JDBC adapter and message split

Hello, does anybody know how I can make a split of a document created by the JDBC adapter and that should look like
<resultset>
  <row>
     <column-name1>column-value</ column-name1>
     <column-name2>column-value</ column-name2>
     <column-name3>column-value</ column-name3>
  </row>
  <row>
     <column-name1>column-value</ column-name1>
     <column-name2>column-value</ column-name2>
     <column-name3>column-value</ column-name3>
  </row>
</resultset>
into several's independent documents of type:
  <row>
     <column-name1>column-value</ column-name1>
     <column-name2>column-value</ column-name2>
     <column-name3>column-value</ column-name3>
  </row>
May I create the messages in the dispatcher?
Thank you
Ernesto Duran

Hello, isn't it possible to create an inbound abap Proxy in XI that wait for the message then this inbound proxy loops into the message and call and outbound proxy for each entry(row).
The outbound proxy is working well for me but I'm having problems routing the message back to XI... I get the problem "SAP:Code p1="No inbound interface found for sender" But when I route the message to a business systems everything is ok.????
Anyway what I want to do is:
jdbc adapter --> XI --> inbound proxy --> XI --> outbound proxy --> XI --> Idoc adapter --> R3
And the steps inbound proxy --> XI --> outbound proxy --> XI are used only to split the message.
The reason why I try to use this approach is that I don't understand how I can split a message in java or XSLT maybe someone know???
Thank you

    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi,
    When you are doing Message mapping after adding the Messaget types for source and target messages. You can click on the "" button in the target message and add one more tab. You can go to Message tab as shown in the 5th image and click "" button to add one more message type. Then do the mapping as usual.
    <b>Based on the value of the element(name), the node of input(details)should be directed to one of the two message types</b>
    Here in this blog it is done based on the Name.
    You need to use IFTHENELSE boolean function and do the mapping.
    Thanks,

  • Multi mapping and message splitting in BPM

    Hi ,
    I am working with this scenario ...
    /people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure
    how many message interfaces i have to create .
    one outbound , one abstract  and two inbound .. is it correct.

    Hi
    Minimum you need to create three message interfaces i.e. Bpm_In_MI_Abstract,  aBpm_Out_MI_Abstract Bpm_Out1_MI_Abstract, because abstract interfaces can be use inbound and outbound as well.
    You can also use create implement it by using inbound and outbound message interfaces. In that case you have to use three additional interfaces(1 outbound and 2 inbound).

    manian

    Hi manian,
    I was having a look to Illustration of Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM in SAP Exchange Infrastructure blog.
    The functions are not the same. I mean, yours and blogs functions.
    Each function has two parameters, Name and node. Furtheremore, in the blogs' functions is using arrays and you don't.
    So, the right code will be
    1.selectnodeifA
    for(int i=0;i<=node.length();i++)
    if(Name<i>.equals("A"))
    result.addValue(Node<i>);
    However, if you don't need an advance user defined function as you want to process just one element of the node's queue, you will not need to use for sentence.
    Something like:
    1.selectnodeifA
    // for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
    if(Name.equals("A"))
    result.addValue(Node);
    Hope it is usefull for you.

  • Sender JDBC Adapter and Synchronous Interfaces

    Hello
    I have a Oracle/JDBC -> XI -> ECC/RFC scenario. The communication mode is Synchronous.
    In the Oracle database I have a table with a "STATUS" field.  When JDBC Adapter Sends the rows from this table to the Integration Engine, it updates the "STATUS" from "G" (GENERATED) to "R" (READ).
    The response from the RFC contains for each row sent to RFC a "STATUS_from_RFC" field, that I would like to use to update Oracle STATUS field to "S" (SUCCESS) or "E" (ERROR).
    Can the Sender JDBC Adapter use the response from the Synchronous RFC to update Oracle "STATUS" field itself ?
    Or do I need a Receiver JDBC Adapter? In this case, I have to use asynchronous communication and BPM, ok ?
    thanks
    Julio

    Bhavesh,
    <i>>>>But, the online help states it supports QOS of BE and so it does support Synchronous Processing.</i>
    Even File adapter has QOS of BE
    To my understanding response back is possible only if it is PUSH + Sync
    Adapters PUSH + Sync
    HTTP
    SOAP
    RFC
    XI
    etc...
    For the above response is possible
    Adapter PULL + Sync
    File
    JDBC
    etc..
    In general there can be a response if there is a request. In the case of File and JDBC there is no request message coming to the adapter, its the adapter which is actually requesting.
    This is just an idea and my understanding.. might not be true If possible do try it and let everyone know I will also give it a try when time permits
    Thanks,
    Prakash

  • XI 2.0, JDBC-Adapter and Oracle

    Hello together,
    at the moment I'm working on a scenario, at this I have to write data in a CLOB-Field of a table in a Oracle 9i database. My problem now is, that I only can write a string with a maximum length of 3000 chars directly in the database. To process longer strings I always write a stored procedure to handle this.
    Does anybody know a direct solution.
    Thank you,
    Oli

    Hi!!!
    The database allows direct data insertion of up to 4K of data to a CLOB/BLOB column.
    If you want to insert more data into CLOB field in the pure SQL (not in a stored procedure), then you have to do this in two steps:
    1. insert a new row into the table.
    2. update CLOB field of this just inserted row.
    You can specified these two SQL statements by using one of the XML document formats (for outbound JDBC adapter).

  • HTTP Adapter and Message confirm

    Hi Experts,
    I don't understand an aspect of communication with SAP PI.
    I have a External System that comunicates with SAP ECC via SAP PI HTTP Adapter.
    When SAP ECC sends an MATMAS message to External System like payload of HTTP message, How Does External System confirm MATMAS is recived?
    In R/3 System there are methods to commit, roll back transaction, there's a similar mechanism with HTTP Adapter?
    thanks.
    Marco Genova

    hi,
    >>How Does External System confirm MATMAS is recived?
    it does not - http adapter does no support acknowledgments
    the only way would be to receive a message back from http to PI
    with some status info and for example on the basis of that
    change the status of the outbound matmas idoc to - received successfully
    but there is no confirmation with HTTP adapter that the message was received

  • Dynamic Mail Adapter using message split

    Hi,
    My requirement is like this:
    one flat file will come
    Sample Structure:
    Email_address   Custom_ID        Status             Comments
    Many records will be there in that
    Sample data:
    som @ xi.   1234       approved        blablabla
    ram @ por   1236       approved        blablabla
    par @ mdm  1237      approved       blablabla
    vin @ gp      12348     rejected        blablabla
    Pi needs to pick the 1st record and construct an email with following information:
    email address: som@xi
    Likewise every record needs to be sent as email, and club the records in one mail if the mail address is same.
    How to go by!
    I have read the Micheals Blog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/07/mail-adapter-xi--how-to-implement-dynamic-mail-address
    And gone through the SAP note and downloaded the XSD.
    The XSD is may works only for one record, also occurance in XSD is (1,1).
    if Any other approach Please suggest me.

    I also tried that it is saying
    " Cannot load schema with the target namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30 to namespace http://blabla.com/IMG/INF2199"

  • Messages are in hold state due to one message at receiver JDBC adapter

    Hello,
    I am using a receiver JDBC adapter and trying to send an XML file which has an insert query to insert some data into the database i.e., Oracle 9i.
    Here at the receiver side due to one message (  which is in to be delivered state) all other messages are got hold and waiting for long time.
    I am getting the exceptions as this,
    JDBC Adapter processing failed with Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'FSASMGR.XTBL_KL06_IINQUIRY' (structure 'REC01'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "FSASMGR"."XTBL_KL06_IINQUIRY"."CASE_TITLE" (actual: 81, maximum: 80)
    Exception caught when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'FSASMGR.XTBL_KL01_ISTAFF_MST' (structure 'REC1'):
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (FSASMGR.XTBL_KL01_ISTAFF_MST) violated
    Can anyone help me out in solving this issue.
    THanks,
    Soorya

    hi surya,
    jdbc channel tries a request for n number of times(no of rettries),if that request fails it will take up the following requests,its not like it will process a request forever.
    to be delivered will be resulting if reciever is down or network between XI and database server is bad.
    try to ping databse server from XI host system.
    if everything is fine then look at the channel configuration->advanced->no of retries of database transaction on sql server.
    just redue the count to 1 and recheck.

  • JCBC Adapter and File adapter not processing messages

    Hi
    I noticed that messages are being delivered to Adapter engine and the same are visible in Runtime Workbench with status "to be delivered". But, JDBC Adapter and File Adapter not processing these messages.
    Any idea where I can find the problem?
    I was able to re-deliver successfully via the JDBC Adapter using the MessagingSystem GUI using XISUPER user.
    Regards
    Chandu

    Hi,
    1.Status: TO_BE_DELIVERED
    Which means that the message was successfully delivered from Integration Server point of view and it states that the messages is initially handed over to the Messaging System.
    TO_BE_DELIVERED occurs while the message is put into the Messaging System receive queue.

  • Reg: How to Stop Polling of JDBC Adapter without Scheduling the adapter

    Dear Gurus,
    Here I am having one requirement. My clients wants to send data from JDBC adapter (ORcale System table) to R3 system via RFC.
    His Requirement::
    1. He is not telling the time of data flow from Oracle server so that based on that we can schedule the adapter in the Communication Channel monitoring (Availablitiy Time Planning) or Else we can Schedule by deciding the setting of the polling interval time.
    2. He is telling that When ever he waants to send the data he will place one dummy file in the File Adapter FTP location so that it will became an Indication for u to poll the jdbc adapter and to transfer the data to R3.
    3. Untill he keeps the file or gives indication he doesn;t want to communicate with Oracle server due to some security and it s a most important data base he doesn't want to disturb that Oracle Server as so many business are running  on that.....
    We Proposed::
    1. Atleast you need to tell the scheduling time or poll interval time so that we can schedule our adapter.
    but he s not accepting for this
    2. Atleast U need to give access for Data base to enter one more extra field like STATUS CODE so that we will add one number and we keep on Update in the Update table and based on that Update table statement it will poll.
    but he s not even accepting for this
    3. Finally we prposed that to create another table in the Oracle SYstem as Dulplicate Table which is similar to Standard Orginal table when ever he wants to pick the data please keep that data in this Duplicate TABle so that JDBC adapter will pick the data from thsi TABLE instead of picking the data from that standard table so that it will not effect any standard table data in the table.
    but he s not even accepting for this
    We have done some R & D:::
    1. WE approached even through BPM and via switch conditions is one scenario
       FILE RECEIVE >SWITCH CONDITION> RECEIVE AND SEND or else EXIT
    2. Using correlation in anotehr scenario means correlating File adapter and JDBC and based on one dynamica value it will goes to SEND STEP ( RECE IVE --> RECEIVE --> SEND STEPS )
    Even though we know this...concept that...we jsut tried::
    In BPM we can control the flow in XI 3.0 but we cannot Stop the Polling of JDBC adapter at backend because one the data comes from FILE adapter it will keep on HOLD untill it receives the JDBC from Oracle then based on the condition or Correlation it will goes futher SEND step means after that file adapter is picking file or not ...what ever it may be JDBC will polls at backend and brings that data to BPM"
    Hence sugest me How to Stop Polling of JDBC Adapter without Scheduling the adapter or else using STATUS CODE Update statements in JDBC Tables
    Regards:
    Amar Srinivas Eli

    Hi! All,
    Finally I decided to do the scenario in two steps:
    1: FILE REQ --> JDBC REQ -->JDBC RES --> FILE RECV
    2: FILE RECV --> RFC
    But I am getting issue while doing first scenario
    Desgn :
    I have created 2 Synchronous interfaces :
    1) FILE 2 JDBC REQ
    In this a) out put message is FILE  Req
              b) Input msage:; FILE RES
    2} JDBC2FILE RECV
            a) Output mesage;; JDBC REQ
            b) Input Msge :: JDBC Response
    Mappings:
    1) File REQ-->JDBC REQ
    2) JDBC RES-->FILE RES
    Interface mappings:
    1: FILE 2 JDBC REQ--> JDBC 2 FLE RECV
    CONFIGURATION ::
    1: One Seder File CC
    2: Two reciever CC's one is for JDBC RECEIVER and other s FILE RECEIVER
    3; One Sender Agreement
    4: 2 Recver agreements
    5: One Interface Determination and
    6: One RECCV Determination
    My Question;;
    1. First let confirm whether my development steps are right or not ?
    2: Another thing s I am not sure reg Configuration Steps means
    whetehr one interface determination and one Receiver Determinations are required or not as these are synchronous Interfaces
    3: main Issue is::::
    If my scenario s FILE2RFC2FILE then I will get RFC response automatically but here issue is this is JDBC
    My reqquirement is By sending one Field from fILE to JDBC REQ it needs to send entire TAbLE records as a Response to file as XML
    without having Sender JDBC how can I send the JDBC Res to FILE and If that is the case then again JDBC adapter is polling which is contradict to the client requuirement which i explained above.
    pleas suggest me the Detailed steps mainly Colloboration agreements and logical routings and
    also explain in detail if i can  go for BPM
    Also give cleear blogs but before giving make sure that it contains detailed screen shots because aIready gone thorugh

    Bye,

    Hi,
    Does your other SDN post "Inserting data through JDBC adapter" refer to the same problem?
    I assume you use XMLSPY for creating XSDs.
    I used the XSD posted by you in the other forum thread and tried to generate the XML structure and it does not seem to generate the XML structure in the format required by the JDBC adapter.
    sample file generated from your XSD posted in the other forum thread:
