Thanks Staffan.
Can you please direct me to where I can get JRockit R27.6? I have spent hours trying to find it on the BEA and Oracle websites but always have ended up with links to either Oracle JRockit Mission Control 3.0.3 or Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.0 which is not what I need.
Looking ahead, does BEA still have "Evaluation Support"? I have been able to report a number of JRockit bugs in the past via this route but things appear to have changed.
Best regards,
Svet

  • JRockit Crash : R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-windows-ia32

I am still getting the following crash in the latest version of JRockit. I do not have a support contract. However, at http://e-docs.bea.com/jrockit/geninfo/diagnos/crash.html#wp1005354 it says "Note that *even if you do not have a Support contract with Oracle*, you should notify Oracle Support if you have encountered a problem in the JRockit JVM. This way, Oracle can make sure that the problem is fixed in the next release." How do I report this JRockit bug to Oracle Support? I have not been able to find any means of doing this. Please note that I have a self contained test case that reliably reproduces this crash.

Without looking at your actual source code, I must still say this looks like you are trying to write registry keys that you do not have security access to, and if so, you would have to figure out how to modify your own code so that Windows will accept your operation.
If you strongly feel that this is a JRockit bug - can you test your code with another JVM and verify that it works with that JVM?

  • Where can I download JRockit 6.0 (R27.6.0-50) JDK (64-bit) (for solaris)

    Where can I download JRockit 6.0 (R27.6.0-50) JDK (64-bit) (for solaris) ?
This page indicates 27.6.5 - but that's not what all the products are certified with.

    .

Thanks Henrik. My question is for the same customer that Alex K. was asking about.
The customer has pointed out that 6.5 != 6.0 , so according to the wording in the documentation, the "all later releases of 6.0" would not apply to 6.5 releases. So the customer would need a precise statement from JRockit product management stating that 6.5 releases are indeed to be included wherever there is a reference to "all later releases of 6.0".
I did spend some time yesterday in MetaLink. Search Knowledge base -> Oracle JRockit for download gives 38 hits. I did find older versions of WebLogic Server in 763603.1, but nothing for JRockit. If there is another DocId with the JRockit downloads, what is it? Will I find JRockit 64 bit for Solaris 27.6.0 bundled in the WebLogic Server downloads? Guessing from the size of the downloads for Solaris 64bit (they are hundreds of MB smaller than other downloads) - it seems possible that the JVM is not included (I do not have a Solaris machine to install and check). Previously I had assumed the JVM was included, but then the customer wouldn't be asking where they can download from (unless they never bother to look what they installed).

  • How to get logic to save a crashed version???

Hi. Logic keeps crashing when i do things like move loads of audio a few bars later but never seems to save a crashed version. How do i make sure that a crashed version is saved everytime this happens?
    Thanks, Ben

which version of Logic do you have?

  • Which BEA WLS version (+ service packs) used which JDK/JRockit-JDK version

    Hello,
I'm looking for an overview about the JDK and JRockit JDK versions which are used in the different BEA WLS versions.
Specialy im interested on all BEA WLS server versions (incl. the different Service Packs) starting with version 7.0.
The overview should contain the following information if possible:
    - BEA WLS Version Number including SP
    - Plattform (Windows, HPUX, Solaris, ...)
    - JDK version
    - JRockit JDK version
Here is an example (??? = I do not know currently):
WLS vers. (incl. SP)|Plattf.|JDK vers.|JRockit vers.
    7.0.1 |Solaris|??? |???
    8.1.5 |Windows|1.4.2_08 |rockit81sp5_142_08
    9.2 MP1 |HPUX |??? |???
Thanks a million if somebody could provide me those information. :-x

  • Choppy Video Playback - OS X 10.8 - Player Version 11.5.502.110

Video playback is choppy using the current Macintosh Flash Player, version 11.5.502.110. It has been for some time, with the last few versions of Flash.
View any video at cnet.com or foxnews.com and the problem is readily apparent.
Downgrading to version 10.3.183.18 solves the problem.

    Thank-you for your reply, Chris!
No, I'm afraid disabling hardware acceleration and restarting Safari didn't help.
The problem occurs in both Firefox 16.0.2 and Safari 6.0.2. I'm using OS X 10.8.2.
Downgrading to 10.3.183.18, as mentioned, solves the problem in Firefox - Safari won't let me play video using an older version of Flash.
Here's but one link, found on CNET...

I've emailed a System Profile Report to your address, too.

  • Where did 'saved a crashed version' go apple???

    hello everyone.
i have to say, since ive been on snow leopard, intel machines and logic 8 and 9 logic and apple has seriously gone down in my estimation.
obviously its gone up in other ways but because of the amount of crashes and problems i get with logic and in general with everything else i just aint happy anymore.
i used to get crashed versions saved when logic fell flat on its face but for a long time i havent seen that message and i simply loose my work.
after a certain amount of work has been lost you truly start to question your future with your working method and have to re-evaluate and thats where i am right now.
i work a lot with ableton which also crashes as much as logic except it always restores my work to the last place i left off when i re-open it which is frikkkin amazing! its like a constant money back guarantee except you never need to take it back!
i wondered if there is any other folks out there that feel like i do right now and can offer any advice?
    peace out!

Force Project Save on Application Hang
by Matt on February 7th, 2010 in Advanced
Application crashes are inevitable. They will happen at one time or other and seem to strike at the most inconvenient of times. DAW apps can crash from bugs in their code or from bugs or issues with third party plugins. Sometimes, Logic is smart enough to detect a crash and save the current project as a “Project (crashed).logic” file. However, I have had Logic lock up but never completely crash on more than one occasion.
This happened to me today while working on a project. I tried to change to a screenset with a 3rd party plugin window open while the project was looping. Something caused Logic to lock up and display the spinning beach ball of death while the project continued to loop in the background. I couldn’t stop playback, change screensets, or save the project. I figured Logic would eventually crash and ask me to save, but 5 minutes later it was still going and I still couldn’t do anything. I looked at the timestamp of my project file to see when I last saved. Intstead of losing my last 10 minutes of work, I decided to figure out a way to make Logic crash and automatically dump the project. Simply selecting “Force Quit” was not an option because it doesn’t tell Logic to dump the project before quitting. After some quick testing on another machine, I found out that if you kill Logic via the terminal it will save the file as if it crashed as long as you send the correct kill signal.
Please note that this may not work in all situations.
    Here’s how to do it.
    Open Terminal.
Type ‘top’ and press enter. You will see a window like the one below.
Find the PID for Logic. In the screenshot above the PID is 8070. This number will change each time you launch Logic.
Press ‘q’ to get out of top.
Type the following command and press enter. Remember to replace XXXX with the correct PID.
    kill -s ABRT XXXX
Logic should tell you that it crashed and has saved the project for you.
Hopefully, you can proceed to reopen Logic and load the (crashed).logic project file and hopefully recover your changes without Logic crashing again.
Performing the steps above will cause Logic to save a (crashed).logic project file even if it is not locked up. So, feel free to try it on an empty project for practice. That way you don’t mess it up if you have to use it on an important project!

  • Yet ANOTHER Logic Crash and NO 'crashed' version saved?

    Hi.
I could go on here about how much crashes in Logic are driving me insane but you all know the score...
Do you know why its not saving crashed versions when it crashed like it used to?
    Thanks

Well, then you now know what you should not do. I haven't seen a DAW that doesn't at least protest when loading an instrument during playback... Cubase on Mac pre OS X always froze or crashed when I loaded an instrument during playback, even when changing presets during playback. It is a bit like trying to replace a cars' gearbox while driving...

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.
*[[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
If that works post back for further advice.
Next step, if safe mode did not work.
<u>First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously)</u><br /> that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.
    See
    * this recent post [/questions/940399#answer-377134]
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Clean_reinstall
    <u>Second: try a New Profile</u>
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#Creating_a_new_profile
    * this will be an additional profile, it is still worth backing up any existing or currently working profile on a regular basis
**[[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]
    * Until you are absolutely confident about the repercussions I suggest
** always use an empty folder when creating a new profile
** never delete or rename profiles, just disable or remove shortcuts
** after creating a new test profile open it and check for any addons or plugins that may be have been included by default

Error reports have been sent to Mozilla when system has crashed.

I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.5 - and exactly the same problem. It seemed to start with Firefox 3.6.12 and 'latest' Flash upgrade (both done at the same time). Ive tried going back to the previous versions, but makes no difference.
Seems to be on 'auto-play' news video clips within the BBC news website, the loading info is 'stats.bbc.co.uk' as the dots spin - then crash...
Very annoying - is anybody looking at this Mozilla?

I think you mean Photoshop CS2.  Photoshop 2 is from around 1992.  The old Adobe activation servers were taken down. CS2 is about a decade old Adobe made a new download for old customers that legal customers can download and install. Download Acrobat 7 and CS2 products
