Jdb in java 1.3.1 not listing source file...

Hi,
I'm trying to use the remote debugging option Xdebug for my server. If I attach using jdb -attach, I'm not able to list my source file using list command. It says Source file not found. I tried various means, -Denv.class.path, etc. nothing works. the use command is always showing "." I'm able to attach put breakpoints, stop the server code etc. please help.

it finally worked if I start the jdb from the ROOT dir. Then it takes the class path for the sources. But still, changing the "sourcepath" inside jdb is of no help.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

  • Xcode not saving source files

    Hi
Has anyone else come across an issue where Xcode doesn't save source files before a build - despite setting the For Unsaved Files preference correctly?
My Java students are using Xcode 3.1.1 to create and build Java Tool projects. We've noticed that we can't modify the default source file for a newly created project, nor can we modify any new source files we add to the project UNLESS we close down and restart Xcode after adding each new file. Specifically, any edits are stored in the file buffers but these are not automatically saved to the hard disc when we trigger a build. However, once Xcode is closed and restarted, all source files in the project behave normally.
Interestingly, the problem doesn't seem to happen with Tool type projects in other languages, however, these projects by default put the source files in the top level of the project folder, whereas all Java projects put the source files one level down in a "src" sub-folder.
Has anyone else noticed these issues with Java projects? Do similar problems occur in other languages if source files are stored in sub-folders? Remember, the problem only exists for newly created files and it's resolved once Xcode is shut down and restarted - unless, of course, we need to add more files.
Anyone got any workarounds which avoid stopping and restarting Xcode?
    Bob
PS: Please don't post comments saying that I should use Eclipse, Netbeans, BlueJ, etc That's not relevant to this discussion.

Thanks briyu. At least you've confirmed that I'm not going mad
As for 3.1.0, that's what the student machines are using and we have the problem there. I wonder why no one else has reported this before? Probably Xcode isn't used very much for Java.

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when compile SQLJ source file

Always got error message java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/io/CharToByteConverter
when using sqlj to compile SQLJ source file.
    The CLASSPATH (partial) .:$ORACLE_HOME/sqlj/lib/translator.zip:$ORACLE_HOME/sqlj/lib/runtime.zip
I am able to compile the demo TestInstallCreateTable.java and TestInstallJDBC.java but not TestInstallSQLJ.sqlj in the same directory.
I am using Oracle 8.1.6 R2 client in Linux Intel on Red Hat 6.0. Can anyone explain why this happened ?

From the forthcoming new version of the SQLJ FAQ:
    "NoClassDefFoundError: sun/io/CharToByteConverter"
(This is likely a general configuration issue, not something specific to your code.)
Running sqlj results in the following error message.
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/io/CharToByteConverter
    at sqlj.tools.Sqlj.initializeErrors(Sqlj.java:519)
This happens if you are running under a JRE environment, and not a full JDK environment. You need to download and install a full JDK environment. Note that the Oracle
database installation will only set up a Java Runtime Environment. Oracle does not distribute the Java Development Kit - you have to get it from http://java.sun.com
If that did not help, you'd need to give us a fuller picture of your environmnet (JDK versions, PATH, CLASSPATH settings, etc.).
    Thanks!

  • Can not set source file for Fireworks png in Dreamweaver

I recently purchased Adobe Design Premium CS5 to replace my CS3, but I have a big
problem.  When I export a png in Fireworks to Dreamweaver it does not set the source
file correctly.  It places the Fireworks object on the page, but when I select the table
that holds the Fireworks object, the path for the source on the Properties panel is
wrong - it says menu2.png.  The correct document relative path is dress_images/menu2/menu2.png.
When I drag the Point to File icon over the menu2.png on the Files panel, it correctly displays
the full path, but when I let go of it, it sets the path back to menu2.png.  I can not even type it
in the source box and get it to stay.
Here is the problem.  When I click on the Edit button, it says it can't find the png.  It is using
the full path from the C: drive instead of the document relative path.  If I browse to the png file
and open it in Dreamweaver then click the Done button, it saves the png file but does not change
any of the content on the HTML page.
Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS3 worked perfectly here.  Help!
I just tried to do this on another computer.  This time when I pasted the Fireworks HTML onto the
page in Dreamweaver it set the path correctly (it was a root relative path instead of a document
relative path).  I tried to edit in Fireworks using the Edit button, and it opened Fireworks without
any problem.  I made some changes then clicked the Done button.  Now the Done button is suppose
to be like magic.  It is suppose to save the changes to the png file, make the changes on the HTML
page in Dreamweaver, and change any of the supporting files (images) that have been edited.  It
always worked this way in CS3, and anything less than this would be a huge step backwards.  In this
case, it saved the changes to the png, but did not make any other changes.  The web page in
Dreamweaver is still the same.  How do I get the Done button to work its magic using CS5.
Another problem - when I paste the code onto the page, the page looks totally messed up.  If I save it
and reopen it then it looks fine.  However, this never occurred with CS3.  Aren't updates to software
    suppose to be improvements?
    Thanks.
    Nathan

Yes, the web site is correctly defined in Dreamweaver.  I teach web design for both high school and
adult school, and I have done this procedure 100's of times with CS3.  There is something different with
CS5.  I took your suggestion and imported the Fireworks HTML using Insert -> Image -> Fireworks HTML,
but it still does not work.  I can edit it in Fireworks, hit the Done button, and the png file is saved but
the HTML page remains the same.
Also, the export does not get the path right, and it will not let me set the path right.  The only way the path
is right is if the page that I am pasting the Fireworks HTML is in the same folder as the png.  It always
sets the png's path as menu.png.  Therefore, if the page is in a different folder, the document relative path
won't find it.  This was never a problem with CS3.  In fact, you could paste the code using Control-V and it
would work 100% of the time.  That is how we always did it.  When exporting from Fireworks, I would set
Export to "copy to clipboard" then move to Dreamweaver, click where I wanted the code pasted and do Control-V and presto it would
always work.  You could come back a month later, select the table, click the Edit button, make changes
in Fireworks, click the Done button and the changes would be reflected on the HTML page in Dreamweaver without
doing anything more.  I have tried it with "copy to clipboard" and I have tried it with "export HTML file".  Neither
works.  There is definitely something different between CS3 and CS5, and right now I am missing CS3.
Thanks for your help.  I will keep fighting this until I get it, but any additional input would be appreciated.

  • Adobe Acrobat X - Saved Background Settings does not retain Source File

    Hello,
I am using Adobe Acrobat X on windows 7.
I have a pdf file that I use as a background source file.  When I select the Settings profile from the Saved Settings drop down it does not load in the Source File.  It still has "From Color" selected and <No Source File Selected> is in the path location.
No matter how many times I add the file and click the save settings button it will not retain it
I've already tried both a 'repair' and 'reinstall' of the software.
Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

    Hi Adam Baranek,
I am looking into this issue and will get back to you soon.

  • New computer ff install not listing all file types under tools-options-applications

New windows installation on another with the same version of ff (10.0.2). Clicking local .pls files in this machine gives option to launch VLC media player but on other computer just text appears.
The extension appears in the applications tab after clicking tools and options on this computer, but the list is far shorter on the other machine and does not include this extension. Is this rectified by installing a plugin? If so which one?

The issue isn't that VLC isn't playing the files- it is... but linking to the files saved on my system does not launch VLC from Firefox on the other computer like it does on this one. I've actually been able to add to the applications list. Technically I can run the same apps and associations on both machines except that Firefox isn't handling the ".pls" files at all with the other machine
I've saved a directory structure with .pls files to different streaming radio stations and the directory is linked to from Firefox on both computers... identical directories and files stored. When I bring up one of the folders in this machine and click on the file, I first get the same dialog as you attached- I launch VLC by selecting "Open with" then clicking OK. The radio station plays. I've set it to change stations when I click within the iframe without having to go to VLC and use the open media feature- it does the trick with a single click from Firefox,
The other machine when I click the file the iframe in which the directory was displayed shows text information (urls and other arcane digital nonsense) as though the file were a text file. Both machines have similar installations.... I do not want to overload on the other machine- it's my communications backup but I would like this arrangement to work as it does on this computer.
Again, the biggest hint I see is the absence of the ".pls" file type in the list under the "applications" tab after clicking "Tools"-"Options" in Firefox on the machine in question.
Can something be done either by transplanting missing files from one machine to the next or from about:config to induce the desirable result from the other machine in Firefox?

  • Multimedia player not listing mp3 files

    O wise ones,
I installed the latest pc suite. The Nokia Multimedia Player does not show any .mp3 files. Under 'view/options/formats' many formats are listed but not .mp3.
How to get .mp3 in that list?
    Thanks in advance!

I have reached a very painstaking solution to my problem. I have gone track by track to Audacity and opened these tracks in Audacity. Thereafter I copy and paste into a fresh Audacity file and export as mp3. I dont know how exactly the resulting mp3 file is different from the original, but the new file is picked up by iTunes.
For a tousand tracks I can see a lifetime of misery doing this.
If I go to "get info" by right clicking the original and remake file in Finder, I can see almost identical properties. But in a crucial section "more info" within that get-info dialog box, i can see a lot more fairly ordinary information in the new file, but for the original file, it is strangely compressed and little is visible. So in terms of properties that have changed, I am still blind.
I wish there were a way to batch process all 100 old files that wont get included in iTunes into the new format, after of course knowing what exactly is the change that has happened.

  • Version 10 "File Open" command does not list older file versions

When using the "file open" command in Illustrator 10, I noticed that the file list that appears in the window does not show older versions of illustrator files even though the File Type drop down box indicates "All formats". If I go to the file directory through Windows and then double-click the old version file (say Illustrator version8), the file automatically opens in Illustrator 10 without any problems.
Is there a setting in Illustrator 10 that allows all files to show up in the "File Open" command?

While I don't doubt you're experiencing this problem, I am at a loss as to how it can happen.
Short of parsing every file in a folder, Illustrator cannot possibly "know" the versions. I could be wrong, but the only criterion for appearing in the file | open dialog is the file extension -- that is, when you select 'All Formats,' Illustrator shows all files that can be opened on the basis of file extension (.ai, .eps, .pdf, etc.).
I tried playing around with the Read-Only and Hidden file attributes, but that made no difference. If you have things set up to show Hidden files in Explorer, they'll show up in AI 10's File | Open dialog.
    This is baffling.

  • Backup controlfile to trace does not list all files

The shop I am currently at had implemented scripted, hot backups for their Oracle 8.1.7.4 databases on Win 2000 servers. The scripts work fine and I have even used some of the backups for recovery and for cloning a database.
I was recently asked to clone another of the production databases. To clone the database I would need the output from the "backup controlfile to trace". However, when looking at the data files, I found there was one missing! It happens to be a second file associated with the TOOLS tablespace.
My question is: why doesn't the "backup controlfile to trace" show that datafile?

Might be, someone add the mentioned file, aftre you trace your controlfile, do it now and see, weathe it's there or not. Also, query 'select name from v$datafile' and compare the result with trace file.

  • IDVD not understanding source file size.

I'm trying to make a DVD with several different movies. They have all been encoded the same way, but have different lengths. The shorter clips are under 15 minutes, but the longer clip is over and hour long. I re-encoded the longer clip to bring down the file size and it is currently just 600 MB. iDVD sees it as over 4GB. Am I doing something wrong, or is iDVD messing up?

iDvd doesn't look at file size but rather duration / QT Playback. The most you can get onto a SL DVD-R is 2 hours or 120 mins. And about twice that for DL media.
How long is the combined length of all your movies? Hopefully the combined length isn't over 120 minutes (assuing you plan to use single layer Verbatim or Maxell Dvd-R). If your movies exceed 2 hours then you may wish to use Dual Layer instead of Single Layer Dvd's (assuming your mac will write to this newer media).
Hope this info helps but if not just come on back.

  • Analyzer does not see source files

    Hi,
I am currently evaluating the use of "collect" and "analyzer" in our environment, which is RHEL4 on x64with gcc4.21.
    - I compiled everything with -g
    - the shared libraries do contain source file paths (checked with strings *.so)
    - I am using "collect -o tt.er myprogram"
    - I am running "analyzer tt.er" afterwards.
Analyzer does display some sensible times and the symbols. But when I drill down, it will only display assembly code for all of my routines. The selected object summary always displays the symbol name, the .so file name, etc, but "Source file: (unknown)". The analyzer version is "Sun Analyzer 7.6 Linux_i386 2007/05/03"
    Where is the mistake?
    Thanks!

  • Listing Related Files in the Related Files Bar

I've been enjoying the new ability in CS4 to see the source code and related files in the file bar, but am puzzled by an inconsistency. The related files are not always listed in the bar.
My sites are fairly small and simple. The related files are usually limited to javascript and css.  In some sites the related files are listed in the file bar along with the source code "button", and in other sites only the "button" appears. The behavior is consistent across the site. All related files are linked in the head area, in the same way, and all the links are good--the pages work like they are supposed to. The related files are usually at the same level as the source code. I haven't been able to find a setting in the program that would turn the listing on or off, or a reference in a discussion thread. I've tried recreating the site cache, and redefining the site. Neither changed the behavior.
Does anyone know why related files are not always listed?

    I figured it out.
There were no significant differences in the related file references, and no conditional comments. Poking around, trying all sorts of things, I noticed that the related files could be listed from the View menu, which meant Dreamweaver knew about them. But they could not be accessed by clicking on the listing--Dreamweaver complained of an invalid path, starting at the C: drive level. At one point it locked up.
All of the sites that could not list related files had local folders with a # sign in a high-level folder name (an obviously poor idea picked up from work!). Those folders were used in the local site definition. Once that # sign was removed, and the cache recreated, the related files showed up.
Thanks very much for the tip on the includes. I'm just beginning to work with them, and will be careful to set them up properly.
And thanks very much for helping me think the problem through. It was getting pretty frustrating!

  • ITunes U lists fewer files than total mentioned

Hello, I have been using iTunes U courses  but there is a big problem that most courses do not list total files in the course on iTunes.   For example one particular course mentioned  150 files at the end,  but only 14 files are listed.   Also, there was a link in the old ITune to click a single button to download all files and it is no more there.    Please help

    That was the fix, indeed!
Also, the Public Site Manager... really awesome job on the design and ease of use. Congrats!
For anyone wondering, here are some things to know about migrating:
Have a backup of your Section/Category artwork, you can't pull these off your existing iTunes U store, and the PSM doesn't import them.
PSM automatically populates your categories based on tags within a collection feed itself. All mine reported as "iTunesU" so I manually tagged and made category pages for now.
The publishing process can take quite a while, but you can do previews of everything as you work. Once I published, it took several hours, but subsequent changes have only been minutes.
Good luck to anyone migrating, I'd be happy to answer any questions.
