  • Where are the .java files compiled from .jsp files stored?

              hi,
              I'm new to weblogic server. When I use Tomcat as the jsp server, it compiles .jsp
              files to .java files and then .class files. So when an error reported I can track
              it in the .java file.
              But what should I do with weblogic? It only saves the .class files in the work
              dir. Or is there a better way to trace errors in jsp files?
              Thanks!

    This should give you the information you need to set the keepgenerated flag:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs60/jsp/admin.html#53346
              Also, the .java files will be right next to the .class files with are under
              a tmp directory in the /WEB-INF directory under the WEB-INF if it is an open
              directory or in the
              config/mydomain/applications/.wl_temp_do_note_delete/WEB-INF directory if it
              is .war file.

  • How to Generate a Java file for a JSP Page

    Hi ,
    I am using weblogic11 .
    I am working on a JSP page which nearly consists of 4000 lines of code.
    I need to debug the file , but weblogic server is not generating the java file for the JSP pages .
    Please let me know how can i genertae Java file for the jsp pages ??

    JSPs are compiled into servlets automatically and those classes are stored in WEB-INF/classes folder. Servlet engine handles servlets.

  • IMessage interface Comp Controller (JAVA file) generated incompletely

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing a web dynpro java component, it has two views A & B (Comp view)
    I have rebuild the DC but not yet deployed it so no class files yet
    When i checked on the java code of my component controller it implements the IMessage interface, the corresponding package is imported, yet i can not call any values saying "<VALUE> can not be resolved"
    when i checked on the /wdp folder the java file for the IMessage<CompControllerName> does not contain the values, which explains the case above saying value can not be resolved.
    My question is why was this java file generated incompletely (without the values)?
    As i understand this java file is automatically generated by the WD code generator.
    Do i need to define the values manually in the file (by editing it),  or do i specify it graphically?
    Below SHOULD be the complete code generated::

    Thanks in advance

    What you will do in your controller is get a reference to the AM via the pageContext object.
    Like this:
    OAApplicationModule am=(OAApplicationModule)pageContext.getRootApplicationModule();
    Use the am ref to call methods in the am.

    I suspect you are trying to compile the files one by one. You may also be trying to compile them disregarding the package structure.
    From your post, I gather these files are in the package: com.geindustrial.sqms
    Therefore, if they are not so already, put them under a directory structure:
    com/geindustrial/sqms
    and then compile with:
    javac com/geindustrial/sqms/AddCtq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/Ctq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/VariableData.java
    (The above is all on one line.)

  • How to populate/import data in a XSD file generated from a webservice

    HI All,
      I have an XSD file generated from the webserive using the CRM FM E2C_DOWNLOAD_CRT_SCHEMA.
    I created a Adobe form with the Adobe life cycle designer using the XSD file.
    However Data will have to be entered manually in this adobe form and cannot be pre-populated with data, How do we pre-populate data in the Adobe form generated from XSD file of the above CRM FM.

    This is what you need:
    integer     li_fhandle, li_rcode = 1, li_sfound = 0, li_idx = 0, li_eqpos, i
    string ls_filename = 'C:\app.ini'
    string ls_line, as_key[], as_val[]
    string ls_section = '[General]'
    // OPEN INI FILE
    li_fhandle = FileOpen(ls_filename, LineMode!)
    IF IsNull(li_fhandle) OR li_fhandle < 1 THEN
      // DO NOTHING
    ELSE
      DO WHILE li_rcode > 0
      li_rcode = FileRead(li_fhandle, ls_line)
      IF li_rcode > 0 THEN
      IF POS(ls_section, ls_line) > 0 THEN
      li_sfound = 1
      CONTINUE
      END IF
      IF li_sfound = 0 THEN CONTINUE
      IF POS(ls_line, '[') > 0 AND POS(ls_line, ']') > 0 THEN EXIT
      li_eqpos = POS(ls_line, '=')
      li_idx++
      as_key[li_idx] = MID(ls_line, 1, li_eqpos - 1)
      as_val[li_idx] = MID(ls_line, li_eqpos + 1)
      END IF
      LOOP
    END IF
    FOR i = 1 TO li_idx
      messagebox('Key - Value',as_key[i] + ' = ' + as_val[i])
    NEXT
    // CLOSE INI FILE
    IF li_fhandle > 0 THEN
       FileClose(li_fhandle)
    END IF
    Adapt it to your needs... you probably should make it a function.

  • Oracle EBS R12 - how to compile jsp and keep .java file

    Hello.
    When I compile the jsp file, it will create the _pagename.class file into $COMMON_TOP/_pages directory. Some of the time it also keep _pagename.java file in there.
    How can force the compiler to keep the java file always.  I am using following command which creates _pagename.class file.
    perl $FND_TOP/patch/115/bin/ojspCompile.pl --compile -s 'ptcResponse.jsp' --flush
    It keeps the _pagename.java file some of the times and not other, example if the compilation fails then java files stored there otherwise only class.
    There has to be some way/location to see/keep the _pagename.java file, we need them for troubleshooting runtime error.

    It keeps the _pagename.java file some of the times and not other, example if the compilation fails then java files stored there otherwise only class.
    This is an expected behaviour.
    There has to be some way/location to see/keep the _pagename.java file, we need them for troubleshooting runtime error.
    The "perl ojspCompile.pl" command doesn't offer this -- Issue "perl ojspCompile.pl" and you will see what options are available.
    Your option is to keep/save the java files in a different directory.

    I know it's a security issue, because I've encountered the equivalent problem in ASP/IIS, and I had to give a domain user rights to both the IIS Virtual Directory, and the file share to be able to access.
    Any ideas how to set up Tomcat to be able to access the file share successfully?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Veer,
    From what you have posted it looks like while logging your error another problem occurred. Did you get any output from your System.out calls? If not can you try adding a few in order to home in the problem area.

  • VM crashes with big class files generated of JSPs

              Hi,
              When calling certain JSP pages with WebLogic Server 5.1 (SP 6) the HotSpot Virtual Machine (JDK1.3) crashes with a core dump.
              Using WebLogic as the JSP engine produces of every JSP page one java file which
              is compiled with javac to one class file. Each generated java file consists of
              just one method: _jspService(...){...}. One method is allowed to be of 64 K
              (the dynamic part 32 K as maximum). As we include other JSP pages and
              components and use taglibraries, the WebLogic JSP engine generates a very big
              java file (more than 1 MB). Javac compiles this to a class file which only
              method exceeds the 64 K limit. As the javac compiler does not reject the class
              file with the to big method the virtual machine crashes.
              Running the same JSP page on Windows NT 4 with WebLogic Server 5.1 (Service Pack 6)
              and JDK 1.3 BUT using the java option -classic works.
              Unfortunately it seems that there is no -classic option for java on Solaris for JDK1.3.
              Using JDK1.2 (JDK_1.2.2_05a) on Solaris or the jikes compiler of Jakarta
              causes an exception instead of a core dump but still does not work.
              Using solaris jdk1.2.2_05a the same page request results in the following exception:
              Tue Nov 21 09:08:16 CET 2000:<I> <WebAppServletContext-maxblue> Generated java file:

              Is there a way that the JSP engine of WebLogic creates/generates
              more than one function? (Without reengineering of the source code?)

    Thank you! I had no idea. But what is a FAT32 drive? Is it the work bench in the Mac, that is used for the transfering between the external hard drives? Is there any way around this then?
    I thought in these HD home movie days, that this was an easy thing dealt with everyday. I still need to understand what practical solutions I can find. The files are .mov - quicktime files.
    It couldn't be the case that files larger than 4BG should be locked in the hard drive forever?

  • Data visibility problem in PDF file generated from R/3 system

    Hi all,
    We are converting the output of a Smartform into a PDF format. From this smart from, we receive data in OTF format, after which the required data is converted from OTF format to PDF format. Then PDF data is sent through mail using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 as an attachment.
    For the above mentioned Smartform, we have defined Paragraph & Character font type as 'TIMES' in smart style. But when we receive the PDF file (through mail), some data of appears in other fonts:
    1) When PDF file is generated from Development system, the different font types which are used by PDF are Arial and Times-Roman. In this case, we are able to see the PDF output and faced no major problems because both of these fonts are supported by PDF file format.
    2) When PDF file is generated from Testing system, the font types which is used by PDF is Arial. In this case, we are able to see the PDF output because this font is supported by PDF file format.
    3) When PDF file is generated from Production system, the different font types which are used by PDF are Arial, Times-Roman and PBRS. Here, we are able to see the data which is displayed in Arial font and Times-Roman font. But we are not able to see the data which is displayed in PBRS font because this type of font is not supported by PDF file format. If we copy the distorted text from PDF file and paste it in MS-Word then the required data is clearly visible and that is due to the reason that MS-Word supports PBRS font.
    But as per smart style we have used only 'TIMES' font, then why different fonts are appearing in PDF file?
    What settings are required to be done to make this data visible?
    Any pointer to solve this issue will be really appreciable. Thanks in advance for your help.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Name of .exe file generated from Air Help

    Is there a way to customize the name of the .exe file generated by the Air Help output? I can specify the name of the .air file. But when the Air application is installed, the .exe filename is the same as the help title ("Help Title" field in the Adobe Air dialog box) . This means the help title is used in the title bar of the Air application, on the Start menu and Add/Remove Programs, and in the filename.
    I would like to use a shorter, one-word filename. I would expect the name of the .air file to be the name of the .exe file.
    I'm generating an Adobe Air application using RoboHelp 8.
    Thanks,
    - Maura

    I assume you are creating the file as a java.io.File object. Under those circumstances you should be able to specify the name and target directory when you save it:File f = new File(directory+System.getProperty("file.separator")+filename);Or, if you have already named it:
    f.renameTo("file.txt");Actually, now I look at it, I may have totally misunderstood what you are trying to do there- are you naming it right in the hyperlink?
