JPA on 10.1.3 SOA servers

Hi All,
We wrote a JPA Entity Manager and Entity Factory using Top Link as entity manager and wrapped with web service for one of our application.
1) User invoke our web service, this web service internally invoke JPA to persistence data as mentioned above
2) This web service works fine in cluster and non cluster environment
3) However due to security requirements we need wrap this with OWSM server agent(X509 signature verification) where we need run OWSM running different JVM. Once we enable OWSM Server Agent we are getting persistence manger -- it is not instantiating Entity Manager when we invoke web service from Client. Any help is grating appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Frank,
Well it gives me no error at all, just keeps looping over and over again trying to test the connection.
I know the BPEL Connection is different, however when you create the Integration Server connection with the wizard, it asks you for an Application Server connection.
I can telnet the opmn port and all, there is nothing on the network compromising my access to the Application Server instance.
I'm even able to deploy BPEL processes to the instance, just find it odd that I cannot connect to Application Server via OPMN...
I'm instaling another development instance today, I'll check if I get the same error.
Thanks

  • Don't have a server in SOA servers list when trying to deploy app

    Hi,
I am on JDev 11.1.1.6, MDS created in 11.2.0 server.
Trying to deploy a simple test composite into the app server installed with JDeveloper.
I don't see any 'SOA servers' in the list.
Admin server is up and running, so is the managed one, node manager looks fine, not using proxy in JDev preferenxes, the Application server connection status is tested fine.
I saw quite a few postings on the same issue but so far didn't come to any that would give a solution which will work for my case. Any feeedback is very welcome.
    Thank you
    Anatoliy

No, it is not. Sorry, what it has to do with my problem? If you don't have soa-infra app, then SOA Suite is not installed/configured for your domain... You need SOA Suite to deploy composites...
    Check this...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e13925/configure.htm#CFHCGFHD
Also have a look at item 3.1.6 Extending an Existing Domain in the same document...

  • SOA servers not listed

    Dear Members,
Here is something which i am not sure why this is happening... i have installed complete SOA SUITE 11g and whener i try to deploy sample composite application. App server connection was successful but when it comes to "Select Server" -> "SOA Server" it does not list anything to choose. Is this because i have missed something in my set up or something to do with Jdev ?
    Cheers,
    Madan

may be you need to create instances in AppServer.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your suggestion.
But the archive log files are present in primary as it will not get deleetd until applied in Standby.(configured like that)
I manually copied 69918 and 69919 and automatic recovery with below command

There are many log files missing in the standby. I copied around 10 files from primary and tried but it kept on asking for different log files.
Currently archive gap is for 69930 and 69931.
I checked in the standby database and found out that there are many files missing in between.

  • SOA and OSB servers in Admin State

I created two soa servers in a cluster and two osb servers in another cluster. When I start my servers they go to admin mode and I can't get them to go to starting mode. From what I read, certain libraries and applications need to be deployed to the servers. I did that while creating the servers and clusters. What might have been wrong?
    Thank you

    Hi,
When you created your clusters, have you followed the Enterprise Deployment Guide?
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/core.1111/e12036/overview.htm#CJABGFEA
You will have to check the servers log files to see why they are sitting in admin mode, be aware that they will take a while to start on the first time, from the second onwards time they tend to be faster.
Go to your %DOMAIN_HOME%/server/<your-server>/logs and look for <your-server>.log and see if there is some error messages there. Post the messages here and I can help you out.

    Hi Hari
The error stack trace clearly says "User: weblogic, failed to be authenticated." When you configure the Weblogic Domain in your JDeveloper, make sure you give all the details correct like host, port, username, password and domain name. Also you can Test Connection of that configured domain. So first test this connection and then it should work fine.

No this is not a clustered environment.
yeah but under domains there are two domains we have created.
    i.e. domains/ domain1 domain2
both are having soa servers as managed server.
in one domain soa is up but in domain2 it is not getting up causing above errors while starting.
FYI : It is causing problem now only.. before this , soa server on both the server have been up & running simultaneously.

  • Cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server

My problem: cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server.
The following is what I did:
    1. I created a domain "devDomain". admin server is created automatically for me.
*2. I created a manged server (soa_server1) on my domain after.*
    2. started the admin server
    3. started soa_server1
    4. see both servers in WLS control, both server state=running
    5. see both server in EM console, both server status are up
    6. in JDev(11.1.1.5.0), created an application server connection, and tested the connection successfully
    7. when I tried to deploy my composite from JDev, I selected the application server connection, on step "SOA servers", it only lists AdminServer.
    8. Then I tried to deploy the composite from EM by right-click soa_server1, but "SOA deployment" is not in the list.
My guess: there should be some libraries or other resources applied to soa_server1 before it could accept soa deployment. What are these libraries/resources?
I tried to target all 10 libraries under the path "oracle.soa." to soa_server1, and checked the config.xml and found the file was updated correcly, reboot my pc, restarted the servers, but still face the same problem.
    My environment is weblogic 10.3.5.
    Basically, my question is:
after a domain is created and admin server is there, if I want to add a managed server which will host soa composites, what should I do to configure the managed server?

  • Socket threads problem after SOA installation

    Hi all,
I am getting below error after sending request to the server(after weblogic and SOA servers started properly.
<Warning><Socket>'There are: '5' active sockets, but the maximum number of
socket readers allowed by the configuration is: '4', you may want to alter
    your configuration.>'
I am not able to deploy the application into the SOA Server(I am getting http response 502 error in my Jdeveloper's log).
I have seen forums about this ,they told to change the socket threads in weblogic console(mine is weblogic 10.3.5 server) ,but I am not able to change in the console. It has already some value as 33 and when I change and save ,it is telling value can not be changed dynamically.
I was told to change like below. But Where do I need to change like below and how
    java -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolSize=10 -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolPercentSocketReaders=60 ... your.client ...
I am stuck(I am not able to deploy the applications into SOA server)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    1. What you are seeing is <Warning> and mostly you can ignore this. This may not be the root cause for your error.
    2. Can you access your soa server url from browser like http://soahost:soaport/bpm/workspace url should work. Try soahost with direct ip address or dns name of that machine.
    3. In Jdeveloper, when you configure this, I hope you Tested the connection and does it show success.
    4. One way to quickly test is, deploy the SOA Workflow JAR directly from EM Console. The .jar file should be under your soaproject/deploy folder. If you have EAR for TaskForms, deploy EAR also from Console or EM Console. If all this works, this means, JDeveloper is not able to connect to soa server. Search for Proxy settings forJDeveloper in this forum. I remember seeing some posts to enable/disable Proxy for Jdeveloper like that.
    5. Look in the log files for any errors while deployment. But if server itself is NOT accessible, you may not see any deployment errors at all.
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to have multiple SOA Server within same domain ?

    Hi All
I need to know whether I can install and setup multiple soa_servers inside the same domain so that they can be managed by single weblogic instance.
    The use case scenario :
We have a single DEV environment instance that has several environments configured with it like PR1, PR2, TR, PY, PC.
The way we have achieved it is by creating partitions under soa_infra and deploying the code as we move up the ladder in testing phases before we move to separate QA and Prod.
Because of the way Dev is being setup, we are not able to use/test Oracle B2B properly because there is no way to have environment specific distinction be created in Oracle B2B.
In essence, at any point in time testing can happen only in one environment for out Dev box because it makes call to Oracle B2B (Trading Partners) and there is no way for us to distinguish whether the call is coming from PR1 or PR2 or PC or TR or PY.
We have no issue testing it as long as it is not restricted to B2B but with B2B we are restricted because a single soa instance has a single B2b instance. ( We can not have partition wise instances of B2B)
    Requirement :
Is it possible to install and configure different soa_server for.e.g
    soa_server1 : PR1
    soa_server2 : PR2
    soa_server3 : PY
    soa_server4 : PC
    soa_server5 : TR
inside the same domain (dev_domain) so that they can be managed from single weblogic instance through Admin console and we can have different B2B instances for each soa_server.
This way we will be able to differentiate between environments on the basis of ports with the same IP address.
Please let me know if there is a possibility of achieving the same.
Thank you so much in advance.
    Regards
    ACM

    Thanks Sharmela for your directions.
Let me try to clone the soa server and see if it helps.
Before I move forward, I would like to verify one thing from you.
As you have mentioned the word "cluster" , I am not exactly trying to achieve the clustered setup "conventional way of load balancing and high availability" but instead I want to have these cloned soa servers( soa_server1 : 8001,soa_server2 : 8002,soa_server3 : 8003,soa_server4 : 8004,soa_server5:8005 )to have separate partitions ( PR1, PR2, PY, TR,PC) respectively.
I hope I don't have to configure OHS to access these nodes since I want these nodes be available as a separate instance rather than redirecting load in case of any other becoming unresponsive ( OHS configuration)
I am not sure whether I am making sense but all I need to do is point the PR1 instance having it's own port number(8001) to the PR1 instance of ERP.
I think it is doable but just wanted to double check with you.
    Please let me know
    Thank you

I am planning to use the Virtual Machine as server, just for running Weblogic with SOA/BPM.
All the development i will do on a different computer, where I have installed JDeveloper. From the development environment I will try to deploy applications on SOA/BPM Virtual machine.
As I understood, bridge networking are problematic when using wireless connectivity and VirtualBox. Therefore, I am trying to use NAT with port forwarding instead.
    To make port forwarding work:
First, you need to execute on the host the following command line:
    +VBoxManage modifyvm "vbox-oel5u4-soabpm-11gr1ps2-bp1-otn" --natpf1 "guestswls,tcp,,7001,,7001"+
Next, on guest VM, Network Adapters, choose NAT and as Adapter Type choose: Intel PRO/1000 MT Server
With this settings, I am able to connect from development computer to the Em console, WLS console etc. I am able even to 'see' the WLS SOA/BPM instance with JDeveloper from LAN machine. But when I am trying to deploy from JDeveloper, under SOA Servers step2 screen, I see the server URL as localhost:7001. Therefore I cannot deploy yet...
    Thanks,

  • SOA Suite 11g Clustering error/oracle bug ?

Hi, i got several experiment to implement soa suite 11g clustering, in my company.. at this moment we still use development mode in our application server. now i'm trying to get into production and also i want cluster the server.. here is the chronology what i do.
    i got 3 server :
    my plan is
server #1 become an proxy server, let say the name is soa_proxy
server #2 become an cluster node, let say the name is soa_server1
server #3 become an cluster node, let say the name is soa_server2
so i start install & configure it (applications is running under Windows Server 2003)
    1.*soa_proxy*
    - Installing WebLogic server
    - Installing SOA
    - Create Repository with RCU (oracle 10g database)
    2.*soa_server1*
    - Installing WebLogic server
    - Installing SOA
    3.*soa_server2*
    - Installing WebLogic server
    - Installing SOA
after installation finished, then i create domain in soa_proxy server let say it name 'MyDomain', then i assign the soa_server1 and soa_server2 in cluster node named 'MyCluster', also i assign the soa_proxy server as a HTTP Proxy Server.. i'm following the instructions just like this link Link: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/doc.1111/e13925/config_screens.htm#CJAEABGD]
all the installation seems good, but when i try to deploy my composite application into the proxy server 'soa_proxy' with JDev, i got error like this
    Image: !http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/2122/error2z.jpg!
and when i go to Http://hostname:7001/em
i just see my composite deployed only in 'soa_server2'.
UPDATE : well, now the error was gone when deploying. but we still got little odd result,
when i deploy with jdev, it still fine, until i go to the enterprise manager. yess still.. my composite only deplyed in 'soa_server1'. i got some reference that we can copy the domain directory in soa_proxy and then paste into the server that not yet been deployed before. its seems oke..
i've been thinking, how if i got 10 node of cluster? 50 node of cluster ? should i copy the directory just like that ?? is there another charmed way to do it???
can somebody help me with this simple case?
    regards

    =======
here is my last trial to deploy the cluster environment, then i just got the same issues, our team here think thats the issues causing by oracle bug in code behind. for reminder what i do last experiment
    1. we deploy/configure the domain (admin console, cluster node) then starting up all the services smoothly without no issues & as we saw in the console monitor we can see the cluster is syncronizing.
    2. then we create simple composite.
    3. we try to deploy the composite to the cluster domain, and what we got is the composite only deployed in one cluster node.
let me describe to clear it,
    * first trial, when we deploy the composite, here is what we got in em console
    *[-] SoaInfra (SoaServer1)*
    [+] CompositeLabTest
    *[-] SoaInfra (SoaServer2)*
in JDev we also saw this message (the project CompositeLabTest Deploy Process is skipped), some kind like that
    * second time trial, we try to shut the SoaServer2 down, then restart it, what we got in em console
    *[-] SoaInfra (SoaServer1)*
    [+] CompositeLabTest
    *[-] SoaInfra (SoaServer2)*
    [+] CompositeLabTest
. so until today my soa suite 11g clustering experience is never going good practice.. any of you may had experience with clustering too, how that can be done? please respon...
    thanks

    Hi there.
Me too I have a similar problem with cluster deployment.
I have two different domains in two different phisical machine on the same LAN.
These domains are equals and the sole difference is regarding the IP configuration:
    domain 1
    machine 172.0.0.1
    soaadmin 172.0.0.1
    soa1 172.0.0.2
    soa1 172.0.0.3
    domain 2
    machine 172.0.1.1
    soaadmin 172.0.1.1
    soa1 172.0.1.2
    soa1 172.0.1.3
When I try to deploy a new composite from the EM this fails (it remains in waiting for a response like the followed)
    <Jun 18, 2010 10:42:00 AM CEST> <Warning> <org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.context.RequestContextImpl> <BEA-000000> <Could not find partial trigger idArchiveFileBrowserDialog from RichInputText[UIXEditableFacesBeanImpl, id=idArchiveLoc]>
    Processing sar=/tmp/dir2448127768139530528tmp/sca_SOAComposite1_rev1.0.jar
    Adding sar file - /tmp/dir2448127768139530528tmp/sca_SOAComposite1_rev1.0.jar
Creating HTTP connection to host:172.0.0.2, port:10002
    What I checked:
In multicast configuration soa1 (domain1) sent the request to all soa servers in the LAN (even in that one that aren't configurated in his domain)
In unicast configuration soa1 (domain1) sent the request only to the soa2 (domain1) server but it remain in waiting for a response for all the time.
What it is strange is that if I stop the domain2 the request can be performed and my composite is deployed in both the servers.
Any idea about this strange behaviour?
    N.B.
    I'm not using Coherence.
