JTable Refreshing problem for continuous data from socket

Hi there,
I am facing table refreshing problem. My table is filled with the data received from socket . The socket is receiving live data continuously. When ever data received by client socket, it notify table model to parse and refresh the data on specific row. The logic is working fine and data is refresh some time twice or some thrice, but then it seem like java table GUI is not refreshing. The data on client socket is continuously receiving but there is no refresh on table. I am confident on logic just because when ever I stop sending data from server, then client GUI refreshing it self with the data it received previous and buffered it.
I have applied all the available solutions:
i.e.
     - Used DefaultTableModel Class.
     - Created my own custem model class extend by AbstractTableModel.
     - Used SwingUtilities invokeLater and invokeAndWait methods.
     - Yield Stream Reader thread so, that GUI get time to refresh.
Please if any one has any idea/solution for this issue, help me out.
Here is the code.

  • Shortdump problem for loadinf data from ODS to InfoCube

    hai
im trying to load the data from ODS to InfoCube. But i got the following error like below
    Short dump in the Warehouse
    Diagnosis
The data update was not completed. A short dump has probably been logged in BW providing information about the error.
    <b>System response
    "Caller 70" is missing.
    Further analysis:
Search in the BW short dump overview for the short dump belonging to the request. Pay attention to the correct time and date on the selection screen.
You get a short dump list using the Wizard or via the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> In the Data Warehouse".
    Error correction:
Follow the instructions in the short dump.</b>
I looked at the shortdump. But it says that there is no shortdump for that particular date selection.
pls tell me wht i have to do
    i ll assing the points
    bye
    rizwan

    Hi Rizwan,
Why does the error occurs ?
    • This error normally occurs whenever BW encounters error and is not able to classify them. There could be multiple reasons for the same
o Whenever we are loading the Master Data for the first time, it creates SID’s. If system is unable to create SID’s for the records in the Data packet, we can get this error message.
o If the Indexes of the cube are not deleted, then it may happen that the system may give the caller 70 error.
o Whenever we are trying to load the Transactional data which has master data as one of the Characteristics and the value does not exist in Master Data table we get this error. System can have difficultly in creating SIDs for the Master Data and also load the transactional data.
o If ODS activation is taking place and at the same time there is another ODS activation running parallel then in that case it may happen that the system may classify the error as caller 70. As there were no processes free for that ODS Activation.
o It also occurs whenever there is a Read/Write occurring in the Active Data Table of ODS. For example if activation is happening for an ODS and at the same time the data loading is also taking place to the same ODS, then system may classify the error as caller 70.
o It is a system error which can be seen under the “Status” tab in the Job Over View.
What happens when this error occurs ?
    • The exact error message is “System response "Caller 70" is missing”.
    • It may happen that it may also log a short dump in the system. It can be checked at "Environment -> Short dump -> In the Data Warehouse".
What can be the possible actions to be carried out ?
    • If the Master Data is getting loaded for the first time then in that case we can reduce the Data Package size and load the Info Package. Processing sometimes is based on the size of Data Package. Hence we can reduce the data package size and then reload the data again. We can also try to split the data load into different data loads
    • If the error occurs in the cube load then we can try to delete the indexes of the cube and then reload the data again.
    • If we are trying to load the Transactional and Master Data together and this error occurs then we can reduce the size of the Data Package and try reloading, as system may be finding it difficult to create SID’s and load data at the same time. Or we can load the Master Data first and then load Tranactional Data
    • If the error is happening while ODS activation cause of no processes free, or available for processing the ODS activation, then we can define processes in the T Code RSCUSTA2.
    • If error is occurring due to Read/Write in ODS then we need to make changes in the schedule time of the data loading.
    • Once we are sure that the data has not been extracted completely, we can then go ahead and delete the red request from the manage tab in the InfoProvider. Re-trigger the InfoPackage again.
    • Monitor the load for successful completion, and complete the further loads if any in the Process Chain.

  • Scheduling Problem for uploading Data from Flat file to SAP

    Hi guys,
I am facing a weared problem in uploading some leave records in z table. The code is working fine if we run it through se38 after selecting the file from a shared location from production server which has all the access rights.
This folder lies in the \usr folder of SAP Production.
I have kept all the Flat files in the shared path "
    Tis-mum-iz-s1\migration\SAP-INT\leave\" ...
To give u exact directory structure..
    Tis-mum-iz-s1 is the Server Name
usr is the SAP System folder used for uploads and downloads
    usr |
    ...-> Migration |
                      -> SAP-INT |
                                 -> leave -> (Flat Files)
Migration folder is shared with all rights.
Obviously, we cannot give shared drive as the variant in the scheduler.
So i use the system path i.e. \usr\sap\tmp\migration\sap-int\leave\ as the variant.
All my other download programs are working fine with this path as a variant...
But my this particular upload program does not work with this path....
I am giving u my code...

  • NIO Socket implementation - delay between select and get data from socket

    Hi all,
I have implemented a internal CallAPI for RPC over a socket connection. It works fine but if there are more than five clients and some load I have the phenomena that the READ selector returns a SelectorKey but I did not get any data from the socket.
My implementation is based on NIO has following components:
    + Accept-Thread
    Thread handles new clients.
    + Read-Thread
Thread handles the data from the socket for the registered client. Each request is handled in an own Process-Thread. A Thread-Pool implementation is used for processing.
    + Process-Thread
The Process-Thread reads the data from the socket and starts the processing of the logical request.
In my tests I get the notification of data at the socket. The Process-Thread want to read the data for the socket, but no data are available. In some situations if have to read about 20 times and more to get the data. Between each read attempt I have inserted a sleep in the Process-Thread if no data was available. This have improved the problem, but it already exists. I tested the problem with several systems and jvm's but it seams that it is independent from the system.
What can I to do improve the situation?
I already include the read implementation from the grizzly-Framework. But it doesn't improve the situation.

I've commented on that blog before. It is rubbish:
    - what does 'overloading the main Selector' actually mean? if anything?
    - 'Although this not clearly stated inside the NIO API documentation': The API documentation doesn't say anything about which Selector you should register channels with. Why would it? Register it with any Selector you like ...
    - 'the cost of maintaining multiple Selectors can reduce scalability instead of improving it' Exactly. So what is the point again?
    - 'wrapping a ByteBuffer inside a ByteBufferInputStream:' Code is rubbish and redundant. java.nio.channels.Channels has methods for this.
There is no a priori advantage to using multiple Selectors and threads unless you have multiple CPUs. And even then not much, as non-blocking reads and writes don't consume significant amounts of CPU. It's the processing of the data once you've got it that takes the CPU, and that should be done in a separate thread.
So I would re-evaluate your strategy. I suspect you're getting the channel registered with more than one Selector at a time. Implement it the simple way first then see if you really have a problem with 'overloading the main Selector' ...

    Hi
This is a Maintenance View, not a Database View
SO can't fetch data using select statement.
You can use the Table <b>T685</b> directly to fetch the condition Types data straight away instead of the view. write the same select for this table and use.

  • Problem in passing data from 1 screen to another using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.

    Hi Experts,
i am new to the SRM, i am facing problem in passing data from one screen to another.
my requirement is that when we select one shopping cart and press the PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button, we will fetch all the contracts that are attached to the shopping cart.
we have implemented a BADI implementation of BBP_SOS_BADI (method BBP_SOS_CHECK) for passing some changed values to the contracts of the shopping cart into the popup screen that is displayed when we press PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button and when we select any contract and press ASSIGN ONLY button in the popup screen the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI is triggered.
i have implemented another BADI implementation of BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI for fetching the selected contract and pass the values to another screen, but the problem is that when we select one contract and press the assign only button we are fetching the wrong contract number ( that is in the BADI method BB_SC_CHANGE parameter IT_ITEM we are fetching the wrong contract), if we again do the same procedure for the second time we are getting the correct contract.
i am unable to understand why we are getting the wrong contract in the first time( that is we are getting contract other than the selected one).
as per my understanding i think when we are passing data to the popup screen using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI we are not updating the shopping cart with the changed data.
can anyone tell me how we can update the SHOPPING CART with the changed contracts data, i have used BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE, BBP_PD_SC_SAVE and other shopping cart FM but nothing is happening.
    Thanks
    Tanveer

    Hello,
What version of SRM are you on?  Have you check for OSS Notes?  I have had trouble with BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI but it was because of other issues.  The BADI works pretty well and it is called almost every time something happens to the shopping cart.
I have noticed that sometimes that values are not changed til the second calling of the BADI.  I have yet understand why but I think it has to do with prompt processing. Usually, we train our requisitioners to click the 'Check'  button to flush things out.
I don't know if I was helpful.... another thought.... could there be an error caught by BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI that is preventing change in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI?

                     M2   TYPE  ZLT_mita-M2,
                 END  OF  ty_DAT.
DATA: it_dat        TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_dat with header line,
              wa_dat      TYPE   ty_dat.
    PARAMETERS: p_mitar    TYPE  Zlt_Mita-M2.

    Loop at it_dat into wa_dat.

    ENDLOOP.
    2) When I try to pull data from Dbase table by taking M1 as parameter.
This code is NOT succcessful and I am NOT able to populate data in internal table it_dat.
    TYPES: Begin Of ty_DAT,
                     M1   TYPE  Zlt_mita-M1,
                     M2   TYPE  ZLT_mita-M2,
                 END  OF  ty_DAT.

                           M2
            FROM     ZLt_mita
            INTO       TABLE it_dat
            Where     M1 = P_Mita.
    Loop at it_dat into wa_dat.
       WRITE:/2 wa_dat-M1,
                 10 wa_dat-M2.
    ENDLOOP.
Why is this happening when both M1 and M2 are Type Character fields.
    Looking forward for your replies.
    Regards
    Chandan Kumar

    Hi Chandan ,
Database fetch is case sensitive ,So u need to give exact format in where condition.
Make your parameter and database in same case so that you need not worry about case sensitivity .
Check the lowecase check box in the domain .
    Then declare your parameter
    PARAMETERS:
    P_Mita
    TYPE   ZLT_Mita-M1 LOWER CASE .
You can do the vice versa also by unchecking lowercase and giving Upper case instead of lower in parameter declartion .

  • Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records

    Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:
    (3260008): BIND SELECT OUTPUT BUFFER (DataWindow):(DBI_SELBIND) (0.186 MS / 18978.709 MS)
    (3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=0
    (3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=1
    (3260008): ,len=160,type=DECIMAL,pbt=4,dbt=0,ct=0,prec=0,scale=0
    (3260008): EXECUTE:(DBI_DW_EXECUTE) (192.982 MS / 19171.691 MS)
    (3260008): FETCH NEXT:(DBI_FETCHNEXT)
and this is the last line,
while for retrievals that end, I have FETCH producing time, data in buffer and moving to the next Fetch until all data is retrieved
On the side note, I have no problems with retrieving data either by SQL Developer or DbVisualizer.
Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.
    I will appreciate any comments/hints/help.
    Thank you very much.

Everything was ok.Earlier (before installing new stuff) did you ever try retrieving data from big tables (like 240 and more records), if yes, was it working?Yes, with Oracle 10g client (before installing 11g) I was able to retrieve any data, either it was 10k+ records or 100 records. Installing 11g client changed something that even using old 10g client (which I still have installed) fails to work. The same problem occur no matter I'm using 10g or 11g client now. Powerbuilder hangs on retrieving tables with more than like 240 records.
    Thanks.

BUT IF I CLICK ON INDEX.JSP, ONLY jlblTitle APPEARS. jlblnNewTitle WILL BE BLANK(this label name is supposed to fetch from database)
EVERY THING IS DISPAYING PROPERLY EXCEPT DATA FROM DATABASE!!!

  • Dynamic Internal Table for reading data from external file

    Hello All,
The task was to create a internal table with dynamic columns,
Actually this is my first task in the WebAS 6.20, my program is based on input file provided by user with certain effort. this file can have different effort for a one yr to five year frame..
I needed to read the raw data from file, based on months create a internal table to hold the data, after this i need to validate the data...
I have browsed thru dynamic internal table topic, but couldn't find any dynamic appending structure, the dynamic structure would contains 12 month fileds.
can any one help me in getting my task completed..
    Thanks

    Hi,
I see that you posted the same question a couple of days ago at Dynamic Internal Table for reading data from external file Didn't Charles's response address your problem?

  • EVDRE error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"

    Hi,
in a EVDRE we always get the error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"
When analysing this further we noticed this is always generated when a base member is selected in the CV and the expansion on the row for this dimension is has one of the following expansion settings:
    DEP
    ALL
    NOEXPAND
if we select SELF, the error disappears again and the EVDRE works fine again ... is this normal behavior?
there is no problem with application nor dimension.
    D
    solved it

Note that the keyword "ALL" does not include the member itself. This may cause some confusion, but as Harish implies, when you select a base member it finds no matches if your memberset is "ALL".
If you want to design a report to handle the user moving back and forth between base and non-base members in their CV, you either need to include SELF,ALL or SELF,DEP, or something similar....
OR you need to get a little fancier, and use EVPRO to look and see if the CV member is base -- evpro(app, member,"CALC") -- and then use some conditional logic in Excel to choose the correct expansion options. If Calc=N, use Self, otherwise use SELF,DEP or whatever you choose. This can be a bit tricky if you then want the user to be able to drill down in the report (especially if you want the workbook option to insert add'l rows on the expansion, rather than replace), but it's all possible.

But i am not getiing data from socket
    please help
    regards krunal

GeneralYerevan is absolutely right. Use URLConnection and you will get what you want. It seems to me that you do not know deeply how http works. The fact that you opened a connection to www.google.com doesn't mean that you will get data. The web server, after it accepts the socket object, waits for your request. In you case it is something like "GET / HTTP1.1", which you have to write to the stream. URLConnection does all this for you and all you have is to read the InputStream.
