JPY Conversion and Display in query by a factor of 100

Hello,
I've seen a lot of threads on the forum that talk about this issue, but I have not found out a clear solution. I have a scenario where I'm loading data from R/3 into BI and developing queries on the cube.
When I see the data for JPY in the report, the amount is multiplied by 100. There is no such issue for any other currencies.
Order         Fiscper          Amount
201            002.2008       8,730,000.00 JPY
Amount displayed in listcube:
with 'do not use conversion' checked: 8,730,000.00
with 'do not use conversion' not checked: 873,000.000
Value of decimal places for JPY in OY04 t-code: 0
Amount in Report: 873,000,000.00
Amount displayed in listcube:
with 'do not use conversion' checked: 8,730,000.00
with 'do not use conversion' not checked: 873,000.000
Value of decimal places for JPY in OY04 t-code: 3
Amount in Report: 873,000.00
I cannot change the decimal places in OY04 to 2. It doesn't allow me to do it (I guess due to the fact that the default value by SAP is 2).
I'm making changes to OY04 in BI and not in R/3. Also for testing purpose, I'm loading a subset of the data from a flat file instead of R/3.
What do I need to do in order for the value to be correct in the query? I've read the blog by Viren Devi, but the routine is giving out a program error when I run it in the start routine.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sameer.

Hi Sameer,
     Just for your Information, this is due to TCURX table. Its not issue..
Take one Example. IN BI we used to do transfer globle settings from R/3. Thats why in both side TCURX having same value for JPY.
now What is TCURX entry. IF you find the entry for JPY there then you can see there CURRDEC = 0.
SO when in R/3 any transaction is happen take example transaction of 1500 JPY is happen in R/3.
at that time when data is stored into R/3 table it will check the tcurx value, here its find '0' value, so the value is stord in R/3 table was devide by 100. ( Reason for store factor = 10(currdec-2), here currdec = 0, so factor = 10-2 = 0.01 )
so in R/3 table value is 15 JPY.
now we pull the data in BI, in BI also it store as 15 JPY.
Now while executing the value it will show value by multiply by 100 ( Reason ; for display factor = 10(2-currdec = 102 = 100 )
thats why in report we see the value 1500 JPY...
this is actually right, because transaction value is 1500 JPY. you can see...
Hope you understand business. ( SAP is amazing!!!! )

  • Designing a query and displaying the query output

    The goal is to create a report (in HTML form) of all the jobs
    (and job-related information) for a given department.
    I envision the department name as a hyperlink to a report
    based on the unique DepartmentID.
    For example, the “Sales” department might contain
    these jobs:
    VP of Sales
    Associate Salesperson
    Sales Assistant
    Each job requires a set of skills and a specific skill level.
    “Persuasion skill” could vary as follows:
    VP of Sales: ADVANCED persuasion skill
    Associate Salesperson: MODERATE persuasion skill
    Sales Assistant: BASIC persuasion skill
    “Communication skill” could vary as follows:
    VP of Sales: EXPERT communication skill
    Associate Salesperson: ADVANCED communication skill
    Sales Assistant: NOT REQUIRED
    And so on…
    Each job has roughly 20 skills that are related to it.
    I’d like to display this information in a table with
    the skills listed in rows, the job titles listed in column
    headings, and the skill level (e.g., ADVANCED) located in the
    appropriate cell where the skill and job title intersect. That way,
    the reader can easily compare skill levels across jobs.
    The requisite tables are below. (A field name preceded by
    “frn_” is the foreign key related to another
    table’s primary key.)
    Table: Departments
    Fields: DepartmentID, DepartmentName
    Table: Jobs
    Fields: JobID, JobTitle, frn_DepartmentID
    Table: Skills
    Fields: SkillID, SkillName
    Table: Skill_Levels
    Fields: Skill_LevelID, Skill_Level_Description
    Table: JobSkills (this table “links” a job,
    skill, and skill level)
    Fields: JobSkillID, frn_JobID, frn_SkillID, frn_Skill_LevelID
    I'm not sure how to do this, so thank you for any help!
    Luke

    You're correct; I want to display the data as you described,
    with one slight change.
    Instead of the words "expert" or "basic," the proficiency
    ratings should be displayed as numbers, e.g., "1" for "basic, "3"
    for moderate, and "5" for expert. (Table: KSAProfRatings contains
    fields for both, i.e, Field: PRStatement for "basic", "moderate",
    "expert" etc. and Field: PRRating for "1", "2", "3", etc. I want to
    use Field: PRRating)
    Table: KSAs contains Field: KSAStatement, which contains the
    skills. In addition to skills, Field: KSAStatement also contains
    knowledges and abilities.
    So, in addition to the skills that I mentioned above, there
    might be a knowledge, such as "Knowledge of company products &
    services," and an ability, such as "Ability to communicate
    effectively." These knowledges and abilities receive a proficiency
    rating just like the skills.
    There is conceptual overlap among knowledges, skills, and
    abilities (KSAs), so I had referred only to "skills" for clarity.
    The query that I posted reflects the actual table names,
    e.g., Table: KSAs instead of Table: Skills, and Table:
    KSAProfRatings instead of Table: Skill_Levels (see my first post),
    but the principle is the same.

  • Display the query result in an Excel file??

    hi there..
    am writing one script file that queries my DB and display the query result in an Excel file??
    i.e: if my query is :
    select col1, col2
    from table;
    and i want the results to dispalys in 2 col. in an Excel spreadsheet..
    Appreaciating ur cooperation..

    set colsep to a delimiter that is not normally part of your data like |
    also setup the environment with these other setup commands
    Set Echo Off;
    Set Concat Off;
    Set Pagesize 9999;
    Set Feedback Off;
    Set Verify Off;
    Set Term Off;
    Set Space 0;
    Set Colsep '|'
    Set Underline Off;
    If you wanted to use a comma delimiter the setup would be same but the set colsep='","'
    with the addition of concatenating a " on the first col and last col of the query
    eg.
    -- if first col and last_col are character types then
    SELECT '"'||col1,....,last_col||'"'
    FROM table;
    Otherwise if either is a number they would have to be converted with a TO_CHAR

  • Convert this query to ABAP and display the results

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a sql query in native sql (oracle). I want execute it in ABAP editor and display the results.
    I need to get this to an internal table and display the results. How do i write the script any help will be great use to me.
    Here is the query:
    <i> select (select decode(extent_management,'LOCAL','*',' ') ||
                   decode(segment_space_management,'AUTO','a ','m ')
              from dba_tablespaces where tablespace_name = b.tablespace_name) || nvl(b.tablespace_name,

           kbytes_alloc-nvl(kbytes_free,0) used,
           nvl(kbytes_free,0) free,

           group by tablespace_name ) a,
         ( select sum(bytes)/1024 Kbytes_alloc,

           from sys.dba_temp_files
           group by tablespace_name )b
    where a.tablespace_name = b.tablespace_name order by 1;
    </i>
    Thanks,
    Prashant.

    Hi Prashant,
    Native SQL commands in ABAP are placed between EXEC SQL and ENDEXEC. You can place all your statements in between these EXEC SQL and ENDEXEC in a report.
    EXEC SQL [PERFORMING <form>].
      <Native SQL statement>
    ENDEXEC.
    Check this link to know about Native SQL

  • Related to InfoObject display in Query as Key and Text

    Hello all,
              I have problem with my two queries which is created on same InfoProvider.
    Problem:
                I have Q1 and Q2 queries which fetch data from DT1 data target
    > Both the Q1 and Q2 has the same InfoObject 'IO'.
    > Properties of InfoObject in both Q1 and Q2 are same.
    While Q1 and Q2 is expected to return the same result. Q1 returns the key and text but Q2 is returning only key for same infoObject 'IO' .
    Additional Information:
    > In query result, The 'IO' properties for Q1 it is key and text and Q2 is only key.
    > I cannot change the Q2 's 'IO' properties to show key and text in query result as i donot have the authorization.             Q2 query is created on development server and tranported to production, where as Q1 query created on production.
    I want Q2's 'IO' to display key and text.
    Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks,
    Umashankar

    Hello all,
          Thanks to all for your response. Here I can conclude all of your saying.
    1. Change the Q2 in development and transport it to production.
              To do this I need to have applicable data in dev or QA, unfortunately there is no applicable data found in any of the system except Prod.
    2. Change the Q2 in production by having authorization.
              It will solve the problem but I hope Client will not agree to provide authorization to change.
    excuse me these will not resolve the problem. If you any new Idea please let me know.
    My way to resolve this is
    1. Delete the Q2 from Prod
    2. Copy the query Q1 to Q3 in Prod.
    3. Reverse transport Q3 to Dev and tranport again to Prod.
    4. Check the query result.
                Here you may ask why you need Q3 if you have Q1 and Q2, the answer is Q1 is created by user and now he need Q2 (same as Q1) but it should not be in changeable mode. Hence we have created the query Q2 in Dev and transported to Prod (In previous case).  But the only difference in both the queries is one InfoObject values is shown as Key and Text in Q1 and Key as Q2.
    I'm not sure whether the way mentioned here solve the problem.

  • Passing Parameters to SQL Query and Displaying Result

    The user enters a serial number in a text box and then pushes a button to get info about the serial number. I do this with two regions. The first region has the text box and the button. The second region is a Report type region and contains the following SQL:
    select case
    when "WARRANTYSTATUS"."OUTOFWARRANTYDATE" >= sysdate then
    'Serial Number '||"WARRANTYSTATUS"."SERIALNUMBER"||' is in warranty.'
    else
    'Serial Number '||"WARRANTYSTATUS"."SERIALNUMBER"||' is out of warranty.'
    end as "The result is:"
    from "WARRANTYSTATUS"
    where "WARRANTYSTATUS"."SERIALNUMBER" in (:P1_SERIALNUMBER)
    For a single serial number of the form CU5-0799 every thing works. I am a little suprised this works because the SERIALNUMBER in the WARRANTYSTATUS table is of type varchar2 which means the serial number in the where clause must be surrounded by single quoties. Not sure where the single quoties are being added.
    However, what I like to do is to enter more that one serial number, seperated by commas, in the same text box, and then the query return a result for each serial number. What I would like to enter is:
    CU5-0799, CU5-07132, CU5-89345
    The problem is this string of three serial numbers will needs to be have single quotes around each serial number at the level of the sql statement. So the question is how do I make this work?? Thanks for the help in advance.

    Bob,
    If you would change your OTN handle to something more mnemonically friendly, that would help us. Thanks.
    This topic is addressed fully, with various techniques described, here: Re: Search on a typed in list of values .
    I am a little suprised this works because the SERIALNUMBER in the WARRANTYSTATUS table is of type varchar2 which means the serial number in the where clause must be surrounded by single quoties.
    Not true. Quotes are used for literals, not bind variables.

    Is it possible in  webtemplate by using java scripting.

    IN the Query , you could diplay Characteristics as a Hierarchy. Just above the Columns Box in Bex, do a write click.

  • Centering and displaying 100% in browser won't work.

    I believe I followed the instructions that were posted previously and I did some reading about centering a page and displaying the page at 100% but I can't seem to make them work correctly. I might have a conflict or something can you help.
    I designed a website which was 1000px wide and now they want it changed (they want an image on both sides of the page)-so instead of changing it around completely and trying to mess with the areas and buffers and all of that fun stuff. I decided to leave the #container (which is were all the data for the site is and were as the template is applied to other pages the size will change -the height will change but the width should stay 100px.)that was there and then wrapp it up completly in another div tag which i labeled #master_container then I inserted 2 more div tags and placed the images on either side as is desired. I followed the instructions above (because now the site is soo big displaying in a browser is diffacult). I need the site to do 3 things.
    -i need it to display centered on the page so that no matter what browser it is displayed in or what size screen it is viewed on it fits the center of the screen.
    -I also would like it to fit the screen of the person using it so that they see the whole page as one and there isn't a huge blank space on one of the sides -right now it is on the right.
    -if you know how to make the two images on the side of the screen scroll as the person scrolls down the page-(ie-so that they don't see part of the image sometimes and other parts of it when they move farther down-wouldl like it to scroll with them as they move down the page)

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

    Ok I have no idea what i am doing wrong this is the most frusterating thing I have ever done. I will never build another webpage again.
    Here is the problem that I have i don't care how it gets solved but I just need it solved. this is over a week trying to solve one problem. I just don't have the time to do it anymore but I need it done.
    1) this page (http://practiceuploadingsite.info/) needs to be centered.  That's all just centered in the brosers that it opens in. (nothing I try seems to work)
    2) every other page on that website after you click into the home page (http://practiceuploadingsite.info/Pages/home.html) is made by the application of a template. All I want to do is keep eveything the same as it is right now and just add 2 background images (one on the right and one on the left) so that this:
    fits inside of the blank space of this:
    preferably so the images scroll down the page because the center colum will change height but not widith depending on the page the template is applied to.
    I even tried to remake the template as to include the images all at once with the div tages and the header seems to have nothing but problems and I couldn't get them to stay together correctly. they keep coming up uneven and the header that is contained on the page spans the entire container and will not just stay the way it is.
    Just please tell me how to do this and you will never hear from me again.
    I am uploading the site information so you have the files I am working from Idk if it is something wrong with the headers the div containers or what but almost just put my computer through the window so I don't care how to get it done just please spell it out so I can follow it correctly.
    THANK YOU!!
    THIS IS THE MAIN LAYOUT TEMPLATE THAT IS APPLIED TO THE WORKING SITE THE WAY I WANT IT EXCEPT FOR THE IMAGES

  • How to read and display a signal from my PIC Microcontroller onto Labview?

    Hi,
    I am doing a project on a Pulse Oximeter and i am trying to read and display the signal from my PIC Microcontroller on Labview? How do i go about doing it? I am using the PIC16F877 and also making use of the USART?
    How do i implement and initialise the USART in PIC16? What are the steps to be taken, please guide me through the process? The link provides information regarding the USART connection, initialisting and stuff? Is it correct to use these codes in my program?Link: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00774a.pdf
    Also, i am using the RS232 serial interface to connect to the PC? The connector i am using is the DB9 Connector. Which template and VI can i use? Am i supposed to use the NI-DAQmx and VISA? Also, for my USART connection, i am using the MAX232 Driver which is applicable for my application as i am working with +5V. So far, i have been reading and trying out on Labview and the steps i have taken are:
    1) Open a New VI and used the Instrument I/O(Read & Display) template?
    2) How do i configure the Instrument I/O Assistant Express VI to read the info from my device connected to COM1?
    3) I was reading the Labview Manual, 'Getting Started with Labview' and i was following the steps under Page 55, Communicating with an Instrument. Am i on the right track?
    4) How do i check and make sure that the port settings of the I/O Assistant and my PIC Micro Match
    Please help me out and guide me through the process. I am student at a polytechnic and i am very new to Labview and the software is used as a development tool for the project. I have a deadline to meet and i hope i can get a response as fast as possible. Your help will be kindly and greatly appreciated. I hope to hear from you guys soon.You can e-mail me all your answers at [email protected]

    Getting Started with Labview.pdf ‏901 KB

    Hi Ashwin,
    It is a good idea to first be able to communicate with the microcontroller using some sort of serial communication software such as "HyperTerminal" or "Procomm", etc. Refer to MicroChip's recommendations on this.
    Once that works, then you are ready to use LabView.
    Here is a link which covers many aspects of serial communication. Link - click here
    You probably received a development kit. They usually have a readily available interface. It's been a long time since I played with the PIC, but I seem to remember that you need to program the serial communication driver (as well as at least a bootloader) to get the serial communication going. The driver contains the necessary protocols so that you PC can have a machine conversation with the target (PIC).
    It sounds like a fun & interesting project. Please avoid to have replies to your personal email. By having the answers posted to this thread, you will get much more support and advice.
    Have fun,

  • Fetching data from a table and displaying it on the text box

    Hi,
    I have created a dialog program in which created a container(text box)  to enter data upto 1000 characters.
    Iam capturing the data and storing it in a custom table. In PBO I want to fetch data from my custom table (if data is already present :1000 characters data) and display it on screen.
    Please let me know how do i do it?

    hii Pavani,
    declare this two sttements in Screen
    MODULE STATUS_DATA.
    MODULE SELECT_DATA.
    In PBO, Under SELECT_DATA write Select query like:
    (considering the DB field to be text and Screen Field to be SC_TEXT)
    select text from <DB Table> into SC_TEXT where <condition>.
    *note if u r selecting more than one field than write fields in (   ),eg. (f1....f2) )
    Plz let me know for  any further queries.

  • Re: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data

    Personally, I think there is little or no value to creating a "domain"
    object that itself relies on a JATO QueryModel internally, but hides that
    fact and requires use of BeanAdapterModel.
    It would be more appropriate (and much less work, and more scalable) to just
    derive a QueryModel subclass and add the domain-specific behavior to the
    model. In other words, what's the point of creating an object that hides
    JATO inside it when you're running in JATO to begin with? Now if the domain
    object were doing plain JDBC, and thus trying to be JATO independent, that
    would be different. However, you could still implement the Model interface
    on the object (or use BeanAdapterModel) to integrate it seamlessly with the
    View tier.

    Craig,
    I think it all finally makes sense. First, your assumption is
    correct regarding the process flow. The ViewBean will interact with
    a custom Javabean which will then in turn interact with a SQL Model
    to access the database. So now let me make sure I understand what I
    need to do. Basically the custom Javabean will have a method to get
    the SQLModel. I would then invoke the setValue method on the
    SQLModel and call the appropriate execute method( e.g.,
    executeUpdate, etc. ) just like I would do from a ViewBean. Does
    this sound correct?
    Thanks,

    Not sure what you mean by "interface this BeanAdapterModel ... witha
    query model". Does this mean that you have a ViewBean the interactswith
    a custom JavaBean via the BeanAdpterModel wrapper, and from the
    JavaBean you are interacting with the SQL Model?
    So it looks like this: ViewBean > BeanAdapterModel(Custom JavaBean)
    SQL Model > RDBMS
    That's what I am reading anyway. Please explain this to me.
    Would I need to make direct JDBC calls
    from my custom model instead of letting JATO dynamically create
    the
    calls for me?
    If my assumptions above are correct, then the custom JavaBean cansimply
    use the SQL Model in exactly the same manner as the ViewBean,otherwise,
    if no SQL Model is involved, then yes, you need to handle JDBCdirectly,
    which is fine, if you do it "right" (connection pooling, result set
    handling, etc.).

    Thanks for the response. Actually, I'm not sure if I can answer
    all
    of your questions because those are some of the same questions
    that
    we're trying to answer ourselves. Basically, what we're trying
    to
    >do
    is incorporate our domain object model into the JATO framework.
    My
    thinking was that one way we could accomplish this was by
    storing
    >a
    Javabean object in the HTTPSession to represent an object in the
    domain model, and that the Viewbean and JATO Model could get and
    set
    data from there. If you have a better suggestion of how to
    accomplish this, I'm definitely open to hearing it.
    Thanks,
    Greg

    OK grschroeder , first let me get this straight:
    0. Are you going to pass this object to the model, or are u

    to pass the session object to the model?
    1. Is there any specific reason for this approach you are
    taking?
    2. Will there be a notification from the object u havementioned
    >to
    have the model persist the data?
    3. What about the reverse case, when the model refreshes the
    data,
    how are you going to refresh you object?
    4. The JavaBean Object that u are talking about, is it your own
    object or is it implementation of an existing JATO interface?

    incorporate
    the use of a Javabean object that will be stored in the HTTP
    session
    and will act as the connection between the Viewbean and Model
    instead
    of having the Viewbean and Model interact directly with each
    other.
    Basically I would like to have the Model set data in the object
    stored in the session so that the Viewbean can pull it out to
    display
    it. And vice versa, once the user modifies the data and is

  • Select RTF Data and display in PDF Document

    Hi all,
    I have a simple table:
    CONTENT_ID - NUMBER
    CONTENT - VARCHAR2(4000)
    On top of this table I have a form that allows the user to enter / update data. The 'CONTENT' field is a Rich Text Editor (ApEx 4.0 - CKEditor 3). This allows the user to enter and format their text as they require.
    I need to be able to select this data and display it in a PDF Document (via BI Publisher).
    I therefore have a simple query
    select content from content_table where content_id = 1;and a simple template that processes the resulting xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ROWSET>
       <ROW>
          <CONTENT>& lt;h2& gt;
         This is a heading& lt;/h2& gt;
    & lt;p& gt;
         This is the text& lt;/p& gt;
    </CONTENT>
       </ROW>
    </ROWSET>(There is not really a space between the & and 'lt' etc but I had to add this to get it to display correctly here).
    Where I run this past my template I get a PDF with:
    <h2>
    This is a heading</h2>
    <p>
    This is the text</p>I get the same if I generate HTML.
    but what I want to see is the text formatted as the user has entered in the RTF editor.
    Can this be done?
    Many thanks,
    Martin

    I think your mixing 2 technologies.
    At 1 side you have xml in combination with xsl (style sheets used in BI Publisher and FOP) to generate your pdf. And at the other side you have HTML...
    XML and HTML are 2 entirely different technologies which you can not mix this simple. I investigated the same problem as you had, and in the end I ended up using jasperreports instead of FOP.
    Maybe BI Publisher has some html regions which you could insert into your word document but I doubt it cause more people have asked the same question on this board...
    So my advice: use jasperreports (also it is free for commercial usage)
