Junk characters in data transfer Program

Hello ABAP gurus,
i am facing the problem in an custmom made ABAP Interface program. the program has an option of downloading the files in local system(Windows system) and in Unix system (AL11). when i dwnload the files locally and feed that file to a CRM system, the CRM processes the file correctly but in case if we schedule a job then the CRM reads the file from Unix system and generates an error showing the junk characters for the special european characters. please request you guys to help me in this regard.

Hi,
When you download the file locally are able to see the junk character in the file.
Logon on to the unix system and check the file content there and if any junk characters are there, usually when we upload the file then you will have those junk character being populated at the end of the record, open the file in unix and then remove those characters and reprocess that again, it will get through.

Error 7 occurred when generating the data transfer program

Hello All ,
In Master Data Load Process Chain , we get error like
1. System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Diagnosis
Error 7 occurred when generating the data transfer program for the requested InfoSource.
System Response
The data transfer is terminated.
Procedure
Check the SAP Support Portal for the appropriate Notes and create a customer message if necessary.
Note : We faced this issue for two days now . Just repeating the load make it success .
If any one faced and fixed this issue . Please let me know .

Hi,
. Initially goto transaction SE38, Run the program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL. Give your Datasource name, and source system and check the check box for "Only Inactive objects".
This will actiavate the given datasource.
2. Replicate the datasource in RSA1.
3. Try to schedule the infopackage for the datasource which you have activated now.
4. IF infopackage runs through, Repeat the process for all datasources ie uncheck the check box, which means it will activate all datasources for the source system.
Also make sure that there will be enough Back Ground Processor available....

Why Plan version changes from active to never use, when we do manual data transfers(RHMOVE30) for OM objects.

plan version doesn't change. There are still the objects in active planvariant. .: is only used by the report to export and import the objects. You don't have to carry about.

I have one basic question need to be clarified:
I have one file contains 100 records, I have to upload this file to sap.
My question is :
suppose 80th record is the error record, what will happen if I am doing this using session metod?

Qn No: 1) No data will be saved .
2) The error record wont be saved. In your case all the records except 80th record will be saved using call transaction ( Foreground) .
3) No data will be saved .

Report Pdf output getting Junk characters for some boiler Plate fields

Hi All
For Dunning Letter Report registered in Oracle Applications,made changes in Column headings like added customer number as Kunde for German Letter
but in pdf output it's appearing as junk characters even date field is happening like that. It's happening for German, Spanish, Italy and French Letters. Working ok for Netherlands, English.
any input to fix this solution will be great

Maybe you check the NLS_LANGUAGE-settings on the client where you "edit" the reports-definition.

XML gateway program loading Junk characters

Hi,
Its. EBS R12.1.3
We have one interface XML gateway from through which it loads data into apps standard table. It's loading junk characters as tabs, spaces.
Source Characterset is default characterset we8mswin1252 & target characterset is UTF8
Please advice how to resolve this issue. Is there any way to resolve this junk data issue entering it in target.

If you are using UTF8, direct PDF printing is not supported. Has the barcode font been installed ?

Could you please give me the step by step procedure for printing the Output with barcode labels..

Junk Characters while persisting data with CMP beans

when i am entering some data and saving the data to the data base using CMP beans ,its converting the data to junk characters like ��@y some times .Do you have any idea why its happening ?pls respond asap

Use setup assistant which is offered when you setup your new Mac. It will transfer information from a Time Machine backup, Clone or another Mac.
It's best to do this during setup to avoid issues with duplicate IDs.

Barcode related Template output Printing Junk characters in XML Publisher

Hi Gurus,
Could you please help me out..
I have a bar code related Template and registered to Concurrent Program(i.e. Report type as Executable) and i run the Program in PDF Output.
I am using free "3 of 9 font" for Bar code in my template
Problem Occurrence Procedure
1) When i submit the Concurrent Program and Click the View Output Button
2) the out put looks good with Bar code and Text in Table Format.
3) when i assign a printer, while Concurrent Program Submission then the printer prints output with Junks Characters and no data in it.
4) if i save the PDF Output file in Desktop and give print then it prints Good with barcode and text in Table Format.
The main problem is when printer is assigned to the Concurrent Program while submission of Request then the Printer output is printing Junk Characters but through View Output Button in Request Window we get Barcode Output Good with data in it
Could you please give me the Solution in Step by step Procedure

Fwrite (junk characters)

I have problem with this code it put the junk data in output file :

An one more thing , there is another copy paste error , actually i have intialized the fil_data to before being used using the memset (),
even then it is giving an awkward behaviour i.e creating junk characters.
As i know, before inserting data to char array it should be intialized with '\0'.
And i have done that in both the char arrays, even then when i write the data to file , it is inserting junk characters.
But if i use the strlen() inplaeof sizeof in the fwrite() API , then junk characters are removed.
And also if i use the Fprintf() , then also junk characters are removed.
I couldn't understand the difernet behviuour of the 2 API's.
Alhtough both of them are writing to the file.

This code is working properly and i am able to send mail with attachment and html formatted content without any problem. But console of server is filled up with too much junk characters because of which the catalina.out file of tomcat server is becoming fully filled.

Like this display of junk characters are filling up multiple pages of console file.
Can any one suggest me how to overcome this problem?

There is no "sendmail" method in the JavaMail API.
The debug flag is set using the Session.setDebug method, or by setting the Session property "mail.debug".
If you're using someone else's helper classes with JavaMail, they may provide another way to set it.

Init w/o data transfer shows Added/Transfrd - 1/1

Init w/o data transfer load was successful after having applied Note 689964 - ODS object: Switching from a full to delta upload !
I have two weird ( nt sure ) issues below :
Issue 1
On Manage screen I see Added - 1 & Transferred - 1, however I dont see this record in the DSO ( Display data ).
Why is that so ?

Issue 2
All seems green excepting when I go check the Details Tab - I see some reds
DataStore Activation (Change Log) : Errors occurred
No data targets selected for update. Action terminated.
InfoPackage ZPAK_*** could not be started by Bapi_ipak_start
Errors in InfoPackage check for DataStore 0CCA_O09 ; no update possible

--> When you do a init with out data transfer, system transfers one record that is not corresponding to the data, but is a control record corresponding to the init selections.

---> It is because you dont have a active update rules maintained for the infosource to the data target, or you have not selected any data target in the infopackage , it can also be the case that the infopackage which generates a program to start the load is having some errors, if possbile create another infopackage and start the load with active Update rules to data target.

Data transfer b/w SAP to Java using IDOC and Interface SAP Jco

Dear Experts,
The challenging requirement we are having is, we need to create the interface for data transfer between SAP system and the Java system. The data will be transferred from SAP to java and similarly once some processing done in Java again the details needs to be transferred from Java to SAP.
For this data transferred we are planning to use IDOC process and for interface "SAP Java connector (Version 3.0.5)" we are planning to use. As per our understanding, from Java side one program needs to be written to connect with SAP as "Registered program". This registered program will appear in SAP GATEWAY automatically and using tRFC, TCP/IP connection both SAP and Java system will be connected.
In this case we are having some doubts.
1. The data from SAP is going to be transfered from one Custom transaction (Z tcode). Once "Outbound IDOC" will get triggered and will carry the details. Now the doubt is, whether the data / details will get transfered to JAVA system automatically or we need to perform any other steps from SAP ABAP coding...(like converting in to flat file, XML file and etc) ??
2. We are planning to install "SAP Jco" in Java server. Is this correct...??
3. Other than SAP Jco any other softwares needs to be installed or not..??
4. Since we are going to trigger the "outbound IDOC" from custom transaction, we are planning to develope one program in SE37. Other than this any other program we need to develop or not..??
5. Any sample Java program for the SAP Jco version 3.0.5 to create the "Registered program" with SAP..? (e.g. SAP Listener program).?
If anybody has detailed steps or explanation please share it with us.

Hi All,
For the above mentioned issue, we implemented JCo software in JAVA system and created the JAVA program including SAP logon credential details like Client, User name, password and Language details.
When this JAVA program was compiled successfully then, that non SAP system will appear in SAP gateway Tcode.
Once non SAP system started appearing in SAP gateway that means, both SAP & Non SAP are connected automatically.
