Just few photos in photo stream on iPhone

Hi,
I've reinstalled my iPhone. But after enabling photo stream, it shows only 51 pictures. My ipad shows about 200 photos. Why it didn't sync all of them to the iphone too?

Hmm, I see. That might be the problem. I thought that it sync last 1000 pictures.
Thanks for explanation

  • When you use icloud to back up your iPhone does it delete the camera roll after 30 days or just the photo stream?

I have my phone backed up to icloud but for unnamed reasons I cannot restore from icloud back up at the moment. I'm worried about my pictures. Will the back up of the camera roll delete after 30 days or is that just the photo stream?

The statement is directly from Apple and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
Keep in mind, pictures showing in PhotoStream does not mean they will be there when a new device is added, only that they have been downloaded by the device they are displaying on.
In other words, if a new iDevice is added to the account, it will only download the last 1,000 pictures taken in the last 30 days, not every picture showing on other iDevices in PhotoStream.

  • Transferring photo stream from iPhone 4 to 4s

I just switched from an iPhone 4 to a 4s. I made sure that my recent photos were backed up in photo stream but not on my computer before I did this. Is there anyway to access those photos from my new iPhone? They are not showing up in my new photo stream even though I am signed into my iCloud account.

If the photos were uploaded to photo stream more than 30 days ago they will not be available to download to a device which just enabled photo stream on the same account.  (Photos older than 30 days will remain in the photo stream folder on your device if they are already there, but will not be availalbe to newly connected devices.)  If that's the case, you'll have to import the photos from your iPhone 4 to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) then put them in a folder and then sync them to your 4S by putting selecting to do so on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • Do iCloud Backups include all of my phone's photos or just the Photo Stream?

Do iCloud Backups include all of my phone's photos or just the Photo Stream?

I have only restored an iPhone from a back-up on my computer and when I was done I could not tell the difference between my old phone and the new restored one.
If I do a restore from iCloud will I get the same results?
(due to hard drive space limitations, the phone I am replacing/restoring has never been backed up to the computer only iCloud)

  • My iPad will not sync photo stream from iPhone

My iPad ios7 will not sync my photo stream. It only received 1/4 of my photos. My iPhone ios6 has the correct photo stream. Tried Turing off photo stream on iPad, afraid to turn off photo stream on iPhone as I may lose data. I know the photo stream limit is 1000 so I keep it at 900. iPad is fully updated. iPhone all apps are fully updated. Same Apple ID is signed in across 2 devices for iCloud. Both are backed up on same wifi. Loading iTunes just to back up photo stream seems silly but maybe forced to.     Thank you.

    Check this out - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4486.
How long are My Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud?
The photos you upload to My Photo Stream are stored in iCloud for 30 days to give your devices plenty of time to connect and download them.

  • Photo Stream putting iPhone to capacity

I am running 7.0.4 on my iPhone.  I know there is an update, but haven't updated yet to most recent update yet.
I have Aperture 3.5.1.  On Mavericks.
I have set Photo Stream on for all my devices (iPad, iPhone, Aperture).  I also said auto upload from Aperture to iCloud/Photo Stream.
I run into a problem every now and then.  I take LOTS of pictures at specific events of my kids.  I have LARGE files for each picture as I have a high MP camera.  So, end of May, I had Field Day... hundreds of pictures.  I had end-of-year school picnics... hundreds of pictures... You see the pattern.  My Photo Stream has hit 1000 pics...
My camera has a 16GB capacity and is no longer collecting email because it is so full.  I like having all my pics show up on my devices (even the ones from my camera that I had to upload to Aperture.).  However, I'd be fine if it only showed up on my iPad.  But, I'd still want my iPhone to upload to Photo Stream (backup measure and reduces number of times I have to hardwire to my iMac).  Assume there isn't a way for iPhone to opt to only upload but not download from Photo Stream (maybe even at selective times when I have a bloated 30 days of photos)?
Otherwise, is there a way for me to select some photos I don't care about being on Photo Stream and therefore not being delivered to all my devices?  Will the devices auto update (remove those photos from photo stream on those devices) based on that or do I need to refresh somehow?  Does that delete the picture from my library in Aperture or just from Photo Stream?  Will it repopulate it anyways since it will be in the past 30 days?  Another thing I couldn't find was an adjustment of how many days remain in Photo Stream (maybe I could reduce it to 15 days)?
If none of the above works, what happens if I turn Photo Stream off on my iPhone?  Do I lose any pics?  Will it automatically remove the Photo Stream pics?
SORRY... IT WON'T LET ME MOVE THIS TO IPHONE FORUM... IT SAYS I AM NOT AUTHORIZED...

When you enable the Photo Stream on your iPad and iPhone to be able to stream the photos to all devices, you cannot prevent the iPhone from downloading and showing all photos in the Photo Stream.
To keep this from filling the iPhone memory completely, be frugal with the amount of photos you are adding to the Photo Stream.  If your iPad has plenty of space, download and save the photos from the Photo Stream to the iPad Camera Roll and on your Mac to an event (for example, by setting the Mac to auto import from the Photo Stream).  Then delete the photos from the Photo Stream, either on your Mac or the iPad. This will remove them from iCloud and from the Photo Stream on all devices. Since you saved them to the Camera Roll on your iPad, you will still have them on the iPad, but not on the iPhone.

  • I have few photos in my iphone messages. How can i save these on mac?

    Hi,
I have few photos in my iphone 4S messages. I want to save these on my mac. How can I do this? Please suggest

The other way is to tap the blue arrow to the right of the photo, when the photo opens tap the arrow on the top right, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Repeat this for each photo you want to keep.  When finished, import the photos to your computer using usb as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  Or, for greater control, use an app like PhotoSync to select the photos you want to transfer, then transfer them to your computer using wifi.
To save the entire message conversation is going to cost you some money.  The best 3rd party software for this in my view is PhoneView (Mac only) or Touch Copy (PC or Mac).  If you want to do it for free, you'll either have to take screenshots of the conversation or email just the text of the converstion to yourself.

  • Ipad missing...pictures appearing in photo stream on iphone

My ipad went missing last Sunday 3rd August whilst staying at my aunts house abroad. In the house it was just me, my aunt, my cousin and my 4 year old. No one had entered the house so we figured it must be in the house somewhere. My 4 year old did leave the house with it in her backpack but my aunt swears blind that she returned to the house with it and didn't lose it while out (they went to another aunts house who also searched her house just incase and says its not there...she also says she remembers my daughter putting it in her bag and leaving with it) ...it was also not in the car. We searched the house all week and by the end of the week we packed out bags to fly back to England on Sunday 10th August. Ipad was never found and I accepted it was lost. On Tuesday 12th August I was going through my iphone 4s which I had left in England and has been untouched since June. In my photo stream I discovered approx 30 pics of my cousins friend in his bed, his room, outside his house etc. All taken between 7th August-10th August....(ipad been missing since the 3rd)  to me this only means one thing ..I was very shocked as I thought very highly of him and because I know he didn't access the house  I suggested that my cousin was somehow involved (my cousin has a rep for taking and lending  people things alot  without asking) . I sent the guy a message and he came across very hurt  and denied it. My  aunt and cousin are also now not speaking to me because I suggested that my cousin knew some thing  about this.  Im very confused right now. I I'm being made out to feel bad for accusing this guy of having my ipad. Am I right to believe he definitely has it or are there other ways those pictures could have  somehow ended up in my photo stream. Thanks

Thanks for reply...i do know the answer just that everyone is making me feel terrible for accusing this guy. Since I've met him I've always got on with him very well and my daughter is very fond of him so when I made the discovery of the pics in my photo stream I was very shocked. Also knowing that no one had access into the house around the time it disappeared and the fact that it had a pass code which only my cousin knew, led me to believe my cousin knew something about this. My aunt is now extremely upset with me now for thinking that my cousin is somehow involved...which is something that really upsets me as she's like a mother to me. The guy is denying it and keeps telling me he hasn't got it, hes being honest with me and that he will even help me to try and locate it. One part of me knows the answer...the other part really doesn't want to accept it. I don't like accusing people of stealing and this has been bothering me alot in the past few days..just wanted someone else's take on it all. Thanks

  • Photo Stream on iPhone not downloading all photos? (iOS 5.1)

I have my Photo Stream filled up at 1000 photos. My iPad sees them all. My Mac sees them all. Even my Apple TV sees them all.
But for some reason, my iPhone only shows about 35 photos in my Photo Stream. I've disabled and then enabled photo stream several times. Even rebooted. I did a fresh install of iOS 5.1, and still, its only showing my last 35 photos in Photo Stream.
Is there any way to force an iPhone to re-download all 1000 photos in the Stream?
    Thanks!

I fixed this issue myself. Net: iPhoto is lying - the iPhone is telling the truth. All the photos iPhoto said were in my Photo Stream actually were not.
On my Mac, System Preferences -> iCloud, I unchecked Photo Stream, then signed out of iCloud. It asked me whether I wanted it to keep or delete my contacts and other things from the Mac - I told it to delete them.
iPhoto then showed me that the Photo Stream was empty, and asked if I wanted to turn it on. Instead, I logged back into iCloud on the System Preferences panel. Photo Stream was still unchecked, but I went back to iPhoto and now chose the option to turn on Photo Stream there. After a minute, I saw only the one photo I took yesterday (which was all I was seeing on my iPhone before). Nothing else was there. I dragged a bunch of photos from my iPhoto "Photos" library to the Photo Stream, and after a few minutes, they started showing up on my iPhone.
Message was edited by: jimbabka to make clear that it's iPhoto that's lying and the iPhone that's telling the truth

  • Photo Stream from iPhone to Macbook

Photos won't stream to my Macbook from my phone.  When I go to System Preferences on my computer, then to iCloud it tells me that I need to upgrade iPhoto.   I don't know what version I have but it's the one that came with my computer in 2008.
Is there a way to do this without paying the $14.99?  I'm a recreational user and this would just be easier than emailing myself the photos I want for just messing around.
Also, someone previoulsy mentioned an iphoto plug-in.  What and where is that?
    Thanks

    No
As you saw when you read the FAQs link I posted
To use My Photo Stream you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Apple TV Software Update 5.0 or later
PC with Windows 7 or later and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Unfortuantly now in order to upgrade to iPhoto '11 you have to either upgrade yoru OS to Mavericks - a free upgrade if you Mac supports it - or putchase an iLife '11 DVD from a vendor - Amazon or eBay are sources

  • Need help - my pics in photo stream on iphone do not all dowload to photo stream folder on my pc

have photo stream pics on my iphone, when my iphone is connect to my PC, some of the photos do not download onto my photo stream folder on my PC - need help with this

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
        •    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
        •    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
        •    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Wrong name displayed in Shared Photo Stream on iPhone/iOS 6

I invited my wife to a shared photostream and MY name shows up when she comments on a photo.  It might be that she's using what used to be MY phone.  Here's what we did in our upgrade to iOS 6 and the iPhone 5.
I got the new iPhone 5 and passed the old 4S to my wife.
    1) I backed up her old iPhone 4,
    2) I reset the 4S (iOS 6) and restored from her old 4's backup.
    3) Sent her an invitation to the photo stream, she accepts, posts, and it displays MY name.
    4) Discovered on her phone that "My Info" under Settings-->Mail...-->Contacts was pointed to MY contact on her phone, not her own.  Fixed that.
    5) Removed her from the photo stream, re-invited, still shows my name.
Could Apple be associating a Device ID with a name at the server level?  How do I fix this?

Hi all, after a view hours trying to resolve this I have found the answer to photo stream sender name issues.
iPhoto will display the name associated with your apple ID.
I logged onto "manage my apple ID" and found my wife's apple ID was registered to me and not her
It took 5 seconds to resolve - simple really

  • Do pictures that are downloaded from a camera reverse course and go to photo stream on iPhone?

I have some pictures that I did not take with my iphone but either with a canon camera or via capture on my laptop. When I put them in iphoto, they showed up in photostream on my iphone. WHY? How can I make sure that does not happen? Is there a setting I need to change?

Turn off Photo Stream in iPhoto: iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud.

  • Sync-problem with 'my photo stream' between iPhone (IOS) and PC (Win7)

    Hi all,
I have a problem with the automatic sync of "my photo stream".
My photo steam on my IOS device contains 52 photos.
On my Windows computer there are only 43 photos available.
There is no logic behind the missing photos.
I took 2 more photos to test the stream. After I took the photos I've 54 photos in my album. 2 min later the upload seems to be completed because on my IOS device I've 54 photos.
I've waited for over 2 hours now and on my Windows computer there are still 43 photos. So the new ones are missing beside some missing photos in between!
    What I've already done:
    # re-install iCould on Windows computer
    # reset iPhone to factory defaults
    # several shutdown and reboots of all devices
maybe someone can help me with that problem!
    thanks in advance!
    cheers
    max

I tried the sign-out/reboot/sign-in and now it's stranger than before.
On my iPhone I have 79 pictures in 'my photo stream'.
On my PC I have 24 randomly picked photos in 'my photo stream'.
