JMS automatic Service migration - need to re-deploy ?

Hi
We re-configured the settings to use weblogic 10.3's automatic JMS service migration. (Exactly once type)(DB lease)
Even though the migration happened successfully from a managed server to another, application had to be manually redeployed (through console) so that they can re-connect to the messaging system.
In the above scenario, Is there a way to connect the applications to the messaging system without re-deploying them? Did I miss something in the settings ?
We are not considering node-managers and post-migration script as of now.
Thanks in advance,
Rao

I couldn't get whats wrong with the current settings after going through docs.
Previous settings -
1 admin server
2 managed servers
1 jmsServer1 targeted on managedServer1
persistentStore targeted on managedServer1
1 jms module containing xa connection factory and jms queues deployed on jmsServer1
Application containing mdbs deployed on cluster.
This was working fine without any issues - creating 1 mdb instance per server - so total 2 on the cluster.
Since the above settings depends on the availability of managed1, we decided to use migratable taget.
Current settings -
1 admin server
2 managed servers
1 jmsServer1 targeted on "managedServer1Migratable" (Tried both manual and exactly once type)
persistentStore targeted on "managedServer1Migratable".
1 jms module containing xa connection factory and jms queues deployed on jmsServer1
Application containing mdbs deployed on cluster.
"managedServer1Migratable" having ups as managed1 and both managed1 & managed2 in the candidate server list.
cluster migration lease set to db. active table created.
machine configured for the cluster - both the managed servers added to the same machine - since they reside on the same box.
Then start the admin, managed1 server.
Deplyments going into active with OK status once the migration succeeds.
Then start managed2 server.
Deployments go to active status with WARNING status.
".... providerUrl is null" seen while managed2 server is starting up.
Tried with unicast cluster also with same result.
Note that the error message is seen before the server goes into RUNNING state. Is there a way to delay deployment?
Tried 'start-mdb-...' option as false but did not see nay difference.
Guidance to solve this error is greatly appreciated. I am getting lost here.

  • Does jms distributed queue support automatic service migration?

As the migration document of Weblogic mentioned, the jms distributed queue can be manually migrated, but the document doesn't talk about automatic migration of jms distributed queue. Does jms distributed queue support automatic service migration? Anybody can help me? Thanks a lot.

When you look at configuring JMS, you do something like:
Create a JMS server that will contain one or more JMS destinations and will live on a particular server instance.
Next you create a JMS module and target it to a cluster. Within the module you create a distributed queue (destination).
Note that it is the JMS server which is the so-called pinned service. For pinned services you can configure migratable targets
the way you want it (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/jms/config.html#1056368)

  • JMS Server and Service Migration....!

    Hi,
I am working on Weblogic 9.1 and JMS. I was reading through the weblogic 9.1 documentation and found that it supports Server Migration and Service Migration both manually and automatically to handle failover. Is that true? Can anyone give more insight how it can be achieved in a clustered enviroment with 3 managed servers with an example if possible.
              Thanks in advance.
              kris.

Cross post your query in Weblogic JMS forum please -

As far as I know server migration should not affect the existing message's processing.

  • Weblogic Service Migration - JMS Servers and JTA

We are having 2 node managed server Custer - active- active configuration. We are planning to use Weblogic Service Migration to migrate JMS servers and JTA in case of Failure to the available node in the cluster.
===> There is a problem in node1; Due to the failure of node1, JMS servers and JTA do get migrated to Node2.
===> Problem in node 1 is resolved and is available.
===> How to revert the migrated JMS servers and JTA back to node 1?

  • Report and Alert don't executed in the error handler with a JMS proxy service

    Hi,
I'm working with OSB 11.1.1.4.0 and I'm facing a problem with the error handler of my JMS proxy service.
My error handler contains two main elements :
    - a Report action
    - an Alert with a JMS destination defined
When the business service failed the message remain in the queue. It's the expected behavior.
    The problem is :
    - the report is missing
    - the alert is raised but missing in the JMS destination defined in the Alert setting.
I've noticed if I add a Reply with Failure or Success, Report and Alert are successfully executed.
Unfortunately the message don't remain in the JMS queue.
What can I do in order to have my report/alert done and the JMS transaction rollback in order to keep the message in the queue ?
I've already met this problem in the past with alsb v3 and my solution was to add Service Callout in the error handler in order to externalize these actions.
This solution is not convenient and I hope another solution is possible.

Inventorying workgroups can be difficult, especially when it comes to remote access and network security. Because workgroups are not centrally managed, some of the items discussed in this
wiki article on preparing your workgroup environment may require you to visit each machine individually.
For non-domain credentials, you do not use the <systemname>\<user> format, you simply enter the user name. Regarding how to enter the credentials, if you have an account that uses the same username and password on all machines and is an administrator
on all of those machines, then you can enter that in the All computers credentials page of the wizard. You can also do this if they are different user names. However, if some machines have an account with the same user name, such as Administrator,
but different passwords on each machine, you will need to use the Manually enter computer names discovery method, and then enter the information for each group or each machine.
As you can tell, workgroup environments can quickly negate any benefit that the agentless inventory nature of MAP provides.

  • JMS Web Services in latest OC4J 9.0.3

Just trying out the JMS Web services in OC4J 9.0.3 just released today. Using Ant 1.5 and updated the build.xml file as directed. Using JDK 1.3.02.
Trying the JMS Web Service demo #2 based on JMS on top of Oracle AQ. Everything works fine - queues set up fine, OC4J configured nicely, and the following steps of the build work fine: clean, setup, compile, mdbjar ...

What is interesting is the WSDL and proxy appear to have been generated successfully. Even the jmsws2.ear and mdb_service2.jar files appear generated ok. But the web.xml is missing so perhaps this is where it died. Any clues as to what might be wrong ... are changes required in the config.xml file driving the WebServicesAssembly tool?
    Thanks for any help.

Went a little further ... given the assembly error seemed to occur on the last step creating the proxy.jar file, I simply skipped over it and did the deployment (changed the build.xml to continue assembly upon failure). This seemed reasonable as all the ear and war files where there; the only missing piece appeared to be the proxy.jar.
The deployment of the service was successful and I downloaded the proxy.jar file from the OC4J instance which in turn allowed me to compile the Web service client. Things were looking up here.
However, when I ran the service I got an error indicating the wrong number of arguments to the underlying queues. Given it got through to the database, I assume my configuration is set up correctly but it is a little hard to debug from here. Here is the error I got (note tried on 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 database):

  • OSB -11g - Calling JMS Proxy Service in a stage

    Hi,
When we createa JMS based proxy service, the proxy service keeps on polling the JMS Queue for any new messages arriving in the queue. But I do not want the proxy service to keep on polling the Queue. Instead I want to call the JMS Proxy Service in any stage (of any other Proxy Service) using a service callout. It means that I do not want the Queue to be polled always, instead the queue should be polled only when this JMS Proxy Service is invoked.
Is it possible to do? If so, how?
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Anuj,
    Following is my requirement:
The producer wants to interact with us using Web Services. The input payload has some more values (username and password) apart from the HL7 data (base64 encoded) itself. I have to receive the input payload, authenticate the call and convert the HL7 encoded message into an XML and send it to the consumer.
What have I done till now:
    1) I have created two Proxy Services PS1 and PS2
    2) Proxy Service (PS1) will be invoked by the producer.
    3) Then I get the username, password and data from the payload
    4) Populate the username and password in the SOAP Header and HL7 data in SOAP Body
    5) Call PS2 from PS1
    6) In PS2 I have configured Message Level Security to authenticate with the username and password
    7) After authentication I make a Java Callout to decode the base64 encoded HL7 data
    8) I now have written my own HL7 sender (Java code) which wraps the decoded HL7 data with MLLP requirements and then send it to the B2B server using a Socket (TCP connection). I do a Java Callout to this Java class.
    9) In B2B I have configured a RTP (Remote Trading Partner) which has a MLLP channel.
    10) I created a ADT message document and a ACK document
    11) I created two agreements between HTP and RTP (one agreement receives the HL7 data from the TRP using MLLP and another which sends the ACK to the RTP using MLLP channel)
    12) In the receiveing agreement I have configured a JMS channel (on the HTP side) becuase of which B2B receives the HL7 Pipe delimited data and translates it and then pushes the XML data into the JMS queue (which needs to be transformed to producer XML)
    13) I have also configured a JMS channel for the RTP which I am using in second agreement to get the acknowledgement. Because of this the ACK is placed in a JMS queue.
I need to poll this JMS queue in order to send the ACK back to the producer (which I have to do in the response pipeline of PS2). Hence I wanted to pop the message from the JMS queue in the response pipeline and then send that message.
Please advice if my approach is correct.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

  • QoS issue with OSB publish to JMS business service

    Hi,
    1. I have a http OSB proxy service which is publishing an audit message to a JMS queue through OSB business service.
MainProxyService (http) --> Publish (best-effort) --> AuditBusinessService (JMS) --> Audit Queue
    2. I want 'Publish to JMS business service' to be a non-blocking call so that proxy service message flow can continue. Transaction support is disabled in proxy service as well as in JMS connection factory.
    3. As default value of QoS (quality of service) for publish action is best-effort, ideally proxy service should continue its message flow immediately after dispatching the message to publish action and it should not block the main proxy flow.
    4. But in my case, proxy service is blocking the message flow until the message is delivered to JMS business service/JMS queue. This is degrading performance of my application.
    5. I think default 'best-effort' QoS is not working with JMS business service as there is a significant time lag between publish action and its next subsequent action.
    6. If I replace the JMS business service with HTTP business service, then it seems to be a non-blocking call and message flow immediately proceeds to next actions.
Correct me if I am going wrong anywhere or my understanding is wrong.
    Many thanks.

    HI,
    u can use Conditional Branching
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/modelingmessageflow.html#wp1061670
Split join would be used in case u need to split your request and call your Business Service in Serial/parallel & then gather resposnes from multiple callouts to have single response

  • JMS Web Service Sample (News service application)

    Hi,
The Web service client (NewsServiceProxy) invokes send() and this calls NewsQueueEJB. Where do we define NewsQueueEJB to be used as Web service? Is it in config /etc? Does the Web Services assembly tool make than happen?
    Thanks,
    Mustafa

in config.xml.., you say that the Queue with the context jms/newsQueue is exposed as web service..,this config.xml is read by webservices assembler tool to generate the required config for OC4J. But the web service engine doesnot know who reads the message that is going to be enqueued in this queue. The work of the web service engine is to only get its payload sent to it .., generate a jms message with what was given to it .., and enqueue this message to the queue specified..,it doesnot bother about who is going to dequeue this message..,and process it..
    <jms-doc-service>
    <uri>NewsService</uri>
<!-- Queue to which message has to be sent when 'send()' operation is invoked-->
    <connection-factory-resource-ref>jms/newsQueueConnectionFactory</connection-factory-resource-ref>
    <queue-resource-ref>jms/newsQueue</queue-resource-ref>
<!-- Topic from which response can be received when 'receive()' operation is invoked -->
    <reply-to-connection-factory-resource-ref>jms/newsTopicConnectionFactory</reply-to-connection-factory-resource-ref>
    <reply-to-topic-resource-ref>jms/newsTopic</reply-to-topic-resource-ref>
    </jms-doc-service>
Then , you configure that any message enqueued in jms/Queue must invoke NewsQueueEJB
The above is defined in ejb-jar.xml and orion-ejb-jar.xml

    Hi Sazli,
Try to build an executable application from the RT VI using the Build Specification and set the executable real-time application to Run On Startup. Then the executable would automatically stat up as soon as myRIO boots.

What are the settings for automatic service PO?

    Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to automatically create the PR for services. It would be similar to MD04 but instead of being for stockable materials, it would be done for non-stockable materials (services in this case).
PR would be generated monthly, because this services have to be paid every month, for example electricity, water, rent, phone bills.
I hope you can help me, thank you!

  • Problem in creating JMS business service in OSB

    Hi all
I am creating a JMS business service in osb:request /response is TEXT
It write to "*QueueSend*"-which is my URI endpoint
I have a MDB which read from "*QueueSend*" and write to "*QueueReceive*"
i have given the *"Response Endpoint*" in jms business service to point to "*QueueReceive*"
When i send the msg, it write to QueueSend and mdb writes it to QueueReceive but JMS business service doesn't read from QueueReceive,it just wait a long .......
    What is the problem??
    Thanks
    Rohan

    Hi Rohan,
Are you able to see consumers on "QueueReceive"?
If no, then your BS is not listening on this queue. Check the end-point again. Check server logs to know if any error occured while BS tried to connect with Queue. Restart your server which has this queue and then the OSB, and try again.

  • I need to restore my iphone but itunes can't connect because it locked with password. I can't input the password becasue it showing no service and needs to be restored.

I need to restore my iphone but itunes can't connect to it because of my password which I can't input becasue it has no service and needs to be restored. what can I do to restore it? Is there a way to input the password?

You will need to put the iPhone into Recovery Mode to be able to restore it in iTunes.
To put your iPod/iPhone  into recovery mode:
    1. Make sure the iPod/iPhone is connected to a computer with iTunes installed on it.
    2. Hold down the sleep/wake button(top button) and the home button at the same time until the iPod/iPhone screen goes black then shows the apple logo( usually 10-15 seconds).
    3. Once the apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding the home button.
    4. The ipod/iphone screen should show an itunes logo and usb cable if you were successful. A dialog box will appear in iTunes that states an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode has been detected if you are successful.
    5. Click ok, then click the Restore button
After that you should be up and running in no time!
I hope that this is helpful.
