JMS Consume message array

Hello everybody,
I'm using Oracle SOA Suite 11. I have some transactions and create an object like
<data>
<id>1</id>
<value>aa</value>
<a>aa</a>
</data>
I put many of these object to JMS Queue.
In another process I want to take set of these objects from queue and put these data to db. I don't want to take one by one. How can I consume set of these objects from JMS Queue ?
Thanks,
Best Regards,

Hi,
Can be done with Oracle AQ and Websphere MQ but not with standard JMS as far as I know...
Receiving messages in a WebSphere MQ message group

Oracle Streams AQ Operations

There is also message groups for Apache Active MQ (Free?), but not sure if covers what you need...

Please let me know if this was helpful...

  • Is there a way to control the number of consumed messages from JMS?

    Hi everyone,
I have a BPEL process that is consumes messages from a foreign queue, performs a transformation, and passes it to Oracle Apps. I'm curious if there is a way to control the number of messages consumed at a time for processing.
For example, if we place 50 transactions on this queue, I would like to only consume 10. And then as each one is processed and passed to Oracle Apps, I would like to pull another transaction off the queue. So basically I would only be processing 10 at the most.
The issue I am having is we put 50 on the queue and the 50 are take off right away. But then half are making it into Oracle Apps and the remainder is failing with a JCA Connection Factory max connection error.
Instead of changing the settings to get more through, I am wondering if it's possible to limit the number being processes at any one time.
    Thanks

  • How can a JMS adapter be configured in BPEL to consume messages from multiple queues ?

How can a JMS adapter be configured in BPEL to consume messages from multiple queues ?

If you want to use JMS with AQ as datastore then there is some configuration you need to do to enable this. This is outside SOA Suite per sa, e.g. no adapter required.
If you want to connect to the AQ direct then use the AQ adapter.
this blog may be of some help understand the configuration

  • How to pick(or consume) messages from Woblogic JMS Queue only when DB is UP

    Hi,
I have a requirement to pick(or consume) messages from Woblogic JMS Queue only when DB is UP.
When DB is down, messages should remain in queue. When DB is up, messaged should be picked on scheduler basis.
We are using SOA suite 11g(BPEL or mediator,JMS Adapter).
What is the best way to achive it in SOA 11g.
I tried, but when I setup a Consumer, there is no control over there. Messages are picked automatically.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ram

    something wrong with the design.
why dont you set the retry options in the fault policies?
So if the external DB is down you could reprocess them after specified interval or make it go to human retry queue.
Then you could use SOA api to retry all of them.

  • Can BPEL retry consuming message from JMS Q Infinite times after rollback?

    Hi Guys,
I have a scenario where a simple BPEL 11g with a throw consumes messages from a JMS queue.
If some error occurs the message would be rolled back to JMS queue.
I want to configure the BPEL in such a way that the BPEL would retry to consume the rolled back message again and again regardless of how many times it is getting rolled back.
    please suggest some solutions.
    Thanks in Advance...

To get rollbacks to sucessfully put messages back on a queue we:
    1. Ensure the BPEL component in composite.xml has the following properties set:
    <property name="bpel.config.transaction">required</property>
    <property name="bpel.config.oneWayDeliveryPolicy">sync</property>
    2. Use ASync fault policy
    <property name="oracle.composite.faultPolicyFile">oramds:/apps/AIAMetaData/faultPolicies/IC/ASync/V1/fault-policies.xml</property>
    <property name="oracle.composite.faultBindingFile">oramds:/apps/AIAMetaData/faultPolicies/IC/ASync/V1/fault-bindings.xml</property>
These are custom fault policies we have that simply rethrows the fault (I can send them to you if required)
The problem is that you will fire your server into an endless loop and not have any control over the process. Many kinds of error will cause the loop not just the one you want. I can imagine SOA server will hang, or run out of memory then you will reboot it and it will just hang again.
You may have a resubmit delay of 5 mins but if you have 300 messages in the queue that is still one try every second. I can imagine your server falling over.
Automatic re-submission is possible but I would suggest going for a design that gives you a little more control over the process. Having error messages go into an error queue and an automatic re-submission process might be a good idea. You could then control the process. e.g. Try one of the messages every 5 mins and if that works put the entire contents of the error queue back into the main queue.

  • How to consume message from other vendor??

    Hello,

  • Any example for ENQUEUE_ARRAY for JMS compatible messages?

Is there any examples of using ENQUEUE_ARRAY with messages that are compatible with JMS? either a VARRAY or NESTED TABLE of JMS content?
I have an after insert trigger that propagates to JMS and in the for each row loop I'd much rather enqueue as a batch than for each individual message.
It's hard enough getting JMS compatible content working where you are enqueuing just a single message but just what's involved to get this working with batches of JMS compatible messages?

    Hi prajithparan,
Thanks for the response. I already looked at the link and a few other links in this forum that are related to array inserts/updates. However, I could not find answers to my specific questions. I am specifically concerned with the setup of parameters to the API calls (OCIBindByName and OCIBindArrayOfStruct) that fully reflects the two-dimensional nature of the array of structs that I am trying to insert.
Moreover, I need to set the data type of the columns to be inserted as SQLT_STR. I think this data type requires the programmer to supply the length of the null terminated C strings as well. If we are inserting just one column, we can provide the length of each of the strings to be inserted into a VARCHAR2 column as part of a OCIBind call, for each of those columns.
Since in an array insert, we are supplying multiple rows at the same time, how do we supply the lengths of strings to be inserted ? Should it be some form of two-dimensional array ?
I could not get clear answers to these questions from either the Oracle documentation or the links on this forum. May be the answers are there and I am just missing them ?

  • Asynchronous jms consumer

    Hi all
I want to create an asynchronous jms consumer.
The problem is that i do not want create a message driven bean.
I have a session bean that dynamically read from data base the name of the queue listened.
So i wonder if exists a way for implementing a asynchronous jms consumer.
    Please help!!!

Yes there is - it's called a Listener and needs to run in a separate thread. If you're already using EJB why don't you want to use MDBs?

  • Consuming messages using Java

    Hi,
I am using BlazeDS running in Tomcat 6.0.16. The Flex client components are written using Flex 3. I have a messaging destination set up and the Flex producers and consumers are working fine. I am able to push messages from the server top the clients using the MessageBroker.routeMessageToService method.
How can I read/consume messages using Java in the server? I haven't been able to find any documentation or examples on how to do this. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated ... Thanks!

  • JMS Server Message Buffer Size & Thresholds and Quotas settings

    On WLS10MP1,
    For persistent messages:
1.Does "JMS Server Message Buffer" setting serve the same purpose as "Bytes Threshold High" under Threshold ?
2.If no, can someone explain the difference pls.
    Many thanx,

Message Buffer Size relates to the number of message the JMS server keeps in the memory. The value of this determines when the server should start paging the message out of memory to a persistence store. So this is directly related with the memory/storage issue and the size of messages.
Bytes Threshold High relates to the performance of the JMS server. When this limit is reached JMS server starts logging the message and may even instruct he producer to slow down the message input.
So the if you get Bytes Threshold High messages that means you should check on your consumer (MDB who is picking up messages from the que), and try to increase its performance.
However if your Message Buffer Size is crossing limits then you should think of increasing the momory so that more messages can be kept in memory and disck IO can be reduce.
Anyone wants to add something more to it?

  • Read JMS Map message in BPEL

  • Receive activity pending when trying to consume message from Queue

    Hi ,
I'm using a BPEL process to publish and subscribe message into a queue using JMS adapter. The messages in Queue are produced and consumed properly . But the BPEL process is still running, with a receive activity used to consume that queue, in pending state. The schema used throughout the BPEL and JMS adapter are the same.
    Edited by: user13829970 on May 8, 2012 2:07 AM

Make sure you use the same schema and same queue name while configuring the Producer JMS Adapter and also the Consumer JMS Adapter
And in the JMS Consumer Composite, define the interface of the BPEL based on the WSDL of the JMS Adapter (service) and then wire the BPEL and the JMS Adapter. Make sure under the receive activity, the create instance checkbox is checked.
    Hope this helps

  • PI 7.0 SP15 alerts JMS Duplicate message error

    Hi all,
We have a scenario where in we  receive BAPI calls to R/3 from web through MQ and XI.
WEB -> MQ->XI->R/3 (Request / Response send back similarly)
We have modular configuration in the channel.
All these BAPI messages are queries needed to build an order for example product information / customer information etc.
    We have PI 7.0 SP15
Sometimes we receive the error ' Duplicate JMS message with JMS ID##### detected.Duplicate will be ignored' in the sender JMS channel.Because of this error XI is not able to process subsequent messages and the channel keeps on throwing the same error. We need to clear the queue and then restart the channel to make it work.
Can any one please tell me what is the reason for occurence of this error..?
Is this ID generated in JMS or in XI?If so how this could be handled without clearing the queue's..?
When we analyzed the messages in the queue we found out same xml messages been send twice which i would imagine the query been send twice(which is a possiblity from the web) would that have caused this JMS duplcate message error??!!
Also because of this error XI is throwing multiple alert messages at the rate of 3 per second which is causing the huge performance hit as the alert inbox gets filled up..We did put the suppress multiple alert check..but before somebody reacts to these alerts there are numerous of them created..any suggestions on this is much appreciated..
Thanks for your help in advance
    Larry

    Larry,
Is that alert rule is generic or interface specific? If it is generic then please make it interface specific.
    Thanks,
