JDO 2 support - non preview

Is there any information available about when the full JDO 2 support is
planned? I am not looking for a specific date, but a timeframe (month, 4
months, a year). I want to clean up some code and make use of some of the
new features, but avoid the additional casting and changing package names
if possible.
Thanks,
Doug

Well, we can't legally claim to "support JDO 2.0" until the JDO2 spec is
final. But we'll have official and complete JDO2 preview support (i.e.,
including the JDO2 preview jars) in the pretty near future -- probably
in the 1-4 month timeframe. At that time, you'll be able to get rid of
casts to Kodo* interfaces.

  • Canon CRW Raw files not supported in Preview, Nikon supported

    With Panther and Jaguar, Canon RAW files in crw format were supported in Preview. In Tiger, these files are not. Also, when importing these files from camera or CF reader, canon raw files tagged with .thm! What is this? an 8 kb "document" that renders file corrupt. Did not happen in Panther or Jaguar. And the problem is NOT my camera because it works fine on Windows PC and on previous OS mac.
    here's the kicker: Nikon NEF raw format is NOW supported by Preview, but was NOT supported in Panther and Jaguar.
    So, I called AppleCare and they say NO raw formats should be supported by Preview.
    Another example of how Apple has lost compatibility and quality control?
    Anyone else who uses RAW files in photography have same experience?
    Thanks.
    Michael.

    The easiest way to edit plist files is with Property List Editor, which you get installed if you install the Developer stuff that comes with your OS install disks. If you don't want to add all that stuff your computer, it is possible to edit with a a straight text editing program in plain text. Personally I find that too confusing. I put a copy of my edited Raw.plist file up:
    http://homepage.mac.com/francines/.Public/Raw.plist.zip
    It has the substitution of the S50 for the original S60. It also lists the S70, so your Canon S70 should be working. If it isn't working either, then this hack won't help you. Download and unzip the file.
    Because of permissions--you aren't supposed to be mucking about in this area--the easiest way to proceed is using the Terminal. The path is, unfortunately, extremely long. You open the System folder, then the Library folder, then Frameworks, ApplicationServices.framework, then Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources. You should now see a list of files that includes the Raw.plist file. Leave that Finder window open.
    Launch Terminal from your /Applications/Utilities folder. If you have never used it, nor ever used a sudo command you will get a friendly warning when you issue the first command. We want to make sure that the original file doesn't get lost. So type:
    sudo mv
    and a space, then drag the Raw.plist file into the Terminal and drop it. The Terminal will helpfully fill in the path. Add a space, then copy the path up to the file name and paste, then type RawOld.plist as the new file name and hit the Return key. You'll need to type your password, which is NOT echoed to the screen, so type carefully and hit the return key again.
    Next you want to add the modified Raw.plist file to the folder. Using a sudo copy command will insure that it belongs to system. So type
    sudo cp
    add a space and drag the new Raw.plist file into the Terminal window. Paste in the path to the folder (it should still be on the clipboard) hit return, give your password and hit return again. I don't remember whether it was necessary to restart the Finder or not. You might want to do a restart and then Repair Permissions, just to be on the safe side.

  • IdM doesn't support non-default port on mysql 4.1 as repository??

    Hi
    IdM doesn't support non-default port on mysql 4.1 as repository??
    IdM version is 6.0.
    I setup mysql 4.1 using non-default port 3307.
    (default port is 3306)
    During setup wizard,
    the URL [jdbc:mysql://localhost:3307/waveset] doesn't work.
    I am getting following error.
    com.waveset.util.InternalError:
         ==> com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError:
         ==> com.mysql.jdbc.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure due to underlying exception:
    Of cource,
    the URL [jdbc:mysql://localhost/waveset] works well
    when I setup mysql using default port.

    Hi,
    it does work with non standard ports but whatever port you specify it will always try to connect to the default port before actually changing the repo setting.
    Therefore use the switches -n -o $WSHOME/WEB-INF/ServerRepository.xml to write the new configuration without performing the broken checks.

    This actually isn't controlled by Active Directory but by the core operating system and its language packs.

  • Does Logic Express support non-Apple Virtual Instruments?

    Does LE support non-Apple VIs such as Native Instruments Kontakt and FXPansion BFD, or would i need Logic Pro to support that?

    Hi,
    Logic Express supports Audio Units plugins, both effects and instruments.
    Both Kontakt and BFD are available as Audio Units; in case you want to use a VST instrument (Mac version, of course), you need the VST to Audio Unit adapter from fxpansion (see http://www.fxpansion.com/product-auadapter-main.php)

  • HD TV or LCD monitor with HDMI,DVI supported to preview and color grading

    Finally I got my canon HFS100 and Intensity Pro now what type of the monitor should I get to preview and color grading video via intensity pro between HD TV or LCD monitor with HDMI,DVI supported and how to calibrate monitor via intensity pro.
    Please help.
    narkin

    The main downside is that an HDTV is designed to be used at TV viewing distance. So it would work fine for presentations, where the audience is sitting more than 5 feet away. But at typical computer screen distance of 2-3 feet, it is the same 1920x1080 pixels spread out over a 32-inch screen. Oh, actually, that HDTV you mentioned is only "720p", which is only 1280x720. That may not look all that good at TV distance either, if you are displaying images that are static (non-motion).
    Your eyes will have to work harder to see the same screen real estate, because everything is bigger on the screen. Images and text will not look as sharp (more pixelated) because each pixel is larger. It won't be like using a 30-inch Cinema Display, which has 2560x1600 pixels. Each pixel on that 32-inch 720p HDTV is more than 4 times larger.
    A 1080p HDTV would be somewhat better, because that is 1920x1080 resolution.

  • D90 NEF (RAW) files not supported in Preview in Leopard 10.5.5

    Nikon D90 NEF (RAW) files are not displaying in Finder. There is an updater for iPhoto 08 and Aperture 2 that supports these files: Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.3, but it won't install if you don't have these applications.
    Anyway to install the update so that it works for Leopard?
    My workflow is Finder/Automator/Preview/Lightroom, so Preview support is important to me - it seems strange that the updater doesn't install it.

    Hi Gordon Waddell;
    So you want a patch for iPhoto 06 that does the same as the patch for iPhoto 08. IMHO you should hold your breath for it because I don't see much chance of that happening.
    I suggest you upgrade your iPhoto or get Aperture.

  • ICC profile support in Preview and Quick Look

    I'm a photographer and I've noticed that Quick Look and Preview do not appear to support ICC colour profiles, is this a bug? I hope so.
    JPEG images are over-saturated.

    I'm not a professional, only a hobbyist, so it took me a little longer, but I also have the impression that the new Preview ignores ICC profiles.
    I noticed it when moving images between my iBooks built-in and my external Eizo screen. Since the gamut of the second is much larger, images appear rather different on the two screens. In Tiger's Preview, this resulted in colors changing suddenly during the move, when the center of the image passed from one screen to the other. This effect is gone and yes, the images are over-saturated on the 'good' screen.
    Jethro555, could you find a solution to the problem?

  • How to support non alphanumeric characters when using WORLD_LEXER?

    BASIC_LEXER has an attribute of printjoins which we can specify the non alphanumberic characters as normal alphanumberic in query and included with the token. However, WORLD_LEXER doesn't have this attribute. So in order to use some non alphanumberic characters and treat them as alphanumberic characters in Oracle Text Index, such as ><$, what should I can?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    I use WORLD_LEXER to create Oracle Text Index to support UTF-8.
    Below is the script to create table and index:
    REM Create table
    CREATE TABLE my_test
    ( id VARCHAR2(32 BYTE) NOT NULL,
    code VARCHAR2(100 BYTE) NOT NULL,
         CONSTRAINT "my_test_pk" PRIMARY KEY ("id"));
    REM create index
    exec ctx_ddl.create_preference('stars_lexer','WORLD_LEXER');
    exec ctx_ddl.create_preference('stars_wordlist', 'BASIC_WORDLIST');
    exec ctx_ddl.set_attribute('stars_wordlist','substring_index','TRUE');
    exec ctx_ddl.set_attribute('stars_wordlist','PREFIX_INDEX','TRUE');
    -- create index for Table corrosion level
    CREATE INDEX my_test_index
    ON my_test(code)
    INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT
    PARAMETERS ('LEXER stars_lexer STOPLIST stars_stop WORDLIST stars_wordlist SYNC(EVERY "SYSDATE+5/1440") TRANSACTIONAL');
    INSERT INTO my_test('1', 'English word1');
    INSERT INTO my_test('2', '违违');
    INSERT INTO my_test('3', '违违&^|违违');
    When I query:
    select * from corrosion_levels r where contains(r.CORROSION_LEVEL, '{%违${|违%}') > 0
    ID CODE
    3 违违$(|违违
    2 违违
    Actually, the result what I want is: 3 违违$(|违违
    So the requirement is that all non-alphanumeric characters should be treated as normal alphanumeric charcters. Please tell me how to implement it.

  • Aggregation level doesnt support non-cumulative kf

    hello
    IP planer generates an error "Infoobject 0AMOUNT (version A) is not compunded" when I include non-cumulative kf into aggregation level of infoprovider.
    KF ZAMOUNT is non-cumulative and depends on 0AMOUNT. Both kf are active.
    I need non-cumulative kf just for informative purposes, i dont want to plan with this kf.
    Does anyone know is it possible to use non-cumulative kf in aggregation level of multicube?

    Hi,
    no non-kumulative key figures are not supported in aggregation levels.
    But one can use a MultiProvider on the cube with the non-cumulative key figure. Create an aggregation level for the objects you want to plan and use this aggregation level also in the MultiProvider. Then you can integrate the 'plan objects' and the non-cumulative key figure in a query defined on the MultiProvider.

    Gregor
