JDBC driver 8.1.6 for jdk 1.1 download fails

I've tried to download the classes111.zip for 8.1.6 jdbc drivers
for four times now and each time after the downlaod is complete
I get an error stating that the archive is missing 576 bytes
I'm using ie4 with no firewalls. The size of the downloaded file
is 974 462 bytes

I believe the one from technet was created
under the Solaris environment. That is
the only difference that I know of.

  • Which jdbc driver should be used for sqlserver 2000 and where to put it.

    hi all,
My odi is 11g. I met the error infor "Could not load JDBC driver class [com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver]" when i tried to connect to a sqlserver2000 database.
    The questions are:
    1. which jdbc driver should be used for sqlserver 2000?
    2. which folder to put it in?
    3. how to set the physical topological "Microsoft Sql Server" to use this jdbc driver?
    failed tries:
i downloaded the driver "SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC Service Pack 2" and put it in the following folders:
    1. .../oracledi/drivers, and set this path to CLASSPATH.
    2. .../oracledi/userlib didn't exist, i created it and put the driver in.
    3. .../oracledi/agent/dirvers, in which a readme file exists and told me to put drivers in this folder.
All these works were not useful. when I start odi.sh and try to connect to sqlserver2000 database, the same error infor came up.
    my environment is:

    Hi,
You should check which JVM version is required by that version of the driver, I think the 2.x versions require a 1.6 JVM
What error are you getting? If it is the "com.sunopsis.sql.c: No suitable driver", it indicates it can't find the jar file (sqljdbc.jar) for the driver you specify.
Drivers folder in ODI 11g is under
    C:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\drivers.
if you are using the standolone version
    On windwos :
    C:\Documents and Settings\<userName>\Application Data\odi\oracledi\userlib
    on linux
    $HOME/.odi/oracledi/userlib
    Have a read of :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/core.1111/e16453/install.htm#CHDBIFAJ

  • Jdbc driver creates new thread for each statement with a query timeout set

I am profiling a web application that is using the Microsoft JDBC driver, version 1.1 to connect to a sql server 2005 database. Each java.sql.Statement that is created, within the application, gets a query timeout value set on it ( statement.setQueryTimeout(...) ).
I have discovered that the JDBC driver creates a new thread to monitor each Statement and the query timeout value. When the application is under load these threads are getting created faster then they are being destroyed and I am concerned that this will cause a performance problem in production.
One option I have is to remove the query timeout value and the monitor threads will not be created, another is to change JDBC drivers.
I'm curious is there any way to control this behavior so that these threads are not created or are managed more efficiently.  Is there a workaround that anyone is aware of?   Is this considered a bug?
I have found a similar bug here for the 2000 driver:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/894552
    Cheers

    Hi,
Thank you for using the Microsoft SQL Server JDBC driver.  You are correct that a new thread is started to monitor the query timeout when a statement is executed.  This is a potential performance issue that we may look at addressing in the upcoming v1.2 release.  The current behavior is not configurable.  The only workaround with the v1.1 driver is to limit your use of query timeouts to only those statements which you reasonably might expect to actually time out.
We do take customer feedback very seriously, so if anyone else is concerned about this particular issue, please chime in and we will be able to give it appropriate weight.

  • Pool cache exhausted ORA-12519 JDBC Driver configured. Quid for database ?

    Hello,
I'm developping a java application (1.5) with threads (500). I'm using ojdbc14.jar to connect to my database (Oracle 10.2).
    I'm using a pool (oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionCacheManager).
    InitialLimit is 30.
MaxLimit is 100 for tests but production value isn't defined yet.
After 33 concurrents connections, my pool is exhausted.
OracleDataSource.getConnection() throws an SqlException with error code : ORA-12519: TNS:no appropriate service handler found.
So, I would like to configure database to allow more than 33 actives connections.
I searched inside listener.ora but found nothing. I'm loosing mysel inside data dictionnary and don't find nothing on www.oracle.com, forums.oracle.com or even google.
How can I configure properly database whether it is possible ?
Else what can I do to improve number of maximum connections.
I guess JDBC driver is limited by database configuration.
    Thanks a lot.

I am also facing a similar problem, can any one let me know how this can be addressed?
    TIA,

I am currently downloading a purchased application from apple store, the application starts downloading then at some stage through the download the Mac asks for my user password to make changes, once I enter the password the download just disappears and I need to start again. I have tried using a different user and the same thing happens. I have also noticed that in purchases the application says to install but in the application page it says it is downloaded. I have spoken with apple support and they seem to be stunned and not sure what is going on! Help does anyone else have any suggestions, its an expensive app and I hope apple is prepared to refund if I cant download it.

When you're having problems with multiple user accounts, it can be an indication that the startup disk needs repairing or there's not enough free space on the disk to install apps.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
    Click:  Verify Disk
If the repairs are necessary, instructions here >  Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks
For disk space. Look at the bottom of the Disk Utility window. You'll see Capacity and Available
Make sure there's at least 15% free space.

  • JDBC DRIVER JDK Compatability...

We are currently using XI 3.0 service pack 20 which runs on JDK 1.3..we have an interface to an oracle system which is on 11g..
We were given  the OJDBC6 drives (which I understand is only for JDK 1.6) and we installed it.. but the CC does not due the JDK incompatability... the exact error in CC - (Unsupported major.minor version 50.0).
I would like to knowif anybody has faced this issue and what is the best solution possible -
    1) Upgrade Xi 3.0 to JDK 1.6...not sure if that is possible?
    2) Use a lower version drivers to connect tot the db...not sure if that is possible either...
I would appreciate your thoughts on this issue...
    Regards,
    Arvind R

    Hi Arvind,
The installation wizard creates an Oracle JDBC provider that uses the Oracle 10g JDBC driver (ojdbc14.jar). This JDBC driver can be used for connecting to both Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g. However, you might want to use the Oracle 11g JDBC driver (ojdbc5.jar) for connecting to Oracle 11g if you find issues with the Oracle 10g JDBC driver, or if your organization has standardized on the Oracle 11g JDBC driver.

  • Selection of jdbc driver for oracle 8i

Which jdbc driver should be used for connecting with oracle 8i?

8i is not supported with the 11g driver. (Node ID:401934.1)
But not supported does not mean not working .
Since your database is out of support anyway you may not be looking for a supported solution, right?
So I'd give the 11g JDBC driver a try...
Nevertheless you should consider upgrading the database you run.

  • PI 7.1 and Oracle JDBC driver: missing com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda

    Hello,
I want to deploy the JDBC driver for Oracle databases as described in OSS 1138877 on a brand-new PI7.1 (SP06 Stack) installation. Unfortunately, I can't find com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda on the system, so I can't add the ojdbc14.jar file and deplay it using JSPM.
Where can I get it from?
    Thank you and best regards,
    Herwig

    hey,
The JDBC driver installation is different for PI 7.1.
The dowload/modify/deploy .sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda method was used in the earlier versions.(mentioned in the How to guides)
Look at the SAP documentation below -

  • Jdbc adapter:unable to locate a suitable JDBC driver

Ater I activated the scenario, there was an error occured in RWB: " Unable to locate a suitable JDBC driver".But we have deployed relavant driver in SDM,so why did it happen?Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello xinjiang,
What database are you connecting to? Assuming that you have deployed the driver properly in SDM. Please check the parameters in your Sender JDBC Communication channel, particularly "JDBC Driver" and "Connection".
For example, if your are connecting to a SQLServer database,
    JDBC Driver should contain "com.microsoft.jdbc.SQLServerDriver"
    and Connection should contain jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://<db-hostname>;databaseName=<db-name>
    Hope that helps you out!

  • File-xi-jdbc Driver

    Hi All
file-xi-jdbc scenario in jdbc adaptor under d/b connections how do we give parameters like JDBC Driver, Connection, UserName and password .and where do we get them.
    pls give a response.
    Thanks & Regards

under the JDBC connection tab: the required paramters are filled depending upon the Databse you are using....so depening upon the D/B you also have to deploy the necessary jar files to suppor the driver information you mention in the connection tab.
    Example
    MaxDB
    JDBC Driver Class: com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB
    Connection url : jdbc:sapdb://DBServer/DBName
    MSAccess
    JDBC Driver Class: jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    Connection url : jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/1.mdb
    Sqlserver
    JDBC-Driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    Connection: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://10.94.22.99:1433;DatabaseName=COS
    check these information:

  • Third party JDBC Driver and Domain Extension

Hi everyone, I'm using a third party driver to acess some of the legacy databases in my company. I'm adding them to Weblogic's (v. 10.3.3.0) Classpath by setting the EXT_PRE_CLASSPATH in the setWLEnv.sh file. Everything worked fine so far, until I had to extend my domain to acomodate new settings. The Configuration Wizard crashes in the middle by saying "A fatal error Has Occurred. This Application will terminate". By inspecting the logs I saw that the Wizard tried to search my Data Source which used the third party driver and couldn't find the Driver Class. I would like to know if there is a better way to add the library to the Weblogic's Classpath or someway to workaround this issue during the extension. In my current situation I'm having to erase the data source, extend the domain and reconfigure the data source, which is big trouble !
Any help will be appretiated ! Thanks
PS: I've also tried to add the third party driver's JAR in the CLASSPATH inside config.sh file but unfortunately the error was the same !

You can place your jar files in the domain lib directory.
WebLogic uses a separate classloader to load classes from the domain lib directory. This classloader
is a child of the system classloader, and a parent of the application classloaders. The classes and
resources in any .jar file placed in the directory is automatically available to all applications.
Note, however, that the domain lib classloader does not support redeployment, dynamic reloading, or FastSwap, and cannot
refer directly to code in the application classloaders. But i think that this is not a problem, you just want your
thrid party JDBC driver to be availlable for your applications.
