JDeveloper Oracle ESB Designer calling SOAP with SSL

Hi,
I am new to Oracle ESB. I am creating a SOAP serving in Jdeveloepr ESB designer to invoke a WSDL. That url needs a user id/ pwd to be accisible. How can I enable this in Jdeveloper ESB designer
Thanks!

Not sure what documentation you have read but JDev does not get installed as part of the 10.1.3.1. It did with the single user license of 10.1.2
here is the link, just unzip and play
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/soft10134.html
Please not that this is 10.1.3.4 and is only certified for SOA Suite 10.1.3.4. If you are using 10.1.3.1 then install JDev of that version. I would recommend upgrading SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4 as 10.1.3.1 is old. Part of the 10.1.3.4 install is installing 10.1.3.1
patch is found here http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html (There is a patch link in the 10.1.3.1 install) Don't be surprised with the size of the patch as it looks like a fresh install. You just install into the same home as your 10.1.3.1 install.
cheers

  • SOAP with SSL in weblogic 5.1

    Hello!
Any idea of using SOAP with SSL in weblogic 5.1.?? My webservice works properly
when I use http, but it doesn't work with http.
It's very important to me, to get a solution for this problem!!
    Many thanks.
    Best regards,
    Rafa.

    Hi Rafa,
Can you possibly upgrade? WLS 5.1 does not have a built-in web services
stack. WLS 7 and WLS 8.1 make this very easy.
You might try searching back in this newsgroup using the header search
    of "5.1"

  • JDeveloper BPEL/ESB Designer

I'm going spare trying to set up a version of JDeveloper with the BPEL / ESB plugin.
I have found and tried to follow Oracle documentation fo the BPEL Process Manager which claims that JDeveloper with BPEL Designer is installed with BPEL Process Manager (10.1.3.1.0).
Once installed where the documentation claims is the link to run JDeveloper is just a HTML page telling you to download and updated JDeveloper but the BPEL update is not in the list of possible updates.
Google has lead me to go old school and find an old Eclipse Europa install and try an out of date plug in but thats not working either (not that its much good even if it did)
Any help as to where I can actually find what I am looking for or just a pointer to any tool where a newbie can start developing some BPEL would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

  • FTPS  &  SOAP with SSL

    Hi ALL,
my scenario isender is File and receiver is IDOC , now i need to impliment FTPS for the sender file ,for this i need to use certificates for SSL ,but my doubt is who will have to give the certificates ,..? the XI system ..or the file sender FTP server.. ?
send me your undestanding ..& if some one had worked on this kind  of scenarios pls give me more inputs .
if the FTP is receiver will this change like ,we XI need to give the certifiactes to the FTP server.. ? how it works give me more inputs
My next scenario is SOAP sender and Idoc receiver ..how to use HTTPs here ..who will give the certfictes either XI sytem ..or the SOAP system if its sender ...if SOAP is receiver will this Certificate usage process changes.. ?
    Regards
    Shakeif

    Hi ,
You need the chain certificated of the FTP server.
what does this mean its little confusing me ..? can you pls explain this..?
Try to download the server certificate and save the CAs in .crt format.
from where i have to download the server certificate .. ? from FTP server or XI j2ee admin.. ?
The next step is install this CA certificates in TrustedCA view in J2EE Keystore. I think you must to restart the J2EE server if your version is 7.1.

  • SOAP receiver / SSL

    Hello,
I have the following scenario : R/3 -> XI -> SOAP with SSL.
When accessing the target URL with a browser I don't have any problems. The SSL handshake is working correctly,I can download all certifcates from the chain and they are all valid.
I imported the CA certficates into the keystore. But XI is unable to create the socket. In the logs I have the following message :
"Attempting to create outgoing ssl connection without trusted certificates".
We have other partners using the same scenario working correctly. I checked and the partners that are working correctly are using a 1024 public key and the new one that causes error is using only a 512 public key.
    Thanks,
    Bela

    Hi Bela,
Did you ever solve the issue I'm currently facing a similar problem when trying to use SSL to call a web service

  • Oracle ESB with SOAP SSL

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle ESB. I am trying to create an outbound SOAP adapter. The WSDL url require user id / pwd(SSL enabled). If the url is SSL enabled I am getting an error.
Can some one help how to configure a SOAP adapter in Oracle ESB which can communicate to a WSDL that requried user id/ pwd authentication? Please note we are not using BPEL and only using Oracle ESB.
Should I have to use Oracle WSM?
    Thanks,
    Umapathy

    Thanks!
The error is "Failed to read the wsdl from ..... http"/......
WSDL:HTTP connection error code is 401"
When I make it as https://....
    I am getting the error
    caused by ,java.net.ssl.sslexception
    "Unrecognized SSL message "
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Help with ESB as external SOAP service proxy

We are trying to leverage ESB in the first steps of implementing an SOA solution for our organization.
We have an external SOAP service that we would like to register with Oracle ESB. In turn, are internal programs
would then call the service through the ESB using a SOAP interface. This allows us to hide the external
SOAP service definition from our internal programs, allowing us to modify the external SOAP service or add extra routing
where necessary without affecting the calling client.
CLIENT -> (SOAP) ESB -> (SOAP) EXTERNAL SERVICE
Is this the correct use of ESB?
We are having a couple of issues when trying to use the WSDL ESB creates within our client code. One being Oracle APEX.
We can create forms against the external soap service WSDL, but when we try to hit the WSDL ESB creates, it gives back
"The WSDL document could not be understood by the rendering engine. Click Create Web Service Reference Manually to continue creating a reference for this service."
    Any ideas?

I was able to get the virtual service running through EM by changing the <hostname>
    http://<hostname>:8888/event/CustomerData/IdentitySOAPService
Would the url on the test page be the wsdl url we would hand out to the clients? I am curious as to what the context /event/ is?
Also, if I were doing straight service virtualization, would it be correct to just create a SOAP service hitting the external service? Or is it better to have a routing service exposed to the client?
Client -> ESB [ (Routing Service) -> (Soap Service) ] -> External Service
    or
Client -> ESB [ (Soap Service) ] -> External Service

  • Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16

Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
    Validation error = 16
From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd);      System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
    1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
    2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
    3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
    4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

I received a workaround by an internal message.
The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • I need some simple examples to start with for Oracle ESB

    Hi All,
Please share some simple examples to startwith for Oracle ESB.
I need to understand, what are the files are created, once created an ESB project.
What is the use of the files how to edit them with out using JDeveloper.
Iam trying to create a simple example.
I would like to create a file which has only "HELLO" in that file, simple text file inside a folder "INPUT" in my c:\ drive.
I wanted to create a ESB service which picks up the file and add a string to it like "HELLO" + "ESB" and drop this file into "OUTPUT" folder in c:\ drive.
How do i do that. I tried to do it when i deploy the integration server connection is gettting hit badly. I dont see that connection any more and i dont see that connection in my JDeveloper.
I dont want to start with existing code.
    Please help
    Regards,
    Vijay.B

    Hi,
If you want to do it from scratch you can basically do the following:
Make sure you have created an application server and integration server connection in JDeveloper.
    1) Create a new JDeveloper project of type ESB project.
    2) Possibly add a ESB System/Group (open the esb file and click "Create System/Group") to group ESB projects.
    3) Create an XML schema describing your input XML file. Probably one element of type xsd:string.
    4) Create an example XML file which is well-formed and valid according to the XSD from step 3.
    5) Create a new File adapter (inbound/read). A routing service is automatically created.
    6) Create a new File adapter (outbound/write).
    7) Create a routing rule in the routing service in which you invoke the write method of the outbound file adapter. Possibly add a transformation using the XSL mapper.
    8) Deploy the ESB project to the server.
    9) Drop your XML file (from step 4) in the directory in which the inbound file adapter is polling.
    10) If it is ok, the file should be picked up, transformed and dropped in the outbound directory. A new ESB instance should be visible in the ESB console.
See what files are generated on the filesystem in each of the above steps.

  • IE unable to connect to Oracle HTTP Server v10.1.2 with SSL

    Hi,
I configured OHS with SSL to run APEX applications.
This configuration can be run from Mozilla browsers and Opera, but not from Internet Explorer.
I suspect that IE doesn't support 256-bit encryption, as both browser above support it. So I set several combination of SSL Cipher Suite in ssl.conf. I also set IE to use TLS v1, SSLv2, and SSLv3. But this doesn't show any results. I also found that several sites which has 256 bit encryption (read the information from Mozilla and Opera browser) can also be opened by IE (read as 128 bit encryption). So I guess the encryption is not the problem, and I move on to the Apache error_log files.
    What I found from Apache's error_log.xxxx is
[error] mod_ossl: SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 29014 (server ---.---.com:4443, client --.--.--.--)
    [error] mod_ossl: Unknown error
[error] mod_ossl: SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 28864 (server ---.---.com:4443, client --.--.--.--)
[error] mod_ossl: SSL IO error [Hint: the client stop the connection unexpectedly]
So I looked in the Metalink and found Note:312041.1 and applied patch 4960210 and restart the server. But now it wouldn't start at all, despite that all configuration files were not changed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Aulia Bismar

You can use any PKCS#12 file with OHS if it includes the complete private key and certificate chain. With Oracle Wallet Manager (owm) you could also create a private key, import it, import the CA certificate as trusted certificate, create a certificate request for the private key, get the certificate response from the CA and import this.
If you use an unsual CA, ie cacert.org, you must import the CA root certificate as a trusted server certificate for IE.

  • SOAP XML corruption with SSL

When we start Flex from an SSL url (and send messages to a
web server with SSL on), one of our SOAP messages gets corrupted.
It only happens with one particular call, and there is another call
which produces almost-identical XML that doesn't encounter the
    problem.
Using ethereal, we see that the SOAP message looks as follows
(I've removed some parts inside the XML that are well-formed, I've
also modified the IP address). Note that the last n characters from
the XML string have been pasted over the start of the SOAP XML!
If we turn SSL off in the web server (and access the Flex app
using http), it works with no problem.
Have you seen anything like this or know what might be
    causing this corruption?
    Thanks.

There appears to be a bug where the XML is corrupted if the
file size is too big and SSL is turned on. This happened for XML
somewhere in the range of 8K-9K. To fix the problem, I tried
removing single tags (tried several different ones), and that was
enough to get it to work where there was no corruption. In the end,
I re-named my tags with shorter names and was able to make this
    work.
Definitely a work-around and we need to find a "real" way to
    solve this.
    Has anyone run into this?

  • Integration with Oracle ESB 10.1.3.1 and Peoplesoft HRMS

We are integrating Oracle ESB with Peoplesoft HRMS using a SOAP service to invoke a Peoplesoft HRMS webservice.
We are facing problems as HRMS application expects parameters - 'To' and 'From' with specific values to be passed in http header in the message from ESB as they are using http listener at their end.
We have tried to configure these parameters as end point properties in the SOAP adaptor but have failed to invoke the webservice at HRMS. They have given us a WSDL file and we have configured the SOAP adaptor with the same.
We get the following error -
An unhandled exception has been thrown in the ESB system. The exception reported is: "org.collaxa.thirdparty.apache.wsif.WSIFException: exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message transmission failure, response code: 500 at com.collaxa.cube.ws.wsif.providers.oc4j.jaxrpc.WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.invokeOperation(WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.java:1731) at com.collaxa.cube.ws.wsif.providers.oc4j.jaxrpc.WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.invokeRequestResponseOperation(WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.java:1473) at com.collaxa.cube.ws.wsif.providers.oc4j.jaxrpc.WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.executeInputOnlyOperation(WSIFOperation_JaxRpc.java:1156) at oracle.tip.esb.server.common.wsif.WSIFInvoker.executeOperation(WSIFInvoker.java:865) at oracle.tip.esb.server.common.wsif.WSIFInvoker.nextService(WSIFInvoker.java:781) at oracle.tip.esb.server.common.wsif.WSIFInvoker.nextService(WSIFInvoker.java:801) at oracle.tip.esb.server.service.impl.outadapter.OutboundAdapterService.nextService(OutboundAdapterService.java:208) at oracle.tip.esb.server.service.impl.outadapter.OutboundAdapterService.processBusinessEvent(OutboundAdapterService.java:127) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.InitialEventDispatcher.dispatchNonRoutingService(InitialEventDispatcher.java:118) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.InitialEventDispatcher.dispatch(InitialEventDispatcher.java:95) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.BusinessEvent.raise(BusinessEvent.java:1444) at oracle.tip.esb.utils.EventUtils.raiseBusinessEvent(EventUtils.java:112) at oracle.tip.esb.server.service.EsbRouterSubscription.onBusinessEvent(EsbRouterSubscription.java:305) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.EventDispatcher.executeSubscription(EventDispatcher.java:138) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.DeferredEventDispatcher.processSubscriptions(DeferredEventDispatcher.java:153) at oracle.tip.esb.server.dispatch.EventDispatcher.dispatchRoutingService(EventDispatcher

  • JDeveloper 10G (BPEL Designer): how to create db connection to Oracle Lite

I want to create a JDeveloper database connection to the Oracle Lite database installed with JDeveloper 10G BPEL Designer, but haven't been able to find any info on the subject.
Can anyone point me to some info or walk me through it?
    Regards

To connect JDeveloper 10g to an Oracle Lite database, you will need to follow this setup.
    1. Create an ODBC entry for the Oracle Lite database. If you have installed Oracle Lite 10g Mobile Development Kit, you should have a copy of POLITE.ODB pre-installed. Check your ODBC.ini, or run Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC), and follow the polite entry pattern. If you create a new Oracle Lite database, you must create a matching enrty in the ODBC configuration file.
    2. In JDeveloper, create a new connection for your Oracle Lite database.
The Connection Name should match your entry in ODBC for ease of reading.
The Connection Type should be Oracle Lite.
    The Username is system.
    The Password is xxx.
The Deploy Password box is checked.
The Datasource Name must match the ODBC entry exactly.
Leave the rest of the fields as is.
    Test your new connection.
    Enjoy.
