JRE1.5 swing.html parser fails to parse data between script tags
Hi all...
I've written a class that extends the java-provided default HTML parser to parse for text inside a table. In JRE1.4.* the parser works fine and extracts data between <script> tags as text. However now that I've upgraded to 1.5, the data between <script> tags are no longer parsed. Any suggestion anyone?
Steve
According to the API docs, the 1.5 parser supports HTML 3.2, for which the spec states that the content of SCRIPT and STYLE tags should not be rendered. I assume it doesn't have a scripting engine, so it won't get executed either.

Xmlparser.parse fails when parsing xml with dtd
Has anybody used successfully called xmlparser.parse in PL/SQL
to parse an xml file with a dtd? When I try I get the following
error:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20100: Error occurred while parsing: Invalid argument
ORA-06512: at "SYS.XMLPARSER", line 22
ORA-06512: at "SYS.XMLPARSER", line 69
ORA-06512: at line 6
When I remove the dtd reference from the xml file it works.
(I posted this question yesterday but no responses, so I'm
trying again...)
Thanks - DanaPlease see:

for the solution. Thanks. -
Hi All,
When i transformed or parsed many XML Files of huge size...I am getting java.lang.OutOfMemory error for all the huge xml files. It is working fine for files which is of small size.
I've 2GB ram in my system. I have also set heapsize for the JVM.
-Xms512M -Xmx1800M (or) -Xms512M -Xmx1500M
I like to know what are the drawbacks of JDOM parser ?
What is the maximum size of the Xml which JDOM can parse ?
I've read a long time before that parsers have certain limitations. Can anybody tell me the limitations of the parses?
Please help. i'm currently using jdom.jar to parse the xml files.
Thanks,
J.KathirHi All,

I've 2GB ram in my system. I have also set heapsize for the JVM.
-Xms512M -Xmx1800M (or) -Xms512M -Xmx1500MYou can't always get what you want. Your JVM is competing with all the other processes on your machine, including the OS, for RAM.
I like to know what are the drawbacks of JDOM parser ?You just discovered it: all DOM parsers create an in-memory representation of the entire document. A SAX parser does not.
What is the maximum size of the Xml which JDOM can parse ?The max amount of memory that you have available to you.
I've read a long time before that parsers have
certain limitations. Can anybody tell me the
limitations of the parses?See above.
Please help. i'm currently using jdom.jar to parse the xml files.You can try a SAX parser or a streaming parser. Maybe those can help.

SQL Loader fails loading XML data enclosed by tag not found
The problem I'm having is my XML tree doesn't contain all possible elements. In this example the second entry doesn't contain <age> - only the first entry will be added to the database
Any idea of how I could solve this?
The fields are saved as varchar2
XML:
<rowset>
<row>
<name>Name</name>
<age>Age</age>
<city>City</city>
</row>
<row>
<name>Name2</name>
<city>City2</city>
</row>
</rowset>
LOAD DATA
INFILE 'data.xml' "str '</row>'"
APPEND
INTO TABLE test
TRAILING NULLCOLS
dummy FILLER terminated BY "<row>",
name ENCLOSED BY "<name>" AND "</name>",
age ENCLOSED BY "<age>" AND "</age>",
city ENCLOSED BY "<city>" AND "</city>"
)I noticed that failure occurs when using 11g version SQL Loader. It doesn't fail when using 10g version SQL Loader.
Delimited source data comes from:
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Prod
PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production
CORE 10.2.0.4.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.4.0 - Production

CORE 10.2.0.5.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.5.0 - ProductionMy previously used SQL Loader was from:

PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production
TNS for 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

Failed to parse SQL query: ORA-01403: no data found
I'm going to post and answer my own question in the hope that others will not have to struggle with this error.
Using a report of the type PL/SQL Function Body Returning SQL and using generic columns you may run into this error
failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-01403: no data found
The SQL will run stand alone but the report fails.
There is a setting just below the source you should check:
"Maximum number of generic report columns"
In my case the number of columns was dynamic and when it exceeded the number set as the maximium number of generic columns I received the 1403 error.
Hope this helps someone.
GregThanks for much for the pointer. For anyone else struggling with this too, I found that my generic columns had unordered themselves. Reordering them solved the problem for me.

XML parser fails to convert html encoded text nodes
Under the strain of large documents this defect rears its ugly head more often. While parsing a text node containing html encoded chars i.e. < > &; etc...
The parser will seemingly forget to change the chars at random, 99.9% of the time everything is ok and the proper conversions take place:
< -> <
> -> >
&; -> &
Once an error occurs it is reproducible until the text node is changed ( values and/or order ) then it is a crapshoot again.
These tests were done using the default UTF-8 encoding, here is the exception thrown by the parser along with a portion of the text node before and after the first parsing.
Let me be clear, the parser actually succeeds the first time but the transformation of the HTML encoded pieces possibly fails. It is on the parsing of the text node value as its own document that the parser fails.

(non-lenient) date parse fails on specific day
Hi,
I need help figuring out his problem. I tried running code below using 1.5 and I always get an "unparseable date" exception.
String DATE_FORMAT = "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss";
String date = "2008-03-09 02:00:00";
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(DATE_FORMAT);
sdf.setLenient(false);
Date d = sdf.parse(date);
System.out.println(d);If the call to setLenient is omitted, the parse succeeds but the prints out "Sun Mar 09 03:00:00 EDT 2008" instead of the expected "Sun Mar 09 02:00:00 EDT 2008".
Interestingly enough, the parse succeeds for other dates (with lenient set to false). Examples I tried were ""2008-03-09 01:00:00", "2008-03-09 03:00:00", "2008-02-09 02:00:00", ""2008-04-09 02:00:00".
I need help in figuring this out. Is this a bug in the jdk itself or am I missing something.
Btw, I'm using 1.5.0_13.
Thanks.
-AnthonyWow, that was dumb of me to not think of that. I verified it and you're right. DST change was on Mar-09-2008 02:00:00.
Thanks masijade. One less headache for me.

WSSERVLET11: failed to parse runtime descriptor
Hi All
Your help will be appriciated.
I have created a simple hello world program.
Interface:
@WebService(name="HelloWorldPort",serviceName="HelloWorld" )
@SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT,

public interface HelloWorld {
@WebMethod(operationName="greet", action="urn:greet")

public class HelloWorldImpl implements HelloWorld{
@WebMethod(operationName="greet", action="urn:greet")

public Greeting createGreeting(Person per) {
Greeting grt = new Greeting();
grt.setMessage("Welcome back " + per.getFirstName() + "," +
per.getLastName());
grt.setDateTime(new Date());
return grt;
besides, i have Greeting and Person class defined.

Thanks in advance.First, you have not correctly annotated your SEI and implemenation class. If you want to use a SEI to define your web service. Then your implementation class should not have any JAX-WS/ JSR 181 annotations except the following.
@WebService(endpointInterface="whateverpackage.HelloWorld", portName="HelloWorldPort",serviceName="HelloWorld" )
public class HelloWorldImpl implements HelloWorld{
public Greeting createGreeting(Person per) {
Greeting grt = new Greeting();
grt.setMessage("Welcome back " + per.getFirstName() + "," +
per.getLastName());
grt.setDateTime(new Date());
return grt;
and the SEI should be:
@WebService(name="HelloWorldPort")
@SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT,
use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL)
public interface HelloWorld {
@WebMethod(operationName="greet", action="urn:greet")
@WebResult(name="greeting")
Greeting createGreeting(@WebParam(name="person") Person per);
This is because the SEI defines the abstract description of the web service in the WSDL which is the PortType definition. Therefore no serviceName should be specified on the SEI. The implementation class defines the concrete portion of the WSDL so it will only specify the portName, serviceName and then reference the SEI via the endpointInterface element of the @WebService annotation.
As for helping out with Eclipse I can't be of any help. You might want to give NetBeans 5.5.1 or later a try.

XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema.
I am attempting to generate the Java classes for the attached XLM schema (JMdict_e.xsd) using the following command:
oracle.xml.jaxb.orajaxb -schema JMdict_e.xsd -targetPkg generated
which results in the error "XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema."
I created the schema from a DTD file (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/jmdict_dtd_h.html) following the instructions in the example http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28394/adx_j_sproc.htm#CIHICCJB
I am using version xdk_nt_10_1_0_2_0_production.
Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks.

</xs:schema>@Bhaskar (and @user11922800): You have to update the db10g/xdk to a version at least of 10.1.0.4. There were major bug fixes including XML-32009 error (bug number 3375952).
http://www.eygle.com/case/bug10104.htm
I've even tried the op's listing with my more to-date xdk without encountering any problem and it is compiled just fine.
ps: I am sure that was the hasty typo in dvohra16 post. The namespace in the op (/2001/) is correct. Encoding is still capable of resulting in some problems (I've had encounted if I recall), but that is not the problem for the issue raised in this thread. -
LO Error 26005 Failed to parse XML
Good Afternoon,
I currently have an Xcelsius document that is attached to a Crystal Report that is in Infoview. I have it connected by using Live Office. The Crystal report basically contains a cross tab of data and is run nightly in our system. I bring back the data into Excel in order to build an Xcelsius document off of it. I havent' been using the Live Office piece all that much until recently therefore please excuse my ignorance. I setup my data connection as a Live Office connection. My server connection seems to be correct:
http://WHGCRYSTAL3:8080/dswsbobje/services/session
However, when I try to refresh the document, I get the following error:
soapenv:Server.generalException: Failed to parse XML. (LO 26005)
Any ideas as to what this could be? I have Crystal Xcelsius Enterprise 2008. The version is 5.0.0.99 and the build number is 12,0,0,121. I think I am all updated on service packs but I could be wrong. Any help is appreciated.I downloaded all of the service packs and fixes and now I am up to date. I am still getting the error with an additional error. This is what is says:
Failed to parse XML. (LO 26005) (LO 26000)
Any other ideas as to why this is happening? -

ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
Hi,
I am trying to update an already existing Sales Order through PO Change Inbound 860. When i am performing changes in the line quantity and scheduled ship date with operation code as "Update" then it is successfully updating the Order and also we are able to generate the POAck for the updated sales order lines. But when i am rejecting one of the PO change lines by checking rejected flag, then order is getting imported successfully(I mean sales order is getting updated successfully) but during the POAck Generation i.e. 865 its raising "*ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing LPX-00103: Warning: document structure does not match DTD Error at line 1*" at XML Gateway. we are using XML Gateway to process the orders, can somebody help me to get rid of this issue. Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Sunil ChauhanHi Kishan
Thanks for the reply.
Because this is an outbound transaction so i can not provide you the XML file as we are facing issue to generate the same. Also we are using oracle seeded PO outbound Ack map.
In addition i can provide you the DTD file.

-Sudheer.Hi Sudheer,
This is caused by the date format you are using. Probably it is not matching with your NLS settings. Check your NLS settings, what the date format is, and use that in the XML.
Check it with this code:
SELECT XMLELEMENT("date", sysdate) FROM dual;Make sure, you have your NLS_DATE settings in the same format.
Check it with:
SELECT * FROM v$nls_parameters WHERE parameter = 'NLS_DATE_FORMAT'And then make sure it is the same by setting for example:
ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'YYYY-MM-DD';Greetings,
Rutger
