JTable insert a row after the table is displayed.

I'm using the SunOneStudio and when I define the columns and rows for the table. My problem is that I need to have a ADD button and to be able to insert a Row to this predefined table.
I know it's pretty basic, but I'm stack in here.

    I created two Varrays

    now i inserted some rows into ee table and displayed it as:

    I updated some rows:

    and when i try to display the table data by:
    SELECT id,e2.*,e3.* from ee e1,TABLE(e1.phone) e2,TABLE(e1.email) e3;
    it only displays the rows that contain all the details like
    ID COLUMN_VALUE COLUMN_VALUE
    4 1111 aasda
    4 2222 aasda
    4 33334 aasda
    and not all the rows that are in the table which have id and phone and email as NULL
    need help to display all the rows in the table.

    Is there any small, working example with JDev 11.1.2.1 on how to programmatically insert a row in the detail table represented by the treeTable component?

    Erp, why do you keep giving the links to that example or the zip including the project of that example? I explicitly asked to not send any links to that example, which does not work with jdev 11.1.2.1.

    I have a requirment like this,
    while click on a hide/show button from the first row and last column of the table, want to display  a table(or add some rows to insert data) in between the  rows of the table and insert data in the new table .
    please help me wheather it is possible or not?

           if you want to insert rows.... then read the index of the row clicked and then read the node that is bound to the table and insert an empty row at that index and bind it back again....
           if you want another table then make use of table popin.

  • Inserting p /p after a table at the end of a document

    I am trying to allow a user to insert a paragraph after a table in an HTMLDocument. I find that the view does not allow the user to position the cursor after the table if the table is the last element in the document structure. This is the root cause of the problem and would be best solved here, however my current workaround is to look for a return being pressed in the last table cell of the table and then attempt to add a paragraph to the document structure after the table.
    This is where my current problem occurs. I seem unable to add <p></p> tags after the table without some weird things happening.
    Could someone offer the best way to add <p></p> tags after a table that has no other paragraph sections after it either using insertBefore(...) or perhaps using ElementSpecs?
    If someone could also enlighten me on how to allow the user to position the cursor after the table, this would be of much help.

    When you insert your table, insert a whitespace character... i.e. "\u00A0". This will take up space in your document to allow the caret to be placed there.

    What i have done is I make the Tree table as ".ui-sortable" and table as a "draggable".
    I am not able to find the position of the dragged item when i dropped it in the Treetable.
    Please provide me a solution.

    Do you mean setting the selectedRowKeys in the setter method of the treeTable in the Request Scoped Managed Bean?
    If that is what you mean, I tried that and there was no change in behavior. (Still does not highlight the correct row in the tree table upon execution of the next method for the bindings) Does anyone have any sample code they can provide that works?

    If you don't store the information, you can't query the information.
    Ok, there are some dribbs and drabbs of information available from the back end of the database via the SCN's, Archive Logs etc., but those sort of things disappear or get overwritten as time goes by. The only way to know the information it to ensure you store it in the first place.
    So, in answer to your question, No, there isn't a true and reliable way to get the data/time that rows were inserted into the table, unless you have chosen to store it alongside the data.

    I have created the form and have the context designed in place.
    I am facing a problem in the table I have in my adobeform.
    I am adding rows to this table dynamically using a button using "addInstance"
    Now on the webdynpro side , when I try to read this table I get a single row from this table.
    This row is always the first row of that table.
    I checked the following things from blog   /people/juergen.hauser2/blog/2006/09/12/avoiding-common-mistakes-when-using-tables-on-sap-interactive-forms  , i.e. :
    Cardinality of the node.
    Tick on the option "Repeat Row for Each Data Item".
    But still no success.

    I had found this link before and used the same solution , but unfortunately is taking a long time.
    Now what I am doing is :
    1. I append 10 rows into the table then bind it to the node
    2. Then on the adobe form I have removed the check on "Add row for each line item" because of which it shows only 1 row 
         on the form.
         Now I add rows dynamically, but this puts a limit on the number of rows can be added to the table i.e. 10.
    But this again has added problems like while displaying the form or modifying I hav to handle it seperately and cannot use the same form as it is.( as I have removed the tick for "Add row for each line item" ).

    Is this with the Travel database or another database?
    If it's another database then make sure your columns
    allow nulls. To check this in the Server Navigator, expand
    your DataSource down to the column.
    Select the column and view the Is Nullable property
    in the Property Sheet

    A question about SQL/PLSQL.
    I have a homework to create a table in SQL and to insert 10,000 rows in the table regardless of what the values are. The question is: is there a way (like a PLSQL code that has a loop) to inserts values in a table automatically without the need to insert the values 10,000 times manually?

    I think I did not explain the situation well because what I am looking for is called <b>populating a table</b> and it seems that the CONNECT BY makes a loop of a single column and that is not the case.

    Jonas, I've downloaded the sample application from your ADF UIX Editable table tip but have some problems.
    I can't even open the emp.table.uix file - errors are:
    Parsing error. Unable to parse binding.
    javax.servlet.jst.el.ELException:Function ctrl:createSortableHeaderModel was not found.
    and
    javax.servlet.jst.el.ELException:Function ctrl:getSortOrder was not found.
    Also - is there a place in the sample where you define the sample tables? They do not seem to match the standard sample emp table, for instance.
    I've just started using JDeveloper and would like to use the solution.

    Its working fine...sorry for the late reply.
    The reason behind the delay is because i had modified my code as per your logic it worked fine but the thing is that the whole column was in editable mode but not a single row.
    For E.g  If i want to edit a particular row, first i select the row and then  click on "Modify" button. After i click on the button, the whole column gets in a editable mode including the one which i intentionally selected.
    Here, the solution is that you have to set a flag in PBO so that once it is done with PBO then it need not come back again after we click on "Modify" button.
    And one more query is that after you modify a particular row in the table control ( When it is in editable mode) and click on the "Save" button, it is not getting updated to database.
    To update the database, we need to select the row once again after modifying it and click on the "Save" button.
    Here, database is updating only when it is selected again. If it is not selected, it is not getting updated.
    If you have any alternative solution, then please help me out.( I hope i am clear with the question.)

    In the first transformation I extract header level information (only 1 record line) and write this to a csv file together with HEADERS.
    In the second transformation I extract Detail level information (1 or more record lines) and APPEND this to the same csv file mentioned above together with HEADERS.
    In the third transformation I extract Footer level information (only 1 record line) and APPEND this to the same csv file mentioned above together with HEADERS.

    OpenBase powers Apple's online store, so I wouldn't think that's the problem. I'm placing all the blame on the JDBC driver.
    Funnily, I started updating ResultSets that way because executing UPDATE statements directly gave me this problem before. Doing it this way made the problem go away, until now.
    I tried replacing the INSERT with two fields with one with all the fields, and now it throws a SQL error that is most definitely bogus:
    java.sql.SQLException: SQL ERROR - [position 569, near '' in ', 0, 0, 0, ''] insert error: comma expected but not found in data.
    SQL: INSERT INTO characters (UniqueID, CodePoint, NameFirst, NameMiddle, NameLast, NameMaiden, NameCommFirst,

    At this point I have to ask myself why I ever chose OpenBase in the first place. (That's right, I had a RealBasic plugin for it. shudders) I'm sure OpenBase itself is fine, but its JDBC driver is trash. MySQL here I come.
