Jquery mobile testing

Hi
Having created in Dreamweaver the default template for Jquery Mobile ( Page from sample > Mobile Starters>jquery mobile (local) ) and saved to localhost as well as on the web I decided to test in device central using preview in the device central option.
in device central I used the Apple Iphone 4 emulator and could see that I was able to proceed to page 2 by clicking on it , however clicking on the back button does not work.
This is the same for all pages in the JQM example.
I then tried this on a web emulator http://www.testiphone.com/ and the back button works OK. So does this mean that device central is not working correctly or have i missed something

Hi Nandi
If its a emulation bug should this be reported to the developers and if so what is the correct procedure.
Workaround given > use navigation button from web rendering panel

  • JQuery Mobile on Phone Gap for Android DW CS 5.5

    Hi,
    I thought that I should take my dynamic Jquery Mobile site to the test as a native application by building it with the Dreamweaver CS 5.5 Phone Gap extension. Building it and getting it up as an application on the Android SDK emulator was pretty straightforward.
    The Jquery Mobile site consists of 1 multipage page starting with a login form (userid, password and a submit button). The PHP page with the MySQL database access is called using AJAX. If login successful, PHP returns an XML array with a number of categories that will be listed (ul/li) on the subsequent page. Now, this is all we need to know for now.
    The corresponding Phone Gap application loads fine on the Android emulator, a click on the app icon kicks off the splash page and the login form comes up exactly like it does when run as a Jquery Mobile web page but nothing happens when I click the submit button. Trying to understand I started the emulator loggin (adb logcat) and found this (I am listing only the latest log items):
    ===
    I/InputDispatcher(   74): Dropped event because it is stale.

    W/webview (  396): Stale touch event ACTION_DOWN received from webcore; ignoring
    ===
    Every time I click/tap the submit button I get "Stale touch event..." which I strongly relate to that nothing happens.
    Anyone tried this (Phone Gapping Jquery Mobile) or having a clue of where to look next?
    Thanks
    /Ralf

    wow....Matt is has been a while since i first build the sample app using the jquery mobile and phonegap in DW5.5. Since I faced lots of challenge with getting the app to talk to mysql, i decided to go with "Flash Builder 4.5.1". I have already develped and deployed both android and ios app using flash builder.
    I don't recall how i develped the sample app with jquery mobile and phonegap in DW5.5. As far as i can recall...i followed a tutorial provided on Adobe Developer Connection under DW5.5. I don't have the link anymore...i will try to find it for you.

  • New jquery mobile theme not rendering properly

    So I'm finalizing some things on a mobile website that is looking great! m.whitewatertours.com...but we wanted to make a few changes to the theming and used ThemeRoller from jQuery to do so. But after downloading my new theme and applying it to a test page our fabulous looking site now looks like something a 5 yr old created!
    I replaced the original <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.2.0/jquery.mobile-1.2.0.min.css" /> code in the Head tag with the new ones mentioned below their respective pages...(generated with the "add new css" button from DW6)
    Here's the orginal page looking great: http://m.whitewatertours.com/rafting-hot-deals.html
    than the test page with ThemeRoller Theme: http://m.whitewatertours.com/rafting-hot-deals-css-test.html
    new code = <link href="jquery-mobile/twt-mobile-theme.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    Than I tested with a theme created from Fireworks CS6, still looking terrible...
    test page with FWCS6 theme: http://m.whitewatertours.com/rafting-hot-deals-css-test-fw.html
    I feel like I must've have done something wrong ... but have triple checked everything I can think of!
    Jenny

    Thanks Sudarshan!
    So that did solve part of the problem at first, but was overriding my custom css.
    Found there was an extra </script> in the head tag that was screwing up things...
    So the css. from Fireworks works!
    The css from jQuery ThemeRoller did take a little extra tweaking, did get 2 codes from them one from the file download "index":
    the first code worked with the .min extension so thats what im using
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="themes/twt-mobile-theme.min.css" />
    and another from the download screen:
      <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/themes/my-custom-theme.css" />
    the first code worked with the .min extension so thats what im using
    I also ended up creating the "themes" folder within my jquery-mobile folder with all their stuff in there.
    Thanks for the help again and getting me pointed in the right direction!!

  • Jquery mobile site shows up tiny on iPhone

    Help!  I create a new jquery mobile site in Dreamweaver CS6. Save and upload all files.  I can see everything but it's super tiny!  What's going on?!
    Here's a link to my "fake" site. http://kcwebxpert.com/adultlearner/mobile/
    and this one.. I can change the themes no problem but still shows up tiny.
    http://kcwebxpert.com/adultlearner/test/

    I am having the same problem with my site looking tiny on the iphone and on the Samsung Galaxy.  Other phones that I have tried looks fine.  Does anyone have a suggestion?  I really need help with this one.  The regular site I designed is fine, but the mobile site is really frustrating.

  • JQuery Mobile version

    I'm trying to use ThemeRoller to theme my LS-application. In an article I found the following about choosing the JQuery Mobile version in ThemeRoller: "Switch to version 1.1.1 (or whatever version of JQuery Mobile that is in the Default.htm file
    of the LightSwitch website)."
    The ThemeRoller list contains "1.4.5", "1.3.2", "1.2.1", .....
    I have the following in my Default.htm
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/jquery.mobile-1.3.0.min.js"></script>
    How should the above be interpreted?
    What "JQuery Mobile" version of ThemeRoller should be safe to use?
    How safe is it to use a newer version in ThemeRoller than is used in my Default.htm?
    Is it safe to update Default.htm in LS to eg. "jquery.mobile-1.4.5..." ?
    Regards Roger.
    PS. Probably no absolute correct answer to this question, but any advice appreciated.

    Give 1.3.2 a try. The differences between the versions typically do not affect LightSwitch but you have to try a theme and test.

  • Page from Sample - Mobile Starters - jQuery Mobile with theme not working on mobile

    I created a new webpage - New - Page from Sample - Mobile Starters - Jquery Mobile with Theme and did not modify it.
    That does not work on an iPhone or Android.
    What am I missing? Is there an update to make the jquery mobilesite work?
    This is how it looks in dreamweaver
    http://ricston.com/push/test/screenshot_dreamweaver.png
    This is how it looks on my phone:
    http://ricston.com/push/test/screenshot_galaxy.png
    The page for the template is here http://ricston.com/push/test/test.html - As you can see, nothing has been changed.

    Thank you.  I was having the exact same problem.  I even upoaded the unmodified starter page, just in case it was something I did.  Inserting the viewport line fixed it.  (Now I need to go back and insert that line into each of the pages I was working on.)
    The question remains, however, as to why the mobile starter pages don't include that line in the first place.
    [edit] FYI - On Dreamweaver CC, it's under the "common" group within "insert".  (I would have expected it under "JQuery Mobile", but it's not there.)

  • Anchor issues using JQuery Mobile

    I am having a lot of issues with getting anchors to work correctly while using JQuery Mobile Starter Page/Template. My instructor gave me a javascript to use, but that too is not working correctly. I've tried many different options on getting it to work and perform correctly and I've had no luck. This is a project that's due next week and as of right now this is the one thing that's holding me back. So basically what I'm trying to do is is when you Click on landmarks it'll bring you to a new page with different city's and when you click a city it'll take you to the anchor so you can start reading my information.
    The first anchor controlled by javascript works correctly, but when I add my second anchor and test it it'll go to the first anchors position, but a few paragraphs down. If I add a third it'll only move the page down a tad bit as if it wasn't moved at all.
    Much help is greatly appreciated

    Just to clear up some terminology. An anchor <a> is what we all call a hyperlink. You are referring to the name attribute of the anchor tag.  Named anchors are deprecated but whether you use them or element ID's they work the same.  Not really sure what you posted after your question - can you just post the code?
    >The first anchor controlled by javascript works correctly,
    >but when I add my second anchor and test it it'll go to the
    >first anchors position, but a few paragraphs down. If I add a third
    >it'll only move the page down a tad bit as if it wasn't moved at all.
    Is there enough room for the page to scroll? Links to specific locations within a page work by scrolling the page. If there's not enough height left on the page, it can't scroll and can give the impression that it's not working. Is this what's happening? If not, then you'll need to post the code.

  • Kaltura video widget and jquery mobile navigation buttons

    Greetings,
    I inserted the Kaltura video player widget into a jquery mobile project I built in Dreamweaver 5.5. The video works fine, but all of my navigation buttons were compromised. For example, where once there was a circle with a > symbol--indicating Press to Advance--there is now just a circle. And, in my collapsable block fields, the circle with the + or - symbols are also just circles. I believe that the Javascript that Kaltura inserts conflicts with the existing jQuery JS, but I can't find a fix.
    I posted a screen shot below to show the buttons missing the > symbol.
    Anybody?
    Thanks in advance.

    Change the theme to ui- theme darkness
    @import url("http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.1/themes/darkness/jquery-ui.css");
    this will bring back your arrows.
    The problem is in the css.  And the redmond theme
    I will look at it later and see if i can isolate the issue .
    Go to kaltura widget folder > skins > ui-themes  to see the css
    I am interested in how your testing with this widget is working for Android (iOS works fine).  I have a few issues and as I can find very few folks working on this could we maybe collaborate?  Thanks Tom

  • JQuery Mobile template: Error Loading Page

    Hello Apex community,
    My name is Robert and this my first post on this forum. I've been developing with Oracle Apex for over a year now.
    I've recently started developing for mobile devices with Oracle Apex 4.2.
    However i stumble on serveral problems including the one I will describe here:
    The problem is best described by this screenshot:
    [ http://roberthantink.com/img/Error_loading_page.JPG]
    Whenever I log into my JQuery template based application which uses 'Application Express Accounts' as authentication.
    I get the following Error: "Error Loading Page".
    When inspecting with a development tool I only get this warning:
    "The page at https://apex***********.com/nbb/f?p=100:LOGIN_JQM_SMARTPHONE:5788626446201 displayed insecure content from http://apex*******.com/nbb/f?p=100:101:0:::::."
    Page 101 is de login page and after the login it should redirect to Home which is page 1. This is all default.
    The weird thing is I can log into the application if I am on our company's local network.
    And I can also log into the workspace from outside our network, but I cannot get in the Application.
    I've also made a 'Sample Database Application' which I can log into from anywhere.
    I've searched this forum and of course the internet and could not find anything on this subject.
    I hope my explanation is clear enough and that someone could help me out.

    Edited by: Robert Hantink on 5-dec-2012 11:10

    So here is the update.
    I've checked my themes/templates/pages for hardcoded HTTP/HTTPS and didn't find anything.
    I also inspected and compared the website from inside our network and outside and could not find anything out of the ordinary.
    Because this problem only occurses when i use the JQuery Mobile template I also compared the JQuery template with a Normal template.
    The only thing i noticed besides the different scripts that are found in the <head>tag, is the <base> tag :
    <base href="http://*****************.com:8080/nbb/f?p=100:10:13950022358106::NO:::">
    This tag is only used in the mobile template.
    I have also used the firebug network function and i noticed that when the site is used from outside our network that there is no response to a POST.
    I've uploaded some screenshots to make things clear.
    This is what happens from inside our network when i click on the SUBMIT-button "test" :
    http://roberthantink.com/img/intern1.JPG
    http://roberthantink.com/img/intern2.JPG
    Everything just works and the answer to the POST is a html site.
    However if i do the same thing from outside our network this is what happens:
    http://roberthantink.com/img/extern1.JPG
    http://roberthantink.com/img/extern2.JPG
    The next thing I'm about to check is our webcache and our firewall.
    Because the current port that is used is 443 and maybe we need 8080 and 8181 as well.
    Hope this gives you more of an insight of what is going on.
    Let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks a million so far!!!

  • Cannot get background image to appear in app made with jquery mobile

    Not sure where to post this issue but i thought here might be a good place as it is related to Dreamweaver.
    I am using jquery mobile and phonegap to develop an app and i'm a noob at this.
    I just want to make a scalable image as a background. After searching stack overflow it seems this problem comes up alot but I've tried all solutions and they do not work! When viewing it in a web browser...all looks fine but when i run it on the emulator or download the test build to my android phone it does not show at all!!
    I know that the jquery mobile stylesheets overwrite anything i try to custom style so i have gone in directly and targeted those elements
    CSS:
    .ui-page.ui-body-c {
    background: url(jquery-mobile/images/phone-bg.jpg);
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-position:center center;
    background-size:cover;
    margin: 0; padding: 0;
    Like I said, this works fine in a web broswer when testing and fine in Live mode but in the app build i can see nothing at all.
    Has anyone got a good workaround/solution for this??? Because all suggestions i see in stack overflow just don't work...

    This is where your SpryHorizontal12.css file is looking for that image.  It's 404 not found at that location (notice the path):
    http://eappromotions.healthandperformancesolutions.net/eappromotions/EAP%20Promo%20Kit/htm l/images/top_nav_button.gif
    Also, don't use spaces in file & folder names.  It creates problems when spaces are converted to %20.

    My wife has left me for four weeks, favouring to be with our son who lives 4,000 km away. I now have to cook for myself and the steaks taste horrible. What am I doing wrong?
    If you do not know what I have (not) done to make the steak taste horrible, my question is as hard to answer as your question above.

  • JQuery mobile layout grid not working after 4.2 upgrade

    Hi all,
    I'm running a mobile application on a hosted Apex environment which uses lots of jQuery mobile. The environment has been updated to 4.2 recently, and since that happened pages that I had setup to use the content grid, to show content in 3 columns no longer works, there only appears to be 1 column now. Code as below: -
    <div class="ui-grid-b">
         <div class="ui-block-a">Block A</div>
         <div class="ui-block-b">Block B</div>
         <div class="ui-block-c">Block C</div>
    </div><!-- /grid-b -->Item 1 has the following as the 'before label and item':
    <div data-role="fieldcontain"><div class="ui-grid-b"><div class="ui-block-a">Item 2 has the following as the 'before label and item':
    <div data-role="fieldcontain"><div class="ui-grid-b"><div class="ui-block-b">Item 3 has the following as the 'before label and item':
    <div data-role="fieldcontain"><div class="ui-grid-b"><div class="ui-block-c">with a closing </div> after each. This was working OK in 4.1
    Does anyone have any ideas what has changed that would affect this?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi,
    I haven't completely got to the bottom of why this was happening, but I have resolved this after realising the ui-grid-b and ui-block-x elements weren't being rendered, seemed to be related to the 'Before Label and Item' label template item, if anyone else hits this.
    Cheers,
    Mike

  • List View Report (theme 50 - jQuery Mobile Smartphone).

    Hi,
    I am creating a List View Report (theme 50 - jQuery Mobile Smartphone).
    I have say the following settings..
    Text Column - PRODUCT_DESC
    Link Target - f?p=111:22:......
    my PRODUCT_DESC is too long say 150 to 200 characters.
    When I run my application on mobile...
    1. when I am using the Link target, then I am not getting the complete Product Desc values displayed.. it's displaying just initial 15.. 20 characters of Prodcut Desc column and then arrow sign for link..
    2. If I am not using the Link target, then it's displays complete values of Product Desc (all the 150 .. 200 characters) and no link arrown sign.
    My question is I want to use the link target as well as want to display complete value of product desc.. any idea how can I do that..
    Thanks,
