Jdk run time setting to specific installtion

Hi,
Our Solaris installation is with jdk1.5.
To install Oracle Service Registry11g, requires jdk1.6 version. Installed jdk1.6 in other directory of the file system.
Please suggest how to set jdk1.6 specific to OSR installation.
Thanks.

Try giving -jreLoc as paaramater when installing

We start by downloading OSR and Oracle Weblogic 11G ( 10.3.2 or 10.3.1 ) .
Install Oracle Weblogic and unpack the OSR zip. Open command and set the java home and path.
set JAVA_HOME=c:\oracle\wls1032\jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32
set PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%
java -jar oracle-service-registry-11.1.1.jar

  • Is it possible to modify a view at run time?

    Hi,
    I am relatively new to using SQL Server, so sorry if this is impossible or very easy and I missed the solution.
    I am working on an enterprise SQL Server 2008 R2.  Because of the size of the company, we do not want to create new Views as they need to be maintained.  With that said, I need to use Views and not tables because of DB traffic issues.
    HERE IS MY QUESTION:
    Is it possible to Alter a view at run time; in this specific instance I want to change a constraint in the WHERE clause to include one more value in an IN() constraint.  Specifically I want the modified SQL to go from WHERE column IN('A', 'B', 'C')
    to
    WHERE column IN('A', 'B', 'C', 'L').  I do not want to permanently modify the View, I just want the View to change when it is run for this report.  I need to do this in order to fix a dynamic report.  I am sure that there is another way to
    accomplish this; however, a solution of this manner would also have many other uses, so I am curious if this is possible.
    Feel free to tell me that it can be done.
    Thanks for your ideas!!

    Right, I understand those fundamentals.  We outsource a lot of out view creation and do not have permission to create views for Business reasons; these are beyond my control.  However, I can see the source code to many Views.  We have also
    been told that we should not use tables in our queries.  Therefore, I need to use existing Views.  Specifically, I would like to add an additional value to an IN() constraint.  This would change the constraint as showed below:
    IN('A', 'B', 'C') ---> IN('A',
    'B', 'C', 'L')
    I am wondering if this change can be made when the view runs and only for this one report, with the change being made from the report.  This would be very easy if the constraint was removing a value.  Obviously I could change the constraint from
    IN('A', 'B', 'C') to IN('A','B') very easily with out modifying the View. This would be done by writing a query against the view and in the WHERE clause adding the new IN('A', 'B') statement.  However, I want to do the opposite and add a value...

  • How to generate database text items at run time in oracle forms 6i?

    i have a text item with NUMBER OF ITEMS DISPLAYED=3. My requirement is, i need to generate text items at run time under each TEXT ITEM(3 text items will be there since number of items displayed is 3) and the values will be stored in the database based on the primary key combination. pls help me to solve this pblm

    Hi,
    You cannot generate items dynamically at runtime. The only thing you can do is show and hide item on time. Thay seems that they are generated at run time. Second thing you can do is that you can put items on stack canvas and set visible property of stack canvas to no and at run time set it to visible according to ur condition. Otherwise there is no way. If you find any other way, plz do inform here also.

  • How to Run a Request Set on specific days and at specific hours

    Hi community,
    The question is simple, how to rin a Request Set on Specific Days and at Specific hours?
    Let me explain the scenario.
    E-Business Suite, Release 11.5.9.
    We have a request set under Sysadmin user. This Request set is running 24x7, during all year, and we want to restrict the execution from Monday to Friday since 08:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. in order to increase the productivity of our system and more over, to avoid the size increase of a table (OE_EXPOSURE_INTERFACE)
    The Request Set includes 5 Requests:
    10. Workflow Background Process.
    20. GUZMAN: Cálculo metodo pago en pedidos.
    30. GUZMAN: Exposición de crédito externo.
    40. Credit Exposure Import.
    50 Initialize Credit Summaries Table.
    As you can see three of them are standar Oracle Order Management Processes and two of them are custom Oracle Order Management Processes; and the requests must be executed in that order.
    We have just thinking about to create a Custom Manager with a workshift from Monday to Friday since 08:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m., and include the requests as specialization rules or assigning those request to a Request Type and then include that Request Type as specializated rule, but this does not assure us that the request will be executed in that order.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks a lot for your answer in advice.
    Luis.

    Hi Anchorage,
    It could be a solution, but not the exact solution that we want. Let me say why.
    With the Request set we have the security that each concurrent request is executed when the prior one finishes; is that to say 20, does not begin till 10 finishes, and 30 does not begin till 20 finishes and so on. The most critical concurrent requests are 40 and 50, cause those are the ones that import an external credit exposure in the OE_EXPORURE_INTERFACE table (40) and are the ones that delete those external credit exposures imported (50). The problem is (and we do not know why) that these actions makes grow the size of the table and each time the 40 and 50 processes takes more minutes to finish. That's why we need to truncate the table in order to avoid the excesive grow of itself.
    Making each process independent, with a begining time and hoping and expecting that the following one does not begin till the prior one ends is not an admisible or realizable solution due to the problem with the 40 and 50 processes.
    So at the end, we need a request set in order to know that each one began when the prior one ends.
    And Due to in order to truncate the table, as I said before, the processes that have a relationship whit it, must be stopped (just the 40 and 50 processes) prior to the truncation.
    So as you see, it is difficult, very difficult.
    Regards.

  • How to set a specific time zone for time channel in DIADEM

    Hi,
    I'd like to know how to autmatically set a specific time zone for time channels in DIADEM.
    For example, I have stored data with corresponding time channel in UTC time on a disk which was collected in another time zone. Now I want to analyze this data and I want the time channel to show the local time in the time zone where the data was collected, and not the time in the local time zone where the computer is located.
    The time channel should also take site local summer/winter time into account. Now I'm running a script that handles it for me which adds or subtract hours according to my input. The problem is that I'm handling data from several different time zones and I'm not located in any of them and when you're running a lot of data over a greater time period, it's easy to make mistakes, especially when it comes to summer/winter time. Is there a any clever solution to this already implemented in Diadem that I have not found?

    Hi hj77,
    No, I'm sorry, DIAdem has no time zone functionality at all.  I'm afraid you have no choice in DIAdem but to keep running your scripts.  Summer and Winter time are truly tricky, because the rules for when the changes occur are different in different countries and states within countries and also can change from year to year within the SAME country (as they did in the US a few years ago).

  • How do you set the size / bounds of a waveform chart at run time?

    I have a plot area that I would like to fill with as many waveform charts as the user specifies (at run time). The "bounds" property is read only and I haven't noticed an additional "size" property for a waveform chart as there is for a button. Is there a way to set the size of a waveform chart at run time, and if not, why not? (Labview 6.1)

    Look at it a little more carefully, I suspect that your assumption is only half wrong. The property does only resize the plot area--LV resizes the frame to fit the resized plot on it's own.
    You'll need to bear this in mind when you're figuring-out what size to set the property to.

  • Exporting DI batch to BAT and set DI parameter/variable at run time

    Hi All,
    We are looking to call DI batch job externally and pass parameter/variable at run time.
    We tried exporting DI batch to a bat file and setting substitution parameters during export.
    In the exported .bat file, it references a .txt file which shows the name of the substitution paramemters but the value of the parameters are encrypted.
    Does anyone know how to pass parameter/variable to a DI batch job at run time externally?
    Thanks,
    Bobby

    I tried out this method and I have some additional issues.
    1. if we use the BOE scheduler the text parameter file is using a specific naming convention that is not clearly documented. it is like : -GV"$VAR=ENCRYPTEDVALUE;"... trying to modify it with a clear value like -GV"$VAR=MYVALUE;" was simply ignored by the scheduler... seems also that BOE did not sent any scheduling request to the DI Job Launcher...
    What is the proper convention please?
    2.Is there a better way to enter this parameter than editing the TXT file. Most of the BOE InfoView users are not allowed to modify or store documents.. This is not very convenient if they cannot enter simply the parameter values in a let say more confortable way...
    Thank you and cheers

  • Setting Run-time parameters for EJB objects

    Hello,
    I need to set a run-time paramater that will be used by the session beans in my
    application. I looked thru the documentation, but I'm not finding an obvious
    way to do this.
    In weblogic-application.xml, there is an <application-parameter> element that
    seems promising, but I can't find a weblogic method for getting the value of this
    element from within an EJB.
    Any ideas on the best way to do this?
    Thank you

    Ellen,
    There is no global <env-entry> that you can use currently, but you can make
    an
    <env-entry> in the EJB module's descriptors for each session bean that needs
    the run-time parameter.
    the <application-parameter> element you speak of is not a place that
    arbitrary
    values can be placed and obtained. That element is used to by the server
    and there are a specific set of values that are recognized
    as override options for the server to use for the application.

  • How to set the XML tree to be collapsed by default at run time?

    I am developing a simple software in Java, to improve my programming skills, the output of this program is an XML file. I am very new to XML. My question is that, every time the XML file is opened the tree is in expanded form, which appears to be the default setting at run time. I want it to be fully collapsed when the XML file is opened. I have read about certain solutions to this problem by using XSL or CSS. I am not familiar with XSL at the moment so I have not explored it yet. Is there any other way around this problem.
    I would like someone to just point me in the right direction so that I can eventually get to the answer.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thankyou

How the individual editor shows the XML is their property. For example, if you open the file in notepad, you may not get the pretty XML however if you open if the file in XML editor like XMLSpy, you may get its hierarchical representation.

  • JSP, Data Web Bean, BC4J: Setting the where clause of a View Object at run time

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a data web bean in which the where clause of a View Object will be set at run time and the results of the query then displayed.
    My BC4J components are located in one project while the coding for the data web bean is in another project. I used the following code bu t it does not work. Could you please let me know what I am doing wrong?
    public void populateOSTable(int P_EmpId)
    String m_whereString = "EmpView.EMP_ID = " + P_EmpId;
    String m_OrderBy = "EmpView.EMP_NAME";
    oracle.jbo.ApplicationModule appModule = null;
    ViewObject vo = appModule.findApplicationModule("EMPBC.EMPAppModule").findViewObject("EMPBC.EMPView");
    vo.setWhereClause(m_whereString);
    vo.setOrderByClause(m_OrderBy);
    vo.executeQuery();
    vo.next();
    String empName numAttrs = vo.getAttribute(EmpName);
    System.out.println(empName);
    Thanks.

    1. In the JSP, use a RowsetNavigator bean to set the where clause and execute the query.
    2. Use a custom web bean to process the results of the query (print to HTML).
    for example:
    <jsp:useBean class="oracle.jbo.html.databeans.RowsetNavigator" id="rsn" scope="request" >
    <%
    // get the parameter from the find form
    String p = request.getParameter("p");
    String s = request.getParameter("s");
    // store the information for reference later
    session.putValue("p", p);
    session.putValue("s", s);
    // initialize the app module and view object
    rsn.initialize(application,session, request,response,out,"wt_bc_WT_bcModule.wtjoinView");
    // set the where clause string
    String theclause = "presname = '" + p + "' AND slideno=" + s;
    // set the where clause for the VO
    rsn.getRowSet().getViewObject().setWhereClause(theclause);
    rsn.getRowSet().getViewObject().executeQuery();
    rsn.getRowSet().first();
    %>
    </jsp:useBean>
    <jsp:useBean class="wt_bc.walkthruBean" id="wtb" scope="request" >
    <%
    // initialize the app module and VO
    wtb.initialize(application,session, request,response,out,"wt_bc_WT_bcModule.wtjoinView");
    wtb.render();
    %>
    In this case, the render method of my custom web bean mostly gets some session variables, and prints various content depending on the session variable values.
    Hope this helps.

    Laura can you give the code of your walkthru bean? i wna't to initialize a viewobject, set the where clause and give that viewobject back to initialize my navigatorbar.

  • How to set the number of records displayed at run time

    Is it possible to set the number of records displayed block property at run time? The built-in 'GET_BLOCK_PROPERTY' can retrieve the number of RECORDS_DISPLAYED. But I can't find SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY to set this property. Is there anyway I can set this property programmatically? Thanks for any suggestions!

    Bookmark Go to End
    goal: How to vary the number of records displayed in a block
    programmatically
    fact: Oracle Forms Developer
    fix:
    Block property 'Number of Records Displayed' can not be changed during runtime
    using SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY. However, it is still possible programmatically change
    the visual appearance of the form so that it creates effect of changing this
    property. To achieve such an effect follow these steps:
    1. in Forms Builder, in the multirecord block define the new set of items.
    The simplest way is to copy/paste the original item and rename created item.
    2. set properties of these new items so that they are the same as the properties
    of the original items. If these new items were copied from original items
    then properties are already the same. Modify following properties
    'Database item' on new items to value 'No'
    'Synchronize with item' to the value of the original item
    'Number of Items Displayed' to desired value.
    'Visible' to 'No'
    In other words, these new items are mirrors of original items.
    3. code event, which is meant to trigger the change in block appearance.
    This code should use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY built-in to set properties
    like 'VISIBLE', 'ENABLED', 'NAVIGABLE', 'UPDATE_ALLOWED' and others
    to desired value for items which are about to be displayed, then
    move cursor to one of these just displayed items with GO_ITEM built-in
    and then hide the previously displayed items.
    Example:
    Assume that the block is built on SCOTT.DEPT schema. Following will
    change the set of displayed items
    set_item_property('dept.mdeptno',visible,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdname',visible,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mloc',visible,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdeptno',enabled,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdname',enabled,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mloc',enabled,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdeptno',update_allowed,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdname',update_allowed,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mloc',update_allowed,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdeptno',navigable,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mdname',navigable,property_true);
    set_item_property('dept.mloc',navigable,property_true);
    go_item('dept.mdeptno');
    set_item_property('dept.deptno',visible,property_false);
    set_item_property('dept.dname',visible,property_false);
    set_item_property('dept.loc',visible,property_false);

  • Setting the webservice url at run time for a execute button in adobe form

    Hi,
    I am using Data connection from the wsdl file to interact with the backend, the button generated from the data connection is of type execute which has the url of the webservice in the object property "Webservice URL" and name of the FM in the interface name. My problem is at present the form is working fine but when the same form transported to QA and PRD them the url of the webservice gets change. hence the same button wont function.
    The solution is either we do the changes manually in all the system or pass the url at run time. Please proide me the solution if there is a way to set this url in the execute button at runtime.
    Thanks in advance.
    Pooja

    Why don't you pass in the URL via an XML input file and bind a hidden text field in your form to that element in your XML? Then use javascript to modify the docReady event of the submit button to something like this:
    var url = textFieldWithURL.rawValue;
    this.event__click.submit.target = url;
