JNI and package information
Hello guys,
I have created a JNI program.
There is C++ shared Library.
I'm working with Sun Solaris 2.5 and Java.1.3
When I run my program in the same package, there is no problem.
But when I create a package where I find my JNI program, it doesn't run correctly and he says me:
UnsatisfaiedLinkError: createInstance not found
But my native method exist.
example:
in a package A for the main:
import B.*;
import java.lang.*;
class toto {
public toto()
tata cl = new tata();
tata.createInstance();
static void main(String[] args)
toto tt = new toto();
in another package B
package B;
import java.lang.*;
class tata {
tata()
public native void createInstance();
static {
System.loadLibrary(tatalib);
There is an error with this version.
The version with no "package B;", no "import B.*;" and all the code in the same directory is good.
What is the problem ????
Thanks
In your C part, you have to specify the package name in which your Java class is running.
For example:
JNIEXPORT .... Java_a_createInstance(JNIEnv *, jobject ... )
Try that. That was my solution to something similar.

App-V 5.0 Reporting Application and Package Information Not Available
I have SQL Reporting Services set up and Excel and am able to interrogate AppVReporting DB using both. The problem is the Application and Packaging DBs do not appear to be populating.
The Client information definitely is and I can see it is updating correctly as it is showing the PCs that have been upgraded to HF4. The other two are empty. The reports run fine just with no content in them.
There is nothing obvious in the Client-Reporting debug log on the client. If I manually do the Send- PS command I get a confirmation it has uploaded successfully. What I can't get is why one part of it appears to be updating correctly but not another but
there is no separation anywhere that would explain it.
I am guessing that it may be something to with a permission issue but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. The only other thing I think a little bit strange when looking through the client settings is Reporting is enabled when I check
in Powershell but if I go through regedit and look at the App-V 5.0 client reporting settings Reporting Enabled =0. May be a red herring but just thought I would include if it rings any bells for anyone.Hello,
There is a stored procedure that processes the sent information. According to Microsoft it is scheduled to run at 00:00 everyday

How is the 'import-packages' information saved in the database, and how long?
Hello,
I am developping a ECM Connector for Adobe LiveCycle ES, which is a customized component.
1 - Who should I contact to have some specific support ?
There is no detailed information yet on this on the adobe site (http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/w whelp.htm?href=000931.html&accessible=true) .
If you think that I should address my problem to another department of Adobe, please tell me which department?
I give you another description of my problem. In fact, I have been investigating on it.
2 - If I put this in my component.xml file, in step 1:
<component-id>com.rsd.adobe.livecycle.RSDFoldersConnector</component-id>
<version>1.0</version>
<import-packages><package version="1.0">com.rsd.simpleApiFolders</package> </import-packages>
If I change the version to 1.1 and remove the 'import-packages' (in step 2) , will the new component need the com.rsd.simpleApiFolders package. It seems that is still needs it.
3 - How is the 'import-packages' information saved in the database, and how long?
In fact, on thursday, I used 'import-packages' to make a test. And since them, I can not deploy any of my components.
LiveCycle throws a ClassNotFoundException.

Regards.1 - Who should I contact to have some specific support ?
That would depend on your Adobe support contract and if your organization has a TAM assigned. You should check with your organization's Adobe contact and see what support options your organization has purchased.
Having said that, this forum has a few people that may be able to help (but the forum does not have a SLA associated with it)
2 - If I put this in my component.xml file, in step 1:
<component-id>com.rsd.adobe.livecycle.RSDFoldersConnector</component-id>
<version>1.0</version>
<import-packages><package version="1.0">com.rsd.simpleApiFolders</package> </import-packages>
If I change the version to 1.1 and remove the 'import-packages' (in step 2) , will the new component need the com.rsd.simpleApiFolders package. It seems that is still needs it.If your component class needs the simpleApiFolders class then yes, you still need it. Think of import-packages like a class-path statement (but with packages and not jars). Its not physically moving the package into your application, but allowing you to access it from another container.
3 - How is the 'import-packages' information saved in the database, and how long?
As far as I know they are not imported into the database. As I stated above, I believe that the import-packages just allows you to point to classes that are in the app server's classpath, but are not physically in you component jar file. As long as that class is in the app server class-path (or in the Adobe EAR file) then you should be able to access it. Is the jar file containing the simpleApiFolders class in the app server's lib directory? -
Where can i download ACR120U.jar for acs.jni.* package?
Hi Friends..
Sorry before perhaps this question is a little bit silly, but i didn't found link/website where i can download ACR120U.jar for acs.jni.* package..
Do you know where i can download it?..
Thanks in advance..Hi,
I've just installed 10g DB Release 2 (for Linux)
and now I want to explore the Decision Trees feature
of Data Mining (as in the presentation of Robert A.
Habertroh in OTN). However when I use Data Miner
connect to this new DB, it said "Cannot connect to
ODM server". There is no directory odm under my
$ORACLE_HOME.
BTW: I download the from odmapi.jar
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/odm/odmi
ner.html, but now it said there is odmapi.jar for
10.1.0.4.0 only. If I use this Data Miner to 10gR1 is
OK.Hi Mark,
Thanks for the promptly reply.
I want to test the new features of ODM 10.2 as a "proof-of-concept" project. So could you inform when this will be available in OTN ?
Thx -
JVM Crash When Using JNI and COM
I'm trying to call a DLL compiled from VB6 source code that I do not have access to. The VB6 code simply retrieves data from a DB2 database using ADO and my client code grabs that data and marshals it to my Java code. I'm attempting to achieve this using JNI and COM (without a third-party bridge). It works 75% of the time, but the other 25% of the time, the JVM crashes with the usual Hotspot crash log containing an access violation exception. However, I don't know what in my C++ code (VC++ 8) could be causing this except for passing a "wild" pointer to the code lying underneath the COM object interface. If that is the case, I don't know how I am doing that.
The Java code that is calling my native method is running on Tomcat 5.5.25 and just to be safe, I am not allowing multiple threads to concurrently call the method in my JNI DLL (though I realize that this will kill performance). Once I can get past this problem, I'll do the COM interfacing on a worker thread in my native code so I don't screw up CoInitialize and CoUninitialize calls in the case the same thread is concurrently executing multiple calls to my native code.
I've noticed that in most cases, the JVM crashes during my call to the pClsAccount->OpenConnection method. However, my DLL isn't what is listed on the top of the call stack, which is why I suspect the passing of a wild pointer, though I'm just taking a guess at that. Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on ?

Is there any field on waste packaging information in MM03
Please help me in finding any field on waste packaging information in MM03. If it is there please let me know in which view we can find it, if not let me know where else i can find information on Waste packaging.
Hi Vinod,
If i got you right, you need the information on Packing material in material master, if this is the case then go to
Material Master - Basic data1- Packaging Material Data here you get to see
1) )Material group packing material - here grouping of materials which require same kind of packing is done.
2) Reference material for material packing - here material number is given which is to be packed with the similar packing and there should be a material master record for the reference material.
3) Product composition - if you check ithis tab then composition gets printed on packing
For example - say you have two material X(glass bottles) and y( glass jars) since these two are one of a kind they require same kind of packing.
hope this will help you
Thanks

The java.lang.Package class contains some version information, that sounds interesting.
Now, how can I give my jar-archive an implementation version, that can be retrieved by the Package class?http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/guide/jar/jar.html
On this page I saw "...attributes defined for extension and package versioning and sealing information..."
They provided attributes such as

Available APIs for process and package management
Hello All and welcome to my Hello All:
Welcome to my inaugural post. I am a complete noob to Solaris (although I have been using Linux for 5+ years) and am in the process of trying to get a handle on what local C/C++ APIs (if any) are available for management. Specifically, I am looking to find out about process and package management.
For process management, basically I would like to know is there some kind of interface to the the prstat application (ie. Memory and CPU utilization). Does something like this exist?
For package management, I am looking for the ability to add, remove, and query the package database. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Solaris package database seems similar to that of a Debian system (at least from the perspective that the informational files are stored as plain text in a well-defined directory [ie /var/sadm/pkg/]).
I have installed Solaris 10 on an x86 machine with a full installation; however, of the installed development kits (listed below) nothing jumped out at me.
-bash-3.00# ls -1d /var/sadm/pkg/*devel

I've placed orders for Solaris Internals and Solaris Performance & Tuning (that should arrive tomorrow), but I was hoping that someone could give me a gentle push (or perhaps a swift kick) in a general direction. :)
Thanks.For process management, basically I would like to

prstat application (ie. Memory and CPU utilization).
Does something like this exist?Not prstat (although you could 'truss' it and see some of what it's doing to collect the information). kstat is available with a C interface and through perl/shell. It has several CPU fields. It's certainly useful for monitoring, but read-only. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of "management".
Also 'dtrace' can provide tons of dynamic information, but that's not necessarily what you're looking for.
For package management, I am looking for the ability
to add, remove, and query the package database.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the Solaris package
database seems similar to that of a Debian system
(at least from the perspective that the
informational files are stored as plain text in a
well-defined directory [ie /var/sadm/pkg/]).Yes, although it's based on the SysV packaging system. I don't believe there's any API for it outside of the 'pkg*' utilities.

How to query DDL locks on stored procedures/functions and packages?
Hi!
The subject says it all: How do I see existing DDL locks on stored procedures/functions and packages?
While a procedure is executed it can't be deleted or replaced, so there has to be a DDL lock on it. The information does not seem to be in V$LOCK or V$LOCKED_OBJECTS.
Thanks!
Marcus
Edited by: MMarcus on Nov 21, 2009 3:43 PMHello,
Here you can find an article about the view DBA_DDL_LOCKS:
[http://www.praetoriate.com/int_40.htm]
If you don't have this view on the Data Dictionary, you may have
to execute the "OH/rdbms/admin/catblock.sql" script first.
Hope it can help.

Sorry, something's gone wrong. Could not get credit and pack information.
Every time I log in I see this message Sorry, something's gone wrong. Could not get credit and pack information. I have been to an EE store and they couldn't do anything there. So I called the costumers service and after 30 min on the telephone they told me the problem was fixed and I should just wait 24 hours before log in again. Today is been more than 48 hours and I still have this problem. I can't buy packages but I can pop up. How can I fix this problem?

Sorry to hear you are all having a problem.

Kernel parameter settings ,OS patches and packages
Hello,
We are going to install 11.2.0.3 on Oracle Solaris 11(Sparc 64bit).
There is no kernel settings information for solaris 11 in installation guide.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24346/pre_install.htm#CIHFICFD
Can we use the same solaris 10 kernel settings to solaris 11 ?
Also want to know the OS patches and packages for solaris 11.
Thank you,

Listing Employee Education and Language Information.
I'm writing a web application that uses PS to modify employee information, specifically their education and language information.
Basically, I'm using a JpmPersonProfile object to get a JpmPersonProfileJpmJpCatTypeJpmJpCritmVwCollection object. Unless I'm mistaken, this is a collection of items in the JpmJpCatType table that the employee has. From here, I get a handle on either the Education or Language items in that list. This is where my problems come in.
Education List:
The education object that I get is a collection of items where each item corresponds to a degree. So this collection is a list of degrees the employee has achieved. The only problem is when the employee has 2 degree accomplishments with the same degree. (For example BS in Math and BS in Econ). To get these, I need to make the following call: educationCollection.item(i).getJpmJpItems(). Where 'i' is the index in the educationCollection where JpmCatItemId = 'BS'. Then I get the list of education accomplishments where the degree is BS. If I try to delete an item in this list, lets say the Econ degree, I would do something like this: educationCollection.item(i).getJpmJpItems.deleteItem(j). (Again, where i is the index for degree's with CatItemId = 'BS' and j is the index in the JpmJpItems list where major = 'Econ')
I'm getting an error saying "Cannot change current or history records unless in Correction mode. (15,1)" I don't understand why I can't delete individual items in the JpmJpItems table but I can delete entire degree lists. (I CAN do something like educationCollection.deleteItem(i), but this will delete every degree in that list. If 'i' corresponded to the BS degree list, then both Math and Econ accomplishments would be deleted) Does anyone know why this is?
Language:
My language issue is much more simple. I need to locate the database that holds information such as the employee's fluency in speaking, reading and writing the language. Also their ability to translate that language. I thought this information would be in the JpmJpItems table (since all of the education info is in there), but I can't seem to find a column representing that information.
Thanks,
-TimHi
Check T code SMLT and if u have that package u can change the required language.
Kindly check and revert.
