JMenu/JMenuItem background color error.

Hi,
I have coded using Mouse Listener to highlight the JMenu/JMenuItem if mouse is brought over it.
It works fine using the entered and exited properties.
But here is were the issue crops up if I click on a JMenuItem and keeping it pressed, drag the mouse out of the JMenuItem area then the highlighted color for the selection scenario remains even if I bring the mouse back into the JMEnuItems area or for that matter even if I move it over other JMenuItems, the particular menu item over which mouse is of course highlighted but the originally selected JMenuItem (from which I dragged out and released the mouse) constantly appears highlighted.
This issue was faced only on AIX running with JDK 1.3
please advise on a solution.

I made that change to my code. It isn't throwing the error anymore, but it's also not working at all now.
The field is now defaulted red, and it has a static value of 255 - it's not changing the value when I enter numbers into the other fields like it should.
Here is my code now:
//Subtract items to get the value of the field
this.rawValue = Num.rawValue - (Sub.rawValue);
if (this.rawValue < 0) {
    this.fillColor = ("231","179","173"); //Set the color to red if value is less than zero
else {
    this.fillColor = ("255","255","255"); //Set the color back to white if value is zero or greater
If I change it to this format: this.fillColor = ("231,179,173"); then the field starts working again, but it also throws the error again.
It's so weird. It's like the program doesn't know that fillColor is supposed to have three values?

  • Skinning af|messages background color based on error type

    Hi,
    I would like to skin background color of af|messages body depending on the message type. For example, if message raised is of type "Warning", I would like the af|messages body's background color to be yellow. If message raised is "Error", then I would like the background to be orange and if the message is of type "Info", then I would like background to be green.
    I wonder if this is possible and if any has any idea on how to achieve this would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

                        g2.fillRect(0, 0, w, h);
                        g2.dispose();
                   paint(g, c);

  • How to change InputField background color using Java Code

    Hi,

    In return i will get a list of invalid cost centers which i need to display in a table with input field
    In that table all cost centers will displayed, but invalid cost centers should be highlighted or background color should some other color. like red or yellow.
    Is it possible using java code to change a input field color.
    Please help me.
    Thanks

    Hi,
        declare a error message in message pool and declare a method say "checkCostCenters " and in this method, u can check whether it is a valid cost center .. if it is invalid cost center , then throw the erro message using the below code :
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportContextAttributeMessage(
                        inputfieldattibutePointer, IMessageProgramPlanComp.ur error message,
                        new Object[] );
    for getting pointer and label use the below code:
    IWDAttributePointer inputfieldPointer = URNODEELEMENTElement
                        .getAttributePointer(URNODEELEMENT.ATTRIBUTENAME);
              String inputfieldLabel = wdContext.nodeURVALUENODE.getNodeInfo()
                        .getAttribute(URNODELEMENT.ATTRIBUTE).getSimpleType()
                        .getFieldLabel();
    hope it helps..

    In the profile name folder, Create a new folder called '''chrome''' - note the spelling
    It should be in the same place as the 'Mail' folder.

    Open Notepad
    Can be located : Start > Programs > accessories

  • How to set background color in a scene?

    I'm new to JavaFX and just started my first FX program.  I created an FX project in NetBeans 7.3 and the project runs properly.   All of the samples in the JavaFX samples download run as well.  But when I try to do something as simple as setting the background color on my first scene to black, I can't get it to work.  I find examples and documentation that tell me that what I am doing should work but it does not.
            Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250, Color.BLACK);
            scene.setFill(Color.BLACK);
            primaryStage.initStyle(StageStyle.UNDECORATED);
            primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World!");
            primaryStage.setScene(scene);
    The two bold lines are marked as errors.  Unfortunately, I can't find a way to copy the error popup text in the IDE so I'll summarize.  Both lines are giving errors that say that I gave a Color but a Paint was expected.
    Is there something I am missing? Can it be this hard to set a background color in JavaFX?
    Thanks.

    Hi. Check your imports. You probably have
    import java.awt.Color;
    instead of
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;

    Hi
    A couple of things...
    Thats SQL - not PL/SQL
    That is not a valid SQL statement, I'm surprised its not giving an error. Please post the exact region source.
    When posting code on the forum, put {noformat}{noformat} (with the curly brackets and the word code in lowercase) above and below your code like this...
    {noformat}{noformat}
    SELECT *
    FROM emp
    {noformat}{noformat}
    It will then appear like this... SELECT *
    FROM emp

  • Color error message when opening a photoshop file in Illustrator

    I have a photo of the airport, with blue sky etc.  I would like to make it all one color as a background image.  I want the background of the photo to be light orange wit the building to be darker orange.  Is there a way to do that in Illustrator?  To try out different colors foreground and background or do I have to do it in Photoshop?  How do I fill all the colors in the photo to just the two colors?  This photo is untouched.
    I also have a photo that has photoshop effects.  When I open it in Illustrator I get an error message.  It says "the document's embedded color profile does not match the current CMYK working space.  The current CMYK color management policy is to discard profiels that do not match the working space.
    I have the start of a web page in my working space.  With this photo I think I am opening it in a separate page but it won't let me.  I probably will use the untouched photo but I'm curious why its giving me the message.  My workspace should be in RGB web safe colors.  Is that why it won't let me open the CMYK photoshop file?   I guess it has non-web safe colors but my thought was to change it to all web safe colors but maybe that is way too hard in Illustrator?
    thankx,

    You can color a grayscale tiff in Illustrator by simply selecting it then selecting a color you want.
    I would think if these are two spot colors and you really want two different oranges you would want to clip the building either in
    Photoshop or Illustrator and place it on top of one another.
    I would normally say do a duo tone but that would mix the two colors.
    So this is how i would go about it in Illustrator
    1. Import the image as a grayscale tiff or import it and convert it to a grayscale by going to Edit>Edit Colors>Convert to Grayscale
    2. then select the background color.
    3. then copy the image and paste in front Command C and then Command F and select the darker orange color
    4. with the pen tool create an a path that is the shape of the building exactly. Make sure it is a closed path.
    5. then select the path and the top image the one you paste in front.
    6. then go to Object>Clipping Path>Make
    7 I would then group the two
    with this method you have to good with the pen tool, but that is true of Illustrator in general.
    now with the CMYK image it is allowing you to place it but is simply warning you of the conversion taking place.
    What you should do is select in your Photoshop and Illustrator color settings to sRGB since this is probably the space you want.
    and convert the CMYK into a RGB file which is what you should have done in the first place.
    So open it i Photoshop convert to sRGB and  replace it in Illustrator.
    All should be fine.

    Themes work in Thunderbird - duggabe was not refering to Firefox.
    Another useful addon is theme and font changer:
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/theme-font-size-changer/
    However, Thunderbird allows you to modify all sorts of things.
    Make hidden files and folders visible:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
    Help > Troubleshooting Information
    Click on 'show Folder' button
    a window opens shwoing profile folder name
    Close Thunderbird now - this is important
    In the profile name folder, Create a new folder called '''chrome''' - note the spelling
    It should be in the same place as the 'Mail' folder.
    see first image below.
    Open Notepad
    Can be located : Start > Programs > accessories
    Copy everything shown between the lines below.
    Paste into Notepad.
    Save as '''userChrome.css''' - note the spelling (edit updated - this was a typo error)
    This should be saved in the '''chrome''' folder.
    see second image below.
    Restart Thunderbird.
    I have chosen a yellow for you
    <pre>
    #f6f58c = a yellow....it is a hex code for a colour.
    </pre>
    You can change it if required. Remember when updating anything in the profile folders, you must close Thunderbird first.

    g.setBackground(Color.pink);
    g.setColor(Color.black);
    g.drawLine( 0, 0, w, h);

    this code used to save image to file
    File f = new File("E:/Program Files/MapInfo/MapXtreme-4.7.0/Tomcat-4.1/" +
    "webapps/comvik/v1.0/jsp/test.jpg");
    JimiRasterImage jrf = Jimi.createRasterImage(image.getSource());
    // this code used to save image to file
    // Jimi.putImage("image/jpeg", jrf, new FileOutputStream(f));
    Jimi.putImage("image/jpeg", jrf, response.getOutputStream());
    }catch (JimiException je) {
    je.printStackTrace();
    %>

    Thanks for your quick reply !
    I'm not sure about your code -- Graphics doesn't have
    a method called setBackground. If you want to fill
    an image with a specific color:Graphics does'n have but I believe that Graphics2D does have.
    Please check it out:
