JTable with Images

Hi,
I have created a Table in which each cell is displayed with Images.I am not able to select a cell. Is it possible to select an Image in a cell?
Please give me a suggestion.
Regards
senthil

Since you know how to display the images, I take it that you have developped a custom TableCellRenderer.
Pretty sure that you are able to select the cell as usual - just check the table.isSelected(...) - most probably the problem is that you don't see it ;-)I completely agree with the queen of Aegypt on the likely cause of your problem, except she probably meant you should check the value of the boolean isSelected argument that is passed to your renderer's getTableCellRendererComponent(...) method, and render the image differently if it is true.

  • Help needed on convert JTable to Image

    Hi, all
    I have made an application that can output a JTable with different colours in its every cells. Now I want to select the whole Table and put it as an Image to one of the Image Viewer Softwares(e.g. windows picture viewer).
    Is there anyone knows how to do that?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    swat.

    Now I want to select the whole Table and put it as an
    Image to one of the Image Viewer Softwares(e.g.
    windows picture viewer). If you don't have to do it programmatically, and you are working on windows, select the window with the table, Alt-PrtScr will copy just that window into the clipboard, and you can paste it into many different apps, including image views, word, so on.

  • ComboBoxRenderer on JTable - incorrect image when pressed again

    I have a JTable with a combobox (with images) the user can select an image from a dropdown box. the renderer I'm using (and I guess this is where I'm wrong) is this:
    import java.awt.Component;
    import javax.swing.ImageIcon;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    import javax.swing.JList;
    import javax.swing.ListCellRenderer;
    class ComboBoxRenderer extends JLabel implements ListCellRenderer
        public ComboBoxRenderer()
            setOpaque(true);
            setHorizontalAlignment(CENTER);
            setVerticalAlignment(CENTER);
        public Component getListCellRendererComponent
            JList list,
            Object value,
            int index,
            boolean isSelected,
            boolean cellHasFocus)
            if (isSelected)
               setBackground(list.getSelectionBackground());
               setForeground(list.getSelectionForeground());
            else
               setBackground(list.getBackground());
               setForeground(list.getForeground());
            ImageIcon icon = (ImageIcon)value;
            try{
                 setText(icon.getDescription());
            }catch(Exception e)
                 setText(""); //null
            setIcon(icon);
            return this;
    }The problem is this:
    I have 3 images (1,2,3). Say the user choose image 1 for row 1, image 2 for row 2...image 3 for row 3.
    If he wants to make a correction in row 1 (and change it to image 3) once he clicks the dropdown box he gets image 3 (?!) this is the last image he pressed. In other words, instead of getting the image he alrady pressed, he gets the last image he chose on the dropdown box.
    Any idea?

    No idea what you are talking about. Your question is about a JTable, but you code is about a JList.
    If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.
    And don't forget to use the [url http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting]Code Formatting Tags so the code retains its original formatting.
    I suggest you also start responding to previous questions berfore posting new questions.

    I want to make a slideshow to view on my television with image's duration ranging from seconds to an hour or more and I want to use my iPhone or iPad mini to control the television through my Apple tv.
    I've been unable to locate an app that will do this.  The Photos app that comes with the phone or iPad has extremely limited duration controls.  PhotoStream seems to load everything from my phone or iPad not allowing me to just load up a set group of images.
    iPhoto for iPad is getting some terrible recent reviews.  I tried a couple other free apps but they don't use Airplay.
    I can do something like this with iPhoto and my MB Air, but it's kind of ugly to have the computer open in order to connect by Airplay to my Apple TV.  I've thought the iPad or iPhone would be a lower profile controller.
    Am I out of luck?

    Thanks for your help.  Since I'm uninterested in loading all my photos (the only option) into photostream, I won't be able to use the settings in ATV.  I guess I'm just stuck with using iPhoto on my MB Air.  Thanks again.

  • Online banking site now shows login page as text-only; on different computer it still shows page with images and clickables -- is there a fix?

    Previously when I logged in to my INGdirect online bank account, the login window came up showing images and clickable hotspots. Recently, the login window changed to a text-only version. On two different computers running Firefox, the login comes up in the previous version, with images and clickable hotspots. I'm unaware of having done anything to change my settings either in Firefox or on the banking website. Because it seems to be localized on this computer, I've tried downloading latest version of Firefox, but got no change, login still comes up in text-only format.

  • Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

    I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.
    Thanks in advance
    Atishay

    I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
    long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
    pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
    100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to
    email or process effectively. Does anyone know how to reduce
    size/processing?

  • Text jobs with images - printer cancels

    When I print a text document with images the printer stops printing and cancels the print job when it starts to print any image.

    Hey @sudiegal!
    Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
    I would be happy to provide some suggestions that may resolve the issue.  I can see that the printer cancels the jobs when you add a photo to you text document.  The first thing I suggest is to remove the printer by resetting the print system.  After the printer is removed re-add the printer and try printing the document again.
    To reset the printing system:
    1. Click the Apple icon at the top left of the computer
    2. Click System Preferences
    3. Click Printers and Scanners
    4. Hold down the "control" key on the keyboard and click with the mouse in the white space bellow the printer
    5. Click reset printing system dropdown
    6. It may ask for Mac ID and will color wheel for a moment until the printer is removed
    To re-add the printer:
    1. Click the Apple icon at the top left of the computer
    2. Click System Preferences
    3. Click Printers and Scanners
    4. Click the plus (+) icon under the printers list
    5. Select your printer
    6. Choose HP ENVY 7640 series in the dropdown next to "use" or "print using"
    7. Click add
    Please post back and let me know if this works out for you!

    First of all, i would split the subjects column.
    If you for sure only need up to 3 subjects, you could make three columns subject1, subject2, subject3.
    If you may have an indefinite number of subjects for each teacher, you might create a detail-table with the subjects for each teacher.
    I also would create a list of values for the subjects, either based on static values or based on another table with the subjects allowed.
    Now that the subject-names are fixed you could create a subject-image for each subject, named as the subject itself. Then you "construct" the image for each subject as
    <img src="#APP_IMAGES##SUBJECT_NAME#.png"/>

    I have created two related Blurb books in Lightroom 5 (Volumes 1 and 2) but my balance of page numbers is off. So I'd like to take some pages out of one book (complete with images) and paste them into the other. Is this possible?

    Can you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

  • How to populate a page with images in across/down direction?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to populate a page with images in across and down direction (for example 6 X 6 )? It seems that I cannot use data table because records are only running downward and each row can have one record.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks.

    Alex,
    You can create your own tabular form using APEX_ITEM API's
    Create report and you can put similar code to following
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.TEXT(1,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col2) pk2 FROM your_tableSo data will be displayed in TEXT boxes as if it's a tabular form. Now you need to handle INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE processes manually. You can easily handle INSERT and DELETE. But handling UPDATE can be a nightmare. What if user has updated both the column values?
    Updated details
    One way out would be to use ROWID as Primary key to handle DELETE and UPDATE
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,ROWID) tick, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(3,col2) pk2 FROM your_tablebut yet I suggest to go for proper primary key..

  • How to use recursion with images

    Ok, for this program I'm trying to recursively repeat an image 3 times with varying widths and heights, and I don't know how to do that with images. With rectangles and other shape objects it's easy because all I had to do was override the draw method, but with images I'm not sure what to override to allow me to repeat the drawing of it with a different height and width. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Would I be able to work that in with recursion? Currently I have a JPanel with the paintComponent method being overridden, and I've tried setting up the paintComponent method to call itself to repaint the image, but I've realized everytime I resize the application's window paintComponent gets called again making the images go out of site. Is there a way to override the drawImage method to allow me to change the width and height of the image without causing the panel to repaint itself?
