JNI call exception via jvalue?

Hi all,
I am writing a C method that needs to instantialize a Java Exception Object defined below by JNI.
public class LibraryException extends Exception {
    public LibraryException(String message, int errorCode) {
          super();
          detailMessage = message;
          this.errorCode = errorCode;
}And the c code is similar to the following. I am using
NewObjectA with jvalue* to create a new LibraryException object and then call Throw from env. But I don't know how to pass the char* exception and int err_num to jvalue which is used in NewObjectA() method.
Note, here the char* exception is "LibraryException" pass-in from other methods.
jboolean libraryError( JNIEnv *env, char* exception, int err_num ) {
     ex = (*env)->NewObjectA ( env, jc, jm, (jvalue *)args );
     rval = (*env)->Throw(env, ex );
        return JNI_TRUE;
}Here the main problem is that exception is a string of characters (char*), so how to mix these characters with int value of error code for jvalue*?
Can any one show me how?

And why not just use NewObject?
I would guess that args is an array. You would have to create an array with a jstring and a jint in it.
