JSF Custom component for table pagination and sorting

hi
i want such a custom component that render a table and table has the features of pagination and column sorting.
any one know from where i can get such a custom component.
(if this component is available with source then it would be more help full for me)

The problem? They are not open source..

Can't instantiate JSF Custom Component

I'm hoping some of you expert (or at least seasoned) JSF custom component developers might be able to lend some insight into the "Can't instantiate class" problem. I have a custom component which extends another component (which happens to be Oracle ADF's panelGroup), and I've verified that everything is in place:
1. Component class uses correct component type referenced by faces-config.xml and tag class
2. Renderer type referenced in faces-config.xml matches that of the renderer type in component class
3. There is a default constructor (no args) for the component class, which also sets the renderer type
4. TLD with tag is correct
All classes are definitely in the classpath, as I have another custom component in the same packages which loads and is used just fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

So, is no one else having any problems when using the new JSF components from Java Studio Creator 2 in their existing projects? I can make simple projects in Creator and run them on PointBase and Tomcat and can deploy and run from Eclipse using MyEclipse but I cannot get my existing project working and I am wondering if their is some sort of conflict between the new JSF components and legacy Struts stuff in that project or if perhaps Spring is someone interferering. Kind of at a loss right now...

Apply custom repeat formatting, column deletion, and sorts?

I download a .csv sales report file weekly. Is there a way to create and apply a pre-determined/custom formatting, deletion of columns, and "sorts?"
The .csv data contains the same fields/headers on each week. Then every week I go through and delete the columns that I don't need and sort the data on the same criteria. Is there a way to save these steps and apply them with each new report I open?
It would be the equivant in Photoshop, of "recording" "actions" and "playing" them on opened files.

There is no way to rtecord actions but if you describe exactly what you need, I may try to write a script doing the trick.
The most efficient scheme would be to send to my mailbox an exemple of the csv file (ten rows would be sufficient) and the Numbers document which you want to get starting from this source.

Customizing Object for table TB019?

Hello all,
Can you please tell me the Customizing Object for table TB019? The only object I could find was DNL_CUST_CUST3 but this includes TB020 and not TB019.

I think you already found the object. It is the TB020 that triggers the override. It is very often so that the language dependent tables are the ones being transferred.
A genereal methodology to figure out which load object is involved for a specific R/3-table is to go to transactionse16 in CRM and check the SMOFTABLES-table.
The field R3TABNAME is where you put in your R/3-table. It also allows generic searches such as TB0*.

F-53 and F-28, Customized columns for cash discount and %

Hi Expert,
With reference to the subject of: Customized columns for cash discount and % ...
I faced the problem of not able to set / defined hidden column for cash discount and % by creating a new variant.
Steps:
Create a variant
Click <administrator> button ... mark the columns hidden, and click <activate> button
Then click <Save> button
Problem: Every time I using the F-53/F-28, the layout is not working, and when goto check the variant settings, the cash discount and % columns remained unchecked.
SAP version: 4.6
Kindly advise.

It is not working using field status group, as I am using F-53 and F-28 and not FB50/60/70.
The purpose I want to create variant for screen after clicking <process open item> is to control column display (hide cash discount and %). if the variant is working, I can create a customized Tcode for the F-53 and F-28.
Now problem is that variant seem not working.

Cloud enabled software can be easily deployed on-premises but not vice versa.
this could probably be the deciding factory, for every customer : - )
no one would want to block their future...
so even for on-premise, its better to start with cloud and go for hybrid model and i believe
if this lock is there.....
then every on-premise solutions will have a cloud solution.....
want to see your argument on, any one thinking, i want only on-premise, and i will not be needing
cloud solutions in near future..... also for hybrid customers, cloud first and then on-premise would be pain area.

TDMS Data transfer Step : Long runtime for table GEOLOC and GEOOBJR

Hi Forum,
The data transfer for tables GEOLOC and GEOOBJR is taking too long (almost 3 days for 1.7 million records). There are no scrambling rules applied on this tables. Rather I am using TDMS for the first time so I am not using any scrambling rules to start with.
Also there are 30 process which have gone in error. How to run those erreneous jobs again??

I changed the write type for those activities and re-executed them and they are successfully completed.
Now the data transfer is complete but I see a difference in no of records for these two tables (Geoloc and Geoobjr).
Can you please let me know what might be the reason?

JSF custom component

Hi
I have created a JSF cutom component , which has some javascript files. If i use the component within the same project my path for accessing the JS files is :- js/task.js (Its in public/html folder) .
My problem is that when I use this custom component in some other project i am not able to access the js file ( Js file are deployed with other source file in ADF Library Jar) . As I have to hard code the path of JS files in the render can any one please tell me what will be the path for accessing the JS files.
i heard ADFLibraryFilter is used for the purpose. Anyone please shed more light on it.

Validation Error - JSF Custom Component

I am trying to create a Custom Component. It is a pre-populated list of selection items. So all that the page author would have to do is use a tag like
<jsfcust:mySelectOneComponent value="#{requestScope.selectedItem}/>and this should display a drop-down list from which only one item can be selected. I got this working except for the final stretch.
I created the following...
1. tag in the .tld file
2. CustSelectOneTag.java (set the value as a ValueBinding in setProperties() method)
3. CustSelectComponent.java
4. CustSelectRenderer.java (In the decode() method, called setSubmittedValue(value) on the component)
5. updated the faces-config.xml file
The display seems to be working fine. The problem is when I click on a Submit button and go to the next page where I want to display the selected value. It shows up as null. All that I want to do is be able to select an item from the custom drop down and display it in the next page after hitting submit.
What is the proper way to send the value back in the response? In my case, I was merely trying to pass the value so that the next page can access it from the request scope and display it.
I was not sure if I had to implement the getConvertedValue() method in my renderer. Can someone help?

Thanks for your reply! Your answer fixed my problems, so definitely thanks! I need to use escaped values for things like "<,&,#, etc", like the pound "amp" semicolon stuff. If I try to type out strings like these the forum unescapes them - fun part of posting forum questions about HTML escaping on HTML-based forums! :) I didn't realize an escaped querystring would still work as expected in a <a href ... />. You actually fixed both of my problems, and I... I do feel appropriately foolish now :) Had a feeling this might be a slaps forehead one. Thanks for the quick answer!,

Jsf custom component issue

I am creating a custom component and extending the renderer like the following. My custon component is similar to h:messages but inaddition to that it has hyperlink(clicking error focuses individual input box). I have extended the renderer as follows, every thing works fine but the problem is the form gets null or looses its all value when error occured, however the component works fine. I dont know why is that hapening.

The problem is, the form values that are tied to input boxes are null once validation error occurs.
I think when I am overriding that encodeEnd, this is causing the problem for the form values getting null.
IF I want to see, what are the submitted values then isn't this the way, I am getting null here also:

Methodaology to use a commom JSF/JSP page for both PDA and PC Browser

I am planing to write an application that should work on both PDA(Windows CE 4.2 Client) and PC(Desktop).I choosed JSF as it supports Rendering.Is there any methodology so that i can use a common JSF/JSP for both the client.
As the PDA browser space constrint i can not use the same page for both.
One way as i know is Conditional Component display whre there are ceparate components for PDA & PC ..But i need a methadology where in i can use same component for both PDA & PC .
I came to know about the XML rendering capability of JSF can this be used?..
can anybody please hep me in this regard.

Firefox Mobile sends "Android" in its browser identification. If the site is checking for that, then you should get a mobile page. If the site requires more, e.g., Chrome, Webkit, or some other text, then that's a problem because Firefox doesn't use those terms. With server-based redirection, you cannot see what the site is checking for.
For testing, or to work around sites not knowing about Firefox Mobile, you could try the Phony extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/mobile/addon/phony/

More than one custom Component for a Component Set

Hi All,
I developed a GenIL object from the scratch and created a component that it has it as reference. Now, I am intending to add this new component into an existing (standard) Component Set (CRM_CMG).
This component set already has a custom component and it is working fine but, after adding the second component, when trying to enter into the BSP_WD_CMPWB for the corresponding component, I am getting the following error: "BOL component set CRM_CMG does not exist; check runtime repository".
The place were I created the component and added it into the Component Set is: SPRO->Customer Relationship Management->CRM Cross-Application Components->Generic Interaction Layer/Object Layer->Basic Settings.
Does anyone know why this is happening and/or how to solve it?

If you need to perform the checks while using a maintenance view, you can do this with modification events. e.g. just implement a form that triggers your custom checks in a "before save" event... (SE55->Environment->Event)
