JSP mail

anyone knows how to send mail using JSP ... ?
can you send me the example codes for it ? [email protected]

You don't. Javamail comes in a jar file which you just put in your classpath and then you're ready to go. Of course you need to write the proper code first, but that's only a google query away.

    Regards,

    Simplest might well be to use javamail API instead of the two tags that Sites provides, e.g. see email - Sending mail attachment using Java - Stack Overflow for a full example.

  • JSP import fails unless Jars are included in the PAR

    Hello,
    We have a simple EP6 iView for displaying the Universal Worklist entries (UWL) using a JSPDynPage.
    We import the UWL library symbols and compile/use them in the Java code without problems (e.g. import com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.Item; )
    The following entry is made in the portalapp.xml file to make sure the UWL symbols are found at runtime:
         <property name="ServicesReference" value="SAPJ2EE::library:tckmcbc.uwl~api"/>
    The problem occurs when we try to import the UWL symbols into our JSP with this code:
         <%@ page import="com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.Item" %>
    The UWL symbols are just not found.  Here are the exception headers:
    #1#com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentException: Error in service call of Resource
    Component : pcd:portal_content/MikesFolder/com.lds.mlp.MikesTest1
    #1#com.sapportals.portal.prt.servlets_jsp.server.compiler.CompilingException: Error occurs during the rendering of jsp component
    Caused by: com.sapportals.portal.prt.servlets_jsp.server.compiler.CompilingException: D:/usr/sap/EP1/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/portal/portalapps/mikestest1/work/pagelet/_sapportalsjsp_helloiviewpage.java:22: package com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl does not exist
    import com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.Item;
                                    ^
    1 error
    Now if I add the bc.uwl.service.api_api.jar into PORTAL-INFlib everything is fine.  However this seems like such a 'hack'.  We really shouldn't be distributing a system file in our PAR.
    This person seems to have had the same problem with the system mail jars ( JSP MAIL ERROR ).
    Can anyone please shed some light on this problem?  Do we really have to distribute the system jars to make this JSP import work properly?
    Thanks & Cheers,
    Mike Pastor
    "always generous with points"

    Hi,
    This is exactly the portalapp.xml of the sap application com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.par
    check out the difference between this and yours?
    Dont miss out on anything important here. I think it should work.
    If you are still facing problem only while using in jsp I have a cure.
    Write a clean java class in your app which queries the apis in this jar.
    Also add sharing reference to this application in your portalapp.xml. Query your class in your jsp rather than the "standard jar"

  • How to view my email in HTML format instead of Plain Text format?

    I receive plenty of HTML format emails everyday.
    but when I check those emails on iPhone, all emails were automatically converted to Plain Text format.
    I wish to view my emails in HTML format (just as it shown in Outlook)
    with graphic (jpep loaded, instead of attachment), and Text formatting.
    Can anyone suggest me any solution?
    or do Mail apps in iPhone does not support HTML format?
    Pls guide.
    Thx.

  • PTG-004

    Hi
    I am facing the follwoing error while accessing email application for oracle 9ias wireless edition after loggin in.
    Error
    Configuration error. Error code: PTG-004. Time: 2:48:05 PM.
    while I am able to access the the Email APP via
    http://host:port/jsp/Mail.jsp?USERNAME=ABC&PASSWORD=ABC.
    am i missing anything in configuration?
    regards,
    Ravi Chand

    I have the PIM module running! It's very important to set the following value:
    # When the application is running on PTG, but not studio, then the
    # path to the application specified in ServiceDesigner "Service Trees"
    # is needed. Please check the "studio" parameter.
    # For example, if Mail is the service defined for the Mail application,
    # and it is put in a folder called "Apps" under "Service Trees", then
    # the path should be /Apps/Mail
    mail.designer.path =
    So if you have used the url adapter and you have the mail adapter in your user home folder add this line:
    /users home/user/mail/
    It should work now. Otherwise mail me for more questions.
    Regards,
    Thomas

  • How can I send attachment information to sendmail

    I am trying to allow users to upload files from my web site and then send me an email with the attachment. I am able to upload the files to my server but I am having problems including the attachments with my
    The code is simple, I just cannot seem to make the connection and make it one step.
    Here is my code:
    <%
    FileUploadBean.doUpload(request);
    out.println("Filename:" + FileUploadBean.getFilename());
    out.println("<BR>Content Type:" + FileUploadBean.getContentType());
         String mailServer = "";
    String attachment = FileUploadBean.getFilename();
         String [] to = {""};
         //String [] to = {""};
         String from = "";
         String subject = "";
         String body = "";
    subject = "Document Request";
    body = "Testing attachment\n\n";
         body = body + "test: " + attachment + "\n\n";
    the_mail.sendEmail (mailServer, subject, to ,from, body, attachment);
    %>
    email and am getting the follow error:
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP/usr/local/netscape/server4/https-kb-dev/config/../ClassCache/_jsps/_test_post_jsp.java:159: Incompatible type for method. Can't convert java.lang.String to java.lang.String[][].
    the_mail.sendEmail (mailServer, subject, to ,from, body, attachment);

    themail.class contains two parts:
    one themail--Loads the application configuration files
    two sendmail--builds the emails and sends it.
    Send Mail:
    public void sendEmail (String mailServer, String subject, String to[], String from, String messageText, String[][] filenames)
    I have the parameters in the right order, I am just not sure how to format the (String[][] filenames) so the sendmail will accept it.
    The error is occurring right here, (String[][] filenames),I am just not sure what needs to be done to correct it.
