JDev 11.1.1.2.0 - ojsp.next mode - error with scriptlets

So, the JDev started to reject running the application, saying
OracleJSP error: oracle.jsp.parse.JavaCodeException: Line # 3, oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseTagScriptlet@1213caa
Error: Java code in jsp source files is not allowed in ojsp.next mode.
The scriptlets are there, in the jsp file. BUT the problem is that they WERE always there. I don't want to develop taglibs for this case.
Is there any way to return it back to a normal mode?

I’m working on WC Spaces Customization library “com.acme.custom.webcenter.spaces.war”. From time to time, when I deploy the library to WC Server, it errors out.
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: Cannot undeploy library Extension-Name: com.acme.custom.webcenter.spaces, Specification-Version: 11.1.1, Implementation-Version: 11.1.1.2.113 from server WC_Spaces, because the following deployed applications reference it: webcenter-rest.war, spaces.war, sharepoint-servlet.war, webcenter-rss.war
If I try to login the Spaces, I get “Java code in jsp source files is not allowed in ojsp.next mode.” Should I stop the Spaces server before the deployment? In this case, other people won’t have accesses to Spaces? The deployment error doesn’t happen all the time.

I don't think that this error is based on ojsp.next mode. The first error I see is that the application can't be undeployed. After that you get the 'ava code in jsp source files is not allowed in ojsp.next mode.' error. As you said this only happens sometimes which also point to an other problem and not to the jsp error.
Have you ask this on the {forum:id=354} forum?
For me it's more a deployment/redeployment question.

Tracked down the way to solve the problem, although I'm not sure exactly why it happens.
The issue is that somehow the struts .jar files are being removed from the StrutsExample/public_html/web-inf/lib directory by the process of upgrading the project from 9.0.5.2 format to 10.1.2. This may be deliberate to force the setup of the latest versions of common libraries - I don't really know, but because this is not a project in conventional JDeveloper format (the layout on disk is defined by the origional demo from Apache) things get screwed up.
Anyway - the fix.
Extract the zip to disk and take a backup of all the jars in /web-inf/lib
Open the workspace in 10.1.2 and try and run.
Once you get the error, restore the copied jars to the lib directory again. Run again and all will be fine.

Events and Projects can be internal or on any ext. drive.
You can use any Event in any Project.
… so, why is the 'location' of your files on any relevance for your Projects ??

JPA error with Jdev 11g and 3.6 server

I am testing a sample JPA demo I found on OTN and I am running into an issue when I start a coherence instance in a command window and run the sample code within jdev. If I run this example in Jdev with out starting the extra instance it will run correctly. The error I get is shown below, ideas???

As an updtate, I set local storage = false and that made things work, but I a not sure why. So I stll need and some help in understanding why.

Application is working on 11.1.1.3 middleware.
And if we build the application with 11.1.1.3 middleware (and jdk 1.6.0.18) and run it on 11.1.1.7 middleware, it works perfectly fine.

In my case, I have the bounded task-flow. I have the bean ('npsnfibean') configured in the task-flow as view scope. And I have the view (jsff) used in the same task-flow. This view has some other jsff included in that and these included jsff also uses the npsnfibean.
I am seeing this error just after the control moved from router to page. There are no other log messages displayed. I don't think this is the issue of configuring the bean in out of scope.
Can you please help me to debug this.It would be great if you can provide the defect number which is fixed in 11.1.1.7

Mixing next n records with cfswitch order by problem

I'm trying to make 2 types of page navigation work together. both work fine independently, but when I put my next n record code together with my change order by code, when you hit the next button, it goes back to the set default for the order by. I know I need to change some code logic in my scripts that run the next n records, but I'm not sure what I need to change in it to make it all work together properly. I get YES as the output, even when I hit the next button and change the category.
If I use this:
<cfdump var = "isDefined('sort')>
all I get is this:
isDefined('sort')

Going to next ppt slide with full screen dashboard problem

Hi,
we're using Dashboards 6.0.7.0 and Powerpoint 2010. I want to use interactive dashboards in my presentations, e.g. with a slider or mouse-over. I have embedded the dashboards into my ppt, that is I used the export to ppt functionality and copied the whole slides into my presentation. The problem is, that I want the dashboard to cover the whole presentation slide. As soon as I use the dashboards functionality, like hovering over mouse-over sensitive fields, I can no longer go on to the next presentation slide, as Powerpoint will no longer react to my presenter or go to the next slide on clicking with the mouse. I always have to stop presentation mode (ESC) and jump manually to the next slide to continue with my normal presentation.
Do you have the same problems? How do you go to the next slide when using full-screen dashboards in your ppt-presentations?
I'm very much looking forward to your ideas!

Smartform Next page error

         I have done a smartform inwhich i have two pages.
        while display, i have calculated a field discount, which displayed in the first page correctly, but in second page it is not displayed properly.
         what could be the reason and the remedy, pls suggest me on this.

Stories Limitation? - Unable to use Next/Prev Jump with individual Stories.

I have tried to use Stories on a recent DVD project to save scripting a 'Play All' button. From reading many people have advised using Stories for this particular reason. However I have run into one issue which I can't get around:
When selecting an individual story to play I can't find a way to allow the user to 'Next Jump' or 'Prev Jump'. This only seems possible if the whole track is selected as if the user presses 'Play All' - then the user can Next Jump / Prev Jump to the following or previous track.
What I want to do is allow the user the option to simply Next / Prev Jump when playing an individual story so they can return to the menu instead of pressing the menu button. Is this a limitation with Stories? I have read other people having a similar problem but would like confirmation if anyone knows. Thank you.

Argh.... sorry when I read these parts of the original post I thought you were referring to the next/previous in a story that would not work and you had to wait for the story to end or break out with the menu command. The link you later referred to, well then I got it. You want to jump between stories.
There are various ways to try to do things but there is no way to assign the story to end jump two different ways (sort of) based on whether the prev/next command is pressed. In other words if you have a menu that has a story to play Scene 2 of a movie, you can arrange things so that when Scene 2 is over you can either go back to the Menu OR go to another story. If you want to point people into an entire movie and start at a Scene you can point to a "Play All" story and the Chapter Marker in the Play All story and it will prev/next. If the story jumps to a story on another track, you can try to script previous next to work, but then again it is only in the context of having some decisions made as to how you want it to navigate, but it may not be perfect...not sure if that makes sense(?)

Jdev 11.1.1.0.1 local weblogic server error.
