Junk Characters line at the Receiver MAIL

Experts,
My Scenario is File-to-MAIL and i have used XSLT mapping.
I'm getting correct output but at the end of the ouput i'm getting unwanted data. Could you tell me the reason;
Note: I have browsed throuth the threads but non helped me.

Boodi,
Try for < as < and for > as > and see whether your issue will be resolved. I mean put like this:
<br>  for
and
<table> for

Also please see Prakash blog for the same requirement:

When deleting a user created folder from On My Mac in Mac Mail the sent messages that are part of conversations that reside there are not deleted, only the received mail gets deleted. Any way for both the received and sent mail that resides there to be deleted?
I create a lot of project folders where i keep all my conversations regarding the project. Once the project is finished i would like to just delete the folder and get rid of all the emails associated with it but when i delete the folder i've noticed that only received messages are deleted. Now I am stuck trying to sort through my sent folder for messages that were returned there after the conversations was supposedly deleted.

Mail/Preferences/Viewing - un-check include related messages, delete the folder, then go back and reset yo include.

• How to remove characters/lines from the beginning of an InputStream

Hi,
I have a program which receives several InputStreams. From each of these streams I have to remove 2 lines from the beginning. After the lines are removed, all the streams are combined to one with SequenceInputStream and read in one chunk. Is there an easy/simple way of doing this?
One option I thought would be to read the char by char until 2 end of line chars have been detected and then read the rest of the data to a buffer. And the create a ByteArrayInputStream out of this buffer. Problem with this approach is, that the amount of data can be large, so putting all the data in to memory might cause problems.
Another option is to use BufferredInputStream and use the readline() method twice to get rid of the lines that are not needed. After this I would write the data to some output stream, which is then converted back to input stream. Propably would work, but sound too much of work for a simple thing like this. There has to be better way.
To make it simple, what I need is a method that looks like the following, or something similar
* Removes n number of lines from the beginning of a InputStream.
* @param is InputStream where the lines are removed
* @param numberOfLines int value to indicate how many lines whould be removed
* @return InputStream where lines have been removed.
public InputStream removeLines(InputStream is, numberOfLines);Thanks.

Here's the code, feel free to use it. Comments are also welcome.
public InputStream removeLinesFromTheBeginning(InputStream is, int numberOfLines) throws IOException
char c = 'c';
int i = 0;
for(int n = 0 ; n < numberOfLines ; n++)
do
c = (char)is.read();
System.out.print(c);
if(c == (char)-1) // end of stream reached before any newline characters were found.
return null;
i++;
while(c != '\n');
System.out.println();
System.out.println("Characters removed:" + i);
System.out.println("n: " + n);
i = 0;
return is;

• Email content line feeds using receiver mail adapter - HELP!

Hi all,
I have read the threads on how to download the XSD from SAP for creating a mail message type with dynamic To and From addresses and this is working fine. However, I am unable to create multiple lines in my mail message. I have the following parameters in my config:
XML2Plain - Transform.Class - com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
XML2Plain - Tansform.ContentType - text/plain;charset=utf-8
XML2Plain - xml.conversionType - SimpleXML2Plain
XML2Plain - xml.addHeaderLine - 0
XML2Plain - xml.fieldFixedLengths - 12,150
XML2Plain - xml.fixedLengthTooShortHandling - Cut
XML2Plain - xml.fieldSeparator - '0x0D''0x0A'
I have not changed the message type in the Design so the mapped Content field currently just contains one long line of 162 characters (as does the resulting email). I want 12 characters on the first line and 150 characters on the second line. Do I need to concatenate something between by 12-character and 150-character strings to achieve this? Do I need a line.Separator parameter in my module configuration?
Many thanks,
Stuart Richards

Hi Sreeramulu,
As mentioned by Lucas, you can use the UDF. Inn addition to that, you need to define the Variable Headers under Variable transport binding after enabling the Adapter Specific Message Attributes.
For the Enabling ASMA, follow the below steps and check for the variable attributes.
Select the Advanced  tab page.
To save adapter-specific attributes in the message header of the XI message, select Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes and Variable Transport Binding.
The following attributes in the message header are then available for processing:
○       User: (technical name: TServerLocation)
○ Authentication key: (technical name: TAuthKey)
The following mail header fields are available for processing:
○       From: (technical name: THeaderFROM)
○       To: (technical name: THeaderTO)
○       Cc: (technical name: THeaderCC)
○       Bcc: (technical name: THeaderBCC)
○       Subject: (technical name: THeaderSUBJECT)
○ Reference to the mail that is to be replied to: (technical name: THeaderIN-REPLY-TO)
○ Reply to: (technical name: THeaderREPLY-TO)
○ Mail client program: (technical name: THeaderX-MAILER)
○ Send confirmation of receipt: (technical name: THeaderDISPOSITION-NOTIFICATION-TO)
○       Priority: (technical name: THeaderPRIORITY)
○ Importance of message: (technical name: THeaderIMPORTANCE)
To transfer further header fields, set the relevant indicator for Variable Header. The technical names for the fields are XHeaderName1, XHeaderName2, and XHeaderName3.
The parameters are included in the mail header under the names specified here.
The attribute namespace for the adapter is http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail.
Thanks,

• Configuring the Receiver Mail Adapter

Hi,
I have to send data in a flat file via email using XI. I have configured a File adapter to read the XML file from sender. I have configured receiver mail adapter at the other end. I get success message in the SMXB_MONI transaction. But no mail is received.
My receiver communication channel settings are as follows:
Adapter type: Mail
Transport protocol: SMTP
Message protocol: XIPAYLOAD
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
URL: smtp://mail.xyz.com:25
Mail Attributes: Use Mail package (Source file has from/to Email Addresses)
I tried differnet cmobinations of SMTP server address (with/without port/using http:// etc), but no success.
Can anyone tell me what the problem could be and how to go about this?
Thanks in advance.

• Junk characters coming in the PDF report for Lithuanian language

hi all,
I am facing a problem like some junk characters are coming while generating the report in PDF format in Reports 10g.
Junk characters (i.e something like revere of ?(question mark)) coming only for the special characters in the report when my application language set it as LITHUANIAN_LITHUANIA.UTF8.
Actually our application is supporting multi langauges; like English, German, French, Lithuania etc.
And in the Forms the the characters are appearing correctly... but while generating reports only i am having this issue for LITHUANIAN language.
I am using back end as Oracle 10g verision 2, and front as Reports 10g only.
Is there any way to resolve it?
thanks in advance
renjish

Hi,
I updated the reports.sh which is in Oracle Home path initailly and tried the report. But its not coming properly, some other junk characters are appearing now for the special characters
For e.g:
Actual English word: Funct. Group Poultry Parts Fresh
Correct Lithuanian Word: Funct. Grupė naminių paukščių dalių, šviežios
In Report: Funct. Grupė naminių paukšĕių dalių, šviežios
Steps i have done:
1. Modified reports.sh with nls_lang as LITHUANIAN_LITHUANIA.UTF8
2. Run the report, output was coming like above e.g.
Is anything wrong what i did?.
or Report engine(reports.sh) will support multi-languages by using the Environment ID only(as you explained before, putting ENVID in repserver.conf - reportserver.)
thanks

• Loop in the received mails

Hello,
When I received a message from the external, I have a "loop" in my mail flow. I have not a problem with the receiving but it is strange.
My headers are the follow :
Received: from exchsrv.domain.com (192.168.1.x) by exchsrv.domain.com
(192.168.1.x) with Microsoft SMTP Server (TLS) id 15.0.1044.25 via Mailbox

Received: from exchsrv.domain.com (192.168.1.x) by EXCHSRV.domain.com
(192.168.1.x) with Microsoft SMTP Server (TLS) id 15.0.1044.25; Fri, 24 Apr

Received: from antispam (192.168.1.x) by exchsrv.domain.com (192.168.1.x) with
Microsoft SMTP Server id 15.0.1044.25 via Frontend Transport; Fri, 24 Apr
2015 13:05:07 +0200
Note the uppercase in the second receive.
I do not really understand when the problem could be.
Thanks

Hi ,
Did you get NDR for message looping ? or else you have taken the above trace from the message headers of the received email.
If that the above headers was taken from the delivered email then it was not looping and it is an normal behavior in exchange message routing process.
Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham

you say sometimes it's truncated.
What means sometimes ?
Is it depending on the receiver of the data or the program name or what else?

• Modifying Unit Price of Parchase Order Line by the Receiving Open Interface

I’m using the” Receiving open Interface” to make receptions of standard purchase orders line by interface (RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE) and what I need is to change the unit price of the item in the line of Purchase Order,
the idea is that it takes the value that I’m populating by the interface table “RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE” and not the value that is in the Standard purchase Order line (unit_price)
It´s possible to do that in this way?? How can I do that??

• Rename the zip file and send it using the Receiver Mail Adapter

Hi,
We have a custom module that will create multiple attachments. The result is then passed to the PayloadZipBean, which zips as per required.
When we output this to a file adapter, we provide the file name as say "zippedfile.zip" the result is as expected.
For example, if the custom module created 3 attachments with the names as file1.txt, file2.txt and file3.txt, the zip file zippedfile.zip, will contain 3 files as file1.txt, file2.txt and file3.txt.
The issue that we are facing is when we use the mail adapter, the zip file is getting renamed to file1.txt.zip i.e to say that it takes the name of the main payload from the custom module (file1.txt)
TextPayload txtpayload = message.getDocument();
txtpayload.setContentType("text/plain");
txtpayload.setName("file1.txt");
moduleData.setPrincipalData(message);
We tried using the MessageTransformbean but it doesn't seem to change the name of the file.
Not sure where we are going wrong. Is it that the output of the payloadzipbean cannot be used and altered by MessageTransformbean?
Is there any alternative as to rename the name of zipfiles and use it in the mail adapter?
Appreciate any help on this regard.
Regards,
Shabz

Solved.
use Transform.ContentDisposition - attachment;filename="youfilename"
Do read the mail adapter FAQ.
The parameter can vary for different mail client.

Hi Teresa,
I think the problem is that you are using multiple "Content" tags. Have you tried to use only one?, you can concatenate all your text.
Check the page 3 of this document to know how introduce new-line character http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d0964d7c-e66e-2910-24bb-ac535e4a5992?overridelayout=t…

• Receiver Mail Adapter message with PDF attachment

Hi.
We are trying to generate emails from the mail adapter that includes the plain text in the body of the resulting email and an attached PDF file. We receive the following structure:

<ns0:newMailRequest_MT xmlns:ns0="http:/pdk/sap/TorstenTest">
<Sender/>
<Receiver/>
<BodyContent/>
<Subject/>
<Attachment/>
</ns0:newMailRequest_MT>
I have set up an interface and mail adapter to be able to produce emails with plain text in the body. I used SAP note 748024 for this.
So right now I can make XI send emails with dynamic mail addresses. My problem lies in sending attached files with the mails as well.
I have read most of the threads in here, but none of them seem to answer just how to include the attachment. Which field in the 'Mail' message type is used for the attachment??
What needs to be added to the communication channel and adapter for it to include attachments, while the body of the mail still keeps the plain text message??
