JRE error message

Question

Hello all,
I am trying to set up a database through coldfusion and am
getting the following error: "This applet displays a file-tree of
the server to enable the user to browse its contents. Your browser
is not configured correctly to use java applets. Please install the
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and be sure to install the browser
plugins". I have downloaded the latest JRE, and java applets work
fine on my computer, whats the deal?

The environment I am working in is a web hosting service (Hostmonster.com) and I am at the place where I click on Unlimited FTP which usually brings up a two part screen with my document on the left and the hosting service's areas on the right; but that screen does not appear because I get the above message. I am using Java 6 - update 5.
Before I upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007 I had no problem with the Java applet using Microsoft Office 2003. In fact, if I got to a different computer at a local SeniorNet learning center with Microsoft Office 2003 I have no problem at all.
Anything you can do to help me solve this issue would be greatly appreciate.
