Jobs timings has changed in oracle 9i

In our database we are having 3 jobs scheduled using dbms_jobs, but every 3 or 4 days once these jobs timing are changing,can any body help me out why this is being happening.
i scheduled the jobs using below script
DECLARE
X NUMBER;
BEGIN
SYS.DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
( job => X
,what => 'GPS_DATA;'
,next_date => TO_DATE('23/10/2008 06:30:00','dd/mm/yyyy hh24:mi:ss')
,INTERVAL => 'sysdate+1'
,no_parse => TRUE
END;
like this i scheduled and it should execute every day at 6:30AM, but every few days the next and last timing are showing 9:20AM some times another timing..
and i checked once that when the database is bounced then all the jobs are started at database startup time..i dont know y this is happening
help me out to solve this one...
thanks a lot
.

If a job is scheduled to run at 06:30am and the INTERVAL is 'sysdate+1'
AND
the database is shutdown between 06:00 and 09:00 on Monday morning
At startup (at 09:00), Oracle finds that a job that was supposed to have run at 06:30 hasn't run yet. It begins running the job now -- ie 09:00 or 09:01.
When the job finished, the INTERVAL being 'sysdate+1' sets the Next schedule time to be 09:00 of Tuesday morning !!
It is behaving as expected and designed !
If you are on 10g, you can move to using dbms_scheduler.
If you are still using dbms_job, you'd have to modify the INTERVAL specification such that it always starts from a specific time --- eg 'trunc(sysdate) + 13/24' will always be the 6:30am of tomorrow irrespective of whether the current sysdate is 06:30am or 09:00am !
However, as for the first run of the job after startup at 09:00 -- you could build some additional scripting to disable jobs from running at this time or reschedule them or allow them to run -- depending on whether you can afford to not have the 06:30am run of Monday at all or whether it is very important to run, even if at 09:00 !

  • JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

    Hi,
    I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
    To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
    a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
        BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
         OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
        Object result = operationBinding.execute();
       if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty())
        return null;
    b. Marked 'Refresh on Insert' , 'Refresh on Update', 'Change Indicator' checkboxes for all the attributes in the entities associated with efttBilling View Object.
    c. Tried to Requery View Object. Created a refreshViewObject method in Application Module Impl.java file, exposed this method to the client interface and created a invokeMethod Action binding in home.jspx
    Code in Application Module:
      public void refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View()
        System.out.println("In eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1");
      findViewObject("eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1").executeQuery();
    Code in view scope bean
            DCBindingContainer bindings =
           (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
            OperationBinding operation =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View");
            operation.execute();
    I have searched web, ADF forums and tried methods suggested in there but no sucess.
    Could anyone please provide some insight in this issue. I have been battling with this since quite some time. I can provide you with the log file too.
    Thanks!
    Shai.

    What code does your Commit method have .. can you try using the Commit executable from the AM itself instead ?

    which all attributes you set this property for . it should just be for History columns as such.
    Did you also check if this could be your scenario ?

    Error:  ORA 1466
    Text:   unable to read data -- object definition has changed
    Cause:  This is a time-based read consistency error for a database object,
            such as a table or index.
            Either of the following may have happened:
            The query was parsed and executed with a snapshot older than the time
            the object was changed.
            The creation time-stamp of the object is greater than the current
            system time.
            This happens, for example, when the system time is set to a time
            earlier than the creation time of the object.
    Action: If the cause is
            an old snapshot, then commit or rollback the transaction and resume
            work.
            a creation time-stamp in the future, ensure the system time is set

  • How to find who has changed SQL Server Agent 'Job History' settings.

    Hi all,
    I was searching from couple of days to know is there a way to find out who has changed the SQl agent property settings.
    Like if someone unchecks the SQL Agent History settings how i can find who has done that change?
    I searched for trace flags but there is nothing related to it, i searched for system tables and views of msdb but nothing which can give this information, even didn't find any audit setting that can monitor these activities.
    My sql version is SQL Server 2008. Please throw your ides on how to track the sql agent history setting changes!!!
    Thanks In Advance!!!!

    Hi,
    You might be able to AUDIT the execute on that SP but its not giving exactly what has been changed... i guess you are getting what i am looking for...
    whatever the property might be changed it only shows the sp name thats it.... but not the exact sql statement executed on background

    First of all: It's not about me, it's about you. And it's not a might, its a given fact. I

    So please first clear up, what you really need.
    Third: instead of Auditing I already gave the advise to use Tracing (be it SQLTrace or Extended Events). Both will give you the exact statement. SQLTrace may be easier on SQL2008
    Please try all of the provided first before doing guesswork.

  • Change in Oracle Parameters and Log file size

    Hello All,
    We have scheduled DB Check job and the log file showed few errors and warnings in the oracle parameter that needs to be corrected. We have also gone through the SAP Note #830576 – Oracle Parameter Configuration to change these parameters accordingly. However we need few clarifications on the same.
    1.Can we change these parameters directly in init<SID>.ora file or only in SP file. If yes can we edit the same and change it or do we need to change it using BR tools.
    2.We have tried to change few parameters using DB26 tcode. But it prompts for maintaining the connection variables in DBCO tcode. We try to make change only in default database but it prompts for connection variables.
    Also we get check point error. As per note 309526 can we create the new log file with 100MB size and drop the existing one. Or are there any other considerations that we need to follow for the size of log file and creating new log file. Kindly advise on this. Our Environment is as follows.
    OS: Windows 2003 Server
    DB: Oracle 10g
    regards,
    Madhu

    Hi,
    Madhu, We can change oracle parameters at both the levels that is init<SID> as well as SPFILE level.
    1. If you do the changes at init<SID> level then you have to generate the SPFILE  again and then database has to be restarted for the parameters to take effect.
        If you make the changes in SPFILE then the parameters will take effect depending on the parameter type whether it is dynamic or static. You also need to generate the PFILE i.e init<SID>.ora
    2. If possible do not change the oracle parameters using the tcode. I would say it would be better if you do it via the database and it would be much easier.
    3. Well its always good to have a larger redo log size. But only one thing to keep in mind is that once you change the size of the redolog the size of the archive log also changes although the number of files will decrease.
    Apart from that there wont be any issues.

  • Job timings

    Hi,
    One of the job timings in my oracle database is set as follows and it runs at 1:30 AM.
    SELECT TRUNC(SYSDATE+1)+ 1.5/24 FROM dual
    I need to change the job timing to 10 PM daily.
    I tried some changes but Im not able to get the 10 PM.
    For instance ,
    SELECT TRUNC(SYSDATE+1)+ 1/24 FROM dual
    sets 1:00 AM as run time.
    SELECT TRUNC(SYSDATE+1)+ 1/12 FROM dual
    sets 2:00 AM as run time.
    What is the value I should give for the job to run at 10 PM?
    Thanks!!!

    I always constantly use the '24 hours notation' to calculate date/time stuff (and 60 seconds and 60 minutes) when needed, regardless of the format (AM/PM or 24hrs notation).
    For 12 hours you could just divide (11 = 22/2, 12=24/2) :
    SQL> SELECT TRUNC(SYSDATE+1)+ 11/12 FROM dual;
    TRUNC(SY
    22:00:00
    1 row selected.
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'hh:mi:ss AM';
    Session altered.
    SQL> SELECT TRUNC(SYSDATE+1)+ 11/12 FROM dual;
    TRUNC(SYSDA
    10:00:00 PM
    1 row selected.
    15 years back..:(Oh well, that's a while back, isn't it? Can't recall lots of stuff I've learned back in those days as well. ;)

  • SPEL? make REASON field required if user has changed the value in SALARY

    I have a requirement to make REASON field required if user has changed the value in SALARY field. Is it possible using spel? what are my options?

    Karan,
    You can change the Rendered Property through personalization.
    But in your requirement you need to attach the Spell through personalization & extend the existing CO to set the value of the SPELL based upon the condition.
    Note - Refer this thread http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2176729&tstart=0. If you have worked on SSHRParams kindly help the user.

  • Knowing when an item value has changed

    Hello
    If you have a item in a form - :P1_fred which is a database columm fred
    The database table conrtaining fred columm is read and updated by
    1) Automated Row Fetch
    2) Automatic Row Processing
    This works fine
    I need to add a condition based if the valve of :P1_fred has changed.
    My currect way at the monument is to record the value after the Automated Row Fetch to :p1_fred1
    Then compair :P1_fred to :P1_fred1 and before the coniition before Automatic Row Processing
    Whiile this works, is there a simple way of doing this?
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi Pete,
    I never do "By Reference" (or OUT) for parameters - I tend to create functions instead of procedures and do:
    SELECT check_file_one(:new.key) into status1 FROM DUAL;or something similar.
    From what I can see of the create procedure guide, you can use as many OUT parameters as you like: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_6009.htm#sthref7098
    The only time I've seen anything similar is when one process has terminated and cleared out the variables. But this was when I'd have / or GO in the procedure itself.
    What happens if you create a second variable for status1 (say, status1copy) and set this as "status1copy := status1" immediately before the second procedure call - does status1copy retain its value?

  • 15 concurrent users and JBO-35007 row currency has changed

    Hi!
    Something for the weekend :)
    I have an ADF/BC 10.1.3.3. application on 10.1.3.3. Oracle AS. I use a jazn security with users and roles stored in database tables. While testing with one or two users I never ran into the same problem as we had this week when testing with 15 users. I have an entity and VO with a whole attributes that are edited in a couple of jspx pages that composed with process train control. There are also a couple of detail data edited on this page. I'm using ProcessScope quite a lot to pass some information between the pages.
    Well, to get to the point: when testing with 15 users we had A LOT of JBO-35007 row currency has changed since the user interface was rendered errors in this process. Every user was editing it's own data row. The error appeared every time a user left the application inactive for a couple of seconds, entered some data and clicked commit. I'm not aware of the security settings of the browser on the testing computers and I can't get them now to see if something like this could be the problem.
    When I checked the log files, there are a lot of errors or warnings in them. I'll try to sum the ones that might be important for this issue. These errors appear a lot's of times in these log files that is why I'm assuming some of these are connected to my issue.

    The problem is I can't reproduce this behaviour any more in my environment. If someone could maybe point me to the errors that are important and could be the cause of this errors. Could this be an internet browser security settings issue? What about those errors about aborted connections?
    If you can't provide me an answer (which I know it would be very difficult by the information provided), maybe you could explain the cause of some of the errors described above?
    I'd appreciate any tips on this since I don't have e an idea how and where to start to at least reproduce and find out the cause of this. Than I'll worry about the solution :).
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same issue JBO-30019: An unavailable cookie state is detected while attempting to use a cookie from application {0}, session {1}.
    Is there anyone who has been able to reproduce this. If yes can you please update the following bug which is logged for the issue: [9507310|https://bug.oraclecorp.com/pls/bug/webbug_edit.edit_info_top?report_title=&rptno=9507310&query_id=814000&rptno_count=1&pos=1]
    It will be of much help.
    I have found the following page referring the problem: page, if this helps.
    Please update.

  • How can I audit what has changed in a document in SharePoint?

    Hello everybody
    I need to audit the changes in all documents of my SharePoint server. That is, who has changed what, in a document such as an excel file. I need to know who has changed the file and what changes he has done to the file. How can I audit this kind of information?
    Is it possible to audit this kind of information through SharePoint? If not, is it possible to do this job with the Excel it self, that it distinguish the changes made by the members (for example highlight the cells with different colours for different users)?
    Thank you

    Hi ,
    As Margriet points, we can open different version  items and check what are changed after enabling list/library version history.
