Thanks for that suggestion - could not get it to work. However, I did manage a different approach. I finally determined the sequence of events in terms of how the various events and listeners fire (I think).
Basically, the CalendarActivityListener fires, followed by the listener associated with the Calendar object's Create facet, followed finally by the CalendarEventListener - the final is where the TriggerEvent is available and then finally, control is passed to the popup/dialog in the Create facet. So, my approach of trying to set/get the TriggerDate in the user's HTTP session was doomed to failure because it was being get before it had been set :(
Anyway, I ended up adding a bit of code to the CalendarEvent listener - it grabs the current BindingContext, navigates through the DCBindingContainer to derive an Iterator for the ViewObject which drives the calendar and then grabs the currently active row. I then do a few tests to make sure we're working with a "new" row because I don't want to alter start & end dates associated with an existing calendar entry and then I define the Start and End dates to be the Trigger Date.
Works just fine. Snippet from the listener follows

I think the best approach would what I say is if you can make use of a Global variable or using a Singleton class having a variable which can be accessed globally through out the application.
Below is the sample what I am talking to:
So in below example you can access the variables textInputWidth and textInputHeight globally throghout the application since you have decalred them in main mxml file.
You can access these variabled in another mxml file as Application.application.textInputWidth and Application.application.textInputHeight. So if at all you are required to modify these values you are only required to modify at a single place in main mxml file..thats it.
If you are use any Singleton classes like ModelLocator you can place these variables in this class and refer from that class.
Hope this resoved your problem..

No way that I know of. It appears that Apple change the color with the last update. I tried resetting the iPod and it did not change to the old green.

You can also set the lifetime of a single password dependent on it's "idle" status:
- Initial password at user creation. (e.g. 5 days)
- Reset password by admin. (e.g. 1 day)
- Productive password not used (e.g 91 days)
.. and the minimum validity of the password, regardless of how often it is used (not idle).
- Productive password expiration time. (e.g. 90 days)
You can also manually observe what is going on via report/transaction RSUSR200.
If you take a look at the documentation on the parameters in the link already provided, you will see the logic and the dependencies between them. The selection fields of RSUSR200 reflect the same.
How you rate the risk of passwords and these settings, also depends on many other things - most notably how disciplinced admins are at using the password wizard (in my opinion).

How to edit the starting time for clips in properties?

Hello there ,
I’m testing the CS5 Audition right now and find it great except for one thing:
In the properties for each clip there is a starting time. But it just can’t be edited!
I can change the starting time of the whole session – yes.
But not the ones of the individual clips. Only by moving them around and that is not very precise.
Is there a way to edit this starting times for the clips by typing in numbers?

I set the At End menu to Timeout, set the seconds to the same as the time for the song playing in the background to finish, and set the Action to go to the Track where the video is. The song ends but it just remains on the Main menu. The video doesn't start.
What have I missed?

Dear Experts,
We have 10 users seperatly, For executing IW38/39 transaction they have maintained seperate layouts for executing the reports. While saving layout they have saved the layout as 'user specific' Now some body has chage the settings.
After changing the setting all are getting same layout.
Please suggest how to set user specific layout. When user enter the IW38/39 report by default he should get his layout.

Create Variant using SHD0 and with Group and assign to particular user's
Here is the steps
Creating a Variant Group
1. Open transaction SHD0, enter the transaction code, and press enter.
2. Choose the Standard Variants tab page, and then the sub tab page Variant Groups, and enter a group name, such as GROUP_GEN
3. Choose Create. Enter a short text on the Maintain Variant Group window that appears and save the variant group.
Assigning Users
Once you have created the variant group and the relevant transaction variants with screen variants, you now need to assign users to the variant group as follows
1. Return to the Standard Variants tab page, Variant Groups sub tab page.
2. Enter the name of a user that you want to assign to this variant group, and choose Assign. A message that this user was successfully assigned to the variant group appears in the status bar. If you choose a where-used list for users, this user is displayed in the user list.
3. However, for the screen variants of the variant group that you created above to be displayed for the user, you first need to select Set Proposal. The user is assigned to the group and the associated transactions are started with the corresponding variants only once you choose the Set Proposal function.
You can use this procedure of user assignment for all other users that you want to add to the variant group

How do I set starting time for a group of podcasts at the 30 second mark. Mostly the beginning are all repetitious which I heard before.
I know, I can do that individually by going to info and set the slider. But how can I do this collectively?

I don't think you can do it on multiple files at once. Probably the easiest thing to do is to select the first one and change the setting. Before you close out of that window, copy your start time from the field and then click next at the bottom of the window and paste into that one and so on until you're done. It's not pretty, but the quickest way I know of to do it. Otherwise, you might Google Doug's Scripts and see if that site has a script that might do this.

You must be using an update CD. You need the software that has the full version first - install that, then you can use the update one if needed. I know, cuz I made the same mistake - lol

How to set up AD user permisions for a CIFS share on a 7210

We have a 7210 and so far got it configured and working fine using NFS.
We also wish to use CIFS for general storage on our windows network.
I have added the 7210 without any problems and I can create the share and assign permissions for the root folder using an ephemeral UID and GID , however I cannot see how I would go about setting permissions on subdirectories for individual AD users.
Looking at the wiki it recomends using idmapping, but I don't really want to start creating 250 odd unix accounts ( yes permissions will need to get down to individual user level :-( ) or setting up an ldap and then mapping those to my AD users.
Other mentions in the wiki say to use the OOB client to assign permissions , however , when I connect to the share using a windows client and try to alter permissions , I am only allowed to add permissions of any unix user on the 7210 box.
I hope I'm missing something trivial ......

Depending on your needs, you may find that Set level offers the best approach:
Within a Set you have the Playbacks (Set Level, so they work for the entire set) with individual patches in the set "live" for the EWI etc as needed.
You need only map one set of controls for all the Playbacks since only 1 set can run at a time.

Modified start time for songs overlaps on to other songs

If I change the start time of a song in itunes, and I listen to the song on suffle with an ipod touch, other songs that I shuffle start with that same modified start time as the original song.
That is,
Say I have a song, "Great Song" by "Cool dudes"
and another song "Terrible Song" by "Get this off your iPod"
And I set the start time for Great Song to be 0m 42s. If I have my iPod touch on shuffle and this song is picked, it starts at 0:42. If I change the song before this song finishes and Terrible Song is picked, it will also start at 0m 42s, despite me never changing its start time.
How can I fix this?

In the UK, you currently should be in GMT with Daylight Saving on. You'll need to correct the time on the phone (by moving it back one hour in Settings > Time & date > Time) when you have done this.
After this you'll need go into iSync, select your phone and from the Devices menu select Reset Device to re-populate the phone with the correct data.

This is a known issue in the previous SQL Server version and has been fixed in SQL Server 2012. You should be able to set 90 minutes and the change would be saved in SQL Server 2012.

How to set up Multiple Playback tracks for a "Set" or "Concert"?

Hey Gang...so I'm venturing into MS2(2.2.1) now and have a feeling I just need some help understanding the building blocks. Here is what I'm trying to do:
I want to set up a concert for solo gigs where I basically will perform saxophone along with backing tracks (audio). On some tunes I use an EWI, and on others I use different saxes (EQed diff, with diff EFX, so on). SO, I want to create "patches" for each song, and have that "patch" contain the midi sound (for EWI) or settings for the diff saxes.
Here is the important part: I also need each individual "patch" to playback a different back-track.
I have started all this with the tune "Summer Madness", and here is the problem: When I switch to a new "patch", I still get Summer Madness. If I load a different BT into playback, that track is then "universal" through ALL "patches". It must be something simple, but what am I missing? Do I have to create multiple channel strips with the playback plugin loaded (seems awefully designed, and a waste of resources?) and assign DIFFERENT controller buttons (or whatever) to playback different tracks? (again, aweful, and a complete waste of midi controller real estate).
If I have explained all that poorly, my appologies. I just am hoping MS2 has a way of "auto-loading" a new BT everytime I switch to a new "patch". I cannot seem to figure this one out. Any help is greatly appreciated!
