Regarding Nodes created when creating a model from RFC

Hi All
When we create a model from RFC suppose FlightBook RFC, then node is created one as FlightBook_Input, and one as FlightBook_Output.
Inside flightBook_input we have nodes and value attribute which we use to pass the data and also for output, but i still dont know what flightbook_output signifies and how we can use it

How is that? You should always use model class assigned to relation "output" to get RFC FM result. BTW, don`t forget to invalidate it.

Issue in creating a custom data model from BP

Hi Team
We have a requirement to create a custom data model by copying data model BP. I have successfully created new data model ZP . I have copied the UI for searching from BP. Issue is when i search a business partner ideally it should not display any entries because i have just created the data model, But it is taking entries from BP and getting displayed. Please let me know how to map data model to search UI. I dont see option USMD_MODEL here

actually that is not an issue but a designed feature. I'm afraid that you need to re-think your whole project. The explanations is rather simple:
Data model BP in MDG is a so called Re-Use Area data modell. This means that active data (records that are currently not stored in a change request) are saved in existing SAP ERP data base tables like BUT000 for the business partner master data and LFA1 or KNA1 for Vendor or Customer master data.
If you copy data model BP to ZP you still refer to the same active area. You will always find the same active objects - no matter which data model you are actually using for the user interface. The only difference wil occur for objects being currently processed in a change request. In that case a separation between BP and ZP is possible. But this won't help to solve your issue.
From SAP side I can only recommend not to copy BP but to find a different way of integrating your project needs into BP.

I heard that when we creating a table maintenance generator for a table, it will create view,search help and some else.Is it true?
Please tell me what objects will be created when we create table maintenance generator for a table and why? what is the exact use of creating table maintenance generator for a

Hello Rakesh,
TMG is a tool meant and designed to maintain Customizing table/views. Customizing essentially means, that the data should be transportable across clients/systems.
All this, and the facility to maintain data (display, edit, create, delete, translate) is provided by the TMG. When you make the changes like above, the TMG also provides you features to automatically also enter the changes into transport requests.
Coming to what objects are created when you generate a maintenance dialogue -
1) A Customizing Object (merely a class C/G table or view does not become a
                                    customizing object)
2) A function group (as entered in SE54 details, if the function group does not already
                              exist)
3) Lot of coding within the function group (Func modules, subroutines, includes)
4) Screen(s) (1 or 2, depending on a setting in the TMG)
5) An automatic recording of all these objects into a transport request, for you to conveniently ship them to other systems in your landscape (this, if automatic recording is
switched ON in your system)
Authorization group - It is not created automatically (unlike function group). You need to specify an existing Auth group, or use a different functionality to create on of your requirements.

User Home Directory not being created when "Create Home Now" button hit...

This is a cross post, since I was not sure where this should end up since it touches two pieces- Open Directory and User Management. Any help would be appreciated!
I am running OS X Server 10.5. All of my user accounts have been migrated over along with their home directories. Problem is that when creating new users and then assiging a home directory the system does not actually create the directory.
Currently all users are setup to have their home directory setup here:
afp://172.16.110.100/Users/'username'. The Users folder has been setup to automount, and all users that have folders can be accessed without issue.
The problem is when I create a new user, select the aft://172.16.110.100/Users option and then select "Create Home Now" button and save as it requests... it does not create the directories.
I have even tried to change the Home patch to make it local to see if it was an network issue, and used the /Users choice and it will not create the directory in that way either- both location go to the same place.
The system was obviously able to create the local admin account and directory admin account home folders without issue when the system was installed.
The permissions for the "Users" folder are as follow:
directory admin = Read and Write
local admin= Read and Write
system user (root)= Read and Write
admin group= Read Only
everyone group= Read Only
The system is in production, so any kind of server resets need to be done after 5pm, so I have not been able to reset AFP service.
Currently the only services running are AFP, SMB and Open Directory.
All users have their entire home directories located on the server, and login over Directory Access on their clients, so all user accounts are stored on the server. No one is having issues accessing their files or logging in.
I just can not create new home directories when I create new accounts.

You do not have to be logged on as the root user to do this. Launch the terminal and type-
sudo createhomedir -a
I run an XServe with Tiger server ( 10.4.11) and this has been the workaround I have been using.

I am using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA to create a material.
When Creating a brand new material, the BAPI will create multiple MBEWH records, which is causing to update Previous Period/Year Moving Average price to update in MBEW.
Any suggestion, why the BAPI would create historical data for MBEWH?

Where and when does requisition id gets created when creating from MSS?

My requirement is to have a custom logic on how to assign recruiters to a new requisition which is beeing created from MSS. Once i fill out the form and send the form i get a ref nr for process. What i need is the requisition id as i want to create those recruiters in table HRP5131.
So my question is: when and where is the requisition id beeing created?
Any help will be appreciated.

Check the following nodes
SPRO--> Integration with other my sap.com components --> Business packages / Functional packages --> MSS (my SAP ERP) --> recruitement --> Define attributes for request scenario
Select the recruiter logic type. You have an option to use custom logic also using a BADI. other than this there are 3 more options provided by standard sap.

Creating a multisim compatable model from DSN and .lib files

I'm attempting to model the texas instruments TX810 in multisim however the only model available is a PSPICE compatable model. This consists of a data source name (DSN) file, a .lib file (which when inspected in a text editor appears to be the most similar to a .cir file), a .olb and .opj files. There are also .sim files, .mrk and .prb file which I'm assuming are simulation parameters. I've attempted to model the .lib file by importing it into a custom component within multisim, unfortunately this method caused multiple netlist errors when I attempted simulation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

SIDs not created when creating hierarchy

Hello experts
I am having a problem with the creation of a hierarchy. The hierarchy is created manually in a z function module. After filling the appropriate parameters, we call the FM RSNDI_SHIE_STRUCTURE_UPDATE3.
The execution of the FM renders the following results :
1. The RSHIEDIR system table is correctly filled.
2. The hierarchies are correctly created under the characteristic in transaction RSA1.
Under the hierarchy tab of the characteristic :
3. The hierarchy table (H table) is filled.
4. The SID table for the hierarchy is empty.
5. The SID structure of the hierarchy is empty.
Moreover the execution does not output any error message or whatsoever at the end.
Following this, our BEX query is incorrect since it cannot find a valid hierarchy.
I have tried looking for other FMs but I'm confused as for their use.
Any suggestion or hint would be the most welcomed.

I think that it´s well worth a try adding the following entry (and at least initially keep your current entry) in BD52:
DEBI - KNA1 - KEY
I have checked both in 4.6B and 4.7 and the original settings in BD52 for DEBMAS were (among others) these two entries:
DEBI - KNA1 - KUNNR (as you already have)
DEBI - KNA1 - KEY
Both for ARTMAS and for CREMAS we have kept the KEY entries for the main tables (MARA/LFA1) in BD52.
If you do try this please advise if it made any difference or not.

Jobs not getting Scheduled when it is called from RFC

Hi Everyone,
I have Functional module in system1 which in turn creates a background Job, but when i call this Function module from System2 using RFC then the background job is not created. THought i debugged and the Function module on system1 is called successfully with right input parameters. M i missing anything ? Please advice

Thanks for the reply. Actually the main problem is not with how the Background job is getting executed. Actually my function module schedules are job in system1 , but if the same func module is called via RFC from other system, it gets called successfully with same inputs (checked in debugging), but the background job does not get created.

Difference and usage of Bapiname_Input and Bapiname_Output class from RFC

When we create a model from RFC adaptive model we will get 2 classes for every RFC as Bapiname_Input and Bapiname_Output. What is the difference between these two. Most of the time we only use Bapiname_Input class for calling rfc by setting the import parameters from webdynpro.when we apply template on component controller and model, it always creates a function
executeBapiname_Input() which does the calling of the rfc using model.execute.So what are the difference between Bapiname_input and Bapiname_output classes and in which case which is used.

BAPI_Input : has all the input parameters to the BAPI and also the table parameters.
BAPI_Output : has all the output parameters from the BAPI and also the table parameters. Table is a two way communication, so it is available both in Input and Output Nodes.
Usually we use BAPI_Input because all the import and table parameters are available in this node.
But, when we have to use the export parameters (like the error flags, message text etc) you will have to use the BAPI_Output.

Error in Adaptive WebService Model when creating instance of Node

I have created an Adaptive WebService Model which calls a WebService. This WebService has been generated in the CAF and represents an Application Service. One of the Methods of this Application Service returns a Complex Type which contains a list of BOs.
However, when creating an instance of the Request Node, I receive an exception. The coding is:

Request_GetAllJobApplications requestMO = new Request_GetAllJobApplications(model); <==
The exception is
com.sun.jdi.InvocationException occurred invoking
The exception is not shown on the screen, only in the debugger in the field where you can see the variables.
Does anybody know where thgis exception ma ycome from or where my mistake is?

How to show a jtable created when a tree node is selected in a jsplit pane

hello,
does anyone know how you would go about updating a jtable you have created in a split pane when the data of the jtable changes?
i have a jtree that creates a jtable when a node is selected. i want to display this jtable in a split pane that is created when the gui is launched.
any help appreciated. i know it has something to do with updating a table model but if anyone has any sample code of how to do this, could they post it?

Hi Laura,
When you make a selection on your JTree, what data are you send to the JTable? Is it an entirely new TableModel that gets set each time?
If you don't already have an implementation, consider using one JTable and simply swap the models in and out on JTree selection. It's probably best to contain the JTable in JScrollPane also. Perhaps not necessary, but calls to revalidate and repaint on the JTable after setting whatever data it is you set should update what is displayed.
