Keep sessions with Secure iNet factory (jScape)

I played around with JScapes demo of Secure iNet factory.
Does anyone know how too keep the session up for multiple https requests?
I have tried two approaches.
1. Use the HttpSession object to do all the work.
Https https = new Https()
HttpSession session = new HttpSession(https);
session.setAllowCookies(true);
response = session.getResponse(request);2. Do it manually by storing all incoming cookies in a map and rewrite them to the request before sending.
Neither work and the server changes session id during after a while.

Hi esaglik, welcome to the forum,
the recovery cd (for booting) and dvd (recovery) you burned are for use when you are unable to recover from the service partition and will not work in conjunction with the lenovo care button. You need them should you e.g. put a new hard drive in your notebook.
As your Lenovo care button is working you should be able to recover from the service partition.

    Keep losing my secure wifi on my ipad and iphone with newest iOS update. My PC is still connected to same secure wifi. Any ideas.

    Contact xFinity (Comcast) to turn off dynamic channel switching if on and have it set to a fixed channel.
    Usually WiFi routers will only change channels to the least busy when they are initially powered up.

    This issue seems like either a JDK bug or a JVM bug. Do you see any hs_err_pidxxxx.txt files created when appserver gets crashed? If so this is a JVM bug. You could try to upgrade your appserver's jdk to the latest version - 1.5.0_09 and/or ask for help in Java security related forum.

  • Keeping a clean, secure and well performing machine...

    Keeping a clean, secure system is tantamount to good computer performance. How do you do that? There are several things you should do which will ensure the best possibility of keeping a clean, secure and well performing machine:
    1) Install anti-malware software
    There are some very good "Free" programs available that are fully automated and will help to keep your system protected from malicious software. Some of these are listed Here...click the "Free Security Software Links Index" link, then click the "Anti-virus" link.
    2) Practice safe surfing
    "Safe Surfing" requires very little thought really. Using good common sense can help here. Avoid unscrupulous web sites. The "Web Of Trust" will help you identify many of those so you CAN avoid them.
    3) Maintenance
    Maintain your system by performing a disk cleanup and defrag on a regular basis.
    Maintenance requires some planning. Your system accumulates debris from the web. "Debris", in the sense that many of these files are unnecessary to keep.
    Getting rid of that debris is a simple process. Microsoft Windows users will find the free utilities provided by Microsoft, in all "Windows" platforms, are quite useful in helping users to maintain their systems. Those are, Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter. You can find these tools by navigating to"
    All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools
    ...both are friendly and easy to use. I'd like though, to clear up some confusion regarding the "Defragmenter" utility. Many users will neglect a system defrag based upon the analysis findings. I should address the:
    "You do not need to defragment this volume"
    ...message that the defrag analysis returns.
    You see, when Microsoft wrote that utility for the Windows platform, there were two distinctly different target audiences to consider. Those are, the corporate and home users. Two very big markets, with very different "needs". The effort and intent was to reach a happy medium when considering the threshold levels that would still work well for both customer bases without causing any significant performance issues for either, should one or the other have to live by those thresholds.
    If I explained that well, then you might understand that the "threshold" Microsoft chose for the defrag utility will flag either customer base when fragmentation reaches...let's say it's about 20% (I really don't know WHAT it is, but I do know it's pretty broad) and anything under that will be flagged as:
    "You do not need to defragment this volume".
    All that means, really, is that you can delay a defrag when an analysis scan returns such a message...but it certainly DOESN'T mean that you should not defrag.
    As a general rule, I will perform a full system defrag when my file fragmentation is beyond 3%. For me, that's about twice a week. For you, let's say it might occur once a month. I don't know, only you would but you should keep an eye on it (make ita habit) and see how long it takes to find your fragmentation at about that level. It can vary widely because it depends on the number of files you create, or delete and what type of applications you run during a "usual" user session.
    Email, for example, is an application (whether native or not) that causes the creation and deletion of files on the hard disk. If you use an online email client, think of the "browser cache" when it comes to the number of emails downloaded and deleted. Those are all files that become fragmented whether they're on the hard disk, or make up the garbage in the browser cache, makes no difference...it's all still disk space no matter how you think of it.
    Don't forget, even if you have your browser set to empty the temp files when you close it, the size of that "dump" file can vacillate, so to empty the cache upon closing the browser makes the next browser session run better but does nothing to assuage disk fragmentation.
    You'll see, if you do that, the system performs well on each session.
    In summary, install Anti-virus software, practice safe surfing, and maintain your computer. Remember to clean the disk first, then perform the system defrag otherwise you'll be sorting the garbage along with fragmented free space and files.
    Keep these principles in mind and your system will perform well giving you years of enjoyable computing.

  • Problem with security in Weblogic 8.1

    Hi, my name is Jesús Chávez Reyes and it is my first time in this forum.
    My problem is related with security in WL 8.1 because I am new in this matter. My problem is :
    I work in change completely the security of an enterprise application that is deployed in WebLogic 8.1 and your security is a based in a RDBMS Custom Realm in Compatibility Security.
    This application is composed by 18 EJB and 4 web applications.
    The objective of this change is:
    1.- Use a external system for authentication (though a web service).
    2.- If is possible: unbind security of WL for in a future deploy the application in other Server(Jboss for example).
    I'm trying to implement security with Acegi and Spring in a one of the four web applications. I deleted all it has to do with security in deploy descriptors and deleted the realm.
    At this point I can login in , using the Web Service of the external application, without difficulty.
    The problem arises when the application makes an instance of the EJB's. This is the way how the application makes the instances of the EJB:
    InitialContext context = new InitialContext( null );
    Object   = context.lookup(name); // name=GroupSessionFacade   (JNDI Name of EJB)
    EJBHome home = (EJBHome) objref;
    +...+
    GroupSessionFacadeHome home = (GroupSessionFacadeHome) objref;
    groupFacade = home.create();
    In this point GroupSessionFacadeHome home = (GroupSessionFacadeHome) objref the application throws ClassCastException. This happens with all EJB.
    The application work fine before of to use Acegi and remove all it has to do with security. I inspect the Object " objref " before and after and this happen:
    BEFORE
    Class Name: control.ejb.GroupSessionFacadek1696tHomeImpl
    SuperClass : weblogic.ejb20.internal.StatelessEJBHome
    Implement : weblogic.ejb20.internal.StatelessEJBHome , control.ejb.GroupSessionFacadeHome
    AFTER
    Class Name: control.ejb.GroupSessionFacadek1696tHomeImpl
    SuperClass : weblogic.ejb20.internal.StatelessEJBHome
    Implement : weblogic.ejb20.internal.StatelessEJBHome
    Here The object no implements the InterfaceHome "control.ejb.GroupSessionFacadeHome" !!!!!!!!!, this is the cause of ClassCastException.
    What is the problem? Is it a security problem? and if so what do I need to remove or add in the application and has no dependence on anything for the security of Web Logic?
    The deploy descriptors are:

  • Dual booting S540 and linux with Secure Boot?

    At some point I intend to install archlinux with dual boot on my Thinkpad S540 which currently runs Windows 8.1.
    All the current advice about dual boot on UEFI machines seems to indicate that the way to go is to disable Secure Boot (and Fastboot) for Windows, and then do the linux install choosing a linux bootloader to allow booting either O/S. I believe I know the steps needed to do that.
    Does anyone have any experience with dual booting Windows 8.1 and ArchLinux on the S540?  I would like to retain Secure Boot for Windows, and in the ideal world have Secure Boot running for ArchLinux also. However Secure Boot is fraught with problems for Linux. There are a few distributions such as Ubuntu which will in principle support Secure Boot but I only use ArchLinux and want to install that particular flavour of linux on my machine. It is of course possible to keep switching Secure Boot on and off in the BIOS before booting either of the two installed operating systems but it would be neater and cleaner to have it all with Secure Boot on, or all with it off.
    This is all very new stuff so there may well be a lot of problems, but it is worth exploring. I use rEFInd as my bootloader on another UEFI desktop computer to boot ArchLinux so I am familiar with that bootloader, but dual boot is another thing, and Secure Boot with the fast moving developments in that area is something that until now very few people have tinkered with.
    Any replies and guidance/suggestions appreciated.

    I'm guessing /boot can run from ntfs, however probably not as efficiently as if it were running on ext3/4. Mine runs on Ext4.
    To add confusion, you only create one Extended partition, all partitions you create within the Extended partition are called Logical partitions. You should be able to create enough Logical partitions for your needs.
    Primary/Extended partitions are normally sda1-4 and Logical partitions will usually start from sda5 on modern Sata HDD systems.
    For /boot I would create a small 100mb Ext4 Logical partition. This partition cannot be inside LVM nor encrypted when using Grub1.  I'm not familiar with Grub2.

  • I've been trying to update my apps but it keeps asking me to update my billing info. I retyped everything from my card and it keeps saying my security code is invalid.  Any suggestions?

    I've been trying to update my apps but it keeps asking for my billing info so i retype everything and it keeps saying my security code is invalid when i know its not.  It is same card they had on file before and the same security code but now it wont take it and i cant update anything. HELP!

    If you're positive the information is correct, ask the issuing bank why the transaction is being rejected.
    You're getting this error because the store can not authorize the card with your bank.

  • Configuring WL JMS as a foreign JMS provider with security scope (WLS 8.1)

    Hello, i have a problem accessing a queue from a foreign jms provider, if the queue has a security policy. I have the following scenario:
              1) Server server1 in domain1 (WLS81) has a JMS Server with one queue queue1 with a security policy "Caller is a member of the group GROUP_QUEUE". There is also a user USER_QUEUE user defined, which belongs to the this group.
              There is also a ConnectionFactory with "XA Connection Factory Enabled = true" configured.
              The queue and the connection factory are visible in the jndi tree of this server.
              2) Server server2 has a foreign jms server. Foreign JMSConnectionFactory and foreign JMSDestination refer to the jndi entries of server 1. For Foreign JMS Connection Factory username is set to USER_QUEUE. JNDI entries for foreign references are visible in jndi tree of this server.
              I wrote a standalone client to store messages in the queue accessing server1 with USER_QUEUE sucessfully.
              Now I try to deploy a MDB on server2 accessing the queue on server 1. I tried different versions of ejb-jar.xml/weblogic-ejb-jar.xml to access the queue, but with no luck.
              scenario a): no security entries in both descriptors; weblogic-descr has entries <destination-jndi-name> and <connection-factory-jndi-name> pointing to the local jndi names. REsult:

  • Old Oracle Session with Tomcat is not kiiling automatically

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem of increasing inactive oracle sessions with tomcat, Old Oracle sessions with tomcat are visible with new one.
    if somebaody did not restarted tomcat gracefully, then does Oracle keep the session connected or is there any way that whenever any one restarted tomcat abnormally, Oracle session can be killed.
    I had restart the database to kill session.

    Could you please tell me that where do i set this parameter in parameter file or sql net file and what is the recommended value, do you have any document on this.
    Another thing tomcat is in other server machine and my database is in different server machine, killing process in tomcat server machine manually may not kill linux process on oracle database machine and therefore oracle sessions are still there.
    Is it possible?

    2. I now do a Cntrl^N to Open a New Window in the same session (this opens on the same Page 880 in the new window) [Window 2].
    3. In Window 1, I click an item to update ie I want to put a comment on the Unconditional Branch so click this to go to the Update page. I see the F4000_P4313_ID is passed in the URL (ie the context, UID of the Branch).
    4. In Window 2, I change the page to 881 - ie this is overwriting my Session State variables for page 880 with page 881.
    5. I click an item in Page 881 to update ie I want to put a comment on the Unconditional Branch so click this to go to the Update page. I see the F4000_P4313_ID is passed in the URL (ie the context, teh UID of the Branch).
    6. In Window 1 (the Page 880), I add a comment to the Branch and 'Apply' changes. On returning to the Page the context has changed from 880 to 881 (as expected as Window 2 had overwritten the session state). Slightly confusing for the user as they did go from Page 880 not 881 but ok
    What intrigues me is how the Edit Branch page applied the update to the correct branch [good !]. Why weren't the Branch Session state variables (ie the Branch for Page 880) overwritten with the Branch Session state variables for the Branch from Page 881 ?
    Both navigations go to the same Page passing the UID of the branch, hence I would of thought the last navigation is the one that would be persisting (ie from Page 881 Window) ?
    Any tips on preventing users updating the wrong record because of the Session State being overwritten would be most welcome.
    Look forward to hearing from you.

    Let me take a shot at explaining this.
    Session state is stored in Oracle database tables. When a APEX page is rendered, those tables are read and the HTML is sent to the browser. When that page is submitted, all the HTML form inputs on the page are saved back into session state over-writing any existing values for that session
    So, in your example, since Page 4313 has the hidden page item (the "GUID" of the branch), it doesn't matter if any other window has the same page open with some other GUID. Each page is a self-contained "unit" which has all the information necessary to properly process that page when it is submitted.
    Think of it this way...in your example, when you have windows 1 and 2 open (window 2 was opened after window 1), go back to Window 1 and click the browser's Reload/Refresh button. Instead of refreshing the same page (branch 9000000), you will find that it will load branch 8000000! This is because session state is read from the database and when Window 2 was rendered, it has set F4000_P4313_ID in session state to 8000000.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I establish a telnet session with unit under test?

    I am going to the next step as a novice and moving from serial communications to ethernet on my unit under test. I have been all over the help and discussion forums etc and cannot find an answer. I need to open up a telnet session with my unit under test and keep it open to send commands back and forth for control of the unit. Can anyone give me a hint of how I am to establish this communication? I have the IP address and I am using port 23 but I just get the session started and then immediately closed. The sequence of events will be: start the session, the unit will reply with a username and then password, after that I need the session to remain open so I can send commands as if I am sitting at the serial port. When complete the session will then be terminated. Thanks in advance for any help.

    If you want to do telnet using plain TCP, you need to do everything yourself, including the telnet options negotiation.
    RFC 854 should have most of what you need (look towards the bottom).
    Most likely, the server will propose a few options, which you should either accept or reject depending on your needs.
    Easiest is probably to use a packet sniffer on a regular telnet session, then dissect the negotiation to see what that particular server wants.
    RFC 990 has a list of telnet options, look for the section labeled "ASSIGNED TELNET OPTIONS".
    It should be simple to write some code that negotiates with one particular host. It will be more difficult to write a full-blown telnet client that does general negotiations with any type of telnet server.
    I have a small program that telnets to a router to do some configuration. The only thing I reply to the proposed options is:
    "\FF\FD\03\FF\FE\01\r\n" (In \-codes). Translated: "Don't suppress go ahead, Do echo".
    (FF=IAC "Interpret as command", FD=Do, FE=Don't, 01=echo, 03= suppress go ahead.)
    LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

    If the App Store doesn't recognize your password, you should try to log into iTunes on your PC and make sure your password still works.  If it doen't work there you may have been hacked and you will need to get in touch with Apple directly.

    It means there is a problem with the sites security certificate.
    There should be a "Continue to this website (not recommended)" message.  I would not recommend doing that unless it is a site you know and trust.
    In IE10 you can not disable that feature.
    The following link will provide more information.

  • Iphone keeps rejecting my security number even though it is correct

    I cant downoad any apps or updates because my iphone keeps rejecting my security number that IS correct and DOES have money on it.

    When you go to Settings>Phone, what shows as your phone number? Is the temporary number you describe there or your regular phone number? You should be able to set it there. I don't know if there is a new place for setting anything associated with iMessage. I cannot find any reference in the iOS 5 manual regarding changing settings.
