Jdk 1.0.2 download

I need jdk 1.0.2. I know it is more than a decade old, not supported and is not available in Sun website for download. can somebody give me pointers where I can download it from? Thanks in advance.

we had a java applet that was developed years ago and is still being used. now, i had to change the database connection string in the class files to point to a new database. before i could change the code, i just compiled the code using latest version 1.6 and it did not work (applet did not load). so, tried to find out what version the class file is targetted for. i looked at the bytes in the class file ( CA FE BA BE 00 03 00 2D-04 9E 0A 01 97 02 63 07) and found out it could be either 1.0 or 1.1. then, i compiled the code using 1.1; now the applet loaded, but again an event was not working (selecting something in the drop down box triggers some other functionality which didn't work). so, now i want to try using 1.0.
does it make sense?

  • How to download 64 bit JDK for SUSE Linux 10.2 x86_64 Machine

    Hi SAP Guru's
We are in the process of Installing SAP Netweaver SR3 on the suse linux 10.2 on the x86_64 Machine.
We are unable to findout compatable jdk whcih will support this plateform.
Please suggest where from we can download JDK.

    Hi,
You can download and install it using YaST (Software/Software Management) in Suse 10.2.
You can install the Java packages with YaST. If you choose Filter "Search" and enter "Sun" you'll quickly find them.
Suse only supports up to 1.5 if you want 1.6 you must get it from the Java site.
You can also search around this following FTP Link.

  • Invalid file - SQL Developer 1.2 for Windows download

I attempted to download the latest verion(1.2) for Windows with JDK and failed.
Download process completes downloading the file, but it then complains that its not a valid ZIP file!
    cheers.

It's not a bug. There can be a number of reasons why, when you attempt to download a file, you do not get the full download. One of which is just that you lose the connection and that can depend on where and when you download, another is that there can be fire wall issues on the client site. There are times when the issue is on the Oracle side and this too can be as a result of different things. In this case, there is a specific OTN forum for site issues. I have not seen any such mention of a problem or a downtime or anything else in the past few weeks. All I meant is that if you have a problem with a download, you might try again later. We have had a few thousand SQL Developer downloads in the past few days, so there is no issue on our side.

  • J2EE download...

I downloaded the Web Services Development Pack 1.1 and installed it onto my machine thinking that it was the J2EE SDK 1.3... however, whilst following the instructions for setting up from the SUN site I found that my installation did not include a J2ee.bat file.
Any idea where I can get this? Also, does this mean that the SUN site has a spurious link?
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/tutorial/1_3-fcs/doc/J2eeTutorialPreface.html#46338
This tutorial documents the J2EE SDK version 1.3. To build, deploy, and run the examples you need a copy of the J2EE SDK 1.3 and the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE) SDK 1.3.1 (earlier versions were called JDK). You can download the J2EE SDK from
    ********http://java.sun.com/j2ee/download.html#sdk***********
    and the J2SE 1.3.1 from
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/

Look familar? thats the directory tree of a jdk / jre download from the first jdk available on the downloads page.
No java docs, and no java docs to download... there are however moronic links for people telling them HOW TO INSTALL jre, just no links to actually download docs, i would thin the documentation button would actually be documentation, not howto's for retards... why this is not an option or compulsory download is beyond comprehension. Developers need man pages, simple end of story. And i'd say 99% of the time 99% of the staff at Sun would also need them.
This was however my second install, the previous consisted of a fake download page linked from google after typing in 'java jdk' which promted me to install Java EE sdk and jdk, /w glassfish.... that's nice and all but the docs that came with that download do not contain java development docs, they contain another subset completely different to standard jdk.
The second install jdk + jre 1.6. have no docs... where to find them is mission impossible due to monkeys writing the website, but netherless i will eventually find them and will only be a few hours or so of my life wasted.
    thanks.
ps. i won't be posting back this is just a vent and a wake up call to website admin.

  • Installing JDK in Linux

Hi I have managed to install the self extracting binary on Ubuntu 7.10, but when I run "java -version" I get the following message.
    gregory@dirge:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_03$ java -version
    java version "1.5.0"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.2.1 (Ubuntu 4.2.1-5ubuntu5)
Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.Does someone know how I can get the SUN JDK working? I have been searching for an answer and one of you guys/gals be of assistance.

I tried to install Java on Ubuntu 7.10 using apt-get, unfortunately it failed for me.
I did some more searching around and found these manual instructions which are valid for both Ubuntu and Debian.
    http://wiki.serios.net/wiki/Debian_Java_JRE/JDK_installation_manually
These are the commands I used to install the Java JDK binary
You have to dowload the latest Java JDK (in this case, jdk-6u3-linux-i586.bin) from the Sun Java site.
    Change directory to /usr/local/lib
cd /usr/local/libFrom there extract the JRE or JDK archive file you downloaded:
sudo sh /some/path/jdk-6u3-linux-i586.binIn the above commands, replace /some/path with where the JRE/JDK .bin/.tgz resides and of course replace the filename with what it actually is in your case.
Now create some symlinks so that the executables can be run easily. Change directory to /usr/local/bin
cd /usr/local/binFrom there execute the following set of commands:
sudo ln -sf ../lib/jdk1.6.0_03/bin/* .Pay attention to the period at the end of the command, it is required. And adjust the directory as well to what you have (e.g. jdk1.6.0_03 for the Sun Java 1.6.0_03 JDK).
    3 Verify installation
To verify that the installation was successful, execute
java -versionThe output should look something like this if everything is well
    java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode, sharing)

  • IA64 JDK 6u25 installer broken on Win2K3 SP2

The current JDK installer on the download site (jdk-6u25-windows-ia64.exe) will not run on a 64 bit IA machine running Windows 2003 SP 2. Running the exe results in an error popup with message "The image file jdk-6u25-windows-ia64.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine." At least two of the archive JDK installers (jdk-6u7-windows-ia64.exe and jdk-6u21-windows-ia64.exe available from http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/6u21/index.html) do not have this error on the same system and install successfully. I wonder did Sun test this installer?

The error seems to occur on 32bit system trying to execute a 64bit executable.
As you have said you are already executed the the u21 and u7 64bit version already without any issues, can you check weather you have changed any properties of the u25 version like "compatibility mode" ( right click on the setup file and select properties and see "Compatibility" tab).

  • Configuring JDK & JRE  for Vista

    1) make sure you have the jdk. i know you said you have downloaded it but at the very least you don't seem to know where it is in your hard drive. so, fire up windows explorer and search for javac.exe
if found, note the folder it is in, proceed to 2)
    if not found
    a) visit http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
    b) put on vision correction device
    c) find instructions on that page
    d) follow those instructions
    c) GOTO 1)
    2)
    a) go to the command prompt
    b) go to the folder containing SALUTON.JAVA
    c) run javac by fully qualifying it with the folder that it is in found in 1)
    something like like c:\Program Files\java\jdk1.6.0_04\javac.exe SALUTON.JAVA
    if you get message
'JAVAC' IS NOT RECOGNIZED AS N INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL COMMAND, OPERABLE PROGRAM OR BATCH FILE
give up and find something else to do with your life

  • SDK, JDK, JRE,

    Hi everyone,
I'm very very new to Java etc. I want to learn JSP/Servlets.
Now I see I need to install software, I see things as SDK, JDK, JRE what is this all? What do I need?
I tried to find the info but there is so much information I'm not sure what I'm looking at. So I thought if there is any expert here that can clearly explain what the difference is between SDK, JDK, JRE.
    Thank you very much!!
    Regards,
    Steven.

JDK:     When you download Java, you will get a couple of tools: the compiler, a tool to generate documentation, a tool to change security settings and a tool to run compiled Java programs (class files). All of these tools bundled together is called the Java Development Kit (JDK). If you want to create your own Java program, this is what you need. Later we will show you where you can get the JDK, and how you should use it.
SDK:      Since the introduction of JDK version 1.2, a different name is used for the Java Development Kit: Java 2 Software Development Kit (SDK).
JRE:      The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is part of the JDK. It contains only those tools that are needed to run java programs. It does not contain the compiler. Therefore it is a lot smaller than the JDK. If you develop a Java program for someone else, you are allowed to give him the program and the JRE so he can run your program. Officially you are not allowed to distribute the JDK, but anyone can download it freely from internet. The JRE for Windows also contains the Java plugin.
    from: http://www.win.tue.nl/~marko/java/
To get Java set up, follow the tutorial "First Cup of Java":

  • How can I see objects on jeap using tools in jdk-bin directory

    Hi,
I am using Jconsole to monitor JVM. It is giving how many objects are there in heap.
But how can see the list of those classes ?
Is there tool available in standard JDK ?

Use jmap to dump the heap
and use jhat to view them...
jmap and jhat are part of jdk so no extra downloads...
