Jdeveloper 10.1.2- subversion plugin

I am triyng to get a subversion plugin for jdevleoper10.1.2.2.0(Build 1929). When I say check for updates-> it asks for otn username/password. when I put in the username and password, I get the following error
"An error occured while getting updates from OTN. This may be
due to a network problem, proxy settings or the update center
may be temporarily unavailable.
Details:Attribute value should start with a quote."
similar steps works ok on jdev10.1.3
Any help would be grately appreciated
Thanks
MM

I got my applications migrated to 10.13. I got the subversion plugin for jdev10.1.3
Now when I import files to subversion(first time to the repository), some times the import fails, it gives an error. It looks like it has updated the repository, but deletes my local copy which is scary. Any idea why this happens?
Thanks

  • Very buggy subversion plugin

    Hi,
We are using the subversion plugin within JDeveloper.
The problem is that the plugin is so unreliable and harmful that we often prefer using tortoise directly on our local source directory.
I'm not sure if Oracle is in charge of this plugin, but could someone tell us when this plugin will get a serious update to make it usable at last ?
    Thanks.

  • Subversion plugin not working as it should

I have just spent a couple of hours trying to setup the subversion plugin. I tried to search previous threads but i'm not able to find a problem similar to mine. I have created a sample project and imported it to a repository. after i checked out this project successfuly but in the application navigator it is not aware that this is a versioned project as is showing me the svn folders and no versioning icons or functionality what so ever.
    Can anybody help please?
    thanks.

    Try this:
Create a new application - when it prompts you to create a new project in the application click cancel. You end up with an empty applicaiton.
While your cursor is on the application, use the versioning menu to check-out the project you have in SVN. Note the directory that the project is checked-out to.
Your project should now be part of your new application.
If it isn't just press the green + sign in the application navigator and add the jpr file from the directory you noted above to your application.

  • Missing Subversion plugin in 10.1.3.3

    Hi there,
Does the subversion plugin need to be updated for 10.1.3.3? It doesn't show up under "Check for Updates"
    Regards,
    John

Has anyone had problems with the configuration of Subversion. I know this is very much off topic, but I am having troubles with authentication.
I've set anon-access = none in the specific repository's svnserve.conf file, however for some reason I can still get into the repository without logging in, and read the files. I've tried multiple configurations, but still the same problem.
Anyone else experienced this, and possibly have a solution?

  • Subversion plugin // 11.1.1.1.0 not showing icons in app nav

    Hi,
I am using Subversion plugin with JDev 11.1.1.1.0 but it does not show Subversion related overlayed icons in app nav (e.g. a file is modified etc.)
If i use Jdev 11.1.1.3.0, i can see the icons. I was wondering if there was a bug in 11.1.1.1.0 Subversion plugin. I cannot upgrade to Jdev 11.1.1.3.0 because of production support and must stay on 11.1.1.1.0.
Any help from the QA or Susan Duncan's team would be helpful.
    Thanks,

Tried that several times John. Tried again after you asked me to. Even created a new directory etc. and checked out from SVN. Not sure what is going on.
    Ok, i found a workaround.
Tools->PReferences->Versioning->General->Env Settings uncheck overlay icons and labels hit ok
and then again, do the same thing but this time check the icons to make sure icon and labels are used.
    This works for me.
    Thanks,

  • Subversion Plugin for Oracle Workshop 10.3

    Hi All,
I have oracle 10gR3 installed with workshop.
Did try to install Subversion Plugin from the usual update site but failed. Seems like some old bug. anyone managed to installed Subversion Plugin in workshop 10gR3 yet?
    many thanks
    sallo

Hi, I was able to install using the first link, but I did not get a dialog for connectors after the restart, also after installing SVNKit I see nothing in the Team view, etc.
Is it related to the fact that the user I used for update is not an Administrator user and for installing Workshop was?
    Tx in advance.

  • JDeveloper and Subversion Plugin

We've now adopted Subversion for version control, and we are using the available plug-in for jDeveloper. We are using jDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4.
    We've noticed some behaviours:
    * An update of the application retrieves new files, but they do not show up in the application navigator until the application is closed and re-opened.
    * On XML files sometimes a "version history" results in blank version selection windows (nothing to select). Restarting jDeveloper fixes this.
    * Sometimes a checked-out application does not receive any version numbers until we also do an "update working copy".
I've done some searching in the forums, but I haven't found any applicable posts. Are there any support documents that cover problems with Subversion integration?
    Keith Peterson

    Hey all!
Rather than creating a new topic I decided to steal this one. :)
Well, we just started using Subversion (1.4) as our version control system. We tested it with Netbeans, Eclipse as well as with Tortoise shell extension. Both work fine, except for the fact Netbeans plugin does not implements all good Subversion features yet (e.g. file locking). However, we are experiencing problems with JDev (10.1.3 Prodution). When checking-out or submitting some files from/to SVN repository, an error message is displayed and sometimes, JDev hangs...The error message says something like "...malformed network..." (unable to reproduce it now...sorry). Then, we observed that some files were checked-out/submitted...It raises the exception in the middle of the process.
In all the cases I mentioned here, except Tortoise, our repository and SVN server are installed on remote box, accessed via svn://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/repository URL. Eclipse and Netbeans were as well able to access Subversion through WAN (VPN), from my home-office without problems.
Could anyone help me on this JDev issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Sorry for my bad English.
    Best Regards,
    Gustavo

  • JDeveloper 10.1.3 BPEL plugin - can NOT connect to BPEL PM server

I can use the JDeveloper BPEL Designer 10.1.2.1.0 to create a simpel BPEL Process that I deploy to the BPELM PM with the following WSDL:
    http://kmandrup-dk:9700/orabpel/default/BPELProcess1/1.0/BPELProcess1?wsdl
I can then use JDeveloper 10.1.3 to hook up to this WSDL
I would however prefer to use the BPEL plugin from within JDev 10.1.3 to create the BPEL process and deploy it directly. However I can't figure out how to establish a connection to the BPEL PM. Should I instead install a UDDI registry in my application server and then register the web service there? Seems like a "twisted" workaround!
In JDev 10.1.2 connections view, there is a node called BPEL Process Manager Server where one can create connections to BPELM PMSs
In Jdev 10.1.3 there is an App Server node and an Integration Server node, but the Integration Server node seems only able to refer to the App Server connections.
How does one achieve a direct BPEL PM Server connection in 10.1.3 similar to the effect of 10.1.2.
When I create a new BPEL Process Project I get an error, That the WSDL for the service created is not valid, due to being unable to acces a BPEL PMS :( What to do?
It also complains that it is unable to create the test suites :(
Is something missing in my BPEL plugin install perhaps???
Thanx in advance for any help!

Does the 10.1.3 J-Developer have the BPEL plugin in it? I didn't think this was avail. Unless you are on a beta version, I would bet you don't have the full deal like you think.

  • Subversion plugin for SJSWS

Is anyone aware of a subversion (SVN) plugin for Sun web server? The svn website goes into detail on how to use SVN with Apache 2.0 by utilizing WebDAV. Has anyone found a way to utilize Sun web server WebDAV with SVN? I've searched the web for a few hours and haven't been able to find anything for Sun web servers. Any information on this would be great.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

Has anyone ever figured this out? I use svn+ssh today because I didn't want to go to the trouble of running an instance of Apache just for hosting my svn repos. However, I'm at a point now where I need to make it available via http/https, and since I am already running SWS, this seems like the preferred route, if it is possible.
    Thanks,

  • Subversion plugins for eclipse are out of date or not working

I have tried to install both subclipse and subversive from AUR. None of them work with current version of eclipse. Subversive cannot be installed because of broken jar files. Subclipse is for an older version of eclipse.
I have tried to install using eclipse pluginmanager, but it is buggy. I preffer a proper arch package in order to know what is installed.

Post your comments in the AUR, against those packages. Better still, update them yourself, and send your PKGBUILDs to the maintainers.

  • Subversion JDev plugin and proxy

    Hi,
Is it possible to configure the JDev subversion plugin to work via a proxy?
The subversion server is listening using HTTP on the Internet but there are no proxy options under subversion in JDev. Is there a file somewhere that I can add a proxy config manually?
Tortoise SVN client does have a proxy setup.
Using JDev 10.1.3.3 and SVNKit 1.1.1
    Brenden

    Brenden,
The way I was able to use a proxy - install the SVN client, then set up the JDev plugin to use the native client. Then, you can configure the proxy via the normal mechanism for SVN.
    Hope this helps,
    John

  • ER: Intelligent subversion support for refactoring

    Problem
The JDeveloper subversion plugin doesn't understand refactorings such as move and rename. When e.g. renaming a resource from X to Y via the refactoring menu in JDeveloper, the svn status will show a missing resource X and a new resource (not under version control) Y. The version history (svn log information) is then lost for this resource.
    Solution
When a refactorings such as rename or move are performed, JDeveloper should perform an svn move (or svn copy followed by svn delete) on the affected resource.

Thought I'd make an additional comment on why this is so important. Imagine the following scenario:
    1. Developer performs a Rename or Move refactoring in JDeveloper.
    2. JDeveloper does a naive rename/move, subversion now sees 1 missing resource and 1 new (unversioned) resource.
    3. User performs the correct procedure for committing new code into the repository:
    - update local working copy
    - resolve conflicts, run unit tests
    - commit changes
In this scenario, when updating the local working copy the SVN client will re-introduce the missing resources, and these will then be committed to the repository.
IMO this is something that really needs to be fixed.

  • Can i use jboss seam in jdeveloper

    Hi,
    I am new to jdeveloper.
I am developing and application using jboss seam.
I am using jdeveloper as my ide.
can anybody tell me if i can use jboss seam with jdeveloper.
or are there any plugin available for jboss seam.
    nagesh

    Hi Babak
It's a common requirement on posting to this forum that you describe which version of JDeveloper you're using and what technologies (obviously ADF BC in this case).
For making the static value dynamic within your View Object, are you familiar with the View Object bind variables/bind parameters? This will allow you to define a named variable in your VO that you can set programmatically or even let the user set. Play around with those first and see if they solve one part of your problem, then come back to the forum for the second part.

    CM.

  • Create LifeRay portlet in JDeveloper 11g

    Hi...
I want to create LifeRay JSF portlets using JDeveloper 11g is there any plugin or any tutorial which guides in this process?
    Thanks
    Feras

Well, in JDeveloper 11g, you can install the Webcenter design-time extension via help->check for updates (Oracle Webcenter Framework and Services Design Time)
Once you've installed that, you can create JSR-168 portlets using JDeveloper as documented [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_java_intro.htm#CEGDCAEE]here.
Nothing specific for LifeRay, though. If you have specific questions, you would probably have better luck on the Webcenter forum.

  • Subversion Issue in 11.1.2 - Candidates not showing up  losing changes

    Hi All:
I would like to report an issue that we have found with JDeveloper 11.1.2 Subversion in which new files are not showing up in the Candidates folder unless a Refresh is done. This is hit or miss, as most files are showing up, but new ones don't seem to be. Therefore, when the Working Copy is submitted to subversion, these new files have not been submitted to subversion. If my PC crashed, or restarted due to power outage, etc. These files are also lost.
Any subsequent check-outs of the Application are then missing these files.
This was discovered when transferring our applications from an old PC to a new PC. Unless Refresh is pressed each and every time a new file is created, that file does not show up in Candidates, which then allows them to be moved to outgoing.
The necessity of having to hit Refresh will ultimately be missed at times due to human error, and we are wondering if this is an unknown bug. Noticing that there is no version number beside an item in my project is the only clue that there is something wrong.
I have screenshots of this occurring if anyone would like to see them.
    Thank you.
    Mary
    UofW

    Hi,
would be good if you had a support contract to work with support on further analyzing and reproducing the problem. As hgood as OTN is to get in touch with JDeveloper and ADF users it cannot replace support in more complex cases that require to reproduce a situation
