Keep page position after a refresh

Hello,
I need a solution for the following problem regarding a J2EE web application : after a page refresh (let's say an automatic page refresh), I want the user to see the page in the same position as it was before the refresh.
(Suppose the user is at the end of a pretty long page, and normally, after the refresh the response will give the page at its beginning.)
I suppose some client side scripting (javascript) will solve the problem, but any help would be appreciated.

Normally you can add bookmarks to the page to demarcate different sections of the page, like this:
<a name="sec103"></a> When the page refreshes it should go back to the last bookmark that the user passed by.

I am trying to work with Checkboxes in an HTML region which will make another region appear or disappear when they are checked or unchecked. As I understand it I need to submit the page to make regions appear or disappear - but when I do this by default the checkbox forgets its value.
My checkbox is based on the static love: STATIC2:;Y which should make it ticked when the value is 'Y' and unticked when it is 'N'. I have set its default value to Y.
I have read online about how to make a checkbox remember its value by putting a computation on it that will set the value of the checkbox to 'N' when it is null. Unfortunately when I refresh the page - if the checkbox is ticked then everything is fine (as it was before) - but if it is unticked then I suddenly get two checkboxes - both of which are ticked and one of which has an 'N' after it.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? It's driving me mad trying to achieve something that that I'd expect to just work without any effort.

APEX checkboxes probably don't work in the way you expect: a checkbox is displayed for each value in the LOV. With the checkbox item LOV Display Extra Values property set to Yes, extra values that are not included in the LOV definition—like your "N" default—will be displayed as additional checkboxes.

Safari keeps closing even after restore/refresh

Hi
Iphone 3Gs latest iOS, after a couple of seconds safari closes to home screen, this also happens with maps, itunes and app store. Facebook and ebay apps still working as is my wifi connection. Ive tried restoring the phone twice, tried syncing several times and cleared cookies etc.
Any suggestions?!

Did you Repair Disk Permissions before and after installing Safari 4? If not, do that now. Then try creating
a new user account to see if the same random crashes happen there? If they do, the problem affects your
whole system and not just your regular user account. If the crashing doesn't happen in that new user
account, then try this:
Quit Safari if it's running and open System Preferences>Network.
In the DNS Server tab, make sure IPv6 is turned off, and enter these two DNS servers to replace the ones you currently have:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
click Apply Now and quit System Preferences.
Next, do these things in order:
1. Go to Home/Library/Cookies and delete the Cookies.plist file.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
3. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Web Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
4. If you don't want to use the Top Sites feature, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
7. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Downloads.plist
History.plist
Form Values
LastSession.plist
WebpageIcons.db
Then restart Safari and see if the problem is still there.

IWeb is not keeping pages formatted

iWeb is not keeping pages formatted after I upload and then quit iWeb. When I reopen iWeb the newly created photo album has lost all its photos, and formating is gone. I have not moved the photos from the HD, they are still in iPhoto.

That did it. It took a few times, but it seems to be working fine now. I deleted the photo album, quit iWeb, deleted the "Folder" /Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist, Restarted.
Opened iWeb, then quit it. Then deleted com.apple.iWeb.plist, restarted. Opened iWeb, added the photo album back, published it, saved, quit. And when I reopened iWeb the album was still there. Also iWeb is running faster.

How to retain page Scroll position after post back

Hi,
I have some long jsf web pages that requires user to user vertical scroll to access some fields. Now the problem I face is that, there are some fields at the bottom of the page, on click of which i need to do a postback, call valueChangeListner in the backing bean and populate some values in subsequent fields. And when the page reloads after the call to valueChangeListner, the top portion of the page is displayed to the user which is a little annoying. I want to display the portion of the page that the user was accessing before.

Several ways:
1) Populate the fields entirely clientside.
2) Use Ajax to populate the fields.
3) Use Javascript during onload to scroll to the desired position/element.

I just want to refresh data from database and still show the current record. This is always taking me to the first record in the iterator.

You can do this as follow:
1) In your ApplicationModule (e.g ScottAM) define function:

I got the new version of firefox and I have lost the tools at the top of my page such as the refresh butten. how can i get this back

Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end side of the location bar.<br />

Problems updating numbers charts in pages - where is that "refresh" button?

I am trying to update a numbers chart that I have included in a pages document, but can't figure how to do it. Seems like I am missing and icon in Pages.
From the help manual from Pages:
*Select the chart on the page and click the Refresh button that appears.*
I keep looking but can't see it. Am I missing something here. Is there a setting somewhere that is not set.
P.S Yes, I saved the Numbers dokument before I copied it into the Pages doc. After updating the chart, I saved it before I returned to the Pages doc.

I figured out the charts issue, but am I correct if I understand that you can't insert Numbers tables to Pages, and then update them (in the same was as the charts?)

Massive power drain after Belle Refresh update on ...

From being a minor annoyance the massive power drain from my N8 after Belle Refresh update is now a big problem!
The battery does not even last a full day now
No apps running - power save on, but to no avail.
After advice from Nokia Support I've tried to reinstall Belle Refresh again from Nokia Suite, but it didn't make a difference.
What else can be done? Is it possible to uninstall Belle Refresh completely?
Some have suggested it is because of the weather widget. Any confirmation from Nokia on that issue?

I have Belle refresh for over a month now and I keep running the weather widget permanently on first screen. Overall the power consumption is the same as before on Anna (I skipped the first Belle incarnation).
The only particular thing here is that I flashed clean the full 111.40.1511 version for my phone language. All I can tell is that in the first days after flashing the power drain was significant, merely because of intense phone usage, part of various customizations or just by curiosity. Since then the power consumption has slowly came back to "normal" for my daily usage habits.
Currently running widgets: clock, profile, weather, next coming event, BBC feed, WiFi, 3G, data usage counter, Nokia Battery Monitor, locations near me. Also Nokia Sleeping Screen is active. I gave up in using email widgets because I only use IMAP manual fetch mode and in this mode they are completely useless.

Bdc MB02 page down after 7items

I am doing the mb02 change
I have 15 items for the material document number1 and 5 items for material document nmber 2 etc and 13 items for material document 3, I have recorded the page down in shdb.
In mbo2 only 7 items are there per page.
Now i am looping at the finaltable.
Now how to tell to the system that material doc1 is having 15 items , ie how to handle page down after 7th item for material doc1.
For material doc 2 only 5items so we need to bypass page down , please tell how to handle this in this loop and endloop of bdc.

No need of page down.
There is one option in EDIT-> POSITIOn CURSOR menu. It will ask for ITEM number. Whatever item number you have provided that will come in the first line.So reord only first line everytime.
then you can select and chenage them. this will be easier instead of page down where you need to know when you have to page down.

Cannot remove registry key for Mozilla 4.0. Keeps populating even after uninstall

registry key keeps coming back after unistall and delete from registry, and turning off system restore in system.

This causes web sites to report that I am running IE 6 when in fact i am running IE8.

That is an internet explorer issue (see the MSIE 6.0 part). Microsoft labels their User Agent Mozilla/ x for website compatibility, for it isn't related to Firefox at all. You can see a list of all the Internet Explorer user Agent strings [http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Internet%20Explorer/ http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Internet%20Explorer/]. Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do to help you, but you can try to reset Internet Explorer, [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737].

Indesign CC keeps hanging just after Startup... Can someone help?

Indesign CC keeps hanging just after I open a file/start a new document/look at it. Sometimes it's during open, sometimes it's before I even get to the open a file dialog box. I ended up forcing a crash with Activity Monitor so I could get a crash report. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Running Mavericks on a Macbook Pro.
Trashed the prefs, cache, saved application state, etc.

It didn't earlier, but I've done a re-install since then. I can try again.
Really, in the short term at least, I just need to pull text from a single, multi-page document. I have it as an .indd and an .idml. Is there another way to grab the text? I tried incopy, but it also crashed on me, freshly installed.
Of course in the long run I still need indesign, but for today, I really just need the text from this doc.

OS X Mavericks: Reinstall OS X Heres the link if anyone else had the same problem!! This is if you deleted not only the Mac App Store, but iTunes, Calendar, whatever came with the Mac (Apps that came already installed on the Mac), if you deleted one of those then you have to reinstall the Mac OS, Note: This one is for Mac OS X (Maverick) my version is 10.9.4, go to that link and follow the instructions if you have Mac OS X (Maverick). Other help: Common Mistake: If you delete the app from the dock then just go to finder and applications folder and drag the app back onto the dock(it was just deleted from the dock NOT your system/computer). Hope that helps others who had the same problem.
