JCO$Exception when creating RFC model
Hi all,
I'm getting this fatal error when creating an RFC model in Web Dynpro for Java (connecting to a BW system):
com.sap.mw.JCO$Exception: Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx
I have absolutely no clue what's going wrong...
The RFC model gets created, but when running the application it doesn't work...
Any help appreciated!
Jeroen
Raj,
Thanks for your reply.
I had already solved the problem... After a long time I found out it was due to the language: when creating an RFC model one should use the language of SLD.
kind regards,
Jeroen

Regarding Nodes created when creating a model from RFC
Hi All
When we create a model from RFC suppose FlightBook RFC, then node is created one as FlightBook_Input, and one as FlightBook_Output.
Inside flightBook_input we have nodes and value attribute which we use to pass the data and also for output, but i still dont know what flightbook_output signifies and how we can use it
Thanks & Regards
Sandeep>>Inside flightBook_input we have nodes and value attribute which we use to pass >>the data and also for <b>output</b>
How is that? You should always use model class assigned to relation "output" to get RFC FM result. BTW, don`t forget to invalidate it. -
Error while obtaining JCO connection when creating JCO connection
Hey,
im having a problem when creating a JCO connection in the Web Dynpro Content Administrator. Creating the Modeldata (Application Data Data type) JCO Worked but when creating the JCO for the RFC Metadata (Dictionary Meta data) there is a problem:

Please configure your SLD. Your SLD holds the system definition. Define a SAP WebAS abap system and then try to create a Metadata connection using WebDynpro content administrator. Now you will be able to see the msg server defined in the dropdown. Also ensure that you have the message server entry in your services file.
Refer these links for SLD

Dynamic JCo Connection with Adaptive RFC Model 2
Hi gurus,
I'm trying to dinamically change a model data connector inside my web dynpro. I'm using an Adaptive RFC Model 2 to communicate with the R/3 backend. I've found that is possible to change the connector modifiyng the code inside the web dynpro. In detail I've found this example:
IWDDynamicRFCModel model1 = (IWDDynamicRFCModel) WDModelFactory.getModelInstance(Model1.class);
I put this code into wdDoInit method but I get the following error:
"<comp_name>.wdDoInit failed to create or init instance of model 'model_name' in scope NO_SCOPE with instanceId 'null'"
Furthermore I've used the deprecated Adaptive RFC Model and when I instantiate a model, ModelName m=new ModelName(), I see that the methods m.setJcoClient(client) and m.setSystemName(systemName) are visible, while when I try to do the same with Adaptive RFC Model 2, with my model m, the methods before there aren't.
So this is my question: is it possible to change data connector dinamically with Adaptive RFC Model 2?
Thanks a lotDear Lukinho,
You may try this ;
try {
IWDJCOClientConnection clientCon = WDSystemLandscape.getJCOClientConnection("<name of the JCO connection>");
String clientName = clientCon.getClientName();
String lang = clientCon.getLanguage();
String passowrd = clientCon.getPassword();
String sysID = clientCon.getSystemIdentifier();
String user = clientCon.getUser();
//etc...
} catch (WDSystemLandscapeException e1) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e1.printStackTrace();
I got this code from the thread [Multiple Client Logon in JCO |Re: Multiple Client Logon in JCO;
Also have a look at this thread
[JCo Destination |Re: JCo Destination;
Hope it helps!!

Exception with Adaptive RFC Model: WDDynamicRFCExecuteException
Hi All,
I have created an Adaptive RFC Model and called the RFC in my Coding the standard approach that used to work before. Now, I keep receiving the following exception when executing the modelObject.execute() Method.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException
Does anybody know what going on? I am calling an RFC that works well and has been able to be called as an RFC before...
Is this somemthing related to the framework? Do I need a supprt package or so? Am I doing soemthing wrong?
Thanks, JohannesHi,
Place a break point in the BAPI in SAP and try to execute the application and see if the break point is triggered and check what is the output value passed back to the application. If this works fine then there should be no issue in the RFC side, else need to find out what is happening in the webdynpro application side.

Error when creating data model - Internal Server Error
When trying to create a new Data Model in BI Publisher (11.1.1), we are getting a “Internal Server Error” message and the page to create data models wont display. We are able to login to BIP with any user, but we cant do anything else… (seems due to a null pointer exception, as shown in this message):

This same error repeats for files webcatalogsoaphandler.cpp and localwebcatalog.cpp.
Access to SOAP is explicity granted to BISystemUser (via Manage Privileges ) and we haven’t changed any security policies…
Any ideas why this is happening and how to solve it?

four logical JCo connections are used by the Self-Service applications:
· SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics
· SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
· SAP_R3_HumanResources
· SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
i have create a model in R3 and using the webdynpro RFC Model to connect it, it requires to established a JCO connection.
which 2 should i use to connect the Adaptive RFC Model ?
the default is :WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST WD_MODELDATA_DESTHi yzme,
You can use any of the JCO connection sets to create new Model.
If all of these JCO connection are configured in your Message Server
1> WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST
WD_MODELDATA_DEST
2> SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics
SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
3> SAP_R3_HumanResources

Getting problem when creating RFC Destination on XI system
hi,
I m trying to create RFC Destination on XI system using sm59 tcode. In technical setting tab at Target Host field, i gave SAP ECC server IP address. and in Logon Tab I gave Login parameters for SAP ECC server (Client 400, User : 05 & Password for user 05). Current user and Unencrypted Password fields are unchecked. also Logon Scree is also unchecked in Security Option.
Problem is, when i click on Remote logon tab, It shows me Logon screen with client 000, User : 04 (which is XI system's user name) and Password. so it doesn't take given login setting for ECC system and if i tried this thing more than 3 times, ECC server block my pwd.
Please suggest me the required solution
Thanks & Regards
RiteshHi ritesh
First check if the user exists in ths system. Check the password especially. Because the password space (Number of characters)in SM59 screen is more than password character in SU01 screen.Check the password.
Secondly, Check if you have given the proper client in the destination box of SM59.
Check for the unicode test also.
If possible change the user type as service user.
When everything is perfect am sure the rfc connection should be fine... -
