JDBC Outbound Connection to iSeries/DB2 Error CPF4204

One of our interfaces processes 500 messages from SAP R/3 to XI and then to a JDBC outbound adapter to an iSeries DB2 database table.  While processing this stream of messages 2 or 3 times the adapter errors with the following:
03:12:15 (4332): Error parsing message content: Technical description "java.sql.SQLException: [SQL0901] SQL system error. Cause . . . . . :   An SQL system error has occurred.  The current SQL statement cannot be completed successfully.  The error will not prevent other SQL statements from being processed. Previous messages may indicate that there is a problem with the SQL statement and SQL did not correctly diagnose the error. The previous message identifier was CPF4204. Internal error type 3109 has occurred. If precompiling, processing will not continue beyond this statement. Recovery  . . . :   See the previous messages to determine if there is a problem with the SQL statement. To view the messages, use the DSPJOBLOG command if running interactively, or the WRKJOB command to view the output of a precompile.  An application program receiving this return code may attempt further SQL statements.  Correct any errors and try the request again."
03:12:15 (4333): Error processing message: "java.lang.Exception: Message '43774ecc-32c8-0136-0000-00000a020034' preparation for database insert failed" - rollback DB
Does anybody have any ideas???  We just restart the errored message and it goes through fine the second time.

    I have a scenario where XI needs to send data to AS-400 (iSeries) DB2. To do that we installed the DB2 JDBC driver for AS-400 (jt400.jar).
    However, we are getting the following error:

    Even in my current implementation i'm using AS400 & integrating the same with XI.
    Please check whether u gave the same comm.channel properties.

  • 2.1ea2  iSeries DB2 jdbc driver

    Has anybody installed it and got it to work? The latest for the iSeries is jt400.jar, but I can't get it to work. It says there is a java class error.

    I'm not really sure if the iSeries migration is already covered. The DB2 connection tab is in my opinion only for DB2 UDB V8 and V9.
    Those UDB releases on LUW (Linux,Unix and Windows) have the jdbc driver installed in the DB2 home and you simply need to copy the libraries db2jcc.jar and db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar to SQL Dev and link them.
    But those drivers don't work with my iSeries V6 - I'll get an error message.
    Not sure where you saw the connection using those 2 jar files worked against an AS400 .. but if you want to test, them, you need to download DB2 Connect or a trial UDB database for Windows or Linux.

    I am trying to create a new connection pool with using the weblogic 8.1 (non XA driver (weblogic.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver)). When I create the pool one of the steps is to test the driver configuration and it fails with this step.
    I get the following error:
    [BEA][DB2 JDBC Driver]The databaseName connection property is not valid when connecting to Host Operating Systems.
    We are going through IBM's DB2 connect gateway (version 8.x) to connect to a DB2 database running on Z/OS.
    Here are my connection parameters:
    Driver Classname: weblogic.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver
    url: jdbc:bea:db2://db2cont2.arrow.com:3700
    Database User Name: XXXXXX
    password xxxxx
    properties
    user=db2trce
    portNumber=3700

    DB2 on OS/390, z/OS, iSeries, and AS/4001, the URL is like this:
    jdbc:bea:db2://db2_server_name:port;Location=db2_location;CollectionId=your_collectionname
    Try removing the serverName property and the databaseName, and
    change your URL to
    jdbc:bea:db2://db2cont2.arrow.com:3700;Location=db2_location;CollectionId=your_collectionname
    where you would change 'db2_location' and 'your_collectionname' as appropriate.

  • Error in XI Sender JDBC adapter for AS/400 DB2

    We are trying to connect to AS/400 DB2 from XI's Sender JDBC Adapter. we got the driver from DataDirect (connectjdbc.jar) and configured it within XI .The configuration according to the manual for this jar file is

    Incorrect name parameter jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb root,pass in naming operation.where root is the username and pass is the password and kaushikb is the database name.
    I am entering the tablename as: emptable.

    Let me guess: you did
    getConnection("jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb root,pass");rather than
    getConnection("jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb", "root", "pass");

  • Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager failed with error code 0xC0202009 using DB2 connection

    I have a SSIS project that I am newly running on the SQL server (2005) .  It was previously run on my PC.  I am importing data from a DB2 server to the SQL server.
    I am in the SA group on the server
    My connection to DB2 works
    When open the package and run it in preview mode, I can retrieve the data.
    When I execute the package I get the below errors:
    [MIDAS OLE DB Source [1]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "NGMDSPA.alharris" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
    [DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "MIDAS OLE DB Source" (1) failed validation and returned error code 0xC020801C.
    What I have already done that has not worked:
    The original Protection level was set to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword. 
    I have reset the Package Password.
    I have set the protection level to DontSaveSensitive
    I saved the package on the server and set a Package Password.
    I created a new package, set the Protection level to DontSaveSensitive, set a package password in a configuration file using the Package Configuration Wizard.

    Yes.  The Drivers are installed and I have a successfull connection.  I am trouble shooting the issue on the server in BIDS.  I can connect to the DB2 server via the Connectionmanager.  I can also preview the data in the OLE
    DB source connection.  Therefore I know that I have a proper connection
    If you're setting option as DontSaveSensitive then you need to pass the connection information from configuration file/ config table. Otherwise it wont be able to use it for connecting to your source/destination servers. This is the recommended way as it
    will enable you to change connection info at runtime.
    If you want connection info to persist you need to use protection level as EncryptSensitiveUsingUserKey or EncryptSensitiveUsingPassword and set a password.

    your database is not registered with the listener.
    you need to go to the server and check the status of the listener to see if the database service is registered. If not you need to do it manually.

  • Data flow fails on packed decimal field moving iSeries DB2 data from one iSeries DB to another

    I' trying to use SSIS to move table content from one iSeries DB2 database to another.  I'm using the .Net providers for OleDb\IBM DB2 for i5/OS IBMDA400 OLE DB Provider in the connection managers for the source and destination and the test connection
    works fine.  When I try to run the data flow task however it fails on the first packed decimal field it encounters with the exceptions ...
    [select from hydro520 hydroweb2 blpmstr [16]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR.  The "component "select from hydro520 hydroweb2 blpmstr" (16)" failed because error code 0x80004002 occurred, and the error
    row disposition on "output column "MSPRIB" (55)" specifies failure on error. An error occurred on the specified object of the specified component.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.
    [select from hydro520 hydroweb2 blpmstr [16]] Error: The component "select from hydro520 hydroweb2 blpmstr" (16) was unable to process the data. Pipeline component has returned HRESULT error code 0xC0209029 from a method call.
    [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED.  The PrimeOutput method on component "select from hydro520 hydroweb2 blpmstr" (16) returned error code 0xC02090F5.  The component returned a failure code when the pipeline

    From the Data Types mapping rules between SSIS and DB2, we can see that both the NUMERIC and DECIMAL data types in DB2 are mapped to DT_NUMBERIC data type in SSIS. Now that the source data in your DB2 database is NUMERIC data type, changing the DT_NUMBRIC
    data type to DT_DECIMAL is invalid. Besides, if we check the data types of the target External column and Output column from the Advanced Editor for ADO NET Source adapter, the data type should be defined as DT_NUMERIC with Precision as 9 and Scale as 2. I
    am not clear where you see the DT_NUMBERIC(9,0) e.g. DT_NUMERIC with Precision as 9 and Scale as 0, but it may be the cause of the issue. You need to make sure the DT_NUMERIC data type also has Scale 2 instead of 0.
    If you don’t know how to modify the data type, please elaborate the Data Flow Task of the package so that we can make further analysis. Besides, the error messages you posted are incomplete, it will be helpful if you post the complete error message.

  • How do I connect to a DB2 database from Oracle 10G on linux?

    I have tryed to connect to a DB2 database from oracle 10 G on linux.
    I have installed unixODBC and a db2 odbc driver. I can connect to the db2 using isql, but oracle comes with this error:

  • Connection Pools for DB2 UDB 8.2 on a SUN AS 8.1

    Hi,
    has somebody experience or knows a place where I can get more information in setting up a connection pool to a DB2 UDB 8.2 database from a SUN AS 8.1 server?
    I'm struggling now for some weeks to get this working, but it doesn't work. I've tried the JDBC JAR's delivered with DB2 but get configuration errors. When I use the JDBC JAR's mentioned in the SUN AS documentation, it seems that the SUN AS 8.1 opens a connection, which is refused on the DB2 side.
    The setup of a connection pool to a Postgres DB worked directly. The connection pool is correctly setup in the SUN AS but the ping doesn't work.
    Hope somebody can help.

    I think the exception is thrown because the pool was never allocated. So this exception should be okay.
    Then comes a lot of reflection stuff (at least in my opinion) and finally there is a try to open the connection. What I don't understand is why there is

    But nevertheless I think I will realize your second suggestion and write a java client which opens a datasource. This make take some time (one or two days).

  • Connection timeout with DB2 source

    Hi all,
    looking for any similar experience... I've a scenario, started with StartScen.sh command, that imports data from a DB2 mainframe database and do some transformation.
    Sometimes, when data to import is huge, even if all ELT transformations goes ok the whole scenario fails. Debugging it I've seen that failure is due to a timeout got from DB2 connection. I've found that ODI works in this way:
    1. Opens connection to DB2
    2. Loads needed datas
    3. Peforms transformations
    4. Closes connection
    Since step 3 takes long time DB2 connection time out and of course when you close the connection you get an error about socket already closed from remote side. TCPDump has showed that no keepalive packets are sent from client to server.
    I've opened an SR to Oracle and they told me that there's no way to force closing connection before perform transformation. Also Oracle relays problem to a possibile missing keepalive function in DB2 JDBC driver. Oracle suggests to change the scenario adding a step to load data from DB2 to a local table and then another step to perform transformation starting from this local table. This is not applicable as many scenarios have to be change in a production environment.
    Does anyone has already dealt with a similar problem?

    TIMEOUT parameter "Oracle Data Integrator Timeout" has been increases but this is not working. This parameter is for the connection with ODI repository database and not for the application database. Is there any separated arameter/setting to control the conncection timeout against warehouse database where data gets loaded.

  • Database connection timeouts and datasource errors

    Connections in the pool randomly die overnight. Stack traces show that for some reason, the evermind driver is being used even though the MySql connection pool is specified.
    Also, the evermind connection pool is saying connections aren't being closed, and the stack trace shows they're being allocated by entity beans that are definitely not left hanging around.
    Sometimes we get non-serializable errors when trying to retrieve the datasource (this is only after the other errors start). Some connections returned from the pool are still good, so the application limps along.
    EJBs and DAOs both use jdbc/SQLServerDSCore.
    Has anyone seen this problem?

    OC4J 9.0.4.0.0 - BTW, do you know of any patches?As far as I know, there are no patches for the 9.0.4

    down. Here's four sources:Those sources refer to OrionServer -- and an older version, too, it seems.
    Like all other Oracle products that start out as somebody
    else's -- including, for example, JBuilder (that became "JDeveloper"), Apache Web Server (that became "Oracle HTTP Server") and TopLink -- their development paths diverge, until, eventually, there is absolutely no similarity between them at all. Hence, the latest versions of OC4J and "OrionServer" are so different, that you cannot be sure that something that works for "OrionServer" will work for OC4J.
    I recall reading something, somewhere, sometime about configuring OC4J to use different databases (other than Oracle), but I really don't remember any details (since it was not relevant to me, because we only use Oracle database). In any case, it is possible to use a non-Oracle database with OC4J.

    I want to use RFC in the R/3 backend system to call a JCO-Server on SAP CE 7.1 (outbound connection).
    The JCO-Server starts successfully and everything works fine so far. That means, I can send an IDoc (material "MATMAS") via RFC to the SAP CE 7.1 and if I look through the transaction we02 the Idoc sent successfully to the the system. But if I look through the log-file of the CE 7.1 (.../nwa/logs) I realize the following error-message:

    We are running Oracle 8.1.5 on Solaris 7 machine, and our java application running on JDK 1.2 connects to Oracle via JDBC thin driver because we couldn't make jdbc oci driver work.
    When we try to connect via oci with the driver originally shipped with 8.1.5, we get:

    Please this is not simple as simple as checking the classpath and LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
    I tried the sample program and the result is the same. As pointed out first by Won, putting the libocijdbc8.so from SDK8.1.6 in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH has no effect at all. It gives the unsatisfied linker error. The sample program fails. However the sample program works fine with the libocijdbc8.so from sdk8.1.5. The library gets loaded. But at the time of creating the connection it gives make_c_state error.
    Here is my CLASSPATH, PATH and LD_LIBARY_PATH variables
    ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product/8.1.5
