  • New SP Custom List results in Power Query Error: Expression.Error: The key did not match any rows in the table.

    Hi,
I'm running into something that seems to be a bug in Power Query. I've got my Power Query tables from SharePoint lists into Excel and Power Pivot data model. (Making sure the SharePoint site is in English and I replace MMD columns with normal columns).
But then, when I close down Excel, add another custom list to SharePoint, open the Excel workbook and want to add that new custom list using the same connection (via recent data sources).
It shows the newly added custom list in the explorer but with an error:
Nothing I can do to fix this; restarting Excel or PC; nothing.
The only way I got around this was by removing all my existing data sources and re-create them..
after that, the same SharePoint custom list WAS read with Power Query without an issue.
    Thanks,
    Jeroen

Its because of recent updates to Power Query.
In recent updates internally their is some change in syntax for reading particular table from list (I faced this issue while reading data from Excel file, i.e After applying recent update of Power Query my Queries which were working fine before starting
throwing same error that yo are facing).
As solution their is small tweak to be done in existing queries, instead of recreating all queries. If you can provide me your complete old query from Advanced editor then I can point to tweak that need to be done.
    Thanks,

  • Just-In-Time Compiler

Can anyone recommend a good, preferrably, free Java JIT for use on Windows?
    Thanks in advance.

Download Java 1.3 from Sun or IBM. These both have
excellent JIT Compilers.I have the JDK 1.3 & JRE 1.3 from Sun.
I had a feeling a JIT compiler was included, do I need to do anything special to invoke the JIT or does it invoke automatically?
I developed a small program, initially for my own personal use and although it runs fine, the simple GUI can take a while to repaint after clicking the minimised program in the Taskbar (NB: I'm using Win98). Same slow repaint is evident when the program pops up a dialog box.
    Thought a JIT may help.
Also wondered if building the GUI in VB and using the JavaBean ActiveX Bridge (if this is even possible) could help.
    Any thoughts?

  • Error in compiling SQL Expression

In the [Error in SQL Expression; thread, Kurt Reinhardt wrote "Please note, a SQL Expression can only return a single, distinct value per each record in the main recordset.", I tried this where my main Record Selection's SQL query is:
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.ldg_name} = {@&CH_LDG_GL_ACT_CURR} and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.period} = {@&CH_PERIOD_GL_CURR} and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.ACCNBRI}  "99991103" and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.DOC_REF1}  "{%SundryCreditors}" and
    {GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS.DOC_TYPE} = "$APINVCE"
    My SQL Expression %SundryCreditors is:
    select doc_ref1
    from glf_ldg_acc_trans
    where ldg_name = 'APLED09'
      and period = "GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS"."PERIOD"
      and doc_ref1 = "GLF_LDG_ACC_TRANS"."DOC_REF1"
      and accnbri like 'SUNDRY%'
which essentially queries the same table as the main recordset using the same key fields, and returns one row only. However, when I click on the Check button in the Formula Workshop window, I get the error message "Error in compiling SQL Expression : Database Connection Error: '42000:MicrosoftODBC SQL Server DriverSQL ServerIncorrect syntax near the keyword 'select'. Database Vendor Code: 156 '".
Do you know what is my issue?

If you know what you're doing, you can add a full select statement into a SQL Expression... And Kurt is correct when he says that it may only return a single row of info. Don is also correct when he says that this not what SQL commands are designed for.
    Here's what's happening...
When you link your tables in the Database Expert and drop fields onto the design surface (and optionally, add criteria to the Select Expert), CR builds out a SQL statement that can is to be sent out to the db server so that the data can be returned. You can view this SQL by going to Database > Show SQL Query...
When you add a SQL Expression, CR inserts it into the SQL Query as another data column. This is typically done to take advantage of functions that are available in the data base but not in CR.
A few crafty individuals, like Kurt, have figured out that you can in fact inset a full SELECT query into a SQL Expression and it will be inserted into the CR generated querie's SELECT list as a sub-query.
Bear in mind 2 things... #1) You have to be familiar with SQL syntax, namely you have to know the proper syntax for using sub-queries in a SELECT list in your data base. #2) CR doesn't officially support is behavior and they won't offer you any help if the current functionality is removed in later versions.

    Jason

  • Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [31

I installed Reader X and when I tried opening it, I received a Visual Studio Just-in-time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [3116].  I uninstalled, rebooted and tried reinstalling and received the same error.
I tried disabling the just in time debugger mentioned in http://www.programmerfish.com/disable-visual-studio-just-in-time-debugger/ and received the error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [4080].  Just-in-time debugging this exception failed with the following error:  No installed debugger has just-in-time debugging enabled.  In Visual Studio, Just-in-time debugging can be enabled.....
I do have Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 installed.
    Any ideas?

We discovered that Reader X users that had an older version of PGP installed received this error. We implemented a registry change on these devices which resolved the issued. PGP recognized it was an incompatibility issue on their end, and supposedly, with the newer version of PGP it will be resolved.  In order to resolve this, try using Adobe Readers whitelisting feature.  Below are the steps to follow:
      i.   Add a registry entry enabling the use of whitelisting:
           [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown]
           "bUseWhitelistConfigFile"=dword:00000001
ii.  Create a whitelist file called "ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt" and place it
in the Adobe Reader executable path i.e. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader
iii. The ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt file will need to contain the string
           SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = *PGPhk*

So is it just me, or is Mavericks a bust?  My MBP runs much hotter since the upgrade. Why do I need ot sit around watching Activity Monitor, manually controlling my fans, and deleting extensions that I enjoy using. Don't even get me started on the Quicktime/Mov issues. I had none of these issues on Mountian Lion. Searching these forums, I see it's not just me. Why would Apple release a new system w/o peoperly testing it on MBPs?
I don't have time for trial and error solutions. I've tried the obvious ones. No help. Is Apple offering a way to downgrade back to Mountain lion?  Or better yet, a Mavericks update that adresses these problems? As of now, I want out of Mavericks ASAP.
My processor is 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7.
    8 GB 1600 MHZ DDR3 memory.
13inch MBP purchased ust over a year ago- 1-13.

Nobody owns a ML install disc - ML was only ever distributed as a download from the Mac App Store.
If you have a Time Machine backup, you can boot into recovery mode and restore from your Moutain Lion TM backup volume.  If you have a system clone, then you can boot from the clone, and just clone ML back onto your internal drive.
Going back to your previous installation from a backup should be trivially simply if you have the backup in hand.

That error can happen for many reasons...one of the reasons that I occassionaly get it is because I try exporting a movie to an external drive that has been formated in the old FAT32 instead of the NTSF standard.  FAT32 only allows for file sizes up to 2 gigs.  And as soon as it reaches that...I would get that error.  I don't know if that is why you are getting that error...but it would be easy to check.  1) are you generating a file that is over 2 gigs?  2) is your drive that you are exporting to FAT 32 (just right click the drive in My Computer and select "properties" then just look for what it says next to "file system".

  • Tecra M9 - PCI Express Error at start-up

    Hello Everybody ..
    I own a Toshiba Tecra M9 (PTM91E-04R03TEN)
    http://www.toshiba.ie/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=IE#tab0;
On switching on,- Its Showing the Toshiba splach screen and then "PCI Express error." on a black screen
I can't get beyond this Black Screen
    and I can't get into BIOS ??..
One time it did manage to boot up fully, I left it running for a while as I save information from the HDD. but then the problem started again .
I believe this is a problem with the nvidia GPU ( Fatigue cracking on the BGA )
I have the Laptop stripted down .. and have purchased ArctiClean , Thermal Pad, & Arctic Silver for the "repair"
Should I have somebody scan the hardware and to find the troublemaker ? ..OR.. should I just reflow the GPU .
    I'm technically minded .. but not a PC / Laptop technican :(..
any Instruction on how to proceed would be greatfully received ..
Should i just " bung it in the oven" and see how it goes ? :) :) .
    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi
I found and read your other post regarding this issue and in my opinion the PCI Express error is related to an PCI device (i.e miniPCI module like WLan / Bluetooth, etc ) connected to the motherboard.
Of course I cannot say for sure that this issue isnt related to a GPU malfunction.
Usually such details can be provided only by an service engineer who checked the notebooks hardware.
Generally I dont recommend to disassemble the notebook. Its very tricky to perform such procedure and of course there is always a risk of part damage doing such procedure without any instructions.

  • One cause for "Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error"

I just finished a huge promotional video project, one which was fraught with problems.
To start out with, most of my interview footage was RED Epic material, and my b-roll was comprised of a combination of RED Epic (some at 4kHD and some at 5k), RED ONE (some at 4k, some at 3k), XDCAM-EX 1080p, HDV 1080i, Sony AVCHD 1080p, previously exported Vimeo HD h.264 material, and still shots. Needless to say, quite a mess of codecs and odd file types to combine into one project.
Since much of my b-roll was 1080p, I decided to do my entire edit on a 1080p timeline; however, since all my interview footage was RED, I decided to use a RED Epic 1080p timeline. In doing so, I discovered something important about Premiere, and I don't know if this is a bug, or if it's meant to work this way: when you put 5k RED Epic material on a 1080p timeline and use the zoom controls in the motion effects panel to bring it to size, and attempt to export, you'll get the "Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error" every time. This may happen with other types of footage that's too big for the timeline too, i'm not sure. However, when you instead right click on the clip and use the "scale to frame size" command, it exports just fine, with no errors.
I also discovered that (at least with my setup), PrPro can't handle large stills on the timeline; I contiually got OpenGL crash errors until I resized all my images in Photoshop to be no more than 1920px wide.
The promo video is 11:30, and comprised of five segments. I edited each segment (interview and b-roll) in it's own sequence, and then nested the sequences along with the transition/motion graphics/title slides between them on my master sequence. However, I kept getting crashes and freezes when attempting to export that master sequence which I couldn't explain. Ultimately I had to export each of the individual sequences as a Lagarith UT AVI file, and then import that file back in and place it in the master sequence where the nested sequence had been. Once that was done it exported fine, so I'm still not sure what the problems were, since each individaul sequence exported okay, and the master exported just fine after replacing the nested sequences with the Lagarith clips...
Anyway, I think I've got a pretty good promo done, and it's definitely a TON better than our last one. When I get it online I'll post a link over in the Lounge and ask for feedback...

So, I ran into this the first time recently. I discovered it when I copied an adjustment layer for quick grading with an RGB Color Corrector and Color Balance effects in it from a rehearsal cut of a short film. The effects worked fine and rendered out without issue. I imported the sequence into my 'final' cut so I could reuse the titles and adjustment layer. I copied the adjustment layer to the new rough cut of the final sequence and ran into this error when I tried to render it, but only after applying the adjustment layer. I found that if I turned off the Color Balance, the sequence rendered fine. I found that if I moved the Color Balance above the RGB Color Corrector, the effect of the RGB effect completely disappeared AND it rendered correctly (both effects turned on) - so reversing the order worked, but effects were weird. I also found that if I added ANY non-GPU accelerated effects to the RGB Color Corrector that I'd get the same compile error (unknown).
I went through and deleted clips until I got to 0 on the timeline, added a new one back on, and it still wouldn't render. So, I created an entirely NEW sequence, copied all video and audio (not adjustment layer) from the original failing rough cut of the final sequence, and pasted it into this new sequence. I also copied the adjustment layer again from the rehearsal cut into this new sequence and it is rendering just fine.
HOURS WASTED DOING THIS! It would be awesome if Adobe actually tested their products before releasing them instead of forcing us to do it for them. My project consisted of about 30-40 different clips and audio, all from the same DSLR (Nikon D810), nothing fancy, two effects in an adjustment layer applied to the entire sequence, and Premiere couldn't handle it. Given this and some of the comments I read while troubleshooting this on this forum, gives me pause in trusting Adobe products for any real work that has a deadline (unless, of course, you build in the required Adobe testing time into your budget).
So, just another data point; something else to try. Create a new sequence, and copy everything from your non-working one to it, and see if this will jump-start Premier. Worked for me. Good luck.

I am running a 2.40 GHz Quad Core with 8GB RAM
I have a deadline on a video project in Premiere Pro CS4 with 4 video timelines and 8 audio timelines with many transitions and key frames with hours on two sequences of work completed and ready to export to an AVI file and burn a DVD.  The 30 minute sequence with only 3 timelines converted to AVI file okay.  The larger sequence with more timelines, keyframes, etc. will not export through Adobe Media Encoder for a Microsoft AVI file or an Uncompressed AVI file - getting the above error message each time.  Getting same errors when exporting a dynamic link to Encore to burn a DVD.
The sequence acted funny when I loaded the fourth video timeline so I deleted it and waiting untill the completion of the sequence to add any of that fourth timeline to that sequence and I did not even try to load the fourth timeline that I wanted to add...

I have been going back & forth with Adobe Support with troubleshooting advice.  I am running a 2.40 GHz Quad Core, 8GB RAM - had to upgrade to Windows Vista 64-bit for computer to recognize more than 2GB RAM, had to purchase Premiere Production Premium CS4 because Adobe no longer supported Premiere Pro 2.0 & Adobe does not support Windows XP-64 bit (so Windows Vista was pushed down my throat...)  I have followed the Adobe instructions to Optimize Windows Vista for Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, I have uninstalled and re-installed the full program more than once.  I have defragmented my computer, I have performed the disk cleanup and deleted all temporary files, etc. to make sure my computer is running optimally.
I have read the other Adobe threads that talk about CS3 & earlier similar error messages, but have found nothing with this particular message.  I have deleted the fourth timeline off of the video and tried to see if that would make it work, but it did not.
Does ANYBODY have any suggestions on how I can further trouble shoot to get this project out or know of a way that I can export this project to another program to get an AVI file and a DVD burned with custom menus...

I am using a 1TB Hard drive with 300 GB free space.  Yes, I always have to delete projects off to make room for new projects.  I have 3 750GB hard drives in my computer in addition to the main C drive that I am using.  Once a project is completed and a client is satisfied, I move the final AVI file off to one of the auxillary drives and delete the entire project from the C drive.  Then I defragment, delete temp files, disk cleanup, you name it to get the drive ready to use for the next project.  I have followed the Adobe protocol for all of this as well as my computer vendor.  I got rid of 95 GB of temp stuff several days ago with the disk cleanup and another 45 GB after deleting another project off my computer...  so looks like I am doing these things..please advise if you know of anything else.
In the meantime, I am going to try to export to the MPEG2 -DVD export to see if this will work.  I did get an uncompressed file of 31 GB created which errored out at 24:24 minutes into the project and the AVI will not play so it is worthless so I am going to delete it.  I went to the timeline at 24.24 minutes and there is nothing unusual about that portion of the clip. This is the largest and most tedious timelines of the project because it is stacked 3 video timelines high with just a a few pieces of the 4th timeline in the project.  24:24 on the timeline is just another keyframe of moving the keyframes up and down to show which video camera version I want visible in that portion of the video - fading in and out of the project with the key frames...
I will let you know if I can get an MPEG2 file.  Will this be a good enough quality to put on a DVD.  This is a standard NTSC 4:3 format video...

  • Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error - Simple Solution in Premiere

ADOBE PREMIERE EDITORS: Be forewarned about the infamous "Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error." It usually doesn't happen unless you're editing a big project like I am and then it screws with you because you've been editing fine until it's time to export and you can't even make your project into a movie, which defeats the purpose of all your hard work. I looked up forum after forum and finally there were a-few solutions that worked for some and not for others. (Adobe said they will get their team on this case right away.) Let's just say I do not have Final Cut Pro, so I cannot export to XML and then import into FCP to do the exporting like some people found helpful. Nor do I have the time to import my Premiere project into After Effects only to manually create all of my "dip to white" transitions. But I would have had to do that if nothing else I tried worked and thankfully, I was able to trick Premiere. It's so simple, it's stupid. Just open a new project in Premiere. Then "import" the project you wanted to export. For some odd reason, without changing anything of substance or in other words, doing practically nothing about the issue, it exports now. Just because I opened a "new" project and "imported" my old project. Of course, this may not work for others, but please try it and then reply your results. Me and I'm sure Adobe would find it very helpful to see if that worked for most people. It worked for me.
[Profanity is not permitted.  Removed.  Please keep your language family-friendly.]

I agree, Jim, but my train of thought was that a lot of people were changing and replacing and taking out effects and clips from their sequence to see if it was the components in the sequence that was causing the "unknown error." However, I had the same "unknown error" and was able to export in Premiere anyway by just practically "telling" Premiere that it's a new project, when I'm importing an old project to do the same task. Which makes me think that maybe Premiere doesn't have a problem exporting the specific files that most people thought were the problem, maybe it was just a glitch somewhere in Premiere that made the software think there was a problem after a certain amount of time, when there really wasn't. I don't know, I'm not a coder so that's just my layman guess. I did notice that Premiere was exporting/rendering fine when I was just beginning my project, but after it got to a certain length, that's when I couldn't render or export anymore. It honestly baffles me too. It would be useful to see what the results are if other people tried this simple switch-a-roo so possible issues can be narrowed down.

So I checked out the clip. It was one of the ones with warp stabilize. I turned that off and sent it out again. Render got further this time but hit a different clip with warp stabilize (after getting through like 2 other clips with warp stabilize enabled) and gave me the same error. I tried getting rid of cache files, saving to a local drive instead of a network drive, uninstalling and re-installing premiere even. (which btw if you check remove preferences then reinstall it def still has preferences so that's a total load.) Anyway I was doing some forum surfing and found several people going all the way back to PP 5.5 saying that the only solution they found was to turn off the Mercury Playback GPU acceleration. Tried that and it's currently rendering just fine but taking roughly 4X longer than with acceleration. The GPU acceleration is a big deal for me since our company relies on putting out a lot of volume quickly. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is it something you were able to fix without turning off GPU acceleration. Grateful for your input.

sorry I actually wrote that wrong. I am using the H.264 setting 720 30fps to create a web friendly .mp4. Alternately though I decided to watch and see if it was the same clip failing every time. It is. I went into the project and did a match frame for the offending clip. Dragged the a new version of the same content onto the timeline and copied the warp stabilize effect onto the new version. Well this time the encode got past the clip with the issue, however the next clip it hit with warp stabilize caused another error compiling movie: unknown error. I guess at this point my options are to turn off the GPU acceleration and wait for a render that takes more than 3x as long to render with software only, or to go through the whole timeline and replace the clips with warp stabilize (there are a bunch, the shooter wasn't having a great day on glidecam). Not a great solution on either end. Please let me know if I should file this as a bug report. Though it seems people have been having the same issues since version CS5.5

  • Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error +4k +Clip scale

Just found an interesting issue, and solved it... thought I would share it with you guys as well.
I received the Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error when rendering a 1080 timeline with 4k footage all from RED. The whole timeline was "Scale to Frame Size" except one shot (used a few times), the one shot was re-framed manually with motion effect. When I set all clips to "Scale to Frame Size" and then adjusted motion effect from there, the error went away, and rendered successfully. Hope that helps!

    Hi,
Thank you for the input. This is really helpful. Appreciate it!
    Thanks,
    Rameez

  • Can't render: Error Compiling Movie: Unkown Error

    Hey There,
    Need some help,
I am working on a short sequence (15 seconds).
It has a few video channels stacked up and I have applied overlays and color correction to most channels.
The footage is XMF Files from a C300. Sequence settings set as per the suggested recommendation (ie when I dropped the clips in).
I keep getting the 'Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error' message every time I try to render or export. I have gone through many of the steps suggested by a blog post I found on here - I went through the sequence, removed clip by clip, tried to render, then deleted the effects.
When I deleted the effects and layed the clips out side by side it rendered out for me.  That's great, but I need to be able to export with the effects all in, and the vides layered. What can I do?? Starting to pull my hair out!
    Details..
    CS6.O
    MacBook, 4 GB Ram,
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hey,
Thanks for the tip - tried all those, unfortunately with no joy.
I just cleared my cache - also no joy.
BUT I installed an update (now 6.0.5) and it's doing it.
    Thanks for the help,
    Simon
