JCOM bridge and user context {principle}

I am using VB as a client, JCOM/JIntegra bridge and WLS 6.1 server. JCOM bridge
installed on the WLS maschine. I use late binding.
I have EJB component which returns to the client something based on the caller
principle. So, when I call InitialContext()from the Java/JSP client I put caller
identity object on the TLS. This caller identity object is passed to WLS and it
allows to know caller principle. This means that if I have multithreaded client
I have to call InitialContext in every thread. Well...
How can I get the same behaviour in the VB-JCOM-WLS architecture?
It seems that every call from VB JCOM execute in the different thread without
calling InitialCotext(). Thefore different VB clients get not correct data (based
on the wrong principle)
How can I overcome it ? Please help

  • SNMP IN Admin and User Context

    Hi Guys,
    I have a issue in ACE context , while discovering the each context separately . I have 4 user context and one admin context in HA  mode , when i tried to discover the contexts independently , with the interface vlan ip configured  in my NMS tool ( HP NNMI )  . It shows error message as duplicate device is discovered and it  delete the existing other  context that it  discovered already in  the same box  .i tried lot of option and i held up on it .
    When the admin context is discovered , i tried to generate the trap and check by shut the physical interface . But still i am awaiting for the trap to   hit my tool . In user context , snmp traps works fine for rserver , serverfarm , interface vlan . configuration is same in both user and admin context . Required MIBS uploaded   in NMS .
    Regards ., Gopinath Vedagiri

    Hi Gopinath,
    Glad you got this resolved and it happens to be the NMS tracking MAC address of interface.
    Here is the information about ACE mac-address aloocation:
    By default, the bank of MAC addresses that the ACE uses is randomly selected at boot time. However, if you configure two ACE appliances in the same Layer 2 network and they are using shared VLANs, the ACEs may select the same address bank, which results in the use of the same MAC addresses.
    This design will work fine when there is only a single ACE on a shared VLAN, adding a redundant ACE could lead to communication problems due to duplicate MAC addresses being use. This will happen if more than one ACE on the shared VLAN randomly selects the same Host ID when they boot up. This will cause them to use the same bank of MAC addresses for their shared VLAN interfaces.
    For example, If both ACE appliances booted up and selected Host ID 4, then they would both use the same bank of MAC addresses.
    To avoid this conflict, you must configure the bank that the ACEs will use.
    To configure a specific bank of MAC addresses for an ACE, use the shared-vlan-hostid command in configuration mode in the Admin context. The syntax for this command is as follows:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/ace_appliances/vA1_7_/configuration/routing_bridging/guide/vlansif.html#wp1053891
    About VLANs and its mac-addresses, in most scenarios, using the same burned-in MAC address for multiple non-shared VLAN interfaces on the ACE does not present a problem.  However, the ACE can be configured to use one
    of the MAC addresses from the selected bank for the physical interfaces.
    This is accomplished with the mac-address autogenerate interface configuration command.
    For example:
    I have this in my ACE:
    vlan112 is up, administratively up
      Hardware type is VLAN
      MAC address is 00:23:8b:03:72:4c
    Then, I applied the command "mac-address autogenerate":
    interface vlan 112
      ip address 10.198.16.90 255.255.255.192
      peer ip address 10.198.16.91 255.255.255.192
      mac-address autogenerate -------------------------> Here
      access-group input Allow
      service-policy input NSS_MGMT
      no shutdown
    This is the result:
    vlan112 is up, administratively up
      Hardware type is VLAN
      MAC address is 00:12:43:dc:77:00

  • User context and roll area

    hello
    plz help me
    what is roll area and user context?????
    reply
    thaknx
    aafaq husain

    Hi,
    <b> Roll Area</b>
    This parameter is used to specify the total size of the roll area, in bytes.
    <b>Activities</b>
    The roll area is not important with 64 bit platforms where sufficient extended memory is available. The default value is platform-specific and is determined dynamically. The default value is specified in transaction RZ11. This value should not normally be changed.
    <b>User Contexts</b>
    The memory management system assigns memory to user contexts from the following areas: roll area, SAP extended memory, and heap memory.
    The order of assignment from these memory areas arranges itself according to whether the user context runs in an SAP dialog work process or in another SAP work process. This enables the SAP system to optimally use the characteristics of the individual memory types.
    When allocating memory, the following characteristics for individual memory types become noticeable.

    I am wondering if it is possible to configure one ACE context to support both routed and bridge interface?
    I would like to have a bridge-mode context but in the same time I would like to have a separated OOB interface for management.
    If it is possible how they could interact to each other?
    Thank you in advance for any answer

    Hello
    We've just tried to configure bridged and routed interfaces at the same time in the lab and we've had a problem.
    When we added the def gw for the bridged config we noticed that we had an issue with the traffic src by the rservers in the routed config.
    When we deleted the new def gw, the problem disappeared.
    I am attaching the lab config.
    When we added to it the following line
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.163
    reals B1-B10 could not communicate to the outside world.
    Do you know why it does not worked and what could we do to fix it ?
    Thank you in advance.

  • App-V 5 and scripts in user context

    Hello,
    I'm trying to figure out how scripting works in App-V 5, and I'm having an issue with it.
    I've read
    Scripting and Embedded Scripting for AppV 5.0 (Dynamic Deployment and User Configuration Scripting) and
    About Scripts in App-V 5.0, but still have a question about scripting in version 5.
    Via the UserConfig.xml I start a StartVirtualEnvironment and a StartProcess, just to test the behavior:
    <UserScripts>
    <StartVirtualEnvironment  RunInVirtualEnvironment="false">
      <Path>cmd.exe</Path>
      <Arguments>/c "\\servername\content$\batchtest_StartVirtualEnvironment.cmd"</Arguments>
      <Wait RollbackOnError="false"/>
    </StartVirtualEnvironment> <StartProcess RunInVirtualEnvironment="false">
    <Path>cmd.exe</Path>
    <Arguments>/c "\\servername\content$\batchtest_StartProcess.cmd"</Arguments>
    <Wait RollbackOnError="false"/>
    <ApplicationId>[{AppVPackageRoot}]\7zFM.exe</ApplicationId>
    </StartProcess>
    </UserScripts>
    This is one of the batch scripts that is triggered using the UserConfig.xml-file:
    REM batchtest_StartVirtualEnvironment
    echo username: %username% > c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo hostname: %computername% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo userdomain: %userdomain% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo ALLUSERSPROFILE: %ALLUSERSPROFILE% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo USERPROFILE: %USERPROFILE% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo APPDATA: %APPDATA% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    echo LOCALAPPDATA: %LOCALAPPDATA% >> c:\temp\AppV5ScriptTest.txt
    After starting the app on the client, this is the output of both batch scripts:
    username: MachineName$
    hostname: MachineName
    userdomain: DomainName
    ALLUSERSPROFILE: C:\ProgramData
    USERPROFILE: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile
    APPDATA: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming
    LOCALAPPDATA: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local
    Only %userdomain% and %hostname% are correct. It seams that all other things are running in SYSTEM context? For example %AppData% isn't pointing to C:\USERS\ ..
    I'm I doing something wrong here?
    (I'm on Windows 7 x64 SP1 as client with App-V 5.0 RTM, sequencing machine is a Win7x86 SP1)

    We experience the following:
    When creating a App-V 5.0 package for a network application we receive the following error

    Create a shortcut on the desktop to
    \\server\share\application.exe
    Set 3 HKLM keys in the registery under HKLM/Software/Vendor/Application
    Save the package.
    Results
    When starting the package we receive the following error message:
    Toepassingspop-up: Ats.exe - Toepassingsfout : Kan de toepassing niet correct starten (0xc0000142). Klik op OK om de toepassing te sluiten.
    Also the following notification is presented in the App-V/Admin event logs:
    The virtual application '\\FQDN\SHARE$\PROGRAM.exe' could not be started because the App-V Subsystem 'Virtual Shell' could not be initialized. {error: 0x8DC02325-0x5}
    Seems like the same issue...

  • Outb() and ddi_put8()  functions from user context

    dear all,
    the man pages for both outb() and ddi_put8() say:
    "These functions may be called from user or interrupt context"
    Question: If I want to call them from user context: which library do
    I have to link with my executable ?
    cheers,
    julien

    Hello.
    I think "user context" does not mean calling from an executable file.
    "User context" means that the functions can be called when the driver is called from a system call (e.g. ioctl) in contrast to interrupt service routines which are called by the OS.
    Sparc machines do not allow something like iopl() in Linux while x86 would allow that when writing a special driver for that.

  • Configuring roles and users (adf security) application context wise.

    Dear All,
    I referred this tutorial (http://biemond.blogspot.com/2008/12/using-database-tables-as-authentication.html) which shows how to hook up adf security with database schema but at domain level which will be common to all applications in that domain. I want to make it different to each application. (i.e each application will use differene database schema for storing user credientials i.e enterprise roles,application roles and users.)
    Can any one please point me to proper way..

    Dear Frank,
    <i>
    Instead you have a single identity management system and have the application policies being different for the applications.Using ADF Security, users and groups can have different privileges in different applications
    </i>
    suppose i have 3 applications that use adf security, the users will be common to all applications. right..?Roles and group can be different for applications.
    application polices means roles and group..?
    So how it(application polices) can be made different for applications? is it inbuilt or some configurations needed ?. Can you point me to some blogs or tutorials for more reference.
    Bet: Incase i hook up adf security with database schema.

  • Using Adobe Bridge and iPhoto together

    I use Adobe Bridge (and Photoshop) to work on my photos. iPhoto is not an option since I shoot in Camera RAW. I also own an Apple TV and want to store all of my photos in iPhoto so they are available to the rest of my family via Apple TV. Has anyone figured out a way to do image manipulation first in Bridge & Photoshop and then have them sent (or later updated) in iPhoto in an automated fashion?
    Conceptually, every time I add or change a photo in Bridge or Photoshop, I'd like to convert it to JPG, and add or modify the image in iPhoto.

    Also make sure PS's File handing preferences "Macimize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" is set to Always and that there are no alpha channels in the file. An alpha channel will cause the black image that you're referring to.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How to get Portal User Context  in Web Dynpro application

    I have successfully integrate a web dynpro app into SAP Netweaver Portal.
    Within my web dynpro app, how can I get portal user context information such as first name, last name, job title or some newly created ume attibutes.
    Is there any programmatical approach to get portal user context in my web dynpro. I not sure whether I can use the following codes in web dynpro?
    IUserContext userContext = request.getUser();
    String firstName = userContext.getFirstName();
    String lastName = userContext.getLastName();
    If yes, can someone point me the name of the jar file I have to import.
    Note : The SAP Netweaver installation that runs my web dynpro app is same with the SAP Portal.

    Hi ,
    you can use the below code to get User details and  add com.sap.security_2.0.0 > lib > com.sap.security.api.jar
    try
              IWDClientUser clientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
    String firstName = clientUser.getFirstName();

  • How to get the SharePoint user context available in custom federated search connector?

    Hi,
    I'm investigating the possibilities for developing a federated search connector for SharePoint 2013 Online. This should allow us to search a customer's database through our custom developed application (both on premise). We intend to develop
    an remote federated search connector (using OpenSearch protocol) and configure a result source in SharePoint for that connector.
    The problem I'm struggling with is that I want different search results from this ressult source based on the permissions of the user that is executing the search. The admin should find a lot because he has permissions on certain items in the custom
    application. The employee should find just a few because he has no permissions on certain items in the custom application. We developed the custom application ourselveds and the search in that application is taking permissions into account: it doesn't
    return results if a user doesn't have sufficient permissions. That part works just fine.
    However, to be able to use that, the remote federated search connector must be able to identify the user that is executing the search in SharePoint Online. So: how do I get the SharePoint user context in the remote federated search connector?
    I know I can configure the replacement token {User.Name} in the result source configuration, but that gives me the name of the user only. This is insufficient to get an identity, principal, token or whatever, that let's me log in into our custom
    application.
    I also know that in a provider hosted app, user context is passed through from SharePoint and is known within the remote app. But since result sources need fixed (or anonymous) credentials configuration for connecting to the remote federated search connector,
    all users will be using the same credentials. This makes me assume these credentials are for securing communication and cannot be used within the execution of the search within the remote federated search connector.
    At the moment, I'm stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Ruud.

    Hi,
    Per my knowledge, we cannot get the SharePoint user context available in custom federated search connector with other methods.

  • Can i recover my all active directory domain computers and users from IFM and in-cooperate them in new forest ??

    My only Active Directory Server on win server 2008 R2 with one domain controller crashed today. The only backup that i had was IFM media.
    So what i have done till now to recover it is a follow
    I reintalled window server but this time it is winserver 2012. I added AD DS role to it. Promoted it to Domain Controller. (functionality level is 2008 R2)
    On second server i installed win 2008 R2 and trying to add additional domain controller from IFM to recover all of my domain users,computers and GPO's. but i am getting this error
    Could not replicate the directory partition CN=schema, CN= configuration, DC=XXX, DC=com from the remote domain
    the naming context specified for this replication operation is invalid
    i dont know weather my approach is correct or not
    but my simple questions is
    Can i recover my all domain computers and users from IFM and in-cooperate them in new forest ?? if yes how can i do that?? urgent help required.

    yup exactly i created a new domain(in new forest) with same previous name in window server 2012 on SERVER-1. As ifm file that i had was generated from 2008 r2 so on second server i installed window 2008 r2 and tried to add role of additional domain controller
    from ifm file on SERVER-2 using dcpromo /adv . every step went ok but in last step when it starts replicating domain controllers it poup following error
    Could not replicate the directory partition CN=schema, CN= configuration, DC=XYZ, DC=com. .  .
    and roll backs every thing.

  • Using Search Help with ALV and Dynamic context node

    The topic subject already describes my situation.
    I have to create, populate and remove context nodes at runtime, and bind them to an ALV, to let user display the data or modify the data. The nodes I create are always typed with a table name, but the table name is of course, dynamic.
    This is all working: what's not working is help for entries inside the ALV; since the table has foreign keys and domains with check tables or fixed values, I expected that search helps were detected and managed by the framework.
    Instead, no help search is displayed except the input help based on data-type of the one "Date" input fields.
    I think I have to work on the dynamic node creation, and not on the ALV itself, since the latter only takes the node/attributes information, but i could be wrong. I tried with both the two following codings:
      CALL METHOD lo_nd_info_root->add_new_child_node
        EXPORTING
          static_element_type          = vs_tabname
          name                         = 'SAMPLE_NODE_NAME'
    *    is_mandatory                 = abap_false
    *    is_mandatory_selection       = abap_false
         is_multiple                  = abap_true
         is_multiple_selection        = abap_false
    *    is_singleton                 = abap_false
          is_initialize_lead_selection = abap_false
          is_static                    = abap_false
        RECEIVING
          child_node_info              = lo_nd_info_data .
    cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>create_nodeinfo_from_struct(
          parent_info = lo_nd_info_root
          node_name = 'SAMPLE_NODE_NAME'
          structure_name = vs_tabname
          is_multiple = abap_true ).
    The result is the same...is there any way to let the ALV know what search helps it has to use, and doesn't force me to manually build a VALUE_SET to be bound on the single attributes? There are many tables, with many fields, and maintaining this solution would be very costly.

    I have checked with method GET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUEHELP_TYPE of interface IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO, on an attribute which i know to have a search help (Foreign key of a check table).
    The method returns 'N', that is the constant IF_WD_VALUE_HELP_HANDLER~CO_VH_TYPE_NO_HELP. So, the framework was not able to find a suitable search help.
    Using method GET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_HELP of the same interface, on the same attribute, returns me '111', which is constant C_VALUE_HELP_MODE-AUTOMATIC.
    Therefore, the WD framework knows it has to automatically detect a value help, but fails to find one.
    Also, this means in my opinion that the ALV and the dynamic external mapping are not the culprits: since node creation, no help is detected for any attribute but the date. Honestly, I don't have a clue on what's happening.

I have to force quit Bridge to get out of it. I tried to uninstall Bridge and re-install it but it did the same thing. Any ideas where to go next?
    The fact that I uninstalled Bridge and reloaded it has me concerned as to what to do next.?

    You need to force quit all other (real or fake) instances of the Application Manager.  Instructions differ between Mac or Win.
    A lot more information about your hardware and software is needed.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
    If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
    such as your platform (Mac or Win),
    exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CC", but something like CC2014.v.2.2) and of Bridge,
    your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
    the type of file you were working on,
    machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
    what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
    if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
    if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,

  • JPG images not displayed correctly in Bridge and Photoshop (Mac OS)

    (Note: I have copied the content of this query from the Creative Suites forum where I originally opened it.)
    I am using CS4 under OSX 10.4.11 on a PowerMac G5 Quad with 23" Apple cinema display. Images which have been captured as JPG are displayed fine by Preview, but when opened in Bridge, Camera Raw or Photoshop. the colours are all "washed out". The attached screen capture should give an idea of the difference, with the upper being Camera Raw (image settings) and the lower being Preview. My monitor has been calibrated and I'm using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour space in Camera Raw and Photoshop. The colours displayed by Preview are pretty close to "real life". I find it virtually impossible to adjust the colours in Photoshop to get back to anything similar.
    After opening the image in Photoshop without adjustment, and Save As JPEG with embedded color profile, Preview displays the new image the same as Photoshop. Save As JPEG without embedded color profile, and Preview displays this copy just like the original. It seems that Photoshop is making different (incorrect) assumptions about what color space to use when there is no embedded color profile. Shouldn't it assume sRGB like virtually everything else (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRGB)? Or is its interpretation of sRGB incorrect? How can I fix this?

    …If there is someone out there who has experience of obtaining decent colour management in CS4 on a Power PC, I would really like to know how you achieved it.
    That would be yours truly, and I hasten to reply because I may have some insights that can help you too.
    Just get it it out of the way, here's my setup:
    Photoshop 11.0.2 ("CS4"); VersionCue disabled and uninstalled.—2.5 GHz Power Mac (PPC) G5-Quad; 16GB RAM; mutant, flashed 550MHz nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 1,700MHz 512MB VRAM; ATTO ExpressPCI UL5D LP SCSI card; Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and Leopard 10.5.8 boot drives; Spotblight, Dashboard and Time Machine permanently disabled; dual 22" CRT monitors; USB wireless 'n' available but connected to the Internet via wired Ethernet; 1 FW flatbed scanner; 2 SCSI scanners (one tabloid-size transparency scanner and a film scanner); various internal & external HDs; FW Epson 2200 and Ethernet Samsung ML-2850ND printers; 2 X Back-UPS RS 1500 XS units.
    I can unambiguously and in good faith represent to you that my color management, from capture to print, is as spot-on as anyone with any kind of setup can hope to achieve.  Unequivocally and without qualifications.
    Now, first things first:  Forget about trying to synchronize color management across the point applications lumped together only by Adobe marketing fiat into a variety of meaningless "creative suites".  Concentrate on Photoshop.  Do not try to use Bridge to synchronize anything.
    The "suites" are a totally artificial construct created by Adobe bean counters and marketing types.  The point applications (i.e. the individual programs clumsily bundled together, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) are developed independently by separate engineering teams that are not only not in the same building, but in different cities, different states of the American Union, and even in different countries.  They have very little communication among them, if any, as evidenced by repeated posts in these forums by Photoshop engineering staff urging us, the end users, to let the other teams know in their own forums that a given problem exists and is actually affecting our work.
    Enough said about the cause of the problem.  The end result is that Color Management is at very, very different levels of progress and sophistication in each individual point application, with only Photoshop fully entitled to be considered state of the art.
    Secondly, a disclaimer:  I have been hanging on to my CRT monitors and take care of them as Jascha Heifetz used to take care of his Stradivarius.  I don't know what I will do if I manage to outlive the usefulness and accuracy of my CRTs (unlikely at this point).  I have despaired in futile efforts to bring the luminosity of any LCD monitor down to where I would feel comfortable calibrating and profiling it.  I believe my monitors are the foundation of my color management efforts.
    Especially if you have one of the extreme wide-gamut LCD or LED monitors, you'll face an uphill battle.
    Be careful to avoid any version 4 icc profiles, whether canned or generated by your calibration software.  Stick to version2 icc profiles.  Ask the manufacturer of your calibration software/hardware if in doubt.
    Here are some not-too-recent, but thoroughly representative screen shots of the calibration results I obtain with my monitors, which I calibrate and profile often and regularly (I validate the calibration at least several times per month).
    In a nutshell, my color management practices and settings mirror those described by Bruce Fraser, Jeff Schewe, Andrew Rodney and Gary Ballard's site.  I have learned from all of them.
    My working color space is ProPhoto RGB.  I choose to work with PSD and PSB files.  As a long-time, rabid JPEG hater, I only rarely deal with JPEGs, using them sporadically to illustrate a point in this forum or elsewhere in the web.  My main output consists of prints.
    I only deal with tagged image files (files with an embedded color profile) and often recommend beating up with a baseball bat any moron that hands you an untagged file—figuratively of course, but I find the expression gets my point across unambiguously.
    Following is a screen shot of some of my pertinent settings:
    Note that I have never bought into the "suite" concept myself.  I do have and routinely use Adobe Illustrator 10.x, InDesign 2.x and Acrobat Professional 8.x, but they are all older, independent versions of each point application, licensed at different times.
    Be further advised, that the answer to many problems offered by Adobe engineers often is not to install VersionCue, or uninstall it, or at least disable it.
    Also, as outlined at the beginning of this post, concentrate on Photoshop, not on synchronizing applications that can't really communicate with each other, despite the claims of Adobe marketing hacks to the contrary.
    One big caveat, do not fall into this trap:

    You either want to learn, or you don't.  You either want to solve your problems, or you don't.
    When you start arguing instead of studying, questioning advice instead of following it and detecting where you went wrong, you're on the right track to nowhere.  That attitude will get you there fast.  Remember you are the one with the problem, and only you can acquire the discipline to learn how to solve it.
    Go ahead and ask me anything that is not clear, just don't argue with me please, and don't tell me why you think Fraser, Rodney, Ballard and I are wrong.  You see, I am not experiencing any problem that needs fixing.  I have an interest in helping you, but not in hearing about your speculations, theories or conclusions.
    Good luck.
