1 - JMS clustering is an advanced concept, and, in most cases, uses "distributed queues". In case you haven't already, I highly recommend reading the JMS chapter of the new book "Professional Oracle WebLogic" as well as the related chapters in the JMS Programmer's Guide in the edocs.
2 - The basic problem below is that you have two different queues that have matching JNDI names, but are in the same cluster.
3 - The config snippet supplied below does not include the queue configuration. Queue configuration is embedded within the referenced module files.
4 - Please ensure that you follow configuration best practices, as per: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/e13738/best_practice.htm#CACJCGHG

  • JNDI naming exception: javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException

    Hi,
    I am running a standalone version of WLS 6.1 sp4. When I start WLS, it throws
    this exception:

    [Root exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: d_conitti]
    However, weblogic doesn't shut down after this. It continues and deploys all the
    apps. What intrigues me is, where is weblogic reading the 'd_conitti' managed

    My environment is:

    I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,

  • Publish to JMS Queue Exception

    Have a web service based proxy. In a stage in the request pipeline,
    Am using a publish action to publish to a JMS queue using a Business Service.
    The Business Service is of type "Any SOAP Service" and transport is JMS.
    To test the error scenario, Have provided an incorrect queue name in the Business Service configuration.
    During testing from the test console, I do see a connection exception in the log.
    But the flow of control continues to the next action and stage in the request pipeline and then the response pipeline.
    My expectation was that , The Error Handler would be invoked.
    Is this the correct behaviour? Is there any configuration that needs to be done? Or should I be using a service callout instead?
    Thanks
    Raghu
    Edited by: user10219846 on Jun 17, 2009 10:32 AM

    Yes, you can use Service Callout action and you will see exception raised. However, you can't use Service Callout for one-way operations (like simple message enqueuing) and that could be problem sometimes. Fortunately, you can still use Publish action to get your exception. Just use Routing Options with QoS set to "exactly once" in Request Action.
    This behaviour is well documented. You can read this:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/modelingmessageflow.html#wp1065307

  • Handlling exception: javax.naming.PartialResultException: Unprocessed Conti

    I am running the following Java Code (in an agent in Lotus Notes, hence some of the odd bits). I've searched long and hard. I know I'm getting my error because I am searching the from the base DN in AD.
    It also appears you can't get around this with referrals settings as AD doesn't support them. I having trouble with the whole global catalog thing too.
    However, my code is working and returning the field I need. I would like to handle the error and get on with things.
    Now I am not a java programmer. Is it possible to handle the error and return to the code that generated it, or am I finished with the 'try' stuff as soon as my first exception is thrown?
    Sorry if this is a stupid question.

    Hi
    You are missing some critical jar files in your class path. It should be namingclient.jar, also please or something similar that is missing in classpath.

    You've got to have the WebLogic JAR that contains the necessary .class files in your CLASSPATH when you run.
    Don't use a CLASSPATH environment variable; use the -classpath option when you run.

  • Need help to connect tibco jms queues from OSB

    Hi,
    We have a requirement in our project "to connect tibco JMS Queues from OSB".
    The Queres are created by some othes in remote system, they provided us the details to connect the Queue. the detail are:
    Queue Name :EXT_WEALTHHUB.TO_EXT.SYNC.REQ
    Jndi Factory :SSLQueueConnectionFactory
    and hostName , PORT
    Credentails are provided.
    We entered the same details in Business service in transport page by choosing 'jms' as protocol and EndpointURI as.
    "jms://100.10.XX.YY:1234/SSLQueueConnectionFactory/EXT_WEALTHHUB.TO_EXT.SYNC.REQ"
    And we created a service account to maintain the credentials and browsed the same at service account in the business service.
    In JMS Transport Page we selected
    Response Queue : One for all Request URI's
    Response Pattern : JMS CorrelaltionID
    Response UI :jms://100.10.XX.YY:1234/SSLQueueConnectionFactory/EXT_WEALTHHUB.TO_EXT.SYNC.RESP
    when we are trying to establish a connection with the above queue getting

    Hi,
    You need to change the INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY to com.evermind.server.RMIInitialContextFactory.

    Check your log for error and warning messages. If there
              are some, they should help trace down the problem. If there
              aren't any, try confirm that your MDB is deploying in
              the first place.
              The MDB below is a Q MDB, but you write below that your client
              is a "publisher". "Publisher" implies a topic producer, not
              a queue producer, and topic producer can't publish to queues.

    I am using WLS5.1 inside visualage environment. I am trying
    to run
    a Simple EJB which connects to the database and executes
    two simple

    System.out.println("home created......");
    Atm atm = home.create();
    System.out.println("atm created......");
    atm.transfer(8, 9, 100000);
    catch (NamingException ne)

    finally {

              System.out.println("Closed the connection");
         catch (Exception e) {

  • Cluster and static object.

    I have application worked in cluster. Is some possibility to propagate change in static object to all application in cluster.

    You can use application context (javax.naming.InitialContext) and bind (set), rebind (set new value), lookup (get) and unbind (remove) variables (must be serializable).
    You must corect configure RMI replication.
    Changes ist propagated acros all nodes in cluster. (but unbind don't work correct - it work only locale (bug?))

  • Solution to: javax.naming.AuthenticationException.  Root exception is java.lang.SecurityException: attempting to add an object which is not an instance of java.security.Principal to a Subject's Principal Set

    Hello world,
    To anybody who receives this irritating error in a Java client
    application attempting to access Weblogic Server 6.1 (and possibly
    weblogic server 6):
    javax.naming.AuthenticationException. Root exception is
    java.lang.SecurityException: attempting to add an object which is not
    an instance of java.security.Principal to a Subject's Principal Set
    The cause of your problem is having JAAS explicitly in your classpath.
    It somehow messes up authentication to WebLogic. Remove it and your
    problem will disappear.
    The complete exception was:
    javax.naming.AuthenticationException. Root exception is
    java.lang.SecurityException: attempting to add an object which is not
    an instance of java.security.Principal to a Subject's Principal Set

    I also had to remove Sun's j2ee (version 1.2) from my client's classpath before
