    Roman,
    It looks like you're trying to assign the Id in two places.
    EITHER:
    Override the create method to assign an Id when a new entity instance is created....
    OR:
    Define a database trigger to insert the Id (and set the "refresh after insert" attribute to true).
    [Maybe the error is thrown because you're attempting to set a field which is set to refresh?]
    Does that make any sense?
    Mike

  • Urgent: oracle.jbo.domain.Number Bug (continued)

    Dear Shailesh(JDeveloper Team):
    To catch your attention, I posted the topic here again:
    [original topic]
    We are developing a BC4J application for our US customer. Our web server (iAS) and database (Oracle 8i) are installed on RS/6000, AIX 4.3.3
    When we try to set a Number type field value (Number is the only type in Oracle database to stand for a number, either a float field or sequence number). On AIX iAS, if the value is integer, larger than 100 and is not multiple of 100 ( such as 123, 112, 5676, 43435 ), the system(ont our jsp, web bean, but handled by low level classes) will automatically add two zeroes at the end of the number before insert to database table. For example:
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500.
    It is incorrect! On the other hand, when we try to retrieve value from a field which type is Number, if the value is a integer but larger than 100, and is not multiple of 100 ( such as 123, 112, 5676, 43435 ), the system will automatically add two zeroes at the end of the number after got from database table. For example:
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500
    We check the xml file of the BC4J, Number field type in the middle-tier is denoted as oracl.jbo.domain.Number, so we wrote a program (JSP) without accessing database, like this one:
    <%
    for (int i=0 ; i<1000; i++) {
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(i).toString() %></p>
    <%}%
    The program runs correctly in JDeveloper developing environment on NT workstation( in the developing environment, NT mimic a local virtual middle-tier):
    0
    1
    99
    100
    101
    598
    599
    600
    999
    But after we deployed the jsp to iAS on RS/6000 and browse it, the output result is very inconceivable:
    0
    1
    99
    100
    10100 (Should be 101)
    59800 (Should be 598)
    59900 (Should be 599)
    600
    99900 (Should be 999)
    We checked all through the deployed Jar files on iAS and the oracl.jbo.domain.Number class, we found that the class is extended from oracle.sql.NUMBER, and the toString method is also inherited from oracle.sql.NUMBER.
    We even test below simple jsp program using oracl.jbo.domain.Number type:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" autoFlush="true" import="java.lang.*,LocaMotion.*"%>
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Oracle JDeveloper">
    <TITLE>
    Hello World
    </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <%
    String strI="123";
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(strI)%></p>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    In JDeveloper developing environment, it prints 123 in browser, but when deployed to iAS, it prints 12300.
    Why the same Java class has different behavior under different OS (NT and RS/6000)? We think it is a bug on implementation of oracle.sql.NUMBER. We assume this is caused by the machine CPU register length: NT: 32 bits, RS/6000: 64 bits.
    This bug must be fixed to ensure the BC4J application workable. Would you please resolve this problem for us at your time?
    We are eager to waiting for your answer, as we are in FVT phase, our customer is BITCO enterprises inc. in Virginia.
    Thanks,
    [Answer from Shailesh(JDeveloper Team)]:
    I'd suspect this is an issue in oracle.sql.NUMBER implementation. Could you help us by verifying that oracle.sql.NUMBER.toString() also reproduces the same problem. A potential fix I could think of is to use the jdbc libraries that come with RS/6000-AIX version of the database.
    [Our test result]:
    We test the oracle.sql.NUMBER.toString() method, it also reproduces the same problem.
    What's the "jdbc libraries that come with RS/6000-AIX version of the database"?
    ,who offer it? IBM or Oracle. Where could I find it and how to use it? Will oracle.sql.NUMBER problem for AIX fixed?
    null

    As a follow up , could you tell the specific database version of Oracle8i you are using.(i.e 8.1.6 or 8.1.7/ also if you have applied any patches)
    . Just wondering if you had tried a simple JDBC program (without BC4J) (eg: a command line program) which uses oracle.sql.Number and produced the same erroneous results.
    appericiate if you could provide any additional information.
    thanks and best regards
    raghu

    When we try to set a Number type field value (Number is the only type in Oracle database to stand for a number, either a float field or sequence number). On AIX iAS, if the value is integer, larger than 100 and is not multiple of 100 ( such as 123, 112, 5676, 43435 ), the system(ont our jsp, web bean, but handled by low level classes) will automatically add two zeroes at the end of the number before insert to database table. For example:
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500.
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500
    We check the xml file of the BC4J, Number field type in the middle-tier is denoted as oracl.jbo.domain.Number, so we wrote a program (JSP) without accessing database, like this one:
    <%
    for (int i=0 ; i<1000; i++) {
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(i).toString() %></p>
    <%}%
    The program runs correctly in JDeveloper developing environment on NT workstation( in the developing environment, NT mimic a local virtual middle-tier):
    0
    1
    99
    100
    101
    598
    599
    600
    999
    But after we deployed the jsp to iAS on RS/6000 and browse it, the output result is very inconceivable:
    0
    1
    99
    100
    10100 (Should be 101)
    59800 (Should be 598)
    59900 (Should be 599)
    600
    99900 (Should be 999)
    We checked all through the deployed Jar files on iAS and the oracl.jbo.domain.Number class, we found that the class is extended from oracle.sql.NUMBER, and the toString method is also inherited from oracle.sql.NUMBER.
    We even test below simple jsp program using oracl.jbo.domain.Number type:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" autoFlush="true" import="java.lang.*,LocaMotion.*"%>
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Oracle JDeveloper">
    <TITLE>
    Hello World
    </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <%
    String strI="123";
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(strI)%></p>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    We test the oracle.sql.NUMBER.t oString() method, it also reproduces the same problem.
    What's the "jdbc libraries that come with RS/6000-AIX version of the database"?
    ,who offer it? IBM or Oracle. Where could I find it and how to use it? Will oracle.sql.NUMBER problem for AIX fixed?

    Hi
    we are trying to follow up internally on this. Did you file a bug with Oracle Support on this. ?
    If not I would suggest to do that, but at the same time we would be following up on that with the respecitive product group which works on that.
    thanks and best regards

    As a follow up , could you tell the specific database version of Oracle8i you are using.(i.e 8.1.6 or 8.1.7/ also if you have applied any patches)
    . Just wondering if you had tried a simple JDBC program (without BC4J) (eg: a command line program) which uses oracle.sql.Number and produced the same erroneous results.
    appericiate if you could provide any additional information.
    thanks and best regards
    raghu
    Larry's answer:
    Yes. We opened a Tar on http://metalink.oracle.com (Tar number is 1350841.999), but still no solution provided.
    Our software platform is AIX 4.3.3., Oracle 8i is 8.1.6, iAS is 1.0.
    Below program is a very simple Jsp that uses oracle.sql.NUMBER but no BC4J classed used.
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" autoFlush="true" import="java.lang.*,oracle.sql.*"%>
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Oracle JDeveloper">
    <TITLE>
    Hello World
    </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <%
    String strI="123";
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.sql.NUMBER(strI).stringValue()%></p>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    In JDeveloper developing environment (WINDOWS NT), it prints 123 in browser, but when deployed to iAS on AIX, it prints 12300.
    null

    thanks for the extra information. We have passed the information to specific product group and they are looking into it.
    As it looks like specific issue we can take this offline.
    can you send your email id [email protected]
    and we can let you know on the status.

    Ajit,
    Writing getter/setter methods manually is not a good idea, when jdev provides u that facility. Moreover in ur case i m getting a feeling as if ur VO mappings are corrupted. Can u try one thing ,assuming this is a custom VO,Delete the VO from the project and delete all related files in myclasses and my projects.Recreate the VO with all the attributes and try if same error is coming.

  • URGENT - JBO-33001 with servlet and Thread

    Hi!
    I'm working with BC4J, oracle AS10g, and Jdev 10g.
    I make a class that uses bc4j entity objects. It works all fine when I run this class as standalone or in a servlet, but when I run that in a thread called by a servlet, it return this error:
    oracle.jbo.JboException: Cannot find the configuration file mypackage1\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath.
         at oracle.jbo.client.Configuration.loadFromClassPath(Configuration.java:358)

    I've made a jar package with bc4j components, and it is present in the lib dir of the AS.
    Some ideas?
    Thanks

    Have the BC4J runtime libraries been installed in the Oracle application server?

  • Urgent - JBO-25030 Error

    Let me explain what I am trying to do.
    I have a dialog box where a new record is to be created. When I click insert button on the navigation bar I get the following error:
    JBO-25030: Failed to find or invalidate owning entity.
    The navigation bar is bound to the rowset and the textfieldControls are bound to the respective attributeInfo. The Entity objects and Entity view objects exist and the app Module works fine when tested. Could you please tell how I could resove this?

    Thanks for the response.
    (1) The table is linked to other tables in the database but I created an Entity object and an Entity view object for this table only.
    (2) I used schemaName.tableName for setting the same in the xml file for the entity object to make sure that the entity object is accessing the correct table.
    (3) In the createAttribute() method I used the following code for creating sequence number for the primary key:
    public void create(AttributeList attributeList)
    super.create(attributeList);
    SequenceImpl s = new SequenceImpl("SchemaName.SequenceName", getDBTransaction());
    Integer next = (Integer)s.getData();
    setId(new Number(next.intValue()));
    (4) I created a test form using the wizard and using the view object. It works fine.
    (5) I get the error message when I try to insert a new row.
    Thanks.

  • Throw JBO exception from doDML method-urgent HELP

    Hi,
    I am catching an exception on deleting a parent record without deleting a child record(FK constraint) in doDML delete operation method,when i am throwing a JBOexception with a custom message with in the catch block it is not refelecting in the front end,how can i display the FK contraint as a custom message in the front end?
    however i was able to throw a jbo exception in TP2 with in the doDml method,which was displaying to the front end.
    im using ADf TP3 11g
    -regards

    Hi,
    a similar question was posted last week. I replied saying that TP3 is supposed to work as TP2. If this isn't the case, please wait for TP4 to verify if the problem still exist and if, post another message with a reproducible testcase. TP4 will be out soon

    Hi All,
    In my code I am using a shuttle, In which leading list of shuttle is used to display the result of search and in trailing list i am displaying the available data for a particular organization. I have one save button for this screen . On shuttle whenever i perform any operation ( ie Move ,Move All, Remove,Remove All) , on click of save button the result of these operations will get saved in database.
    My problem is when I transefer some data from Leading list to Trailing list using Move for some specific data values the Move operation is successful where as in for some specific data values it errors out and gives me following error
