Just loadedf/f/4--do I have all the safety features without doing add-on's
there are so many options to add or subtract ,I as a 75 yr. old user can get strarted off on wrong foot---so my question is does mydn. load of F/F 34 have all needed for safety and ease of opperation?

Seems to me you are using Adobe Reader to edit PDF' .Unfortunately it would not allow you to edit any PDF .It does not come with editing features.It is only meant to view PDF .
You can edit PDF' using Adobe Acrobat.Make sure you have that software or kindly subscribe for the same .You can easily download it from the web.

How come my S5 doesn't have all the camera features. Like zoom for an example
I see everyone with alot of different modes on the S5 camera but I have only 3 choices to choose from and no Zoom what so ever
Unlike the S3 and S4 where you could use the volume buttons to zoom in and out, I have found with the S5 you have use two fingers on the screen to zoom in and out. Spread your fingers apart to zoom in and move them together to zoom back out.

i have just switched to samsung and i have removed the sim from the iphone however i am still receiving texts rather 'imessage' on the old iphone. how do i make sure all messages only come to my new phone??
You can turn iMessage off on your iPhone. That's relatively easy. Since iMessage is an Apple product/service, I have no idea how a Samsung phone will deal with an incoming one. For that answer you should probably contact Samsung support.

You don't say whether you are on PC or Mac. For Mac there are these two programs which might help (I havn't tried either) :

There are probably similar programs for PCs, but I don't know what they are. On a PC you can hold the shift key and do File > Display Exact Duplicates (without the shift they may not be exact matches) - if one of each duplicate pair has the same date added then you can sort by that and then delete those with (or without) that date. -
I am rebuilding my iTunes library, but still have all the old content on my iPod Classic. I have just download some songs from the iStore and want to add them to the iPod, BUT when I try to sync it asks if I want to delete all content from the iPod and add only the material that I have just downloaded from the Store. I do not want to lose my old content, because it is very extensive.
You are trying to sync to other than the one iTunes library you can sync to. You can copy music from multiple library/computer if you use the manual method of syncing. That method is described here

If you want to make this computer/iTunes library your syncing computer/library you have to restore the iPod on this computer/library. Restoring erases the iPod.

I just purchased a new to me ibook g4. I have all the disks but they do not seem to work properly. When I restart holding the C key they just spit out of the drive. I wanted to reset everything back to factory and start over but no go. Most everything works anyway except my address book application. It seems to be missing. The problem with accessing the content of the disks is the CD Drive does not seem to access them. It also has a heck of a time ejecting them. Other disks seem to read. The unit came with imovie disks and I can use them. The disks look perfectly good no scratches but they just don't work, I was hoping I could just get a online copy of the address book to replace the one that seems to be missing. Or find it somewhere on my drive. Have no clue where to look though. -
I Just converted my iPhoto library to Photos. Now I can't find my RAW files. I need to have all the images in my old library show up in their RAW format.
Unfortunately no - Photos use extensions and the vendor (adobe) will have to implement the extension to allow external edits in PS or PSE
For now you must export the photo, edit and then import - not great but a work arond
And you can continue to use iPhoto until Photos meets your needs - launch it in your applications folder - if you need assistance on this see Why won't my iPhotos open?

So here's my problem. I just used the "reset all settings" option, and accidentaly restored an old backup. It deleted all my photos and contacts, but for some reason I still have all the apps from after the backup date,and it also kept the notes from after the backup. The "reset all settings" option clearly says no loss of data or media, so I don't understand why some stuff got deleted. My question is, is there a way to get it back?
If you still can find a recent backup listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, use this one to restore from.
If there are no recent backups listed, your data is gone. Only if you included the iTunes backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could be able to restore this folder and find one of your latest backups listed again.

Applecare covers manufacturer defects, but not physical damage. So, probably not covered. But if the key just fell off you could argue that it was a manufacturer defect. You'll need Apple to look at it to know one way or the other.

Do I have all the parts to replace my HDD with a new SSD on my Macbook (late 2008)?
Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out if have all the parts to replace my hdd with a new ssd on my macbook (late 2008 aluminum).
I just bought a crucial mx100 SSD and plan on replacing my mac HDD. I have the appropriate screwdrivers, and a bootable OSX on a usb drive. I also purchased a sabrent usb 2.0 to sata/ide hard drive adapter.
How do I replace and install OSX on my new SSD?
From what I read here are the steps I'm planning on taking.
1) Detach the old HDD
2) Attach new SSD.
3) Turn on computer and use the bootable usb drive to install OS X.
Does that work, I think I read somewhere about maybe formatting the SSD before I can use the bootable usb. Any input or help would be awesome. Thanks.

I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.
