  • Upgrade JDeveloper JDK to the latest JDK 1.3 Beta ?

I need to use the latest JDK 1.3 from Sun and thought how
do I upgrade the JDK in JDeveloper ? Any specific instructions
    are appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi
Yes. You can use a different version of the JDK by following
    these steps:
    1. Tools | Default Project Properties (or Project | Properties
    depending on
    your need).
    2. Target JDK version: Click Define.
    3. Click New. Browse for java.exe. The Class path and Source path
    will
    auto-populate.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Select the new target JDK for any existing projects you wish
    to use.
    regards
    raghu

  • Applet works in JDeveloper, but not when deployed to OC4J

I am working on an applet version of the BI Beans java client application. It works fine when running in JDeveloper (applet viewer), but fails when deployed to OC4J. The applet shows a red X, with a message in the status bar saying "Loading Java Applet Failed...". Contents of java console are as follows:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/dss/selection/step/Step
         at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method)

Here is the message that JDeveloper shows when it runs the applet. I have gone thru this and ensured that all these references are selected in my .deploy settings:

JDev does not launch the URL with Internet Explorer, however if I execute it out of VPN, the application runs normally and something important, if I re-connect to VPN, the URL works perfect and is able to connect with Oracle DB.
    Any help will be apreciated.
    Thanks.

Did you ever find a solution for this?  I am having the exact same problem.  All I can figure out is that it has something to do with VPN, however the odd thing is that I can get it to work on an XP machine, just not Windows 7.  Both have the same VPN client and are identical copies of JDeveloper.

  • Debug multiple projects in Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4

    Hi all,
I have 2 projects (tcp/ip server and client) in one workspace. How can i set up the jdeveloper so that I can debug both projects simultaneously. For example in Microsoft Visual Studio I have an option Debug->Start neu instance for each project independently.
    Thanks a lot,
    Alexander

    Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: model/view/DepartmentsVOImpl : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Is the Java version in JDeveloper JDK 7 and the version on the server an earlier version such as JDK 6? The model/view/DepartmentsVOImpl class is compiled with JDK 7 but is being run with JDK 6 on the server.

  • Project deploy JDK version.

We want to develop a PCJ bean for oracle forms using Jdev 10.1.3.3.
But it is not reached from forms 10.1.2.2. Java bean is not found error occurs.
Then we want to import java class into forms following error ocuurs.
    exception occurs: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: gorev/Formse (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
We think it is a bug because of Jdeveloper JDK version.
We tried the same code with Jdev 10.1.2.2 and it works properly.
So we want to compile the same project using JDK 1.4 from Jdev 10.1.3.3.
is it possible to compile a project with older JDK versions.
    How?
    Thanks.

    Ali,
I told you how to do that...
    Create a new J2SE definition for 1.4
Then change your project properties to use that J2SE definition. Your other projects will continue to use 1.5.
Or am I misunderstanding your question?

  • Unresolved external symbol __imp__JNI_CreateJavaVM@12 Under JDK 1.6

I'm running on Microsoft Vista using VisualStudio 2008 to create a C++ program that starts a Java process through JNI. I'm using jdk1.6.0_13 which is currently the only JDK on my machine. I started with a very basic program to just boot strap the project, and immediately ran into an issue. I'm linking with the jvm.lib in the JDK lib directory, but I seem to still be missing the import reference for JNI_JavaCreateVM. Any idea why the linker can't pick up the reference?

    HI,
I am facing the same problem.
Still you can look at my output
I look for Dir structure. Declared all Env Variables too. And yes I also specified the jvm.dll for it. But still error remains same.

Try deploying directly from the OAS EM Web interface - it might provide a more detailed error message.
If you are using JDev 10.1.3 my guess it might be that your deployment descriptor files are using J2EE 1.4 syntax instead of J2EE 1.3 syntax which is what OAS 10.1.2 expects.

  • Jdeveloper is not running the project

    Hi forum,
I am facing an unique problem. Please help me out.
I am using a Oracle application which uses BC4J to connect to an oracle database and displays results in a Jclient bounded swing GUI.
All applications were running fine but since last two days,Jdeveloper is not able to launch the application when i run it from the IDE. Normally our "Agency Form" should be displayed. But the run manager in the IDE just stops at "Starting application", and the application form never shows.
This happened not only on a single machine but in an array of 5 machines where separate Jdeveloper projects (same database) were running properly
    We have checked the following:
    1) The Oracle server IP/service name hasn't changed.
    2) No configuration changes in the JDeveloper/JDK jhas been done.
    3) No new code has been added. this is a previously working version.
all the different projects(apps) just stopped running out of the blue. I am using Jdeveloper 10g preview available on the website (9.0.5)
    Thanks
    Sumit

What is displayed in the log window with the runner icon on it?
